It's a "pizza" place not a go to Italian restaurant. Simple decor some tables and small cooler with some soda and water. Their lunch special is a bargain with an 8 inch pizza with one topping and a drink. The pizza was done great with thin crust and ample toppings. If you're looking for first date ambience this ain't it but good pizza this is the place.

It's been a few months since I had pizza and wanted to try Pizzaissmo again. I was not disappointed! Carry out this time. Just olives and onions. Loved that I was asked red or white was onions! Came a little earlier as it was in the oven when I arrived. Upon bring it home, everything was amazing! The smell, texture, sauce and toppings! Love a good pizza! You cannot beat a great pizza at this cost. Wonderful job guys, AGAIN!

This is a very unassuming little pizza shop in a Publix shopping center. But don't be fooled, the pizza is LEGIT. Having grown up on Jersey shore/NY pizza, I don't gravitate toward the large pizza chains. I want high quality pizza, and this is it. The best pizza I've had in Brandon, a definitely a favorite in the broader Tampa Bay area. Highly recommend trying them out!

I randomly had a taste for pizza and this was the first place that popped up. It's about 8 minutes away from where I live so I said why not? I approached the restaurant and saw that they have a lunch special for $7.75. That's a deal. Personal pizza, one topping, and a drink. Can't beat that at all. I, however, got a personal pizza but got 4 toppings. Grilled chicken, pineapple, jalapeños, and bacon. After I ordered, it took about 8 minutes for it to be ready. I dined in, they bring it to you. Two men were working. Very nice men and helpful. It was a quiet restaurant and very pleasant. This will definitely be my go to pizza place for here on out.

I went off the beaten path and tried the hot n Honey pizza. The combination of the jalapeños and honey was a combination that is surprisingly good and is one of the most unique pizzas I have ever had. I absolutely loved it. Once again the consistency of the crust was amazing. Top notch. I think I am going to be a regular.

Super excited to try a new pizza place over here in Brandon!! I walked up to the Publix and I looked over and I saw Pizzaissimo and knew I had to try something! I ordered a individual pepperoni pizza with ricotta online while I did my shopping. I asked for it to be done which they definitely succeeded and the undercarriage of this pizza is so crispy and delicious. it is definitely a quick little spot you can sit at and enjoy some pizza

We recently moved here from Hawaii, but are Boston natives. While we lived on the island, we never once found some authentic New York style pizza. We were also told that we would have a problem in Florida. I am pleased to say that we have now found our new pizza spot and will be regular customers the hot Honey pizza was superb as well as my husband's white pizza, the ingredients were fresh and the crust was delectable. We also ordered those garlic knots that were beyond good. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

Thank you Yelp! My Yelp app suggested this new pizza place, Pizzaissimo. Had great reviews, was 7 minutes from where we were shopping, seemed like a sign. We went around 3:30 in the afternoon. Was surprised to see quite a number of patrons. That was a good sign. Ordered the Spinach Artichoke and the everything pizza. Here is what you must know about Pizzaissmo, everything is fresh and many things are made in house. Sauces, yep, fresh made in house. Dough, of course. Sausage, bet you didn't expect that, but yes, they make their own sausage. I don't know if they make the fresh mozzarella, but they use fresh mozzarella on the Spinach Artichoke pizza, and they put a generous dollop on it. Staff was extremely friendly, like everyone is a part of the family. Is this fancy, nope, just really good. Location is great, plenty of parking and easy to get to. Here is where they got me, they slice their mushrooms fresh everyday. NO CANNED MUSHROOMS! They would have been my favorite pizza place just for that, but there is so much more. When they tell you most great places prosper from word of mouth this is one of those places. I came because of the reviews compared to restaurants like New York New York and I'm staying loyal because it reminds me of home in Philly. Pure ingredients, the right prices, and a true family atmosphere. You're not a number in this place, you're family and I love it. I don't typically give 5 star reviews but I'd give Puzzaissimo 4.5 stars if I could. I tried the white pizza, and although I would have liked just a touch more garlic, it was loaded with cheese and the crust was crispy and delicious. I'll be back. read more

Being from the San Francisco bay area. I just can't find a great pizza place in Florida. So I make my own pizzas usually. Pizzaissimo is better than average in Florida, but it just doesn't blow you away like Toto's in San Bruno, CA or Zorba's in Millbrae, CA. Good pizza. Not bad at all. Just not great. I think the pizza sauce needs a little zing to it. When I make pizza sauce I add fresh garlic, red chili flakes, oregano, tyme, tomato paste and some sugar to kill the acidity from the tomatoes. I think Pizzaissimo crust is pretty good New York style crust. Probably a 9 out of 10. Toppings are decent. The pizza just doesn't have that wow factor, though. Then again I make my own pizzas so 99% of pizzas I try I try fall short. Pizzaissimo gets a 7 out of 10 from me. To people who are from Florida it's probably a 9 or 10. I never leave reviews but this deserves one. We moved here from New York last week and we were having the hardest time not having the famous New York pizza. We found this place and decided to try a personal pie. This place did not dissapoint. The dough was light and crispy, the sauce was amazing, and the cheese was great. Plus it was ready in 10 minutes! We will definitely be making the 30 minute drive to have this as our pizza place! read more

So I stop in this plaza to get Chinese food at Lin's Garden but they were closed cuz it was a Monday. So I perused the menu here and I like red sauce while my significant other likes white. Moving from NY to FL, finding good local pizza was of the utmost important. Well, I think we found it! Pizzaissmo is delicious, fresh pizza. We got a regular cheese pie and it was ready in 20 minutes and so delicious. The man who helped us was super nice, and brought it out to us. I'm looking forward to the next visit! read more

Excellent pizza, fresh toppings and delicious crust. If you have ever been in the Northeastern US you would understand that that is high praise indeed! The owner is very nice, I wish that I had asked his name, he says he makes almost everything from scratch and it shows. If you are near Lake Brandon Plaza anytime you want pizza go there! read more

Placed a to go order, went to pick up my order & was told "I didn't make your order because last time you placed one you never picked it up". So if you ever have REAL LIFE happen where you can't pick up a pizza, just understand next time you place an order they WILL accept it over the phone however they will NOT fulfill your order, so you'd be wasting your time showing up. I'm not even upset because I understand how bad one must be struggling if the waste of ingredients for ONE SMALL CHEESE PIZZA, will set you back on profit for future orders. I didn't love the pizza here but it wasn't bad. I like that you can basically make your own personal pan pizza. They have lots of options for toppings which is great and again the pizza was good just not great. Now the staff was SUPER friendly and very helpful. They gave my 2 year old nephew toys and free cookies. I will go back and definitely think this place deserves a try if you haven't tried them yet. read more

It had great flavor but was soggy in the middle. Which is a shame because their crust is really good. My BF got the gluten free pizza and he said it was terrible. I meant to get a picture but didn't get a chance before he grabbed a slice. We likely won't be back because the GF pizza is so bad. It's unfortunate because their regular pizza is really good. Service was great and it wasn't too busy. They have TVs with sports playing on all sides, but it is very cold in there!

We were a trio of old-time Brandon residents, back to visit friends and relatives. Naturally, first thing we wanted to check out was some food! Well, after we got caught up on the gossip and all. All three of us were doing the online food finder thing. My buddy mentioned he saw Babe's still had their sign up. WHAT????? No way, man. They closed a while back. Supposed to have some kind of diner or something going into that building. That's when, through the magic of the internet, we found the listing for Babe's. It mentioned nothing about being closed. In fact, it listed the hours of service. Hmmmmmmm, we were thinking. Then, we started reading the reviews. The most RECENT reviews. Never mind some of the old ones. That is no longer relevant history. Best pizza, one guy says. It's just like it always was, says another. NOTHING has changed. Well, THAT was good enough for some long-time Babe's patrons. We jumped in the car and headed out. NO NEED for GPS. WE knew the way. The place was pretty busy. Dine in AND a LOT of takeout orders. The owner, Nick, immediately welcomed us and truly made us feel welcome. Over the course of our meal, he and a few other staff stopped by to ensure all of our double decker needs were being met! We were VERY impressed with the high level of care and service. Even better when my 'side' salad arrived. It was HUGE. We all shared it and we dang near got full on just that. And then, the moment of truth appeared.... This super nice young lady was walking towards us, with a VERY familiar sight. The arousing aroma hit us before she even got to our table. When she parked that sizzling double decker Babe's Special down on our table, we WERE transported back in time. To the last time we dined at Babe's. AND, to the FIRST time we ever dined at Babe's! NOT one thing about anything has changed. Double YUMMMMMMMM! Thank you, Nick and the Babe's gang! Welcome home....
