Had dinner at Bernini and left impressed by both the variety and quality of the food. We started with the oysters and the bleu cheese mussels. The oysters were fresh and packed with flavor, while the mussels stole the show with a rich, creamy sauce that had us reaching for every last bite. The Margherita pizza was simple but done almost right-- just needed a few drops of marinara sauce, and it would've been out of the park, but it had a crispy crust, plenty of cheese, fresh tomatoes, and basil that brought everything together. The Chicken Parmesan was another standout, featuring a crispy breaded cutlet that was bigger than what I was expecting it was covered in a flavorful marinara and a generous layer of melted cheese over pasta. the best entrées in my opinion , the veal chop was tender and juicy, topped with a savory mushroom gravy and served alongside creamy risotto and broccoli. The filet was cooked perfectly and paired well with mashed potatoes, asparagus, and crispy onion rings that added a nice crunch. To drink, the Raspberry Lemondrop was refreshing, fruity, and looked just as good as it tasted. The mocktail and lemonade were also great options for balancing out the rich dishes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere felt lively and upscale without being overly formal, making it a great spot for a date night or dinner with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The server Kimberly) was attentive throughout the meal, and every dish arrived looking presentation-worthy. Overall: Bernini delivered a well-rounded dining experience with fresh seafood, excellent pasta dishes, quality steaks, and a great cocktail selection. The bleu cheese mussels and veal chop were my personal favorites, but there really wasn't a weak dish on the table. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Ybor City.
FAVORITE TAMPA RESTAURANT: I went to Bernini in Tampa 4 nights in a row during my trip, which says a lot by itself. It's the first restaurant I'll be returning to on my next trip back. The Cioppino was my favorite dish. I'm a seafood lover, and this one was outstanding. The Spaghetti Bolognese, Penne Sicilia, and Crispy Duck were all very well executed too. Other customers I spoke with were raving about the Pork Osso Bucco. And the Strawberry Basil Gimlet Martini was the best martini I've ever had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great atmosphere, consistently excellent food, and outstanding service from Shelby.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The management of this restaurant is very good, and you can see it in all aspects of the experience. If you love Italian, this is an easy choice. If you go, ask for her.
Last Sunday my daughters and I stopped at Bernini for early dinner and we were surprised that entrées and drinks were part of happy hour. The service was great. We enjoyed our drinks, and my kids were happy with their meals. My pasta, however was a bit disappointing, it was not warm enough, and the sauce was not rich and thick as I would have liked. Our server was great and offered to get me something else but I didn't want. Overall, it was a great experience and I appreciate the kindness of my server.
Great find!! We loved bringing our group.here! Not once, but TWO Nights in a row! Thomas took great care of us upstairs! Enjoyed the #4 martini specials, and the half price entrees and pastas. We will for sure be back next time we are in Tampa!!
I love everything about Bernini and have been for the last 20 years: $3 Martinis with Skyy Vodka and half off main courses till 7PM.. Bernini's is a staple in Ybor and in my heart. The blue cheese stuffed olives give me life here for my buck and the chefs in the kitchen know exactly what they're doing. Salmon and steak ALWAYS cooked perfect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's ample room and a cute bar to sit at if there's room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] First come first serve.
We stopped in without reservations and luckily they had room for 4. The atmosphere is very nice, except that the air conditioning was blowing on us constantly and since it was cold outside it wasn't necessary. The menu was perfect for me as I love Italian food. There is a nice wine menu, as well as appetizers and salads. I started with a glass of wine, which was a good pour. I ordered the soup of the day, which was an herbed chicken and the gnocchi. After a few minutes she came back and said they had no gnocchi so I settled on the lasagna. After asking for bread, it finally came and was delicious. My soup came piping hot and was fantastic! So much flavor and it warmed me up as the A/C was ridiculously cold. Our 4 meals arrived at once and my lasagna looked great. And guess what? It was great! The sauce was super tasty and this was veal lasagna and had great layers of everything. Service wasn't great, but food and atmosphere was fantastic. I saw the pizzas and they looked wonderful. I will be back.

Atmosphere - The restaurant has a lively atmosphere. There is seating on two levels and a large bar on the first level. My one complaint is that the tables are extremely close to one another. Service - our server was friendly and helpful. However, attentiveness lacked a bit, which I would attribute to a very busy evening. Food - the menu is not huge, but there are enough options that most people should be able to find something that appeals to them. I ordered the burrata caprese salad as a starter and it was very good. The burrata was ample and extremely fresh and creamy. I had the veal lasagna for my entree. The dish was served hot and tasted very good. While I would have liked more cheese, the pasta sauce was excellent and made up for the minimal amount of cheese. Overall - I am a big fan of Italian food and this restaurant measures up well in comparison to other restaurants in the Tampa area.

The service is not the best, and it takes sometime before you get your drinks and food but overall great!!!!

They have $3 sky martinis from 11:30 to 7:00 daily. They are all so delicious I can't decide what my favorite was. I loved the espresso martini and the blood orange cosmo martini. We sat at the bar and got great service. We watched the pizza station make homemade pizza the whole time we had to order one. They all looked so good it was hard to choose. We decided on the salsiccia which was a sausage pizza with tomatoes. It was so delicious. The place smelled good, had clean bathrooms, and white table cloths. We will be back to try the pasta.

The food is always delicious too, especially love the blackened salmon and their house made bread. Everyone who works there is so kind, remembers you and makes you feel welcome. We stumbled upon Bernini while looking for a place for dinner before a show down the street at the Ritz. The menu posted outside advertised $3 SKYY martinis and 1/2 off entrees, which sounded like a great deal to me. The inside is nice in a classy, old school kind of way. It was very busy and loud inside. We sat at the bar, and service was great. The bartender handled the busyness with ease. The cocktails and food were great, and the happy hour prices made for an upscale dining experience at a reasonable price.

We had friendly service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables are really packed into this place. I was thinking back to last month when I was post ankle surgery and on a knee scooter/crutches and it would have been difficult to navigate this restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The 1/2 off deals really help to want to dine here. The martinis are now $4 during the daily happy hour. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. Desserts were good. This place has been in business for decades. read more

We visited for Mother's Day and were pleasantly surprised by their special offer, $3 cocktails and a complimentary butter cake for every mother. Beyond the promotion, the service was excellent, the food was flavorful, and the ambiance was unique and inviting. Who doesn't like to each in a former bank which adds a distinctive charm to the experience. We ordered the Di Parma pizza and the Cigar City Chop salad. Both were delicious, with the pizza being a standout, I highly recommend it. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm looking forward to returning soon. read more

We did not originally plan to dine here, as a neighboring restaurant closed without notifying us. Despite that, this restaurant accommodated our party of 16 without hesitation--and what a fortunate turn of events it turned out to be. The staff was exceptional and incredibly accommodating. While the dining area felt a bit tight initially at 7:00 p.m., it became very comfortable once the dinner rush subsided. I ordered the pork leg shank osso buco, and it was hands down the best I have ever had--highly recommended. Dessert was the tiramisu, which was excellent, paired perfectly with an Irish coffee. Every bar drink we tried was well-crafted and spot on. An unexpected find and a truly memorable dining experience. read more
Ended up at this restaurant while on a trip to Tampa with my friend. We were looking for a happy hour and happened upon this gem. They offered $3 martinis until 7pm with so many choices. We got there around 6pm but our waitress came by often and we were able to try a few different flavors which were all good. I had the gnocchi and it was delicious. Happy hour also included half off entrees which was even better. This place was so good and service was top notch we came back the next day! Definitely worth a visit if in the area. read more
I had the shrimp Florentine risotto and it tasted amazing. The dish was perfectly seasoned and came together beautifully. I was there for a birthday dinner with about 10 of us, and our waiter was still very attentive. He even gave us a heads up about the happy hour deals that were still going on, which was nice. Stopped in at Bernini for lamb chops but ended up trying the crispy duck and the pork osso bucco. The pork was nice and tender. Juicy made to perfection. Lamb chops medium and seasoned so well. They also make the best raspberry lemon drops. The service was exceptional. Our waitress constantly checked on us and made sure to grab us to go boxes way before we could finish because it was a good amount of food. The ambiance is good for date nights or just even a casual bite to eat. I also suggest going during happy hour and keep the drinks flowing read more
Everything goes well when I come here for HH/Dinner! The happy hour starts at 11:30am and goes until 7pm with $3 martinis and they are really good!!! They use Sky vodka which isn't bad at all. At 4pm you can get 1/2 price entrees. The pork tomahawk is to die for. I even have my husband hooked lol. It's definitely a cute date spot or just a chill spot to go with friends. You don't have to sit at the bar to enjoy HH so outside is also an option! It's located right in Ybor city and in my opinion is the best kept secret....although it's out now lol!!! Check them out, you will not be disappointed! And while you're there give the blue cheese mussels a try. They are so good, I might have to take a trip there today! read more
Visited here on a Sunday around 6, we were pleasantly surprised by their special: half off pasta dishes and $3 martinis. The service was good, our server was attentive. The ambiance was nice, the restaurant use to be a bank. The food was good, could have used a little more flavor but it was good. When we asked for cheese, I was expecting freshly grated cheese from a restaurant like this, I was disappointed that it was the cold shake from a jar cheese. I would visit again the next time I'm I'm Ybor, especially if they still have that special. read more

We have passed by Bernini while walking through ybor a few times and finally decided to try it today. I am so glad we did! The food and drinks were delicious, especially the bread. Our server, James, went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. He was the best! We will definitely be back! read more

One of the best happy hours. 4pm-7pm, 1/2 off entrees and apps and $3 Sky martinis. We've had almost everything on the menu. My favorites are the Pork Osso Bucco, dry aged bbq pork tomahawk, and ravioli. And we always get several strawberry gimlet martinis. read more

Go ahead walk into this 130 year old establishment and marvel at the water colored murals stretched out in this Italian Neo-Classical style in this beautifully modern restaurant. OK, my darlings, check out my picture on the martini menu; everything is $3 American dollars, I will repeat, $3 American dollars, from 10 AM to 7 PM Monday through Friday. My brunch bitches, please run, click-clack, click-clack ,click-clock, down to Bernini in the afternoon and have yourselves a brunchy-good time. Ask for Sean behind the bar, he's amazing; not very talkative but super nerdy cute. See you there, my martini girls!!! read more

"Recommended to us" The atmosphere was beautifully inviting. The choice of colors were warm. Long and very tall walls accentuated with these long oversized windows all made your eyes wonder around the room. Decor wonderful. The service was top notch, shout out to BOB!! Greeted us, sat us, was very knowledgeable about the food options, very accommodating, kind, professional and took very good care of us during our dinner. The food arrived reasonably quickly, was hot, seasoned to perfection and so tasty! I ventured with the Diablo shrimp & crab sauce over spaghetti, hubby went with the sausage, peppers & onions over his choice of Penne. We very much enjoyed our experience here, food well done. I took my GF out for dinner before attending the Ballet. It was both our first times, and while it was beautiful, the din inside was so loud. It was hard ro have a conversation with my companion. The food was ok, the Chicken Parmesan was dry, and hard to chew. My friend loved her duck, except the broccoli was pretty raw. Overall an Ok experience. read more

This spot used to be a bank and it has absolutely beautiful architecture. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. We shared the pizza di Parma and the cigar city chop salad. One of the best parts was the $4 Espresso Martinis - yes, $4. They were tasty and the perfect amount of liquor in it also. I would definitely like to return! read more

Happy hour deals are amazing and worth it for what you get! The drinks are small but strong so worth it to me! The food is very good and tasty! I'm picky with chicken parm but their's is awesome! Love the sauce and I'm picky from NJ! Great place and good service, definitely worth checking out!! Will be back soon!! read more

What is the dress code?
Anything from casual to smart causal depending on the time and occasion. I wore heels, jeans and a pretty top, but it was happy hour. I saw people trickling in for dinner who wore dresses and heels.
