Based on someones comments on Nextdoor Neighbor I decided to try this restaurant. Can't imagine how many times I passed this place not even giving it a 2nd thought. I learned today that was my mistake. The food was excellent. I tried the meatball sub and lasagna with meat. Both were very tasty, good portion size and fairly priced. While there is no seating it's perfect for takeout. I will be a frequent customer from now on. read more

What a hidden gem in RIVERVIEW. I've lived here my whole life or within 10 miles, and never thought to stop, mostly because I thought it was never opened. What a mistake. My husband decided to stop and grab dinner for us, Italian sausage sandwich, meatball sub for the grands and a chicken pasta. This place was recommended as I was seeking a good lasagna. I placed an online order for pickup at 6 PM - two lasagnas with their garlic bread. Husband calls me at 6:15 to double check what I ordered as he only has one lasagna in the order. So he goes back to the guy that was there and he is given the option to wait 15 mins or take it and we warm it ourselves (No instructions given either). Now our order had already been placed since 5:15 PM...so they had enough time to make their order. The guy didn't even apologize for the mistake nor offer to do anything to remediate the mistake. If it wasn't for my husband checking the order, we would have been stolen almost $16!!! This was our first and last time buying from this place. read more

You may miss it if your e not careful so keep your eyes peeled when on 301 .... it's RIGHT by Pecks. It's the cutest lil "walk up and order" spot. I ordered the lasagna and it was so delicious. Review based on their food truck experience, order of toffee and canola. EXPENSIVE for the quality. Canlois are average, I saw a box of pre-made brand bought shells, tasted like nothing+cinnamon, filling was average, pretty bland. $8 for 2 canolis was unjustified for me. Toffee was good with coffee, but again, don't get the pricetag. Friend had peanut butter pie, didn't like it, couldn't even finish it, said it's nothing special. read more

I met the owner's spouse by chance and he recommended the Toffee and Caramel Cheesecake! I was determined to purchase a whole one same day because it just so happened to be my mother's birthday. He was nice enough to give me a direct number to the owner, Jennifer, to place my order. I called to confirm one was available and paid over the phone. Promptly picked it up after work and all I can say is this was the best 45 bucks I ever spent. This cheesecake was huge, evenly covered in a sea of toffee and caramel drizzle. I'm somewhat still new to the area & I have passed by this quaint restaurant several times & made a mental note that I needed to come back. Well yesterday was that day. And OH BOY was I so so pleased that I did ! I've never ever had ravioli that tasted that amazing. And I've had a Lot of ravioli in my life. Also the portions are very generous. I brought the rest of mine home & had it for dinner. I absolutely recommend this to anyone that likes Italian food. Like Real Italian food. Stopped by to grab some to-go meals and everything we tried was delicious! Service was quick and the food was fresh and piping hot. We tried the Lasagna, some Meatballs, and the Tuscan Chicken. Everything tasted great, perfect flavor and seasoning and nothing was too overpowering. For dessert we tried a Cannoli and a Brownie, both were exceptionally good! If you blink, you will miss this place on the north side of the Alafia. We had a chicken parm sub and a meatball sub for lunch. It was incredible! The sauce was tasty, just the right amount of cheese and bread with tasty filling. The owner was incredibly personable. We will be back to try some more things on the menu. Ordered Uber eats from them and when I placed an order it was cancelled. Decided to order again and the second order went through. Got our food, called to get the first order refunded, but they refused because "they had started making it" even though it was instantly cancelled and we never received another order?? Wanting to try something new in my area, I stopped into a small Italian food spot just past the river on 301 in a tiny stand-alone kitchen. So glad I did! The meatball sub was amazing! First of all, everything had an authentic and fresh taste. I live in Livorno, Italy a few months every year and think my Italian friends would also like it. The meatballs were the right size, not huge or tiny, seasoning tasted amazing, and perfectly cooked. The sauce was delicious. The cheese was tasty and perfectly melted. THE BREAD which is often overlooked but can ruin an otherwise perfect sandwich of any type for me, was perfect soft and just doughy enough to be moist and delicious.
