We have been coming here for quite a while now. We would always get the white pizza. Which is very very very good. Tonight we switched it up and got an 8 inch white thin crust, and an 8 inch cheese pie with New York crust. Cheese pie was excellent. Both pies had a nice crispy crust. It's been a few months since I had pizza and wanted to try Pizzaissmo again. I was not disappointed! Carry out this time. Just olives and onions. Loved that I was asked red or white was onions! Came a little earlier as it was in the oven when I arrived. Upon bring it home, everything was amazing! The smell, texture, sauce and toppings! Love a good pizza! Having grown up on Jersey shore/NY pizza, I don't gravitate toward the large pizza chains. I want high quality pizza, and this is it. I approached the restaurant and saw that they have a lunch special for $7.75. That's a deal. Personal pizza, one topping, and a drink. Can't beat that at all. I, however, got a personal pizza but got 4 toppings. Grilled chicken, pineapple, jalapeños, and bacon. After I ordered, it took about 8 minutes for it to be ready. I dined in, they bring it to you. Two men were working. Very nice men and helpful. It was a quiet restaurant and very pleasant. This will definitely be my go to pizza place for here on out. read more

Found this slice of deliciousness when my boyfriend and I were debating on who has the best pizza in Brandon, Florida. We were both craving a thin crust, well done, simple pepperoni, cheese & jalapeño pizza. Portnoy's reviews sparked our debate & this is why we found this great place. We have ordered from Pizzaissimo twice and the second time I ordered on-line. It was refreshing to see a well done or crispy option. It's always pleasant to taste a char on the bottom of your crust that isn't the taste of burnt bread. Two guys were working the typical pizza joint and they were both friendly. The young man working the counter was kind and honest when I asked several questions about recommendations. The location seemed to be doing a great deal of phone and on-line orders. They have several tables, but have only seen a couple people in the restaurant the two times we've picked up our order. This would be the perfect place to grab dinner after any sports event or lunch with some friends. Parking is not a concern, it's located in a strip plaza that shares spaces with Publix. Individual size is actually an 11 inch pie, not like those cute personal pan pizzas that Pizza Hut used to serve. Fairly decent tasting, but I wasn't blown away. Right off the bat they don't have wings which is a bummer for a pizza joint, especially one that offers dine in. They don't have fountain drinks, just a cooler, which is fine to me because I usually get water. They also advertise brick oven, but there's no brick oven. On the bright side, the pizza was fantastic. The sauce was amazing, the cheese was perfectly layered and the pepperoni had great flavor and was not too greasy. I would definitely order their pizza again. Maybe not dine in, but on that note, the dining experience was great and service was great. The pizza is good, no doubt about it. However, I dined in this afternoon and an older guy that was working felt compelled to talk about someone that had a lazy eye, and called them retarded. I'm shocked that a pizza maker in his 40s or 50s would feel compelled to make fun of a medical condition. Especially in front of customers.. I myself have a lazy eye. Needless to say I won't be back. My daughter ordered a personal cheese and she was extremely happy. I ordered a specialty pizza with caramelized onions and hot honey. It definitely exceeded my expectations. I placed the order and ran next door to pick up some groceries and by the time I got back my order was ready and they even brought it to my table since they seen my hands full. Not a large menu like pastas and salads but if you looking for no frills pizza with great taste I would definitely pay them a visit.
