Came for a Friday lunch. I'm a big fan of Irish pubs, and was really happy I found this spot. For a first visit, I opted for the fish and chips and a Magners cider. The plate is a really nice portion, with two pieces of fish. I've gotten used to seasoned fried fish, so for me it was a little bland on its own. However, the firm flakes of the fish really show how fresh it is, and I loved that. The tartar sauce is creamy with a delightful lemon taste to it. The fries were crispy, hot, and very well seasoned. The highlight, surprisingly, was the coleslaw. The seasoning and the flavor were absolutely delicious. It brings a mellow flavor to the dish -- not tart, just soft and mild, the kind of thing that cuts right through the richness of the fried food and balances the plate. Happy hour starting at 11am on weekdays is a great deal. During my visit, the place wasn't busy, and sitting at the bar just felt very chill and relaxing. The playlist fit the vibe very well, too! I appreciated Evan, the bartender, checking in several times during my lunch. Stopped in here for a beer after watching a movie at the AMC a few miles away. It is an Irish pub with food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The menus were kind of old and a little soiled so if the food is good here I will never know because I wouldn't touch the menus.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sat at the bar and asked for the name of a beer they had on tap. She gave me a generic answer and it turns out she was right. It was just called Channelside IPA. Still the interaction wasn't very pleasant and in fact was a little awkward. Both locations have the same menu (not large, but good variety) and a fa la la fabulous holiday drink menu-served in the cutest mugs (which you can buy and take home for extra $). Both times, I had the grilled cheese and fries-both times, the sandwich was the perfect combo of crunchy and gooey -and in Brandon, it came with delicious bacon and tomato. I think this meal was less than $15... and it was so filling and satisfying. I was full for the day after a 2pm lunch. Did I tell you about the hot buttered rum? It's velvety comfort and joy, served in an an adorable winking Santa mug. Every time I see hot buttered rum on a menu somewhere, I order it. Only one time was it great-at Killington Ski Resort in Vermont. This... is even better than that. I don't know if it's the oat milk or the type of rum or a secret ingredient-but it's now at the top of my wish list, each holiday season. The elves (staff) in both locations were excellent. All of the servers and bartenders are dressed in festive attire and they seem to be enjoying the seasonal excitement. Both times, our servers knew just when to check in-and when to drop back. First of all we had a bunch of promotional gift cards but were told we could only use 1. That I was ok with. Then I found that they deleted the Irish breakfast. So I decided on the smash burger. A 3 oz patty? Seriously? For 12 dollars? Then I added a patty and had to order fries separately. This made my burger a 22 dollar meal. Ridiculous. I went to Strandhill Public for their Miracle Pop Up Experience and it so convenient not having to cross the bring. The reservation system is more like a request and they'll text you (or atleast they texted me) about four days before the date i set for reservations confirming. We were a party of 8. If Miracle comes back to strandhill definitely get a reservation and eat, because one, it's crowded but two, the food did not miss ! Our servers were kind. Our cocktails from the Miracle Menu are the same as Miracle as Mezzo, but Strandhill pre batch theirs and weren't as good as the other location where Miracle is hosted. Dear Strandhill Public, you had me a grass-fed beef patties. What can I say? I like quality. With that said the smash burgers are consistently so good here. I came for the grass-fed but I stayed for the amazing flavors for sure. I also highly recommend the buffalo cauliflower as an appetizers. Overall I feel like this place has incredible potential and think live music would just really kick it up a notch. Upon speaking to my waitress about it she actually said there were complaints about it so they took it off. Here's to hoping for a change in that regard. I went here to celebrate the birthday of one friend. We were really excited, but I think we went the wrong day because everything went badly. First, I'd like to mention that the waitress was really helpful and friendly and she tried to make our dinner enjoyable. We tried some beer while waiting for the food, and unfortunately, one of us had some weird accumulation of solids inside the beer. That was disgusting. The waitress changed it, but that really turned off the mood. I tried a Guinness that was OK. After ordering the food we had to wait a long time. Our food took a long time, even though there were few people inside. I tried the Shepherd's pie. It had good taste and it was very filling. My friends tried the Drunken mussels, Irish stew, iris whiskey burger, and fish and chips. They said it was OK. We ended with a cheesecake that was fine, but the berries on top were very sour. Everything seemed to be good until later in the night and the next morning when all of us had a strong stomachache. Excellent pub experience! Just across the lot from the Hampton Inn, so convenient... Started with Guinness, delicious! Had a snort of Blantons and finished with Jai Lai... The French Onion soup was excellent, so rich! I was delighted to enjoy a hearty serving of Shepards Pie...so good, and piping hot. Sat at the bar, busy upon arrival. This bar was located across the street from a hotel I stayed in for a work meeting. As I got in to town, I wanted a quick meal and a cold beer. The Strandhill was able to fulfill all of those needs. I sat at the bar and the bartender greeted me quickly. He was really nice and had good service skills. I got an ice cold mango road and ordered the boneless wings with fries. The boneless wings were ok- nothing amazing but with the beers they tasted better. We came here on a Wednesday for lunch. We were with my parents and sister. The restaurant is in a small strip mall with a few other restaurants and has a large parking lot. It is a good sized space and we were sat immediately. Our server was the bartender, but also might have been the owner or manager. This modern Irish pub is really aesthetically pleasing. It is a well kept establishment, everything really is immaculately clean, from the inside, the outside patio to the bathrooms. Service was really good, chilled but on the ball. The management also seemed to be around to help out which is nice to see. The wings were AMAZING, probably the best wings I have had in a while. They were perfectly cooked, seasoned and sauced. This place would be a great date spot, a lovely brunch spot, a nice happy spot or a great local hangout, it's extremely versatile. We come here all the time and brought the in laws to try our favorite pub. They loved it, my F.I.L eyes popped out when he tried the cornbeef sliders. The ambiance of the place is cool. My husband and I played shuffle board for a few minutes as a waiter cleaned off a table, so that we could sit at a booth. My husband ordered the Fitzgerald's cousin ($14) which has rhubarb bitters in it and he liked it, but it came out as a very small drink, so we would never order that again. I ordered the Lychee Lover's Elixir ($14) which was pretty good. As a vegetarian there isn't many options for me on the menu. The salad descriptions on the menu did not impress me so I ordered the Beyond burger ($16) with waffle fries (+$3). It tasted as good as any other Beyond burger I've had in the past. Next time I might try the Buffalo cauliflower. My husband got the Irish beef stew ($18) which he really enjoyed, so we'll probably be back soon so that he can eat that again. We really enjoyed ourselves at Strandhill Public. We had not been there but went with a few other families for Father's Day.They did not have any Father's Day Specials. The food was what I would call mid-range priced. We ordered a variety of appetizers and dinners and everybody enjoyed what they had. The beer drinkers got stout and thought that there could be a better beer and ale selection. They all like having new and local choices to try and compare. I think that the shepherds pie was the favorite main dish choice. The people who tasted it all reported that they would be back to order it again.
