Pistachio martini - tasted like melted pistachio ice cream but delicious for an after dinner drink.
    Amanda D.

Tried this place since I seen another Yelp Elite try it out and it did not disappoint! The Lg Caesar Salad was huge big enough for 4 people to share. The truffle gnocchi was out of this world and I was would definitely ads a protein to this dish. I added the grilled chicken and it was the perfect addition to this dish. We also ordered the West Village pizza and I loved it but I wish the fig jam on top wasn't as heavy. I would definitely ask for this to be on the side or just less than the normal amount. Made this pizza very sweet with the caramelized onions. Overall I really enjoyed my experience at Giacarlo's and the food came out super fast. We had two of the 3 food items we ordered before our bar drinks came! Will definitely be back to try some different items!

Great time at the new Giancarlo's last night! We can early around 5pm to be able to enjoy the happy hour specials, which are offered every day including weekends! Certain apps and pizzas are 25% off and drinks are discounted. We sat outside on their super nice outdoor patio! The vibe was lively and upbeat, it was comfortable and well laid out! We started with a few spritz's which were delicious! Apps we had the meatball trio and attempted to get the calamari, but they were all out unfortunately. The meatballs were delicious and you could tell they were homemade. Dinner we decided on the Bufalina sandwich which was the chicken cutlet with hot said lettuce and cucumber. It was delicious!! Also did the Parmesan truffle fries which were perfectly crunchy and not overpowered with truffle. It was just right. The bar pie was the Honeymoon which was pepperoni with hot honey. I will say the pizza and second sound of drinks did take a while to come out. All the good and drinks were very good! Our server was very nice and apologetic for any wait, but I could tell she was very new as she did not know the menu. Overall, I would love to come back soon!

Giancarlo's is such a cute, casual brunch spot. The iced coffee is amazing, the menu has so much to offer, and our waitress was amazing when I went! Definitely recommend the Tiramisu Latte and Goat & Glory sandwich.

Our waiter was nice and helpful! The host was also very kind and enthusiastic. When we were pulling up we weren't sure we were in right place. But once you see it, you'll be glad you did. The porch area is so cute! We got the MVP pizza, I love the thin crust the pizza felt light, but filling. We also tried the chicken parm, the extra Parmesan cheese on top was an amazing touch and the extra vodka sauce too!! Drinks wise I got The G's Spot and it was a great addition to the meal. Next time I'm in TPA, I will definitely be coming back!

We ordered through uber eats and had the wings, large Caesar, arancini, Fischer blvd sandwich and spicy rigatoni with chicken cutlet added. Overall, it wasn't atrocious but it also wasn't memorable. I am glad we tried it but I would not recommend or return. I would say overall, everything was fine but sub par. The caesar was fine but sub par. The arancini was also fine but sub par. We ordered the wings extra crispy and they were not crispy at all. The spicy rigatoni was not spicy and the added chicken was not that great. The Fischer Blvd would be the best of the 5 by default.

A new place, plenty of seats and tables inside and outside. Large menu with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Salads, sandwiches and pizzas. Manager was friendly and service was ok. We started with coffee- too acidic and we couldn't drink it. The arugula salad had too much vinegar so my friend left it. Another friend liked her chicken sandwich snd my pizza had too much sauce and as much as i wanted to love the food, we unfortunately didn't.

    Matcha and coffee

Starting off with the positives: the space is so nice and a great addition to the North Howard area. I love the outdoor seating and the different stations that you can get coffee, pizza, and drinks at. I think this will be a great place regardless of the weather in Tampa. I plan on remote working here every once in a while, as well. For the shortcomings: we tried the coffee and matcha. Both were pretty mediocre. My vanilla latte was pretty sour tasting, and the matcha latte was pretty much a light green color with 99% milk and sugar. Our friend also ordered the cream cheese and the consistency was so watery!!! I looked past the texture, but the taste was also not there and that everything bagel was pretty salty. To be fair, I didn't try the pizza yet and that looks like it will be very delicious! But from the drinks and the bagels so far, I am not impressed with the food.

Came here on a Saturday night with a large party and had a great experience. I ordered the Honey Moon pizza and an Aperol spritz.. both were delicious! The service was friendly and attentive, even with it being busy. They have a really nice setup with both indoor and outdoor seating. Would definitely recommend!

    Hot- salted caramel pistachio latte
    Carrie S.

This review is only for the coffee- we ordered the salted caramel pistachio latte - both hot and iced. The barista told us this is a more "coffee forward" drink- and it was indeed which we appreciated! The flavor was there however there were actual chunks of pistachio in it which was off putting- we both would prefer a more smooth style coffee drink without chunks. Overall a yummy drink and nice atmosphere!

    Amy P.

Came here for dinner after hearing about the great food. I was surprised at how casual the inside was compared to how elevated everything tasted. The pistachio martini was probably the best drink I've tasted in a while! It was light and frothy. The service was fine. They checked on us often and gave us some recommendations. I'll definitely be back!

    Kid friendly!!

Great experience at Giancarlo's yesterday! Food was excellent. The chicken cutlets on the sandwiches are SO good. Loved the ambiance, especially that it's kid friendly. Plenty of space for my toddler to run around in the gated outdoor seating area. Can't wait to go back. Next time I want to try the Homesick Bagels spot that's connected. Great addition to Tampa!

Food tastes great, atmosphere is amazing, service is quick, and all the employees look like they genuinely enjoy what they're doing.

It's got that all-around fun, energetic atmosphere that makes it a solid choice for drinks. Not sure how it is during the week, but it would make for a fun date night spot to grab some cocktails. That said, I had a real hang-up the last time I went with my girlfriend around Christmas. They tried to hit us with a $10 cover just to get in, on top of $15-20 cocktails. I don't mind paying for a nice spot, but the cover felt absurd, especially since it wasn't even busy. The bouncer said we could make a reservation to avoid it, so I did...and then he made us stand outside forever before letting us in. At that point, we should've just left, but since my friend had never been, we stuck it out to try the themed Christmas cocktails. Once inside, there was a two-drink minimum per person, which is kind of crazy. It feels like they jip you either way...cover or no cover, minimum spend or not. While waiting outside (for no real reason, since it was empty), we chatted with a party of six who came straight from Ash (the sister restaurant upstairs). They'd just spent over $1,000 on their meal and were still getting charged a cover to enter Alter Ego. That's poor business, don't force extra fees to guarantee money when good music, drinks, and vibes should bring people in naturally and make them want to spend. There's plenty of places on Water Street with great (and I'd say better) cocktails where you're not forced into minimums or covers. The Christmas cocktail menu was disappointing too, poor selections and way too sugary. Love the potential here, but the strict policies really turned me off and made me want to go elsewhere next time.

The ambiance was nice. A lot of eclectic paintings on the walls. And loved the outfits of the servers. Very 20's speakeasy. There is a live jazz band that started performing at 7 pm. They were good but at some points it was a bit difficult to speak and listen to those at your table unless you got really close. My meal hit the spot. We started with a charcuterie board for the table. It had a lot of great options like dried apricots, actual honeycomb pieces, and my most favorite cheese, some Brie cheese. The only thing was there was only 4 pieces of bread, one for each of us, which wasn't enough but I guess it made sense not to fill us up too much. For my main meal I had the sweet potato salad which was very tasty and the sweet potato risotto, which a little spicy kick. The only thing I missed was the Brussels sprouts and potatoes but was told that was from the previous chef. But they serve you enough so you definitely will have left overs. Not a big fan of eating in the lounge areas, those are best just for drinks and maybe desserts. But it's definitely a great place to people watch. Hubby ate the whole thing, but I had the rest of mine for dinner. So good! Two of our friends ordered the Truffle Mushroom Smash Burger and they loved them. I tried my buddy's tater tots, which he ordered with his French Dip. They were nice and crispy, but could have used some kind of flavoring, like Parmesan or truffle.
