It's been several years since our last visit, but it's still a good pizza! With a walk up window, the ambiance is what you bring lol. Service was quick and easy but I strongly suggest not ordering online or thru the "order" option in Yelp, as the pizza price showed $35 instead of over the phone ordering at $25 for the same exact pizza/size. What we appreciated from this pizza was its nice overall crust, good sized/not too thick dough presence, and quality of the sauce / toppings. We got the Buc Slammer XL for $25. What we found is that the sauce was awesome, though a tad on the light side. Wish they would have put more as it's so flavorful with a little bit of kick to really come through. The sausage topping was delicious, and they did keep to their word with the extra cheese on this pizza. I do think since it had extra cheese and was so thick, it could have baked a couple more minutes to completely melt down but it was still pretty good. While the pepperoni and ham didn't shine at all, overall the pizza was elevated and had a 'real' pizza presence. So many times we've gotten pizza at different places only for it to flop or lack. This one didn't, pretty good presence. It was oily, but that's always the case with any meat pizza that have oily meats... goes with the territory and gets the napkin dab like any other meaty pizza. We are giving this a 4.6 stars, and wish we could have given it a full 5 stars but 2 of the toppings were so plain it hardly came through. So to answer the magic question, yes we'll be coming back to try another pizza variation... and maybe a couple of their other Italian menu offerings. We used to love this place, but the last few times we ordered pizza from here things have just degraded. We ordered online at 4:45pm for a 5:30pm pickup. We received a confirmation email and headed there slightly early so we could take the pizza home hot. We showed up at the pickup window and the very nice employee behind the counter had no idea we even ordered. He tried to make our pizza quickly but the pizza's were not cooked all the way. One was so undercooked everything slid off of it while riding in the back seat of the car on the way home. We picked it up carefully supporting the bottom of the box, but it was so soggy my husband's finger went through the box! I actually had to put the pizzas into the oven to cook the rest of the way after we got home. Some of the all meat pizza we ordered had undercooked / pink meat on the top of it. Unfortunately that was probably our last order. If the business owner reads this: Please cook your pizzas all the way before giving them to your customers. read more

This pizza isn't winning any awards, but it's also not getting voted off the island. The best thing about it? It's huge--so if quantity over quality is your vibe, you're in luck. Flavor-wise, it was just kinda... there. The sauce was lounging on top like it had nowhere else to be. The pizza was just so.....soggy and I kept hoping for that old-school NY magic from years ago--but alas, nostalgia wasn't on the menu. It's no longer owned by the same guy. We ordered our Pizzas by phone. When we arrived, there is a pick up window outside where you pick up your food. There are a few tables outside of you wish to consume your Pizza there. They have a two slice special in case you are not that hungry or want a quick lunch to take out Pizza was very good. Got the lunch special - 2 slices of cheese and a can of soda or bottle of water. Slices are big and it's a great value for the amount of food you get. Flavor is solid for a "ny slice". Cheese has that expected tang and good cheese grease and pull. Served piping hot although not fresh made it was still good. My main complaint is that it had burnt semolina all over it which really took away from the taste and it was super floppy. You walk up to the half door to order. I ordered one of their larger combos that comes with two extra large pizzas, 10 wings, and eight cans of ginger ale... I ordered the pizza and the pizzas OK... The pizza itself is pretty good with all the toppings cheese and sauce... However, the crust is OK... I prefer crust that are a little bit more on the chewy side... The crust is a little bit on the dry side. I ordered garlic Parmesan wings... The flavor was great! However, it definitely needs to be crispy... I received soggy wings... However, this place isn't that big of a disappointment if you only order the pizza. I got a large pepperoni with wings and a soda and the damn wings and sauce kinda sucked @SS. The wings were for sure frozen wings hat you put in the over type deal and not fried; they were soggy, unevenly cooked and the sauce came in a little bag and they sucked. Probably some of the worst pizza and wings I've ever had in my life. The bbq chicken pizza had so much bbq sauce you had to wipe it off and is made with frozen, breaded chicken tenders that are as hard as a rock and freezer burned. The dominator pizza was better however that's not saying much. They made the pizza and threw raw tomatoes on top. The wings have so much fat they are inedible and have a horrible odor to them and hoping we don't get sick from them!! For all the rave reviews either we ordered ALL the wrong things or people don't know good food. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED and will not be back. Much better pizza places in the Brandon area. I always refer to Pizza Haven as Brandon's hidden gem. And I literally mean hidden gem besince it's tucked away behind the Walgreens on the corner of Parsons and Highway 60. It's at the far end of the strip center adjacent to the parking lot of Walgreens, where Subway is located. This pizzeria seems to head been built to handle social distancing. right now the inside counter and few tables are closed you pick up your pizza order from the outside window. They have very clear signage for social distancing and marked off X's on the sidewalk to assist in safe waiting. And now to the important stuff the quality of their pizza is bar none! I've been calling in my pizza order @ Pizza Haven for years. My order is always ready when they quote me a time. My family loves the Gator Special, consisting of two large pizzas with one topping - we get a cheese and pepperoni, garlic knots or chicken wings and a 2 liter of soda. We ALWAYS order the knots! Those garlic knots are literally the best garlic knots we've had since we moved to the area 15 years ago!! Do not order pizza from Pizza Haven without adding garlic knots you will knot regret it... This is my go to place during my lunch break. Best Pizza in the area, even if you have to do the drive it is worth it! At one point I lived in Tampa and made the drive out here to Brandon just to get Pizza haven. LUMCH SPECIAL: 2 NY style pizza slices and a drink for $5.55 Their chicken parmesean is good. The crust is thin and crispy, just the way I like it! One slice is a very large portion so it's like eating 2 slices. Served hot, fresh and made to order. Garlic knots are the best item on the menu! To die for!! They will take longer than your pizza but well worth the wait. They prepare them to order, nothing waiting in the fridge or freezer. I moved to Brandon from Long Island in 1989 and of course had to find a good pizza place; which was not easy here in Florida. Little did I know the little place nearest to me would turn out to be a "taste of home" for this New Yorker! I have since tried other places when Pizza Haven is closed but none compares. Crust is thin but not hard, toppings & cheese are always generous. Stromboli is wonderful and calzone is also great not like some with thick crusts. I need to try their hand held meat pies.
