I wanted a pizza and mellow mushroom has always been a pretty solid place to get a pizza. I was happy to find out if they offer do a happy hour which seems to be a pretty good happy hour too if you're gonna look for them for happy hour I would encourage you to go on their website or pull up and see what your specials are cause I cannot tell you onto the food I ordered a pizza and ask them not to put ham on said pizza when I took the pizza home. It looked delicious but it was riddled with sweet ham. I'm glad I don't have an allergy to it, but I guess if I had an allergy I wouldn't get anything else on there however, if I have asked you not to put ham on it why would you put ham on it? There was nobody in there and I waited just a smidgen. It wasn't anything terrible but it was kind of weird like nobody's here. Why am I waiting and what are y'all doing? Besides constructing boxes? It's mellow mushroom. It's a chain. I'll probably come back at some point. It's not gonna be anytime soon but it's worth going back each location looks different so the ambience was whatever the ambience was it wasn't anything to write home about but I went I ate. Happened upon this place as we were driving by and remembered some positive postings on my Nextdoor site. Kind of hard to tell if they were open by the design but they were and half of it. Really "neat" interior design kind of psychedelic given then name that's a no brainer. High tops, booths and tables all available so take your pick and a full bar is a plus. Great menu not just pizza but that's why you come in correct. Started with some wings which were ok but not bad, the mozzarella and pepperoni rolls were done really well very light not like a heavy garlic knot. The pizza was pretty good overall and had a nice flavor, but it wasn't the best I've ever had. The crust was cooked well and the ingredients tasted fresh, though some slices had a little too much grease. The service was friendly and the food came out quickly, which made the experience better. Work outing for lunch and we went to Mellow Mushrooms. Was about 10 of us. The place was clean and the waitress was quick and efficent, perfect for the lunch rush. The place wasn't busy so no wait. Parking lot is huge so you will find parking, as the restaurant is in a plaza so it's shared and quite busy. So be careful, pulling in and out and even crossing the lot. My daughter has to eat gluten free, so we needed a place that could be done at. Mellow Mushroom definitely met that need. She is not celiac and you can not eat here if you are. However, they had gluten free pizza crust which met her need. She enjoyed her pizza and later ate the leftovers, so you know it was good. The mushroom pizza was outstanding and their house salad was huge and full of ingredients. Our waitress was extremely helpful in showing my daughter what they could make for her that was gluten free. The pizza crust is the perfect combination of salty, garlicky, and crispy Parmesan cheesy I can find around. The toppings available are plentiful also! Pro tip: if eating solo, the small and the medium size pizzas are roughly the same, so go small and save a few bucks. I've been to this location a handful of times and the pizza is always very good but the speed of service can be very slow! The staff has always been friendly though. My fiancee and I went to Mellow Mushroom for dinner Saturday night. If you want to avoid the typical national chains and get a quality pizza in a sit-down restaurant environment, this is the place. We arrived around 6 or 7pm and got a table for 2. We could have been seated right away outside or the bar but decided to wait for an inside table. That wait was only about 15 minutes. Mellow Mushroom has a cool vibe to it. A very psychedelic, hippie, subtle use of the mushrooms to infer a certain "state of mind". They pride themselves on all-natural ingredients. They also offer gluten free and vegan options. Our server was around quick and took our drink orders and then an appetizer. We got the bruschetta. They only offer paper straws and we had to ask for regular ones. Some paper straws are better than others and these ones tend to just fall apart at the bottom and the top. We're all for saving the environment, just don't like eating paper. However they do not even keep regular plastic straws in stock. We were given children's cup straws. The bruschetta was excellent. Crispy pieces of bread stacked with tomatoes, basil, feta cheese and balsamic vinegar. Tasted fresh and it was really good! For our dinner, we ordered the Mighty Meat pizza in the medium size. This 6 slice pizza had a flavorful red sauce with fresh mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, ham and bacon. With the many toppings, it's not overwhelming, not too salty but meaty for sure. The cheese was also perfect, not too much or too little. Their crust also hits high marks for me. It's made with what flour and Appalachian Spring Water. I noticed it was a darker dough and the flavor is perfect. The 6 slices was more than enough and we each had a piece to take home for later on. With the quality of ingredients and focus on creating a "higher order of pizza" you can't go wrong with a pizza from Mellow Mushroom. I wasn't as impressed by their food as I thought I would be. I had a vague memory of their pizza from ages ago, and it was better than average, but yesterday the food was just average. I enjoyed the sweet Thai wings, they were definitely better than the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. I found the meat too cheesy and the sandwich pretty bland overall. I will say that the way they package everything is wonderful.
