Martini
Janel G.

We had friendly service. The tables are really packed into this place. I was thinking back to last month when I was post ankle surgery and on a knee scooter/crutches and it would have been difficult to navigate this restaurant. The 1/2 off deals really help to want to dine here. The martinis are now $4 during the daily happy hour. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. Desserts were good. This place has been in business for decades.

Really enjoyed the 8 oz filet at Bernini. It was cooked medium well and was extremely juicy steak. The service was amazing. Entrees and pasta are half off daily from 4 pm to 7 pm, an undeniable deal. The bread they serve you is soft and warm, very delicious treat offered on behalf of the business. The martinis are $4, I tried the raspberry lemon drop and it didn't disappoint. The ambiance is nice, outdoor seating is available but i prefer the bar or indoor. Bernini truly lives by its motto that "Taste is a matter of art".

I've come to this restaurant a handful of times, and it's usually hit or miss. When it's good, it's phenomenal but otherwise it's just okay. They do have a great happy hour with half price entrées. They make a really great dirty martini. The ambience is nice, and it does get very busy at times. Our last visit was a bit of a disappointment. One of the entrées that came out was cold, and the meat was hard. We asked for an appetizer as a replacement, and it took over 30 minutes to receive the appetizer. (It was not busy this day) By that time, everyone else at the table was already done eating. It was definitely a letdown, but they did comp the drinks, which was thoughtful.

Martinis...my fav is the dirty with blue cheese olives

Back at my favorite HH spot. 1/2 off entrees from 4-7 and 4 martinis from 11am -7 the salmon is always cooked perfect and pair well with a side of mashed potato's

Had dinner at Bernini and left impressed by both the variety and quality of the food. We started with the oysters and the bleu cheese mussels. The oysters were fresh and packed with flavor, while the mussels stole the show with a rich, creamy sauce that had us reaching for every last bite. The Margherita pizza was simple but done almost right-- just needed a few drops of marinara sauce, and it would've been out of the park, but it had a crispy crust, plenty of cheese, fresh tomatoes, and basil that brought everything together. The Chicken Parmesan was another standout, featuring a crispy breaded cutlet that was bigger than what I was expecting it was covered in a flavorful marinara and a generous layer of melted cheese over pasta. the best entrées in my opinion , the veal chop was tender and juicy, topped with a savory mushroom gravy and served alongside creamy risotto and broccoli. The filet was cooked perfectly and paired well with mashed potatoes, asparagus, and crispy onion rings that added a nice crunch. To drink, the Raspberry Lemondrop was refreshing, fruity, and looked just as good as it tasted. The mocktail and lemonade were also great options for balancing out the rich dishes. The atmosphere felt lively and upscale without being overly formal, making it a great spot for a date night or dinner with friends. The server Kimberly) was attentive throughout the meal, and every dish arrived looking presentation-worthy. Overall: Bernini delivered a well-rounded dining experience with fresh seafood, excellent pasta dishes, quality steaks, and a great cocktail selection. The bleu cheese mussels and veal chop were my personal favorites, but there really wasn't a weak dish on the table. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Ybor City.

FAVORITE TAMPA RESTAURANT: I went to Bernini in Tampa 4 nights in a row during my trip, which says a lot by itself. It's the first restaurant I'll be returning to on my next trip back. The Cioppino was my favorite dish. I'm a seafood lover, and this one was outstanding. The Spaghetti Bolognese, Penne Sicilia, and Crispy Duck were all very well executed too. Other customers I spoke with were raving about the Pork Osso Bucco. And the Strawberry Basil Gimlet Martini was the best martini I've ever had. Great atmosphere, consistently excellent food, and outstanding service from Shelby. The management of this restaurant is very good, and you can see it in all aspects of the experience. If you love Italian, this is an easy choice. If you go, ask for her.

Omg!!! The duck dish is to die for!!! You may say I'm exaggerating but it's that good. I am a steak girl through and through, and I chose the duck each and every time. The venue itself is small, right in the heart of ybor. Not the cleanest place, could be due to the old building, but the drinks are cheap during happy hour and the entree are also half priced during that time. The service is not the best, and it takes sometime before you get your drinks and food but overall great!!!!

We stopped in without reservations and luckily they had room for 4. The atmosphere is very nice, except that the air conditioning was blowing on us constantly and since it was cold outside it wasn't necessary. The menu was perfect for me as I love Italian food. There is a nice wine menu, as well as appetizers and salads. I started with a glass of wine, which was a good pour. I ordered the soup of the day, which was an herbed chicken and the gnocchi. After a few minutes she came back and said they had no gnocchi so I settled on the lasagna. After asking for bread, it finally came and was delicious. My soup came piping hot and was fantastic! So much flavor and it warmed me up as the A/C was ridiculously cold. Our 4 meals arrived at once and my lasagna looked great. And guess what? It was great! The sauce was super tasty and this was veal lasagna and had great layers of everything. Service wasn't great, but food and atmosphere was fantastic. I saw the pizzas and they looked wonderful. I will be back.

Undisclosed credit card fee surcharge and facility fee surcharge. 5.5% before you even add on the price of food, these restaurants are jumping the shark here, lifelong camper resident has been here plenty of times because the food is decent, but I'll never return

Last Sunday my daughters and I stopped at Bernini for early dinner and we were surprised that entrées and drinks were part of happy hour. The service was great. We enjoyed our drinks, and my kids were happy with their meals. My pasta, however was a bit disappointing, it was not warm enough, and the sauce was not rich and thick as I would have liked. Our server was great and offered to get me something else but I didn't want. Overall, it was a great experience and I appreciate the kindness of my server.

This is a great place for a date night and happy hour. They have good deals for entrees as they're half off and martinis are $4. Service is great too! If you're looking for an affordable date night here is your place.

Atmosphere - The restaurant has a lively atmosphere. There is seating on two levels and a large bar on the first level. My one complaint is that the tables are extremely close to one another. Service - our server was friendly and helpful. However, attentiveness lacked a bit, which I would attribute to a very busy evening. Food - the menu is not huge, but there are enough options that most people should be able to find something that appeals to them. I ordered the burrata caprese salad as a starter and it was very good. The burrata was ample and extremely fresh and creamy. I had the veal lasagna for my entree. The dish was served hot and tasted very good. While I would have liked more cheese, the pasta sauce was excellent and made up for the minimal amount of cheese. Overall - I am a big fan of Italian food and this restaurant measures up well in comparison to other restaurants in the Tampa area.

I love everything about Bernini and have been for the last 20 years: $3 Martinis with Skyy Vodka and half off main courses till 7PM.. Bernini's is a staple in Ybor and in my heart. The blue cheese stuffed olives give me life here for my buck and the chefs in the kitchen know exactly what they're doing. Salmon and steak ALWAYS cooked perfect. There's ample room and a cute bar to sit at if there's room. First come first serve.

Bernini Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Bernini

Do they have happy hour specials on other cocktails besides martinis?

They have a few other drinks on the HH menu along with the Martinis.

Do they do takeout orders?

Yes

What is the dress code?

Anything from casual to smart causal depending on the time and occasion. I wore heels, jeans and a pretty top, but it was happy hour. I saw people trickling in for dinner who wore dresses and heels.

Two words: WiFi Waiter…read more The Attic has upgraded from texting your drink orders to the bar (which was already awesome), to a WiFi network that redirects you to their ordering system with a full menu. It's a little buggy, but I love this concept since the order confirmation page ensures you provide all the info the bar needs to deliver your order to your table. When the waiter arrives, you can close out or start a tab. The space itself is very intimate and loft-like. Decent sound for musical performances. I just wish the only restrooms weren't on the first floor, but it's got a great location with plenty of street and parking lots nearby.

Our waitress, who was friendly and clearly trying her best, appeared to be doing everything -- taking orders, serving tables, and possibly even cooking. It wasn't her fault, but it made the entire service feel slow and chaotic. Despite the place being nearly empty, it took 1 hour and 40 minutes to get our food. That kind of delay would be hard to overlook even during a rush -- let alone a slow morning. Several menu items were already "out" which was confusing and disappointing for a small menu. It felt like they were unprepared to open for the day.

Disappointed about it no longer being 50% but just wish it was advertised more clear on social media/at the restaurant/online. Anyways, the restaurant is very cute and I like the shaded outdoor area. We ordered some wine, beer, and pizzas. My fiancé enjoyed the beers and my wine was not very good but the cheapest glass so I wasn't expecting much. We ordered Price's House and the fig & prosciutto pizza - both were $19 which is not crazy expensive but Price's House imo is overpriced. The crusts are thin and crispy on these pizzas if that's your style. Price's house was pretty average, salty from the salami, not enough mozzarella (some pieces didn't have any), not much flavor to it. The pizza is not bad by any means but nothing special and overpriced imo. Could get better pizza elsewhere for that price. The Fig & Prosciutto was OUTSTANDING. So much flavor, sweet and salty, fresh from the arugula, all-around 10/10. Would recommend this one to anyone debating which pizza I would have rated this place a 3/5 but that fig & prosciutto pizza really carried it home and made it seem like they have pretty good food and I just ordered the wrong thing. I would def be willing to try this again!

It's a fun location in the heart of Ybor; we walked up with loads of presents, and I brought a special cake (which I forgot to ask if I could).
