Need to add the Jet Pilot back. The only place to get one is Morgan's Cove in Tampa? You'll have to wait a good two hours to get in. This place is a great spot but turned their menu very touristy. They also took quite a few great things off their food menu like the Gochujang Wings. They added things like the Maine Lobster Roll and we're not in Maine. Place is great just getting touristy. I don't normally do this but our experience was bad from start to finish. We had to wait for someone to even show up to the hostess stand for about 10 minutes (the restaurant was basically empty), the server took 20 minutes to come and take our order and she was NOT friendly. There is loud LOUD traffic noise because of the location of the restaurant. It felt like I was sitting on the main road. It was my sons birthday and we asked the server can put a candle on his dessert and she said yes, but then arrived with the dessert and put it in front of him and forget the candle, and lastly my salad had literal dirt on the lettuce...not a little but A LOT of dirt all over the leaves. As I pushed it aside there was small bug eggs on the lettuce. It was absolutely disgusting. I wont be going back here. read more

We came by to celebrate our daughters birthday. We were seated at a table quickly. Our waitress Victoria was quick to bring our drinks. We started with two appetizers of Mahalo Pork Nachos ($15.50) and Tuna Poke ($15.99). We did not wait too long before they arrived. The Tuna Poke was very good, the pork nachos were ok but hard to eat with the bigger pieced of pulled pork. For dinner we ordered Chicken Tender Platter with the coconut batter and Dock fries ($15.99) Crab Cake Platter with Dock Fries, Island Chop Salad with grilled shrimp ($17.98), Pipeline Shrimp with cheese grits ($23.99) and side order of pork rinds with Tiki Mustard (.50 each). They loved the coconut battered shrimp and crab cakes. The bummer was the crinkle fries, not a fan. The salad was good but the mango and avocado are cut so small you can not taste them. The. pipeline shrimp was also ok not great. We were not fans of the Tiki mustard either. We ended dinner with Lava Cake ($8.50), Banana Bread Ice cream sandwich ($9.50) and Key lime pie ($8.50). The lava cake was to rich for most of us but a few enjoyed it. The banana bread was enjoyed and the key lime pie was good but small for the price. The sun was setting so we had it in our eyes for a bit, wish they had shades to make our dinner a bit more enjoyable. We left a bit earlier than we would have if the sun was not an issue. Overall our dinner was good and Victoria's service was very good. We may be back to try a few different things. read more

Full disclosure. We have been here a few times and I have written poor reviews. The food was less than good and the service was mediocre at best. Today that changed. My wife and I decided to give it another shot. We have t been here in over a year. This place has so much potential. Cool vibe and great Location. And the service from Hannah was top notch. She made sure we got everything we wanted quick and with a smile. I had the mojo pork and my wife had the fried shrimp. Both were excellent. When we spoke to Hannah, we learned they have just changed the menu. Wow, what a great move. Food was fresh and tasted great. We will be back! read more

My husband and I are always looking for great tiki bars and restaurants, so when we were heading to Tampa for the weekend, he found Tiki Docks! I was not expecting it to be as big as it was! Walking up to the restaurant, the artwork and signage is super cool! When you walk to the entrance, there is a waterfall pyramid too! We really enjoyed the drinks we ordered, Painkiller and Zombie (classic tiki drinks!) and we ordered the pork and shrimp tacos (not pictured) and they were really good! We sat the bar outside, and a nice river view! The bartenders were great and attentive! Would definitely come back! read more

It was our first time at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. I start with one of their signature cocktails and it was very tasty. Bery nice flav without being too strong. We shared the auhi tuna appetizer and absolutely loved it. My wife had the shrimp tacos and I had the pork nachos. She loved the tacos and i tho the nachos were very good. There was enough for two meals. The service throughout was excellent. Morgan was very and personable and made the experience that much better. We will definitely be back. read more

We have visited Tiki Docks on a number of occasions. The food is good, especially the fried shrimp and fries basket. The value is also great. Lately, we have been getting the Tiki Trio special which includes a drink, starter, and a number of entree options, including the fried shrimp basket. This was not our first time here. All was very good! Service was friendly and on point. I had made a reservation and asked for a table outside if available and we were seated right away outside. All our food and drinks were delicious. The only complaint- which was minor to us- was my husband's chicken sandwich was described as "hot" and he said it did not have any kick to it and it was a bit messy- had to eat with a fork/knife instead. Food was plentiful as well- took some home for lunch the next day. They have TV's around so if you are looking for a particular sporting event they may have it on in the bar area. Nothing was overpriced. We live close by so when you get good service and food, it makes it very easy to go back, which we will. read more

I've been to this restaurant several times. Unfortunately, our last visit was the worst! We called ahead to get on the wait list for seats. When we arrived about 10 minutes later we were told we now had to wait longer to be seated. We asked how long, the hostess says perhaps 40 minutes to an hour because that's what other patrons were currently on the waitlist for. So we asked what was the point of call ahead seating? The lady said nothing. I said that's not acceptable, she still said nothing. WE WAITED OVER AN HOUR TO BE SEATED. Outcome: THE HOSTESS FORGOT TO PUT US ON THE WAITLIST TWICE (once the call ahead and second time the in person request). We ended up speaking to the manager. She apologized and sat us as soon as she could. There were empty tables inside and outside the entire time btw. She sat us and offered a free appetizer for the inconvenience. She brought our children juice boxes and us glasses of water. We sat outside and NO ONE GREETED US TO TAKE OUR ORDERS. It was now getting late and a thunderstorm was rolling in. They moved us to another part of the patio. A table flipped over next to us onto a lady and spilled her entire table of food and drinks all over her and everyone around her. No one rushed to help her so my husband did. Thankfully she was ok. Now we are ready to leave as NO ONE EVER CAME TO TAKE OUR ORDER! People from our party of 5 decided it was time to leave, without their supper unfortunately. We asked to pay for our kids juices and told them we would like to leave. The girl asked the manager that sat us and said we didn't have to pay for the juices we were all set. WHAT IS GOING ON AT THIS PLACE??? this is a beautiful venue that has so much to offer but they can't seem to get organized!!! Usually the food and drinks are good and they have good live music???? When they first opened I loved the building and location but their food was just pineapple-ie. They must have changed ownership the food is now delicious. Try the mahi mahi with grits. Or the tacos. Or the pork. Or oysters! Their food has been phenomenal. I typically dine at the bar. I feel outside service is better than indoor bar. Indoor servers tend to be too busy / overwhelmed with drink orders for restaurant. They forget about everyone sitting at the bar. We ordered the Florida pork nachos, which could have been amazing, but lacking on some of the toppings. The pork was yummy, but like 5 bites of pork on a huge tray of chips. Fish tacos were amazing. My sister and I come to Tiki Docks quite often. We have never had a bad meal or poor service. Our server, Kate, is the best.

We haven't been here for awhile but decided to stop for lunch with friends. I really do like the atmosphere here with the exception of the music being too loud. Yes, it's probably my age, but we all had a hard time hearing one another. Our server, Mark, was exceptional. He promptly took and brought our drink orders, and gave us more time to peruse the menu when we asked. He was always there when we needed something and had our checks ready when we wanted them. I do find this menu challenging as I am a bit of a picky eater. I settled on the crab cake dinner, which was served with rice. Our food came out quickly and everything was hot. My crab cakes were excellent. They were covered with a corn, mango salsa and had a sauce on which was tasty. The rice was also exceptionally good. Overall, good meal, with great service. read more

There are some friends I trust when it comes to dining. They are wanna be foodies like me. Some friends did not give Tiki Docks the highest review, and it always seemed crowded, so I didn't go out of my way to try this restaurant. Let me tell you, I want to smack my friends upside the head. What a gem in Brandon. We took my mother-in-law and wife's aunt here for lunch. The restaurant looks fabulous inside and out. Love the feel of place. Side not, our aunt has mobility issues and they have a nice elevator to assist getting up from the parking lot to the dining area. We sat outside, in the summer, and it was very pleasant. Nice view of the Alafia. This place is very large, and while it was busy, there were still some tables closest to the water available. As nice as it was, I was skeptical about the food. Then, I got my salad, the island chopped salad with blackened shrimp. Wow, one of my favorite ever. Everything was fresh, nice portion of shrimp, which tasted great. I have to tell you though, as great as the salad was, my wife's fish and chips might have been even better, and I am a fish and chips snob. Everyone loved their meal. The service was my favorite kind, personable, casual, yet very efficient. We never had to wait for anything we needed or asked for, and she was friendly. This is a new favorite within 20 minutes of our home. If you haven't been to Tiki Docks, don't let the parking lot scare you away, there very well might be a table. This is may be THE place to take out of town guests if you don't want to drive all the way to Tampa. Very, very impressed and happy my friends were wrong. read more

The food is amazing I had the bourbon glazed salmon and it was delicious, my husband is a very picky eater and he had the perfect 10 burger and he loved it. Our server Jessica was so nice and made us feel really welcome. She checked on us often without being overbearing and made great recommendations. You can tell she really enjoys her job. The restaurant is visually striking. There's an attractive outdoor seating area. I was excited to try this restaurant. The interior look like any other sports bar that serves seafood. The menu is full of standard options for seafood. It's a typical menu of an establishment that spent all of their money on aesthetics. I wasn't inspired to try anything on the menu but I grabbed the wings just to get SOMETHING. They were not prepared well unfortunately. They were just shy of being cooked appropriately so the meat was more "noodley" than I prefer for my chicken. The staff was a mixed bag. Half very attentive, half uninterested.
