Boozy is a cool little spot in Hyde Park, right across the street from Forbici. It's really small and quaint on the inside, which gives it a cozy, intimate feel. The kitchen is right behind the bar, so if you're sitting there you can actually watch them cooking, which is a nice touch. It's a great place for drinks. I've eaten here once and I think I got the grilled cheese. It was a while ago, but from what I remember it was pretty good. That said, I personally prefer Boozy as more of a drinks spot than a food destination. They also have a back room that I haven't actually sat in yet, but I've peeked my head in and it's gorgeous and looks super fun. I believe they do a mimosa special on the weekends, and sometimes have live music or a DJ back there, which is really cool. Overall, it kind of gives off a speakeasy vibe and is definitely worth checking out.

Came here in the Hyde Park area for brunch and really enjoyed the vibe at Bouzy. The outdoor seating is great and felt more family-friendly, while the inside definitely leaned more adult. Food was good across the board...everything tasted really good. The shrimp and grits portion was way bigger than expected. Flavor was solid, but the grits were a little runny for my taste. The brown sugar waffles were my favorite dish. We also got in just in time for some holiday drinks, and those were a fun touch...very festive and cute presentation. It was my daughter's birthday, so the waiter brought out a dessert with a candle, which was really nice. Later we realized we were actually charged for it, which was a little surprising but still a good experience with great outdoor seating, good food. Just something to keep in mind if you're celebrating a special occasion lol.

My favorite date night restaurant! The cellar experience is always beautiful especially when they have live music! Amazing drinks and don't miss out on the most delicious toast you'll ever have! Great service too!

We stopped by Bouzy on Friday night out for a quick drink before catching a movie. We decided on a bottle of the Honey Bubbles and the chips and dip. The bottle was served chilled which really enhanced the flavor. The chips and dip was your everyday rotel it was potato chips with french onion crème fraiche and caviar. This was my first time having caviar and it was such a light and fresh snack. Perfectly paired with our wine. This was such a nice place with an upscale feel to relax and catch up with a friend!

We just stopped for drinks while shopping at Hyde park. We sat in the champagne cellar and ordered multiple cocktails but our favorites are the Level One Martini and the Brut Rose. Love the glass ware and decor! Such a cute and classy venue!

Food service coffee and atmosphere was amazing so glad they opened this and the back room brunch area is so cute complete with DJ! Dogs are welcomed on the patio, Thank you!!!

I think this place has potential but I won't be going back to give it another try. Super trendy vibe, pricey menu, but the food and drink don't match the atmosphere. We ordered truffle popcorn to start with... and it was stale. How do you get popcorn wrong when you're charging $6 for a small bowl?! The waitress offered to make us a fresh batch but we didn't want to risk it. Got the bread and butter instead and it was just meh. That's where we gave up on the menu and decided to leave. There were also gnats flying around everywhere which gave the place a less than clean feel.

Bouzy Brunch - it was Bouzy & loud! My girlfriends and I did their Bouzy brunch in the cellar room yesterday. Our server was fun and attentive. We all ordered the bottomless mimosas for $25. You can switch back and forth between mimosas and bloody Mary's. For the mimosas, you can mix in your own OJ and mango juice. If you're looking for a party brunch, this is your spot. They had a DJ in the cellar and the music was super loud & fun. For food we ordered the citrus beet salad (added fish), the avocado toast with egg (added one more egg and a side of potatoes), and bacon, egg, cheese croissant (added a side of potatoes). The croissant was the most filling of the options we ordered. For a Bouzy brunch, I'd like to see more protein options on the menu. Overall we had a really fun time! Towards the end of brunch, people were dancing on the dance floor.

I loved the ambiance of Bouzy. It felt very intimate and upscale. The hostess greeted me and was very sweet. My waiter was pleasant and made sure I was doing ok. The lobster bun was DELICIOUS. I could honestly live off those lol. The Hyde Away drink was made to perfection. I will most definitely be back!

Underrated happy hour! I got the lychee martini and it was super unique. I thought it didn't taste like lychee as much as the Ro or Tori bar but was still delicious and fresh. My friend got the French 75 which was great as well. Service was great, and the bar is super cute.

Bouzy is such a gem in Hyde Park. The cellar is my favorite spot, it's so unique and makes you feel like you've been transported somewhere completely different. I love it for Thursday jazz nights and Sunday DJ brunch, the dark and lively vibe is unmatched. The bar and outdoor patio are also great depending on the mood you're in. The food is always amazing, especially the chopped wedge which is the perfect mix in every bite. Their martinis are top notch and our waiter Jesse was so friendly and attentive. Definitely one of my go-to spots.

Came here with a friend after a great work out! We sat at the bar and had a great meal. The chef and the bartender were really friendly and helpful and answered all our questions and made the experience memorable. I even made reservations for a future brunch with my family for a birthday. I had a great experience and will be back

The space is kinda weird with a back room seems on the other side of the building, went through 2-3 doors. It made the service slow as well and not always having a staff in the back... Odd Menu is also very "international" Truffle Sandwich - probably the best thing we had, lightly grilled bread, flavorful (not necessarily truffle) meat. Baked Oyster - basic, not bad. New York Strip - there's several sinew within. Cocktail were too sweet

It's got that all-around fun, energetic atmosphere that makes it a solid choice for drinks. Not sure how it is during the week, but it would make for a fun date night spot to grab some cocktails. That said, I had a real hang-up the last time I went with my girlfriend around Christmas. They tried to hit us with a $10 cover just to get in, on top of $15-20 cocktails. I don't mind paying for a nice spot, but the cover felt absurd, especially since it wasn't even busy. The bouncer said we could make a reservation to avoid it, so I did...and then he made us stand outside forever before letting us in. At that point, we should've just left, but since my friend had never been, we stuck it out to try the themed Christmas cocktails. Once inside, there was a two-drink minimum per person, which is kind of crazy. It feels like they jip you either way...cover or no cover, minimum spend or not. While waiting outside (for no real reason, since it was empty), we chatted with a party of six who came straight from Ash (the sister restaurant upstairs). They'd just spent over $1,000 on their meal and were still getting charged a cover to enter Alter Ego. That's poor business, don't force extra fees to guarantee money when good music, drinks, and vibes should bring people in naturally and make them want to spend. There's plenty of places on Water Street with great (and I'd say better) cocktails where you're not forced into minimums or covers. The Christmas cocktail menu was disappointing too, poor selections and way too sugary. Love the potential here, but the strict policies really turned me off and made me want to go elsewhere next time.

The ambiance was nice. A lot of eclectic paintings on the walls. And loved the outfits of the servers. Very 20's speakeasy. There is a live jazz band that started performing at 7 pm. They were good but at some points it was a bit difficult to speak and listen to those at your table unless you got really close. My meal hit the spot. We started with a charcuterie board for the table. It had a lot of great options like dried apricots, actual honeycomb pieces, and my most favorite cheese, some Brie cheese. The only thing was there was only 4 pieces of bread, one for each of us, which wasn't enough but I guess it made sense not to fill us up too much. For my main meal I had the sweet potato salad which was very tasty and the sweet potato risotto, which a little spicy kick. The only thing I missed was the Brussels sprouts and potatoes but was told that was from the previous chef. But they serve you enough so you definitely will have left overs. Not a big fan of eating in the lounge areas, those are best just for drinks and maybe desserts. But it's definitely a great place to people watch. My hubby and I ordered the Cobb Salad (without bacon) which was delicious. I really liked the onions on it. It was very fresh and they served a generous portion. Hubby ate the whole thing, but I had the rest of mine for dinner. So good! Two of our friends ordered the Truffle Mushroom Smash Burger and they loved them. I tried my buddy's tater tots, which he ordered with his French Dip. They were nice and crispy, but could have used some kind of flavoring, like Parmesan or truffle. Doesn't mean I didn't eat them all! LOL. The restaurant looks small when you enter, but in addition to the front dining area and bar, it has two additional dining areas, as you walk towards the back, and another bar. If you find yourself in the Channelside area, you should definitely try out Small Giant.
