I was sadly and honestly disappointed. I don't see us returning unfortunately. We were sat next to the servers station, we suggested to the manager that they put up a barrier for future guests. First we could not hear each other from all the silverware clashing and second throughout our dinner 3 times glasses were shattered at the station. The third time we were concerned, a little piece of glass had fallen in our food. The server and the manager were nice but the manager seemed to think that the solution was for the servers to slow down. That doesn't make sense to me but ok. They did remake a plate to go for us, so that was nice. The food was a little meh to me. The short ribs could have used some salt or seasoning before making the ravioli's (same with the chicken parm) just a suggestion. Pasta tasted undercooked and as if it was box pasta. I've lived in nyc and have had some really good Italian food there so I'm a little critical. What an amazing experience. Went here for a business dinner on a Wednesday night. The place was packed. They have free valet so that's a major plus. There wasn't a single table open so it was fairly noisy but not so much that you couldn't carry on a conversation. We started with meatballs as an app. There were 3 to a serving and since there were 4 in our party, the server added a 4th. Nice touch. For my main, I got the viral internet sensation - table-side chicken parm. It was so good. Like - amazingly good. There was something different about the cheese - I swear I tasted cheddar. Excellent. The restaurant is architecturally well done with an open dining room, however there is so much noise, that it is painful. The hostess staff behave like they are landing aircraft rather than greeting clients. I doubt they saw my face upon check in, as they were occupied with looking at their screens and playing with their hair. The reservation was a suggestion, as we waited 10 min past the scheduled table time. And we waited in the entrance, which was not not equipped to have people waiting. There was neither seating or space to stand. Our waiter, once seated, was wonderful. He offered suggestions and was quite pleasant. The food was flavored well, but the temperatures were off. Barely warm meatballs with lukewarm sauce/polenta. Cold Burrata on toast, with roasted tomatoes that were room temperature. The arancini were too heavy for our tastes, but there was nothing wrong with them. The tables are so close together, that the waitress for the next table decided to take their order from between tables. Her body and ponytail were in our space. And just like the hostesses, she didn't know we were there. We were a party of 2, and still, they add 15% to all checks to distribute to the staff. The waiter informed us of this and let us know we could leave additional money. The place was packed and I think I'm in the minority with my opinion about it being pretentious and uncomfortably loud and congested. I was excited to visit the Tampa Olivia restaurant for brunch as I enjoy the St. Pete location. The dining room is bright and beautiful. My party was celebrating two friend's birthday and was immediately seated at our reservation time. Kate our server was super helpful and friendly. I initially ordered the prime burger and asked for it to be well done. Once I received my plate, I was ready to dig in and decided to cut the burger in half as it was so big. Good thing I did because the burger was totally rare on the inside. In the meantime, I decided to eat my side of couscous and discovered there was hair in couscous. I informed the server and she took the dish to the back. The manager did come to the table and was apologetic about the undercooked burger. Despite the busy restaurant service was so fast and friendly and so attentive with table wipe downs in between courses . We made a reservation early for 530 parking lot was small, but they have complementary valet, which is so convenient. They have a special vegan menu and vegetarian options as well and the drinks were awesome as well. I got the strawberry Fields mocktail, which was perfect. Our server was excellent and advised us of her recommendations, which were spot on. We started with the garlic bread, which was unique and delicious, probably the best we've ever had. I like that it's a stand alone restaurant and very elegant. We went for Mother's Day and most tables had vases of pretty fresh flower arrangements. So many yummy things on the menu. My daughter had us split a croissant with fresh strawberry jam as an appetizer. For our meal I chose the waffle with ricotta and strawberries and my daughter had the frittata. Our server told me that their waffle maker was putting charred material on the waffle so if I wanted I could switch to bombini's with the same topping. 5 minutes later he said there was still one good waffle available. Visited Olivia in Tampa for a special occasion. Major letdown. I responded to the manager's email a couple of months ago to share our disappointing experience, but we never received a reply. The place looks nice. We arrived for our reservation at 8:45 pm, hoping to avoid some of the crowd. Nope! It was very loud and busy! Inside also looks nice, just very noisy. Unfortunately, the food was all disappointing. The service started well but declined to the point of being ignored by the end (my fiancé and I both spent several years as servers, so we are empathetic, pleasant, and patient). We really had high hopes after reading the reviews. But after talking with several other couples since then, they all said the same thing: the Tampa location isn't good, but the St. Pete location is great. We started with the Coccoli Fritto, which was nothing special, so we wouldn't recommend it. We also ordered the Wagyu Carpaccio, which was okay. The Wagyu was good, but there was just so little of it. I forget what it was served over, which might indicate it was underwhelming. For entrées to pair with the Pinot Noir, we had the squid-ink pasta and the Agnolotti. My fiancée didn't care for the pasta, but I thought it was okay. It's definitely al dente if you want it otherwise. The portion was on the smaller side, and on a scale of 1-10, I'd give it a 6. Nothing to write home about. She got the Agnolotti and said it was good. I did not care for it at all. I bought $100 in holiday gift certificates to get a $20 bonus gift certificate. I spoke to the manager at length around 4 pm to make sure I could use all $120 in GCs that night. When I tried to pay, they wouldn't accept the $20 gift certificate. I informed the server of the manager I spoke with earlier, and all the details. He took it to a different manager who never visited us, didn't care about the earlier confirmation, and denied us its use. I don't want it to go to waste, so I guess we'll try the St. Pete location next time we're in that area. Fingers crossed! We recommend going elsewhere and are putting far less faith into the whole Michelin Star system (not our only Michelin disappointment recently). read more

We had a table for 8 for brunch a few Sundays ago and this was a meal of gluttonous proportions. I believe we ordered all the apps. Literally all of them. We got the Waffle Bombolini that came with a chocolate and caramel spread. These were more like cake donuts that looked like waffles and probably should have been our dessert. Very tasty. The meatballs were solid, the truffle fries were perfectly crisp pillows of heaven, and then there was the garlic bread. I could write a 1000-word essay on this garlic bread. This was by far the best garlic bread I have ever eaten. The bread was crisp on the outside, slightly doughy in the middle with slivers of fresh garlic and tons of butter. Phenomenal. After chowing on all of this for a while we ordered entrees. 3 of us just decided to split 2 pizzas: The Soppressata and the Honey and ham. The honey and ham was by far the better of the 2 with that salty/sweet combo. The Soppressata was pretty good but I didn't like the chili powder flavor on a pizza. Still a solid five star experience. I love the food here. This was our first time going for brunch and it didn't disappoint. We were celebrating our 11 year wedding anniversary. Sometimes I add that to a reservation and it disappears into a black hole, but not here. There was a card on the table, the waiter wished us a happy anniversary and we got complimentary prosecco. They really know how to make you feel celebrated. My husband got an old fashioned which he really liked. I got a passion fruit mocktail, which was more tart than I was expecting and it was carbonated which it didn't say on the menu. I'd skip it next time. That was the only part of the meal I didn't enjoy. The rest was superb. I got the chef's omelet without the pancetta. It comes with an arugula side salad. The green sauce on the omelet was delicious. It was lightly fried and we both loved it. The only downside to the location is the parking lot is small. However they have complimentary valet if you can't find a spot in their lot. Not even kidding when I say this is the only place I ate at last weekend when I was in Tampa! My bf wanted to take me because he stopped while in town and raved about the garlic bread. I am beyond thrilled with not only the food but also the service at Olivia's. I've been dying to try this place, and my taste buds are absolutely happy as can be. I went on a Sunday and had the best experience. It felt comfortable, elevated, and easy to enjoy a full meal without feeling overwhelmed or rushed. Our server was training someone, but you couldn't even tell--it was so professional. One thing I noticed was how many people work there, and I really hope it stays that way. Each staff member had a specific role, and it made the entire service feel seamless. There was no rushing and no stress on the servers. You could tell they really enjoyed what they were doing. They also offer complimentary valet, and you can even Venmo a tip, which made arrival and departure super easy. At the end of our meal, someone even came to box up our food for us--we didn't have to do it ourselves. Very old school NY!!! Top-tier service. As for the food: the oysters we had were flavorful, and the garlic bread selection was soft and not overly heavy on the garlic. My friend ordered the scallops with risotto and crispy prosciutto, and I ordered the special chicken Parmesan with a side of spaghetti in a lemon sauce that they suggested. I was in the mood for a lemon-flavored pasta, and they absolutely delivered. Both plates were phenomenal. I wish they had a place like this in Orlando.
