Great place to eat awesome family atmosphere Italian bakery, and bar you can't go wrong

Mandola's is one of my favorite places to eat in Riverview. The food is always solid, and I really appreciate that they have gluten free options that don't feel like an afterthought. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a warm Italian vibe that makes it a great spot whether it's date night or dinner with family. The service has always been friendly and attentive every time I've been. And I have to mention the margaritas because they're honestly my favorite in Riverview. I wasn't expecting that from an Italian restaurant, but they're consistently excellent. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. I'll definitely keep coming back. read more

Our family went there Friday night, and boy are we glad we did. The shrimp scampi was out of this world! I only ordered it because it was the special and my brain was over making decisions for the day. They have something special, and I don't think I've had a better scampi outside of Italy. It was that good. Our table also had the calamari, fried mozzarella, and lasagna. Everything was made to order and you can taste the quality and authenticity in every bite. The location was busy but the service was spot on. They had workers walking around, cleaning, and checking on guests. Even the manager was on the floor and very present. That speaks to their commitment to providing a solid dining experience. The decor did seem a little cluttered, but the speed to which we received our food had us in and out, so we weren't affected by the environment too much. Overall, I've found my new Italian spot in Riverview. I'll eventually go every day of the week to try all their specials. That's how lasting my first experience was. read more

We visit Mandola's often, it's one of my family's favorites. Even on busy nights, the line to order moves quickly and the food is delivered quickly as well. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is nice and efficient. I wish they had more variety now that we've been coming here for years, but the quality is consistent. read more

I'm back for round 2! I just love his restaurant! They have dinner specials on different days of the week. On Friday's they have Shrimp Scampi with a side of Fettuccine Alfredo. I was craving fettuccine alfredo and this did not disappoint. I came in sat at the bar because it's full service. I ordered an adult lemonade, which was delicious and the right price. I put in my order for the fettuccine and grabbed some bread. It came out and freaky fast fashioned like Jimmy John. I will say for this to be a combination of sit down, fast food-esk restaurant. My kids constantly ask for Mandola's and so we finally cane in for lunch time. The inside wasn't too busy and we were able to order right away the service we received the entire time was very friendly even when the delivered complimentary bread and our meals. The food came out super quick which was nice the kids enjoyed every bite. After they were finished they get a little kids gelato cup, which might be their favorite part. Very unique pizzeria! A lovely design and tasty food. The entrance features a gelattoria which serves select samples of baked goods, next is a vino bar full of wine and beer options, the main "vendor" is the pizzeria. The bathroom featured free baby essentials (wipes, diapers) and women's sanitaries (pads, tampons) how generous and thoughtful. The outdoor patio was nice and lit. The indoor area featured kids tables/chairs/booster seats and multi color tables. Very family centric and service was wonderful. The food was great as well :) Go, enjoy!! read more

My wife and I went there tonight and we were truly impressed!! The food is authentic and fresh. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The minestrone was delicious, not mushy, but beautifully fresh. And DO NOT skip the cannoli. We took two for home. read more

Upon arrival, you walk in, enter a line to place your order, receive a number, and then seat yourself--a process that's both smooth and efficient. From the moment we stepped in, every staff member was warm and welcoming. The food? Absolutely incredible. We ordered the lasagna with homemade meatballs (made in-house and unbelievably good), the margherita pizza (easily one of the best I've had), garlic fries, fettuccine Alfredo, calamari, and a Caesar salad--every single dish was delicious. The desserts were a highlight on their own. Bibi, who was working behind the counter, was so friendly and went out of her way to let us sample different treats. Her kindness and knowledge made the experience even more enjoyable. The desserts were rich, fresh, and downright mouthwatering. 10/10 experience--I can't recommend Mandola's enough! read more

Mandola'S Italian Kitchen is a hidden gem. The cuisine was scrumptious and the staff were nice and friendly. The manager was present, ensuring that all patrons were satisfied with their meals. The gelato ice cream was also exceptional. I opted for the tangerine flavor, which was refreshing, while my husband chose the pistachio and almond. We will certainly return to sample other dishes. We ordered the chicken parmigiana with fettuccine Alfredo, and my husband had the eggplant parmigiana with red sauce spaghetti. I'll be completely honest: I don't normally love a fast casual type of environment, but the service here is so excellent, I couldn't resist commenting! Similarly, I don't love Italian food, but I also feel like a good dining experience near Sun City Center is sorely lacking. So my family and I were happy to try Mandola's! It has exceeded our expectations. I was able to get one of the best Caesar salads I have ever eaten. (Note, the chilled plate is a sign of a restaurant noticing the small things.) And the service is speedy, with the complimentary focaccia and oil hitting my table almost as soon as we were seated. ATTENTION: Don't be like me. The first time I visited, I was like, "I'm not paying 18%-20%-25% to grab drinks from a cooler, submit my own order, and grab my own utensils." This was my second visit to Mandola's, my first visit I ordered to-go. Their to-go portions are reasonable and they give you plenty of bread. I enjoyed my dine-in experience. You pick up a menu, order your food, and take a ticket that goes to your table so they can bring the food to you. The food comes out piping hot! And they also provide Parmesan cheese! This adorable restaurant has Authentic and yummy Italian food. The bread and olive oil with herbs is amazing. And you will want to check out the dessert case as it is to die for! I liked this place! I got the fettuccini Alfredo and I think it had really generous portions and the pasta was extra saucy. The people working were all very nice and welcoming. The way it works is a little different than a regular restaurant. Instead of someone coming in to sit you at a table and take your order you have to order your food ahead of time and pick your own table. The service was still really fast and I liked this different approach since there were less interruptions! Although my husband said the chicken piccata was a little underwhelming I overall liked the experience and would come back to try something different off of the menu! read more

Pros: the ambience & the service Cons; the changes in the new menu just kills it for us.. chicken piccata with a side of pasta w/red sauce? What? Why? Why would any chef thinks this is a good combination? Now you have to request no sauce or pay an extra $2.5 to get alfredo.. again why not the sauce on the chicken piccata not on the pasta like before?? Then the salmon dish.. perfectly great before, now it has this minty tomato ( bruschetta like but instead of basil- mint??? ) Im so confused by these changes...why change something completely perfect to whatever this new creation is?? We decided to try this place & we love Italian food so seemed like a WIN to us! I had a margherita pizza & husband had a meatball sub. Half the pizza is dry (no sauce, no oil, no ingredients) from the crust to inside the pizza center... only the very center has ingredients & what is there is terrible! Ingredients don't taste fresh and look at the picture, does that look appetizing (maybe to some) but I like a yummy looking pizza when you pick a piece up the cheese pulls. As you can see there are "spots" on the pizza with cheese & this was ordered with EXTRA cheese. The sub was DRY too. The crust was so hard my husband thought he would cut his mouth on it. Look how dry, no sauce! So if you go here, ask for sauce for anything you eat because they don't use sauce here. The meatballs, don't get me started. Obviously we aren't going back here. I love trying a restaurant I have never been to and finding a true gem. And I had that experience yesterday at Mandola's. While technically a fast casual dining experience, we felt better taken care of than at many full service dining locations. Any restaurant experience is grounded in the quality and taste of the food, Mandola's excels. My Chicken Marsala was one of the best versions I've had. The sauce was rich and flavorful. And accompanied by a trenette pasta in a light and fresh sauce of olive oil, garlic, basil and chunky plum tomato's. Other dishes we had were a traditional spaghetti and meatballs and Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken. Everything was exceptional. In addition, A GREAT dining out experience is defined by how the staff and ambiance makes you feel. I was a little apprehensive about a "fast casual" establishment but Mandola's' is a master class in hospitality. They make you feel so welcome, taken care during your time there, and appreciated. This Place is Excellent! Outstanding customer service from the staff. Gianna is one of the Managers there and she is so awesome! She was very professional, charming and listens to the customers. I was very impressed with her knowledge and professionalism. Luis is a Coffee Master. Anything he makes turns to gold. He has a real nice touch in making coffees, expressos and any type of drink in the bakery. Very knowledgeable individual who understands how important Italian Coffee is.
