It's great to finally have a Puerto Rican bakery in Brandon. Especially one that knows how to make mallorca pastries. It's hard to find them here, and I've never seen one with cheese and guava. This was a first for me and it was delightful. The only other mallorcas I've had were on the island at La Bombonera in OSJ and at Panificadora Pepin. Heck, I don't even remember seeing them in Miami back when I was a kid. I just remember Mom saying that no one knows how to make them like they do in Puerto Rico. She was right. Well, these are very close to what I remember although these are a little bit thicker than the ones I've had. I'll definitely go back for these pastries. The café con leche was pretty good too. The sandwiches were good but I have to agree with Carlos. I've had better sandwiches in the area for better prices. Also, they ran out of pan de aqua the day I was there. All they had was pan sobao for sandwiches. I do like sweet bread but I wasn't in the mood for a sweeter type of sandwich bread. The pork on the Cubano was tasty but there was very little lettuce and tomato. The Yunque Tripleta is made with your choice of meat. It was very filling, but I couldn't taste any difference between the steak and the pork. Not that it mattered but it could have been any kind of meat because it was all chopped up together. It's similar to what you'd get at the food trucks in Puerto Rico but less meaty and small. I also got 2 empanadas (chicken & beef). The chicken was the better of the two. I really liked it and would get it again. The passion fruit drink was also very good. I did see that they will be offering chicken guisado and other platters with rice and beans. They didn't have any the last 2 times I was there. I'll update this review once I try it. They have breakfast. They open at 7:00 am which is wonderful. There will be more visits, but not on a Saturday when it's super busy. The service was friendly and welcoming. You order at the counter and they will call your name when it is ready. You may get a pager/buzzer if they have one. It depends on how busy they are that day. The wait for food coming out of the kitchen can take a very long time on a busy Saturday. Keep that in mind if you're in a hurry. There's plenty of dining space inside so you might as well sit down and wait for your food.

We stopped by on a Sunday after church and walked right up to the counter to order. We ordered a cuban, cuban swiss cheese toast and a light and bold cafe con leche. We were given a pager and admired all the doughnuts and other sweet treats in the display case. My light coffee needed no sugar but the bold we added a little bit. They were both smooth and delicious. The cuban with the pulled pork was very good but a bit salty. The cuban toast was also great. We came just in time as the line started and did not slow down the entire time we were there. It is not a fancy place by any means but the service was very good and they were friendly. This may be our new Sunday morning coffee and toast spot.

I purchased some pastries and they were all good. I'll definitely be back to try some of the lunch items. The restaurant was cozy and the service was okay.

Some kind of sweet bread with guava and cream cheese

I stopped by for lunch to look around. Did not notice that they had hot fresh sandwiches. I ordered a Cuban Sandwich fresh and hot the pork was so seasoned to perfection like my mom would do. Something sweet Mallorcas with guava and cream cheese. Excellent it's huge 3 people could share. This place is in Brandon, FL

Inside was bright and clean and pink, with cute signs and decorations on all walls. We were immediately greeted and given the spiel since we had never been: cookies with or without frosting, cookie ice cream sandwich with flavors of your choosing, boxes of cookies, or just ice cream. I went with a sprinkle cookie with icing, and it was perfect. I love icing so sweet it makes me shudder, and makes my teeth feel like they are about to fall out, and this hit all those benchmarks. We were told that while the cookies are made in house, the ice cream is not; however, it is made by a local dairy (ice creamery?) and brought in fresh. Go here eat cookies be happy!

In my photos I numbered the $25.99 12 mini cookies with 1 being the best and 10 being the worst. I couldn't label the 11th cookie, but just look at the photo. I did order 2 chcolate chip cookies on the left side. I didn't try all of the cookies, but here is my ranking from best to worst: (Best) 1. Red Velvet - the icing is actually delicious 2. Birthday Cake 3. Peanut Butter 4. Pink Strawberry 5. Stuffed Oreo white chocolate 6. Stuffed Oreo milk chocolate 7. Turtle caramel chocolate 8. M&M 9. Sprinkle 10. Chocolate Chip (I ordered 2) 11. Snickerdoodle Overall, if I came back for cookies, only the top 2 were worth ordering. The brownie you should absolutely get. For any other style cookie, Bake N babes (especially chocolate chip) or Indy's cookies are the best you can get around Tampa Bay.

They sell pastries, desserts, breads, sandwiches, and more. It's great that they are close to home. I absolutely love their guava & cheese quesitos. They are so delicious! I'm not usually a fan of this combination, but I love this particular version. Maybe because the cheese filling is sweeter. They also have strawberry and pineapple turnovers. I've only had the pineapple which I haven't seen in this area. It was great! The guava pastries are also a winner. I'd go back many more times just for these items alone. The mallorca wasn't my favorite. It's good, but it's more of a bread consistency than a sweet roll. The cheese and guava on top was very good. It was just too dense in my opinion. But hey, what do I know? I'm just a Puerto Rican gringa whose parents were born on the island. I'm guessing there are two different versions. The version that I know (and my mother loved) is the softer one that is more like a sweet roll. I've also had better ham & cheese mallorca sandwiches. However, I will try their other sandwiches and fritter appetizers for lunch one day. Other than that, everything else I've tried was wonderful. I love that the turnover and pastries are flaky and full of flavor, unlike some other bakeries. They are perfect! I do want to try the donuts and tornillos. I also want to try the breads. There will definitely be more visits, and very soon.

This family-run spot, led by Ken and Andi, delivers an inviting experience with its open-air chicken coop, vibrant fruit trees, and a cozy farmstand open Thursday through Sunday. With its standout cinnamon rolls, homemade jellies, and the option to pop in for a quick treat during the day, Wingspread Farm earns a solid five stars. The baked goods are the heart of the menu, crafted from scratch with natural ingredients and no preservatives. The cinnamon rolls are legendary, rich Danish pastry swirled with sweet cinnamon filling and topped with a creamy glaze that melts in your mouth, available fresh on Saturdays. Pecan sticky buns ooze with gooey caramel and crunchy nuts, while the rotating selection of cookies in flavors like chocolate chip or unique specialties keeps things exciting. The artisan bread lineup shines with French baguettes that are crusty outside and soft inside, plus Hungarian soft milk bread that's perfect for toasting. Farm-fresh eggs from uncaged chickens add a protein-packed touch, and the seasonal produce, like mangoes, guavas, limes, and avocados from on-site trees, brings the garden to your plate. Don't miss the homemade jams and jellies--guava strawberry or habanero mango varieties burst with authentic fruit flavors, made without chemicals for a pure, tangy spread. Savory options like Hungarian salami and fine cheeses round out the offerings, making it easy to build a picnic or charcuterie board. The value comes from the freshness and variety, with generous portions that feel indulgent yet approachable. You can swing by during the day for a single cinnamon roll or jar of jelly, ideal for a quick coffee break or snack run, with the farmstand's laid-back setup encouraging relaxed browsing. Compared to big-box bakeries, Wingspread's handmade quality and local sourcing make every item feel special without excess. They even have several options for those gluten intolerant like my wife and daughter. The service is personal and heartfelt, with Ken and Andi greeting visitors like old friends, sharing stories about their sustainable practices or the chickens roaming freely. They're quick to offer samples or tips on pairing bread with their jellies, creating a community vibe that's as nourishing as the food. The farm is clean and disability-friendly, with paved paths and covered seating for comfortable lingering, plus the joyful sight of chickens doing their thing adds a fun, kid-friendly element. Wingspread Farm is more than a bakery; it's a slice of rural joy in Valrico. Whether grabbing a quick pastry or stocking up on eggs and produce, the wholesome treats and welcoming spirit make every visit delightful. For its exceptional baked goods, fresh farm offerings, and genuine hospitality, Wingspread Farm gets five stars. It's a must-visit for anyone craving artisan flavors and a touch of farm life.
