Babe's has been RE-BORN! Same great place. Same great taste! And YES! The little train is still running!! Choo! Choo! as we Chew, Chew! We were a trio of old-time Brandon residents, back to visit friends and relatives. Naturally, first thing we wanted to check out was some food! Well, after we got caught up on the gossip and all. All three of us were doing the online food finder thing. My buddy mentioned he saw Babe's still had their sign up. WHAT????? No way, man. They closed a while back. Supposed to have some kind of diner or something going into that building. That's when, through the magic of the internet, we found the listing for Babe's. It mentioned nothing about being closed. In fact, it listed the hours of service. Hmmmmmmm, we were thinking. Then, we started reading the reviews. The most RECENT reviews. Never mind some of the old ones. That is no longer relevant history. Best pizza, one guy says. It's just like it always was, says another. NOTHING has changed. Well, THAT was good enough for some long-time Babe's patrons. We jumped in the car and headed out. NO NEED for GPS. WE knew the way. The place was pretty busy. Dine in AND a LOT of takeout orders. The owner, Nick, immediately welcomed us and truly made us feel welcome. Over the course of our meal, he and a few other staff stopped by to ensure all of our double decker needs were being met! We were VERY impressed with the high level of care and service. Even better when my 'side' salad arrived. It was HUGE. We all shared it and we dang near got full on just that. And then, the moment of truth appeared.... This super nice young lady was walking towards us, with a VERY familiar sight. The arousing aroma hit us before she even got to our table. When she parked that sizzling double decker Babe's Special down on our table, we WERE transported back in time. To the last time we dined at Babe's. AND, to the FIRST time we ever dined at Babe's! Amazing! I've lived in Brandon my whole life and finally decided to try this local restaurant. It's amazing it's still around. We got the double decker, regular pizza, cheese bread, and salad. The crust on the double decker needed to be cooked longer, it was white and had flour all over it. The salad and everything else was just meh. Oh, and they will give you an extremely dirty look if you don't leave a tip on a pickup order. Highly don't recommend this place. If you want to overspend on mediocre food and get terrible service, this is the place to go! read more

I'd say 4.5 stars if I could. I've driven by this place for years, and finally decided to try it. The interior is inviting, clean, and well cared for. We ordered a chef's starter salad to share. The lettuce and vegetables were fresh and cold, and the dressing was great. I ordered the single layer Babe's special and swapped out one item - no problem - a fee for this - but it's clear on the menu. We were the only people in the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon, but several people did come in for pick-up. It has always looked vacant to me, but this is because parking is in back, and the front spaces are for pick-up orders. I would definitely go back. ONE issue that they do need to address: the women's restroom. It was clean and operable, but didn't have a vent fan, and didn't seem to be under air-conditioning. Perhaps their best business is take-out / delivery. If you dine in, it's good to know about the bathroom. If not for this issue, I would give it a heartfelt 5 stars. read more

Y'all know how I feel about pizza. I almost always love it, but sometimes I find an exceptionally delicious pie. Babe's double layer pizza is one of those experiences. In that part of the county for an oil change at my dealership, I was thinking I'd bring home something for dinner that's not in our area of Town & Country. NGL, Portillo's crossed my mind first, but then I thought of Babe's and realized we hadn't had their pizza in years. Babe's had just opened for the day so I called ahead as I was leaving my dealership to place my order for a Medium 12" Meat Lover's Double Decker Pizza. Traffic was oddly swift for late afternoon, so I arrived quickly & knew I'd have a bit of a wait. I enjoyed a beer while I waited though it wasn't a long wait. And that pie was outstanding, even after my drive home. It was even more delicious than I remembered. And I'm definitely thinking about another pizza the next time I'm in Brandon for an oil change. read more

My wife and I visited Babes for the first time on a Friday evening. Parking is tight and limited but at 5pm, this place was quiet. We got seated and looked over the menu. The staff was friendly and came over to get us started. We sat in a corner booth. Babes has been around for a while and the building shows some character. We started with a Greek salad and ordered their double decker meat pizza. This is the first place I have been that serves your salad upside down. At first, a bit confused but we eventually got the salad into bowls. The creamy Italian dressing served with the Greek salad was good. The salad had fresh meats and cheese and was a solid start. Then out came our massive pizza. We ordered a large. Not sure what to expect. This pizza is hefty to say the least. The good amount of meats and cheese and sauce was tasty and filling. I ate 2 slices at dinner. My wife could only eat 1. We took home a lot of pizza. You should try this place and their unique pizza, but for me, it's a one and done. If we venture back to Babes, the regular pizza will suit us just fine. I'd come back here. read more

The pizza has always been a local favorite in Brandon, and I'm assuming it's under new management. But the pizza is really good despite being on the pricier side, the double decker pizza they offer is really well crafted and a single slice could be enough for most people. The service is okay but it's clear from the time I went that the workers are not the greatest English speakers, but are sufficient workers. The place is wide and open with it being different around the evening when it starts to gain more business i'm sure. Decent pizzeria that I recommend in general if you don't mind the extra expense. read more

Best Pizza in the Bay Area hands down!! They are Amazing with allergies & extremely accommodating. Like any establishment if you have a severe allergy don't go at peak times and expect any business to drop what they are doing, thats just impolite to do as a customer. I have an Onion Allergy. Yeah it's a real thing. and sucks as an Italian to be allergic to Onions but they have been Awesome about it. We have gone several times recently and it's been a great experience each time. We have ordered the double decker and its so good. Both layers of crust are perfectly crispy and its piping hot. If you love melty cheese this is a go-to. They have a signature Thin Style Babe's Pizza dough that's light and crispy & If you like NY Style Pizza They have that too. Be Sure to Let them know what style crust you're looking for. This was my first time here and it was wonderful! The staff are so friendly and greet you as soon as you walk in! They are very attentive and offered us refills rather quickly. The food was so so yummy! We got the garlic bread and double decker pizza! So good. The cheese and crust is delicious. They have a unique dinning room with a train traveling through its track above. This place has been around since 1978. You don't stay in business that long unless you have a good thing going. The place has changed hands but the quality is still there. It's not much to look at from the outside. And it's not much better inside. The place is super casual. The theme of the decor is trains. So you'll see a few train decorations around. Babe's is known for their double decker pizzas. Basically it's a crust on top of a another that's topped in cheese. Then you get the sauce and whatever toppings. I'm partial to their meat lovers, bacon, sausage, ham, and pepperoni. The crust is a bit crispy and the sauce is on point. They have a selection of some decent wines. Their sangria is pretty good too. Now you may think service is a bit slow but just remember that the cooking process for the double decker is a bit longer. I mean you don't want a soggy pizza right? So, check it out sometime. I hope you find this place as good as I like it. read more

A shell of its former self. My family gathered at Babe's for a nostalgic pizza night at a former Brandon staple. We wanted to check it out following the sell and short-lived closure of the restaurant. Well, it checks a lot of the same boxes. The restaurant interior remains intact, the beloved choo-choo train still circles over head of the guests, and the recipes seem to be largely the same, but the execution and attention to detail is lacking. After waiting an extended period of time for the food (yes, I know double deckers take time), the food came out in varying states of quality, very inconsistent. One pie was nearly room temperature, another was so damn doughy you could practically still knead it, and one came out piping, molten-lava mouth scorching hot. Additionally, both Parmesan shakers on our table had clumps of mold in them, as if Babe's was growing a whole new civilization of mediocre pizza lovers. I'm sad to say, after 41 years of personal patronage to Babe's Pizza of Brandon, my Babe-eatin' days are over. The dinner felt like we were mourning the loss of a beloved family member. Godspeed, Babe's. We had a good run....but you gave up, you lost your groove. read more

Food was awesome. Went on Tuesday afternoon for late lunch, 12:30 PM. We had the Greek salad which was fresh. Ordered double decker meat lovers, large. It took us down memory lane when all was perfect in our world. Lots of meats, cheese and goodness. We could only eat one slice each. Soo filling. Leftovers warmed up are great. We were so excited to hear that Babe's has reopened and we ordered our fave Babe's double-decker pizza tonight using Uber eats. TERRIBLE...first of all, we did NOT receive a double-decker. There were two layers of dry, cracker-like crust that were literally white (no browning AT ALL). There were NO toppings between the two dry layers of cracker crust. If doing this is what you plan to offer by reopening, do the public a favor and just close your doors again for good. We feel totally ripped off being charged $50+ for one pizza that ended up in the garbage after one piece. We will make sure that everyone we know is aware that this is NOT the Babes that we all knew and loved. So disappointed. read more

I have to say, it has been a long time since I have been here and it was like stepping back in time! The inside really has not been updated but the incredible double Decker has not changed! New management here and they were very nice and welcoming when we came for our visit. We ordered Cheese Sticks and I am not sure why since the Pizza is a gut buster... haha..they were ok and came out quickly...we ordered two double deckers and again not sure why, one would have been plenty...the Pizza was delicious and still the same taste as long ago when we visited here and it did not disappoint..the Pizza here is very filling, one piece of the double Decker did it! read more

If I lived closer to this place, I would be coming here a lot more often. This place regular single layer pizza and then they also have DOUBLE decker pizza. They are both great pizzas. This last time I came; I ordered a regular single layer meats lover special. It was pretty good. I normally order the double decker and add my own toppings, which is meat, onions and pineapple. I know, I know, now you feel like ordering one as well. I also order the Calzone with the same toppings, and it rocks. The double decker can be a bit overwhelming because it is pretty thick, and it should fill you up pretty fast. The place been around forever, and for a good reason. When you drive there, parking in front is very limited, but they do have additional parking in the back, and entrance to the establishment through the back as well. I recommend getting there early because the place does get full fast. read more

Babe's was highly hyped, but alas, just "meh". My server and the manager were very nice, but the pizza a step above Domino's and the like. The "original style" cost extra and gave me extra toppings. Please show me where that was. The pepperoni wasalmost non-existent. Don't pay the upcharge. It was reasonably tasty, but I was hungry. Probably better choices in the area. First of all, TRY THE TOASTED RAVIOLI! It's fantastic. I'm not a marinara fan, but let me tell you... it's delicious! The next best thing, the service. The servers are amazing. The pizza is quick, and delicious. I usually get the Buffalo chicken pizza. But you can make your own pizza! My partner likes to switch it up every now and then and make his own. One of my favorite features about the restaurant is the small train that outlines the inside of the building. It's all lit up and the little guy even moves all around the track! Also, you can see the pizza's being made. I love watching everyone prepare it! I've got to say, it's greatly priced and just all around awesome food. My partner and I 1000/100 recommend!!!! I ordered pizza at 5 PM for a pick up at 6:15 PM knowing that I could arrive at the shop by that time. They made the pizza at the time of the order instead of at the time of pick up and then stuck it into a hot box. When I got there, it was not fresh out of the oven like I expected upon my arrival at 6:09 PM. It was cold on top and barely warm on the bottom and she said just put it in the oven to warm it up at 100°. I said I ordered the pizza to be ready by 6:15 and she's like well. It's a little cold. I don't mind spending $30 on a pizza if it's bubbling hot and fresh from the oven I do mind spending $30 for a pizza when it's been in a warming box for nearly an hour. I'm heading home now to put in in my own oven and hopefully bring it back to life. This may explain why we haven't eaten here in more than 15 years because of this. read more
