Happened upon this place as we were driving by and remembered some positive postings on my Nextdoor site. Kind of hard to tell if they were open by the design but they were and half of it. Really "neat" interior design kind of psychedelic given then name that's a no brainer. High tops, booths and tables all available so take your pick and a full bar is a plus. Great menu not just pizza but that's why you come in correct. Started with some wings which were ok but not bad, the mozzarella and pepperoni rolls were done really well very light not like a heavy garlic knot. The Kosmic pizza was done very well and you can alter ingredients as you like not stuck with this is how it's made. Nice atmosphere and good service so all around a very good experience. read more

I wanted a pizza and mellow mushroom has always been a pretty solid place to get a pizza. I was happy to find out if they offer do a happy hour which seems to be a pretty good happy hour too if you're gonna look for them for happy hour I would encourage you to go on their website or pull up and see what your specials are cause I cannot tell you onto the food I ordered a pizza and ask them not to put ham on said pizza when I took the pizza home. It looked delicious but it was riddled with sweet ham. I'm glad I don't have an allergy to it, but I guess if I had an allergy I wouldn't get anything else on there however, if I have asked you not to put ham on it why would you put ham on it? There was nobody in there and I waited just a smidgen. It wasn't anything terrible but it was kind of weird like nobody's here. Why am I waiting and what are y'all doing? Besides constructing boxes? It's mellow mushroom. It's a chain. I'll probably come back at some point. It's not gonna be anytime soon but it's worth going back each location looks different so the ambience was whatever the ambience was it wasn't anything to write home about but I went I ate. I love ordering take out from here. I tried their new Mellow Rollz and they did not disappoint. Just delicious and their dippings sauces are insane. You get 8 pieces that are at least 6 bites each of cheesy goodness wrapped in their insane crust and dusted with parmesan. A myriad of dipping sauces to choose from. You get 3. I chose Vodka, Garlic Aoli and Pesto. Omg! I loved them all. I also got a cookie that is so insanely good, I could not make them better myself, and they are big! 2 servings easy or share with a friend. My daughter has to eat gluten free, so we needed a place that could be done at. Mellow Mushroom definitely met that need. She is not celiac and you can not eat here if you are. However, they had gluten free pizza crust which met her need. She enjoyed her pizza and later ate the leftovers, so you know it was good. The mushroom pizza was outstanding and their house salad was huge and full of ingredients. Our waitress was extremely helpful in showing my daughter what they could make for her that was gluten free. Work outing for lunch and we went to Mellow Mushrooms. Was about 10 of us. The place was clean and the waitress was quick and efficent, perfect for the lunch rush. The place wasn't busy so no wait. Parking lot is huge so you will find parking, as the restaurant is in a plaza so it's shared and quite busy. So be careful, pulling in and out and even crossing the lot. I've been to this location a handful of times and the pizza is always very good but the speed of service can be very slow! The staff has always been friendly though. Listen - the wings & the breadcrust on their pizza is UNMATCHED. I've never been disappointed with Mellow Mushroom. Definitely one of my go to's. What could have been a bad experience turned into a great one! My husband and I each ordered a pizza. After waiting a while, the server came to the table. She told us because the wait was so long, they were giving free cheesy bread to all the tables waiting. But, because I can't have gluten or dairy, she brought us hummus and veggies. My fiancee and I went to Mellow Mushroom for dinner Saturday night. If you want to avoid the typical national chains and get a quality pizza in a sit-down restaurant environment, this is the place. We arrived around 6 or 7pm and got a table for 2. We could have been seated right away outside or the bar but decided to wait for an inside table. That wait was only about 15 minutes. Mellow Mushroom has a cool vibe to it. A very psychedelic, hippie, subtle use of the mushrooms to infer a certain "state of mind". They pride themselves on all-natural ingredients. They also offer gluten free and vegan options. Our server was around quick and took our drink orders and then an appetizer. We got the bruschetta. They only offer paper straws and we had to ask for regular ones. Some paper straws are better than others and these ones tend to just fall apart at the bottom and the top. We're all for saving the environment, just don't like eating paper. However they do not even keep regular plastic straws in stock. We were given children's cup straws. The bruschetta was excellent. Crispy pieces of bread stacked with tomatoes, basil, feta cheese and balsamic vinegar. Tasted fresh and it was really good! For our dinner, we ordered the Mighty Meat pizza in the medium size. This 6 slice pizza had a flavorful red sauce with fresh mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, ham and bacon. With the many toppings, it's not overwhelming, not too salty but meaty for sure. The cheese was also perfect, not too much or too little. Their crust also hits high marks for me. It's made with what flour and Appalachian Spring Water. I noticed it was a darker dough and the flavor is perfect. The 6 slices was more than enough and we each had a piece to take home for later on. With the quality of ingredients and focus on creating a "higher order of pizza" you can't go wrong with a pizza from Mellow Mushroom. The servers were very polite. I think ours waitress's name is Niki. The food was very good. I loved the soup, hummus, and meatball sub. The chicken salad was pretty good. First off, I have been dining here with my family since I was in middle school. This is a weekly staple for us and we love the food, the wait staff, and the vibes of the place. We have seen the many renovations and face lifts, but this Mellow Mushroom has always been the same at heart. I should have written a review years ago, but I use yelp primarily for looking up food photos at restaurants who don't have pictures in their menus. My experience on Sunday the 19th though made me want to write a review. I witnessed a customer, the review right below me, lose her cool with the staff. As someone who apparently uses yelp frequently, you would think she would check to see if this store allowed dogs. It's clear as day in their yelp page which I highlighted for those who are lazy. The employees looked confused as she insulted them and called them names (like dumb bi*ch), which I applaud them for keeping their cool because I would not have stood for that. If you can write a review on yelp, you can learn to use yelp properly people, it's has a plethora of information about restaurants that can save you time, and avoid you looking like a jackass. Now for a normal (and my first ever review): Please come to this restaurant if you like to be treated like your family! This staff will always go above and beyond for you, and always give you a great experience. I usually eat the magical mystery tour which is an off menu item, but they'll always happily make it per request. Please try it! You'll love it if you like mushrooms and jalapeños. :-) I usually try different pizzas every time, and they've all hit, but that pizza has a special place in my heart. I will say that the way they package everything is wonderful.
