Pandan Killer is the GOAT! 3 skulls & sneaky it is

This place is so fun & the drinks are STRONG! The ambiance really makes you feel like you're tucked away & I love the speakeasy concept. I will say it's starting to become too busy, but I'm glad they're getting good business.

Morgan's Cove is a hidden gem that is right in Downtown Tampa. This pirate themed speakeasy has a cool theme with real pirate artifacts. They offer many drink options and even mocktails. There are a few food options, as well. Service was great and attentive. There's street parking available. I would recommend going on a weekday or going early once they open. I've seen the line for this place wrap around the building.

A fun new speakeasy with awesome drinks. FYI if you're looking for clear alcohol, it's not here. My friend said she couldn't find where the vodka drinks were and the bartender said that's because they didn't serve clear alcohol, lol. They do have tequila (I'm guessing not blanco), so if you don't like rum you are still fine. I really appreciate how they only let in the number of people they have seats for. We got there at 6:45 pm on a Friday and they were on a waitlist. It took about half an hour for our party of four to get a text that our seats were ready. This isn't a problem at all since Yeoman is in the same building and had ample seating at the bar. If you order at Yeoman, you can bring your drink over with you. Inside is beautifully pirate themed. I got the Pandan Killer. Just for future Christina, it is good, but I was reminded I'm not a creamy drink lover. Next time I should try something else. Service was fast and friendly. I love it not being crowded since they regulate entrance. I absolutely would come back.

The bar area, tables surrounding it and another little closed off section.

Totally a vibe! A pirate speak easy in the heart of the city of Gasparilla and the Buccaneers? Yes. We sampled almost all of the food, we got 4 things there are 5 options ( Wings, Brussels Sprouts , Shrimp , Seared Tuna) we did not try the dates. The shrimp was delicious, a little on the spicy side if you're sensitive but I loved it. Brussels sprouts were also phenomenal! I had the Espresso Old Fashioned ( my drink of choice) and it was very well balanced. Service was slowish, but it's an intimate setting and it seems the bartender was also having to come to our table so understandable.

Such a cute "speak easy". The drink were delicious and we also tried the goat cheese stuffed figs. The male bartender we had was really patient and helpful.

Cool vibe. Delicious, beautiful drinks. Firecracker shrimp were dynamite, some of the best I've had. Even the cabbage slaw that came with it was great.

I went to Morgan's Cove on an early Saturday evening with a friend for the first time. We were surprised that it wasn't packed. We were able to grab the last table but no one was standing in order to eat or drink. We both had cocktails and shared a shrimp appetizer. The cocktails were a little pricey and a little on the strong side but good. The shrimp was also very good!

Really liked this place. We've tried to get in before & couldn't. This time we put our name on a wait list & went next door to Yeoman's for a drink. Jaime was working the door. Bree was our server & she was excellent. Drinks were great & atmosphere was wonderful. Very cool vibe. My DIL said food is good too. Well worth the wait.

Speakeasy pirate bar that goes so hard your head will spin. You walk in and are immediately transported to exactly where you're gonna want to be. It's phenomenal. The bartenders are top notch ( and don't worry they don't dress like pirates or try to put on a pirate show) this place is classy believe it or not. Each drink is made with care and flair... and booze. The food was delicious. Got the fish and chips from next door to go because we "had too much" of a good time, and needed fries. Loved it.

Our favorite place for cocktails in Tampa. In this beautifully unique and superbly-themed speakeasy, the service and quality of everything we've ever had has always been top-notch. Definitely a must visit spot when in town.

The Zombie - Yes, it is as strong as they say it is
    Megan M.

My first time in, and I can confidently say this is my favorite bar in Tampa. We came in at 6pm on a Saturday. They don't take reservations, so we were hoping that they had space. The door is unmarked, like a true speakeasy (look for the red light). The hosts led us into the bar through a bookcase on the wall. There were a few tables available as well as many seats at the bar. The interior decor was whimsical and very inline with the pirate theme. Service was prompt. We wound up staying for a couple hours and had a few rounds of drinks, all of which were fantastic and very reasonably priced. The Zombie really is as strong as the menu says it is. The Pandan Killer had a delightful Pandan flavored foam that we both really enjoyed. They did have a small snack menu, but we didn't try any this time. Needless to say, we will be back soon!

    Dennis S.

Amazing drinks, fantastic service and even better atmosphere. Highly recommend for your pregame drink spot. This place has it a for your early night drink spot highly recommend the pandan drink and zombie to kick your night off. You wont be disappointed!

Sidecar, Saturn, and a Hurricane. Great drinks.
    Deborah D.

Great drinks the hurricane was strong. They did not skimp on the alcohol. Amazing atmosphere windows from the movie Pirates of the Caribbean Service was on point too.

You can come and enjoy a nice drink without getting alcohol. We also ordered a burger from their limited food menu. It was very good. Not in competition for best burger in Orlando or anything, but the flavors were on point, and bun was nice and soft, and the furikake dusted crinkle cut fries were the perfect side item. If you're driving, pay close attention because there's no sign on the main road. Additionally there is a small foliage-covered pathway leading to the restaurant that makes you feel like you're going on an adventure. Once you arrive, though, it's absolutely worth it. There's plenty of seating, including a beautiful area by the pier right on the water. The scenery alone makes for a great experience. My table ordered from the happy hour menu: conch fritters, fish dip, fried shrimp, fried grouper, and two Key Lime Coladas. The total came to around $58, which felt very reasonable for the quality and portions. The standout for me was definitely the fish dip, but honestly, everything was fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly, attentive, and provided service with a smile throughout the visit. I'll definitely be back!

The worst thing is that we all got eaten up by the mosquitos. We didn't even noticed them until we got our food. Didn't order a drink, but the bar looked pretty stocked. The two not so favorite dishes for me were the fried rice topped with fried chicken. While chicken was very tasty the rice was extremely basic. Could have used eggs or other ingredients to elevate this dish. Also the Volcano roll was extremely disappointing. Normally the volcano topping is cooked or (torched) and this topping was cold and very unappetizing. Would not recommend this roll. Overall this place is a hit or miss. We absolutely loved going to Ciro's when they were still opened and enjoying their fresh out of the oven chocolate chip cookies amongst many other things. We saw that Jekyll offered "Ciro's Chocolate Chip Cookies" and we were so excited to one, try Jekyll, and two, gobble up some made to order cookies. So, we arrived a few minutes before our 7pm reservation, but were left standing at the entrance as other parties were shuttled right in. In fact, 10 minutes later, we were still standing there. After almost 15 minutes, we were finally escorted into the speakeasy. This was the first sign of how the evening was going to go and, honestly, we should've left after five minutes of waiting. Once seated, we were warmly greeted by Otis, who took our order for the cookies and spiked milk. When the runner brought the cookies they were neither fresh from the oven, nor warm (or gooey) like real Ciro's cookies were. Instead, they were cold, hard and broke like peanut brittle. I spoke to Otis, who immediately addressed the matter and put in another order of cookies. The second order was delivered by the manager, who claimed that he stood and watched the entire process. This was difficult for us to believe because the second batch cookies were even worse than the first batch. So, we called Otis back over, told him we were leaving and thanked him for his superior service. At this same time, a bar tender, who overheard all of this, stopped by with two complementary beverages. The drinks were the highlight of the visit along with the severs graciousness and professionalism. Jekyll appears to be a very nice place.
