I came here for brunch. Service was great. Food was good but very overpriced for the portion sizes. I got the surf and turf Benedict and I only got a chunk of lobster and some shaved steak. With tips and tax, it was a $25 meal which wasn't very filling. But I would say this is a delicious dish! read more

What an absolute disappointment. First off, nothing to do with service. All the ladies we met were phenomenal. Let's start with.. we made reservations way in advance for brunch for 6 people. We asked to sit in the lounge for the dj. We were told no, too many people in our party. We asked again day before... told no We get there, today... we asked again and are told oh sure you can sit back there. Barely anyone back there. Wtf?! We sit, we order lots of drinks. Then we order appetizers: chips and caviar dip, charcuterie stand & bacon. Bacon and charcuterie were lovely. The chips were cheap lays potato chips broken from the bag. Have some hand cut chips to go with caviar... Then for brunch we had quiche, carpaccio, 2 surf and turf Benedict's, steak sandwich, lobster roll, and some mushroom toast. My quiche was sour. I don't know how else to describe it. Spinach and feta which I love normally but every bite was OFF. Table tried it, they all agreed. Lobster... in the sandwich and Benedict's were so fishy and so overcooked they were like rubber bands. Sad. The food wasn't eaten sadly. I heard the steak sandwich was decent from my friend but the rest was so subpar. We drank more and got the heck out. Doubt we will return. Was not worth the price for his hungry we left after bad food. Again, service was stellar. read more

The food was mediocre. We had a party of 7 for Brunch on a Sunday, so we ordered a lot of different things. We ordered oysters and they were the smallest oysters I've ever seen in my life. Premature oysters. The avocado toast, that was trash. Do not recommend. Made with spread from Publix. The surf and turf Benedict was really good. The wedge salad was pretty good . The steak sandwich was alright but half of the sandwich had no meat at all. Veggiees and spread only . And can't forget that all their main plates comes with a. Side of lays chips from Walmart. Very small tables, we had a party of 7 and they put very tiny tables together. They can't accommodate big parties. They also need better ventilation system because they have a open concept kitchen and the whole time we were there the restaurant was so smoky my eyes we're burning and the smell making me nausea's. At least kept the bottomless mimosas coming and our server was very nice. Also on their website they said they had a Dj on sunday Brunches and he was nowhere to be found. Music sucked. read more

First time dining at Bouzy and my girlfriend and I decided to try their brunch. The vibe is nice. The oysters were great but this doesn't require any cooking techniques. I did do the unlimited bottomless mimosas and I definitely had a headache later so that's my indication that the champagne used was "not ideal". The restaurant changed their menu literally the night before so what I initially prepared to try was off the menu when I arrived the next day. I was disappointed in my entree. It was so beautifully presented (surf and turf), a great portion size as well. But why did I need salt?! I have never had to season any entree at any of my past restaurant dining experiences and I eat everywhere. I'm usually sodium sensitive but no salt and not seasoned with anything else is just blasphemy. read more

Came here in the Hyde Park area for brunch and really enjoyed the vibe at Bouzy. The outdoor seating is great and felt more family-friendly, while the inside definitely leaned more adult. Food was good across the board...everything tasted really good. The shrimp and grits portion was way bigger than expected. Flavor was solid, but the grits were a little runny for my taste. The brown sugar waffles were my favorite dish. We also got in just in time for some holiday drinks, and those were a fun touch...very festive and cute presentation. It was my daughter's birthday, so the waiter brought out a dessert with a candle, which was really nice. Later we realized we were actually charged for it, which was a little surprising but still a good experience with great outdoor seating, good food. Just something to keep in mind if you're celebrating a special occasion lol. read more

Boozy is a cool little spot in Hyde Park, right across the street from Forbici. It's really small and quaint on the inside, which gives it a cozy, intimate feel. The kitchen is right behind the bar, so if you're sitting there you can actually watch them cooking, which is a nice touch. It's a great place for drinks. I've eaten here once and I think I got the grilled cheese. It was a while ago, but from what I remember it was pretty good. That said, I personally prefer Boozy as more of a drinks spot than a food destination. They also have a back room that I haven't actually sat in yet, but I've peeked my head in and it's gorgeous and looks super fun. I believe they do a mimosa special on the weekends, and sometimes have live music or a DJ back there, which is really cool. Overall, it kind of gives off a speakeasy vibe and is definitely worth checking out. read more

We found Bouzy while walking around looking for a brunch spot on a rare trip to Hyde Park and came away very pleased with the experience overall, though there were a few minor hiccups with our visit. I'll start with the good stuff. The space inside Bouzy's front dining area and bar is gorgeous. It's not large, but it has very high ceilings, which add to the sense of space, and the modern decor, especially the bubble-inspired lighting, all add up to a bright and vibrant atmosphere. I can easily imagine it looks even more polished and stylish at night. Also, our food was excellent. We got the Florentine Benedict and the Shrimp & Grits -- both were beautifully plated and delicious. Also, if you're feeling snacky before brunch, try the Marinated Olives. It's easily a snack for two -- we even ended up taking some home! I did mention a few minor hiccups at the start. The bottle of Cava Reserva we ordered was not kept chilled, so we had to wait a little for it to come out and we did worry for a moment that we wouldn't get it before our entrees arrived. Also, our server, while very friendly and sweet, was a little uneven in terms of how often she came over to check on us. At the start, she seemed a little scattered, but later on she found her groove and came over to us more often to see what we needed. As I said, minor hiccups, and certainly nothing that would discourage us from another visit the next time we cross the bay and visit Hyde Park. Definitely curious about what it might be like at night! read more

Love the drinks here, hate the ambiance. The music is always so loud in here, you have to scream to talk to the person you came with. They want to be a nice restaurant, but the ambiance the DJ turns it more into a club with loud rap music. I hope they change this. However, I have been to their back room, and that is really nice. Jazz nights on Thursday there is great. Their drinks and food save this spot too- I think the Jentini is my favorite cocktail in Tampa.. yeah, really! I still like and recommend this spot but I hope they decide different options for live music on weekends. read more

We stopped by Bouzy on Friday night out for a quick drink before catching a movie. We decided on a bottle of the Honey Bubbles and the chips and dip. The bottle was served chilled which really enhanced the flavor. The chips and dip was your everyday rotel it was potato chips with french onion crème fraiche and caviar. This was my first time having caviar and it was such a light and fresh snack. Perfectly paired with our wine. This was such a nice place with an upscale feel to relax and catch up with a friend! read more

I think this place has potential but I won't be going back to give it another try. Super trendy vibe, pricey menu, but the food and drink don't match the atmosphere. We ordered truffle popcorn to start with... and it was stale. How do you get popcorn wrong when you're charging $6 for a small bowl?! The waitress offered to make us a fresh batch but we didn't want to risk it. Got the bread and butter instead and it was just meh. That's where we gave up on the menu and decided to leave. There were also gnats flying around everywhere which gave the place a less than clean feel. read more

Went to Bouzy recently for a drink, and I just gotta say that it's SO good. I got the browned butter old fashioned, which is one of the best old fashioneds that I have ever had in my whole life. The service was fantastic - despite them being slammed, they got us in so quickly and were on top of making sure that everything was great. Our waitress (whose name I can't remember, I'm so sorry) was so sweet and helpful in making decisions. I really recommend this place for a fun little drink (or two)! read more

Bouzy Brunch - it was Bouzy & loud! My girlfriends and I did their Bouzy brunch in the cellar room yesterday. Our server was fun and attentive. We all ordered the bottomless mimosas for $25. You can switch back and forth between mimosas and bloody Mary's. For the mimosas, you can mix in your own OJ and mango juice. If you're looking for a party brunch, this is your spot. They had a DJ in the cellar and the music was super loud & fun. For food we ordered the citrus beet salad (added fish), the avocado toast with egg (added one more egg and a side of potatoes), and bacon, egg, cheese croissant (added a side of potatoes). The croissant was the most filling of the options we ordered. For a Bouzy brunch, I'd like to see more protein options on the menu. Overall we had a really fun time! Towards the end of brunch, people were dancing on the dance floor. read more

Bouzy is such a gem in Hyde Park. The cellar is my favorite spot, it's so unique and makes you feel like you've been transported somewhere completely different. I love it for Thursday jazz nights and Sunday DJ brunch, the dark and lively vibe is unmatched. The bar and outdoor patio are also great depending on the mood you're in. The food is always amazing, especially the chopped wedge which is the perfect mix in every bite. Their martinis are top notch and our waiter Jesse was so friendly and attentive. The space is kinda weird with a back room seems on the other side of the building, went through 2-3 doors. It made the service slow as well and not always having a staff in the back... Odd Menu is also very "international" Truffle Sandwich - probably the best thing we had, lightly grilled bread, flavorful (not necessarily truffle) meat. Baked Oyster - basic, not bad. New York Strip - there's several sinew within. Cocktail were too sweet read more

I recently went to Bouzy for brunch and here's what I thought. Ambiance: The place is very nicely decorated and has great indoor/outdoor seating options. We were seated in their wine cellar room and it felt like we had the entire place to ourself. The bathrooms were very clean! Always important. Service: Our waiter Brando was amazing. He was funny and so personable. He took great care of us. He checked on us constantly and made sure our bottomless mimosas were always topped off. All the other staff we encountered were so friendly. Food: We went for their $25 bottomless mimosas which come with an option of mango, orange, or cranberry juice. We opted for their mango juice which was delicious. I love how you can pour the juice yourself so the mimosa is made to your liking. We did our brunch family style. We ordered lots of food to share between the four of us. All of our dishes were amazing. This is a great place for brunch! We heard they have a DJ on Sundays for brunch, I'd love to come back for that. This is a fun spot to go with your friends for brunch and bottomless mimosas! @living.with.reg read more

The food was ok... we got the grilled cheese and Cuban bao buns. The grilled cheese was greasy and the cheese wasn't melted (not because they didn't cook it long enough but because the cheese seemed to have so many preservatives). The bao buns were ok - interesting flavors. The food too decently long but we weren't in a rush. Small indoor seating area (I think for mostly parties of 2) read more

Boozy is a great spa! I really do love it here for drinks. We definitely have to come back for brunch. I heard it is the place to be! But if you pop in for dinner, it's really nice too if you sit at the bar or at one of the small tables it's great! However, if you're heading towards the back, I'm not the biggest fan of walking back there. It's like you're walking in the little mall hallways that you have to exit if the mall is closed, and I feel like service is not as attentive back there. Their food is really good! But something is definitely missing, because each time I leave I kind of forget how great this place is, but when I do come back, I do remember it is a great place to dine! read more

It was an overall okay experience--more of an upscale bar vibe than a full-service restaurant. It's small on the inside and they had a nice setup outside in the front to accommodate our large group. Our server, Taylor, did a great job managing our large party, and another waiter consistently checked in to refill waters and clear plates, which I appreciated. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese. It wasn't bad, but it could've used a bit more seasoning to really stand out. Buyer beware: I usually order champagne with St. Germain, and in my past experiences, restaurants have charged it as a standard glass of champagne--never more than $20. However, here they used their most expensive champagne option, and the drink came out to $36.50. In hindsight, I should have specified which champagne I wanted, but it definitely caught me by surprise. Overall, great service, nice ambiance but mixed value for the price. read more

Bouzy is such a vibe. It has a beautiful , luxe aesthetic with soulful and fun music. Their cocktails are my go-to. I have an some good champagne from here as well. Bottomless Brunch in the cellar is also a vibe with the DJ and so much food for a great price. The service is always kind. One of the managers always checks to make sure my experience is going well. I suggest the Dirty Martini with caviar. The lobster roll was also very good. It was warm and not the cold version of a lobster roll. read more

Martini Hour @ Bouzy Tampa Happy hour round two brought me to Bouzy Tampa in Hyde Park. I kicked things off with a fresh Shrimp Cocktail paired with The Venezuelan Nobleman Espresso Martini, which had a rich, bold flavor. Next up were the Mushroom and Pork Belly Bao Buns--both packed with savory goodness. I closed the evening with a Brown Butter Old Fashioned and some Truffle Popcorn. Bouzy was a spontaneous pick after walking and shopping around the area. The hostess was incredibly nice and showed us the back wine room where they host brunches--so cute! My friend and I decided to try this restaurant out. The ambiance is nice. They have a few seating areas in the front. They also have a cellar where you can sit. They have a DJ in there at certain times. The cellar had a nice ambiance. The bartender made us some delicious mock-tails that weren't on the menu. I also had the Booze Free drink, Hyde Away, which was made with raspberry, coconut, pineapple, and lemon flavors. For food, we had the artisan bread and butter to start. I have been so Bouzy twice now, both on a Friday night and it is always packed! That's why I'm giving it three stars, we were seated this last time at the bar but it took forever for someone to acknowledge our existence and get our drink order. They have about five red wine by the glass on the list and I ordered a moderately priced one $14 and it was awful. I didn't want to say anything. I just drank it and we paid and we left. Still took forever. We were also sitting by the kitchen area and watched all the food being made. Very small prep area. Shocking that they make all of the food there. I actually wouldn't want to eat there after watching it. read more

Cute restaurant my friend and I stopped by for a quick bite and drink before a concert. We served a glass of bubbly while we waited for our table and I thought that was pretty cool! The menu offers a lot of difference choices, from Bao buns to burgers and salads and much more. I ordered the mushroom baos and loved them. The mushrooms were tasty and you could def taste the gochujang and toasted sesame seeds. My drink of choice was the Nouveau Carré which is an interesting twist on the Vieux Carré. The service was great. I wasn't impressed at all by my charcuterie, I am a cheese lover, so my expectations are high. Our server, Brandall, was great and very professional. I think this is a great place to have in Hyde Park. I finally was able to cross it off my Tampa list recently. I got the Popstar and Cuban bao buns. The buns were very small, but I assume most of the food is finger food. We came in at 9 PM, and we were still able to get 2 drinks and food before they closed. So, the service was very fast! I've heard a lot about Bouzy and the brunch experience they have but hadn't been yet. First impression: It's in a great spot with options to restaurant hop or shop before/after your reservations. There is a parking garage about a block away and pay by plate street parking available, it's a busy area so definitely plan accordingly. We had great weather so we opted for patio seating, even waiting by the door to be seated we could tell indoors would be chilly (not a bad thing here in FL). They have a great happy hour 4-7 during the week with unique items on it including bao buns (1 each), oysters, and even caviar sandwiches. We both snagged a French 75 cocktail off the $9 cocktail menu. It was summer in a glass. My friend ordered the Bao Buns off the happy hour menu for her entree so she could try two flavors. The entree comes with 2 and happy hour comes with 1. Ironically, the chef accidentally gave her extra and our waitress was so sweet to just bring it all out. We rated them a 4 from The Cuban was super unique for a Bao and they were presented well. Main entree recommendations from our waitress included the baked Mac & cheese, wedge salad, and the salmon. I went with salmon. The salmon was great, I was expecting to see a visual crust but it had a great crisp to it without really looking like it had a crisp. It was well prepared and even the non-seafood lover liked it. I'd score the salmon a 5 but the sides were a little subpar and didn't live up to the rest of the items we had. I had to dip both the beans and the potatoes in the mojo sauce to be excited about them. I'd give them a 3 to average the course as a 4. It was too nice to leave super early so we opted for a glass of Prosecco and macarons. The macarons were beautiful, but dry and a little too sweet for me, personally. I'm not sure if they make them in house or not so I'm excluding them from the review but would have given them a 3. Maybe a 3.5 with the Prosecco . I'm curious to try their 3-5 course brunch menu out in the cellar so will definitely be trying this spot out again. Friendly service, good food, and great location. read more

The chef was so nice and let us try dishes that weren't on the menu and I can say that everything was truly delicious. He came out to explain what the dishes were and how he makes them, it was a really special experience with amazing service. I think my favorites were the olive oil cake, the watermelon and feta salad, and the bao buns.
