My husband started with the Mexican lager because it's light and has great body. It's one of his go tos. I started with their cherry cola hard cider. It's the first time I've ever had the cider and it was good, but I wish it would've had a little bit more of the cola flavor in it. The cherry was also pretty light, but you could smell it when you want to take a drink. For my husband's second drink, he switched to night swim, which is their Porter. He really liked. It said it was very light to drink, but had great flavor. Enough so that when we got home, he noticed that they sold a 12 pack in our local Publix and he picked one up. I chose to have the fallen fruit cider as my second one. It is their standard hard cider and it really is delicious. I know that they have distribution regionally, and I wish they would add their cider to it.

The fries were hot and crispy, but overall the chicken itself could benefit from a crispier exterior. Worth noting for future guests: the Red Eye cider buffalo sauce comes with a $1 upcharge. The venue is a good size with a lounge area toward the from, the long bar to the right, two pool tables, 3 dart boards in the back and a juke box. They also have a few TVs throughout which when I was there on Saturday night was playing the power rangers. Since they have a Jukebox, you can play your own music. The jukebox though defaults to rock which is probably most played here. Still though because of this the music was eclectic, including someone who played Herbie Hancock. They have an outside area which I passed by on the way in, but didn't go out to check out. The patrons were great, in part because they had someone at the front checking IDs. But also because this is a bar for craft beer enthusiasts and it showed. The service was exceptional. You have to walk to the bar to get service and the two people who were working were very attentive. If you are in Ybor City, you like craft beer and bar games, I highly recommend Dirty Shame.

IT being all the feels and vibes Danielle Vergnaud-McKinnon and Matthew McKinnon opened Sky Puppy in September of 2024 in the Historic 1888 Casa Bomberos firehouse, which was Tampa's original firehouse. Matthew brews their fantastic beers and Danielle designed Sky Puppy and runs operations. It's absolutely stunning. Historically, Ybor City is known as the Cigar Capital of the world. When the Sanchez y Haya Building in Ybor City was abandoned, thousands of bats took over! So it's known for Cigars and Bats... or.. Sky Puppies The taproom is stunning. The fact that it's so dog friendly makes it even better for us. I heard that they're so dog friendly, they made a calendar of the regular dogs - whether that is true or not, I am not entirely sure. Obviously this place wouldn't do so well if they didn't have a good tap list - which they definitely do. They also have a couple of their own beers which are not bad at all. Also, from checking other bars, their prices are not too terrible. They are not great, but that is more due to the nature of the beer and rarity.
