Pomodoro is still my go to spot for pizza in the area. Came in for lunch, just got two slices and a drink special. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday afternoon and the owner is always so sweet and greets everyone who walks in. The slices were ready in probably five minutes or less. I got one cheese and one buffalo chicken which if you haven't tried it yet it's one of the best slices I've ever had! read more

Still the best pizza place hands down, service & staff are great. My favorite place to go when in town. We ordered from here because so many people on neighborhood sites claimed it as the best. We ordered a large pizza, calamari, and tiramisu. The pizza had the toppings mostly in the middle, so the slices were sloppy and soggy. Way onion forward. We removed some toppings from middle and reheated a bit and it was OK. The calamari was over cooked, over breaded, zero flavor. We threw it out. The tiramisu looked like the bottom had been chewed on. It was frozen in the middle. I imagine if it was fresh it would be tasty. We won't order again. Super disappointed. read more

This place is soo good, I drive from Lakeland just for the phenomenal pizza. Toppings are fantastic, I get 7 in total. LOVE the fresh garlic!! I wish I could go more often. One of these days, I'm going to try a sub or baked dish, but it's so hard not to get their pizza!! Nothing in Lakeland or Brandon is even close! Thanks guys!!! Keep up the awesome pizza crafting!! read more

Funny story.... We went here like 15 years ago for the first time. And never went back.... No idea why not. Maybe the location, wasn't on our mind, who knows. But we went the other day for lunch. OMG!!! I had the lasagna, wife eggplant parm, daughter chicken parm. We started with the calamari. Needless to say, after the salads, garlic knots and fresh bread, who had room for the main course. We all ate some, and it was amazing. Both parms came with a large serving of spaghetti as well! So, we all had lunch leftovers the next day! And just as good as the first time! The food was delicious, the best Italian I have ever eaten in this area! Tonight we will try the pizza! I am so glad we rediscovered them, and we will now make it our go to for Italian. Also, the owner (I am pretty sure he was the owner!) was there and he was very nice, although they were slammed, he still had the time to greet each customer! And the staff was very nice, brought our food out and was very accommodating. Keep in mind this is not a traditional "sit down and order" You order at the counter, have a seat and they bring it to you. Seems more efficient! All in all, a great experience with awesome food! read more

The Sicilian pizza here is amazing. The Alfredo is amazing. The spaghetti is amazing. The food here is genuine Italian, and it is decently priced. The fettuccine noodles taste homemade and soft. The pizza is crispy. I've been going here for years, and it is my go to place for anything italian related. read more

We've ordered from here on multiple occasions. The pizza is done really nicely, but definitely pick up your order if you want take out because we had a bad delivery experience. read more

As always, the service was fantastic and it matched the meal, which was wonderful. This time I got the chicken Pomodoro and I got linguine Alfredo. It was simply outstanding. Don't forget the limoncello cake! read more

I looooove this place!!! The pizza is so delicious, and it is a joy to me every time I go there to see the owner putting so much love and joy into making the pizza's. He's also exceptionally good with the customers, and so is the staff. It's clear to me that they want everyone who enters Pomodoro Pizza to have a wonderful experience. Although I live several hours away now, when I came in town for a celebration with family, Pomodoro Pizza is what I wanted for my family and I to eat, and I'm so glad I chose them. As always, it was a truly wonderful experience, and everybody really enjoyed it. Those are some awesome people at Pomodoro, and so is their pizza. even their salad is amazing and the dressing as well. read more

Ordered by phone. Still had to wait 20 minutes when I got there. Worker coughed into basket order. Machine to give tip given to me first thing. Girl sweeping in the kitchen while food being made and slices of pizza, for sale, on display. Menu showed Cheesecake with topping. Ordered it...no topping. I think the main guy is pretty arrogant. It's a game they play, in my opinion. They think their food is so good, ppl will put up with anything. Not me. But you guys go ahead and eat dirt and coughed on food. Not me. read more

My favorite pizza joint in Brandon by far! This pizza rivals the pizza you find in NYC and quite honestly beats many of them! Take advantage of their carry out specials or Tuesday $10 pizza special and you will not be disappointed. Pro tip, don't forget extra cheese! read more

Fresh bright flavors! Chicken Piccata - Bright, fresh lemon butter flavor sauce with capers, served with two flattened, lightly breaded chicken breasts over a bed of tasty not mushy linguine. with Buttered Italian bread 1/2 loaf, sliced in foil. with Salad; Cold, crisp torn lettuce (not wilted), tomato slices & onion. Italian dressing tastes homemade. Grandma's pizza - rectangular large 10+ 3"x4" slices. Can customize. Busy! Thriving local business & neighborhood takeout. About ten tables with 4 chairs each. read more

My friend and I went here yesterday and we're absolutely blown away by the quality of the pizza. All of the toppings were so fresh even the sauce tasted like real tomatoes, and the service was next level. Definitely recommend this place and will be going again! read more

I'm a pizza snob from NY and this is the BEST pizza anywhere in the Tampa area! I like thin crust, great sauce and premium mozzarella!

Pomodoro Pizza & More is a great little place. The staff is happy to see you, and the prices are more than fair. I stopped in here for a quick lunch and ordered a Sausage, Peppers and Onion sandwich. It was tasty! The roll was fresh (more than likely made in house) and the sausage, peppers and onions were delicious. The sauce was clearly made from scratch and had a sweet/slightly salty flavor to it. I do intend to return and have a more substantial meal in the future! read more

The sub rolls are made with fresh dough and the sauce is simple fresh and authentic . I love the cheeze Pies and the chicken parm Sun is my personal favorite. Their italian subs are also very generous with cold cuts and the ingredients are good quality. This is the spot . read more

Order the plain cheese pizza. It's perfect! We also ordered penne puttanesca (yummy), eggplant parm, chicken francese and chicken broccoli & spinach (hubby loved). Thank you for the great meal! read more

Keep to pizza, your attempts at spaghetti and penne was so bad both had to thrown away. The sauce basically a clotted, crusted lump on top of the pasta and dried meat, a builder could have used it for laying tiles. So yes it was easy to order but never again. read more

Delicious food always. Can take a little extra time wise but I think they have outgrown their building for the business they are bringing in. Enjoy! read more

I've lived in Florida for 6 years. Being from up north it's hard to find good pizza place. Another business I had went to recommend this place and I am so glad I came. What I ordered: Cheese pizza : -Pros: dough is good quality in the time to rise and yeast combo. -Cons: The sauce tastes like from the can brand (watery and taste like tomato paste) -The cheese & toppings were spot on. Calamari-skip, bad breading, bad oil, and old squid. Garlic knots: I had a split of a bit on the hard side and a bit on the fresh and chewy side. Salad: I appreciate that the onions are thinly sliced, the tomatoes are not cut too big. Ranch dressing could use an upgrade and the price was fresh and crisp. Shrimp Alfredo: Al dente, too much cream, bit much cheese, no salt on the pasta and the sauce, but I didn't want to waste a good Alfredo aldente consistency so I cared to put salt; I also like to put a bit of a garlic powder (MCormick). And I kept my mood happy. read more

Pomodoro Pizza & More is the best in Brandon! I haven't been disappointed in a single item I've ordered! The staff is always friendly and quick to remember a familiar face! I do believe that they need a bigger restaurant and sometimes you go in and the whole front area is crowded and there's no more tables. But I believe that is a testimony to how good they are! So if you're looking for some good pizza, or pasta dishes THIS is your place! read more

If I could give the 10 stars I'd still be complaining that I couldn't give them FIFTEEN! I grew up in Jersey and while a lot of pizza places claim to be "New York" style not only does Pomodoro's claim to be "Jersey" style (yes there's a difference) they deliver on it! If you live in Valrico or Brandon and this isn't your go to pizza spot, you must not know it's there. Hands down one of the best pies I've had since I left Jersey. We also had the garlic knots, little garlic pillows from heaven, and the sauce was amazing too. I only wish I'd have known about this place sooner. I will definitely be going back for more. We got the Sicilian with extra cheese 15/10 and the garlic knots 10/10. I can't wait to try rhe subs. Grazie mille paesan! read more

I'm going to keep it simple. The pizza is good but you'll be waiting a very long time. At the minimum an hour every time you order. Don't be surprised after waiting an hour then having to wait even longer once you get there to pick up. read more

Honestly the best pizza in our area. I wish the crust would stay crispy but the dough is flavorful.

Hubs and I stopped in over the weekend to try a slice. It was SOOOO good that we ordered for delivery tonight! We had a hand tossed pepperoni and meatball, garlic cheese bread and the creamy fettuccine bolognese. Oh. My. God! First off, the best NY pie in Brandon, hands down! The sauce is just amazing! They serve it with the bread as well and it is heavenly! The creamy bolognese was just ridiculous! So good, I could NOT stop eating it. The homemade bread that they used for the garlic cheese bread? *chef's kiss* And did I mention the sauce that they give you for the bread? Homemade ranch dressing for the salad too! Just GTFO with how good this place is. Just a little, unassuming hole in the wall with the best damn food in Brandon! read more

Would give 0 stars if it would let me. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves, this is how our pizza arrived - inedible. Smashed into the corner of the box and all the cheese and pepperoni stuck to the top of the box. Completely unacceptable and customer service was non existent. Tried ordering a re-delivery and they rejected it. Never ordering from here again. read more

I'm from Jersey and live in CA so it's a struggle to find good pizza. I was in Valrico visiting family and decided to get my fix from Pomodoro. I ordered on Yelp (a third party called delivery.com) and as soon as I paid, it said it would be 1-2 hours til my order was ready for pick up!! I just got a large pepperoni so I called right away in a panic and I assume the owner answered - he looked into it right away and said he would give me a call back. It was 7pm so I knew they were busy, but he called me back within 10 min and let me know my order was next and would be ready within 5 min. When we got there, I gave him my name and he greeted me like we knew each other forever. We took it to go but even the dining space was what I miss from Jersey, the perfect Italian kitchen with a homey vibe. I didn't even get to how damn good the pizza is yet.... My gosh it was perfect! Let's just say I will be ordering from Pomodoro every time I come back to visit. read more
