Burrata and tomato appetizer
Maddie M.

We came here on Sunday afternoon. There was a parking lot behind the restaurant. There was a little line and wait. They had a waiting area outside. We waited about 10 minutes. Fun fact: the outside garden is fresh produce they use in their dishes. We were seated and got our food. We shared a large margarita pizza. We also shared a burrata tomato appetizer. The food was so good. I loved the pizza and thin crust.

This place is awesome!! Highly recommend, everything here was great!! I came on a Tuesday with friends and it was pretty busy. I'm not sure if they take reservations. Since I met my friends there, they already had seats so I'm not sure how long they waited. There is a parking lot! The ambiance is moody and dark, a fire place and bar area too. I decided to try the Cab blend wine and also ordered the Autunalle pizza. It was AMAZING, I LOVED the sweet potatoe ricotta and fig. The entire pizza was just superb. The wine was great too! Definitely recommend this spot!

My husband and I have a knack for wandering into random pizza places without a reservation, grabbing 2 seats at the bar, and proceeding to have the best pizza of our lives (ok, I lied. This has only happened one other time...in Lancaster, PA). The Parlor exceeded expectations on many fronts. We came here after a fine day in Sedona last weekend and started with the Sloe & Steady and ...at this point I forget what hubs had, but both were unique and very good. The bar had 4-5 very rambunctious humans which was fine, but altered the vibe a little. Our bartender was awesome, friendly, prompt and helpful. I got the autunalle pizza and it was hands down one of the top 5 pizzas I've ever eaten. The flavors (the sweet potato ricotta was mind-blowing), the cook-to-perfection...I didn't want it to end! Hubs had the margherita and added pepperoni which was also fantastic. He got the slice of chocolate cake and honestly that was a pretty big disappointment. But, the homemade cream/icing was pretty ok. Should have opted for the tiramisu. Highly recommend a visit to the Parlor (but grab a reservation!)

I think this was my 5th or 6th time coming here in the past year, and each time is such a wonderful dining experience. I love the food, love the service, love the atmosphere. Apart from the food already being very good (specifically the Diavolina pizza....oh my god, perfection!), the restaurant layout, aesthetic, and ambiance is what really sets this place apart. Its casual, yet elevated vibe is perfect for a date night setting, or even just a nice family night out. Highly recommend trying it out if you haven't already, and as far as food recommendations go: obviously the Diavolina, but also try the Pappardelle pasta and Funghi pizza. Both winners in my book!

I love this place. Had lunch here on Sunday with my oldest. We shared the Caesar salad, autunelle pizza (sad to report it's now retired for the season - spring/summer variation up next), and both banana trifle and chocolate cake to wrap things up because why not. The salad was good, the pizza was delicious, the desserts sublime. Love the green tea from local provider Passport Coffee &Tea. Our server was excellent, professional and had great timing. The restaurant slowly filled in and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I wouldn't mind some additional pasta options that perhaps included cacio e pepe or a carbonara, but that's specific to me and not a gripe with the restaurant We'll be back!

Would give 6 stars if I could! Start to finish, great service, great food, great vibes. Zero complaints, everything was standout. Pizza and pasta were delicious, the garden crudite board was next level with most things thoughtfully roasted and two delicious dips, could have been a full on meal in and of itself. Only regret is not ordering more pizza to go and have for later. See photos! Love the concrete block motif carried throughout, from the original facade through to block pattern stamps on the walls and receipt clipboards.

Very cute Italian restaurant in the Biltmore area with a great expresso martini and available options of pizza, salad, pastas, wine and cocktails. Nice outside dining area, great for a lowkey date. The hot honey Diablo pizza was fantastic, great wood fired pizza.

Our dinner at the Parlor was fantastic. The weather allowed us to sit in the patio and enjoy our meal. Our server was wonderful and attentive, all staff seemed very friendly. We tried the golden beet salad and loved it. It was light and full of flavor. The roasted cauliflower was yummy, enjoyed with the crispy buttery bread it came it. I would add the Calabrian chili next time. We tried the funghi and the spicy Florentine pizzas. Both were cooked to perfection with crispy crust. I am obsessed with the spicy Florentine!! It has such a great amount of flavor and I really liked the bread crumbs on it. Overall a wonderful spot for a dinner date! They do have happy hour which offers $2 off apps and pizzas (and other things I can't remember). Definitely will be back soon!!

Stopped in for dinner/happy hour before a movie on a Friday night. The place was packed but thankfully we were able to get a table inside for 2 no problem! Our server was incredibly friendly and prompt. We each got a few beers/glasses of wine off the happy hour menu. I enjoyed the Tempranillo they have on the menu. The appetizers we got were great. You have to get the noble bread to get with the burrata! The calamari was not too fried which I appreciated. I loved the pizza and the pasta we got as well. I think this is a great option in the area and wish we had tried it sooner! We will definitely be coming back.

I love the parlor! I've been several times for dinner and it's always great. Most recently I got the chicken parmesan but had over the radiatori pasta per the waitresses suggestion. The pasta was perfect! I liked the chicken also but it really needed more sauce. The pizza here is always solid and I love the ambience and cute patio.

Solid lunch spot! If you are looking for a place in Phoenix that balances a cool atmosphere with food that is executed well, The Parlor is a great bet. Logistics & Vibe: First off, major points for the dedicated parking lot. It's a stand-alone building--which used to be a beauty salon in the 1950s (hence the name)--so you get this cool, retro history rather than a generic strip mall feel. We arrived around 12:30 PM on a Wednesday and it was comfortably busy (about 50% capacity). The interior has a great mood with dimmed lighting; it feels upscale but approachable. The Food: I know this place is locally famous for its wood-fired pizzas (specifically the Salsiccia), but we decided to go against the grain and try the entrees. We were not disappointed. * Focaccia (4.25/5): Note that this is a paid side on the menu, not complimentary bread service--but do not skip it. It is excellent and absolutely worth the extra charge. * Chicken Milanese (4/5): A "must try" if you want something lighter but satisfying. The breading was crispy and light, not oily. The greens were incredibly fresh--likely clipped from their on-site garden--and the sauce balanced everything perfectly. * Pappardelle Bolognese (4/5): This features a tangy, bright red sauce rather than a deep, slow-simmered ragu (my usual preference), but it was cooked well with plenty of ground meat. Pro-Tip: They offer this in "Small" and "Large" sizes. I ordered the small and found it to be a perfectly reasonable, filling portion for lunch. The Service: We were seated immediately. I was catching up with friends I hadn't seen in ages, and our server read the table perfectly. They were attentive but gave us plenty of "space" to converse without rushing us. That kind of emotional intelligence in service is rare. Verdict: A reliable spot for a business lunch or a meetup where you actually want to hear each other talk. Good food, cool history, and smart portion sizes. I'll be back.

Tiramisu Docile

What a fantastic restaurant! A group of friends from Italy picked this spot for pizza, and I was honestly a bit hesitant--authentic pizza can be tough to come by around here. But I was completely blown away. The pizza was delightfully thin, packed with flavor, and perfectly balanced. The spicy Calabrian chilies paired beautifully with the rich salami, creating a bold yet refined taste. I was eager to try the appetizers, but the group was laser-focused on pizza--no complaints there! We did make room for dessert, though, and the tiramisu was outstanding: soft, creamy, and decadently satisfying. The gelato was absolutely wonderful and creamy!! The service was attentive, and the atmosphere warm and inviting. Already looking forward to my next visit!

It's covered, pet-friendly, and thoughtfully designed with fireplaces and privacy walls that give each table a more intimate feel. There's even an outdoor bar where you can grab a drink while you wait or just enjoy the atmosphere. Inside, the décor is incredibly creative. Butcher knives and custom cutting boards line the walls, and the open kitchen showcases hanging meats so you can see everything in action. The bakery area adds another layer of charm, with rolling pins and whisks hanging from the ceiling, it all feels intentional and immersive without being over the top. The menu is just as fun and different as the space itself. I started with the Sicilian wedge and then had to go for what they're known for, the handcrafted meatballs. You can mix and match meatballs with different pastas, but the real showstopper is the "meatball carousel." It lets you sample multiple meatballs with their recommended sauces, all presented on an elaborate Ferris wheel-style display that turns heads across the restaurant. It's a full experience, not just a meal. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. What truly made the night, though, was our server, Mia. She struck that perfect balance of fun and professional, engaging, attentive, and genuinely enjoyable to interact with. She guided us through the menu, made great recommendations, and brought a level of energy that elevated the entire experience. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, and it shows. For dessert, we went with the traditional Sicilian cannoli stuffed with Nutella and a lemon tart that was so good I'd honestly consider flying back just to have it again. The only thing I was bummed about is that I love their marinara so much that I wanted to get the rigatoni with marinara as my side. However, they don't allow you to sub the sauce. It came with vodka sauce and I'm not a fan of that, so I opted for the side salad. Wish they'd allow you to sub the sauce. After dinner, we went next door to the Sicilian Baker and ordered an array of treats. Their tiramisu is a must! The kitchen is usually the highlight. With an Italian chef behind it, everything leans fresh and well executed--pizzas consistently shine, and the salads are just as strong. This time, though, the bolognese was a miss. The pasta was clearly overcooked, which stood out given how reliable the food typically is--felt more like an off night than the norm. The wine-by-the-glass list is solid and approachable, and the many awards feel well deserved overall. A diverse staff adds to the cosmopolitan yet relaxed atmosphere. There are a number of shade trees here, plus they have umbrellas, fans, and misters to keep it comfortable. It *may* be possible to sit inside as well, but this would likely require a reservation much further out than ours. The outside dining area was packed the whole time we were there. The outside tables were relatively comfortable when we ate here. They moved an umbrella over to block the setting sun for about 20 minutes, which was great. It looked like they had a musician tuning up her guitar but she had not started before we left. The menu featured selections of pastas, pizzas, and salads. We sampled 3 pizzas, all of which were good. As we were travelling and flying out the next morning, 2 of us split one, which was perfect for not having leftovers. The 4 in our group also sampled an appetizer composed of a fried rice ball with cheese. I was skeptical, but it was actually good. Parking is on-street, as there did not appear to be a dedicated lot for the restaurant itself. There is a variety of seating available, including outside and at the bar--bar has an inside section as well as outside which is a nice design for the lovely weather days. However, it's unfortunate that the outdoor seating is on such a busy traffic corner, so it's not the little retreat it would otherwise be. The lunchtime music was more like happy hour music, not conducive to conversation--maybe for the cellphones-at-the -table crowd it's okay, but being near the Phoenix Art Museum and Arizona Opera, why not add to the cultural experience of the area by celebrating its Italian origins with some Italian music? Even if just added as interludes during every few pieces, it would enhance the ambiance. We had to raise our voices to carry on our conversation, but it was manageable. However, when I came back the next week with a friend with a hearing impairment, it became more problematic. She tried adjusting her hearing aids, but the thumping rhythm kept taking precedence as we tried to find a quieter corner, but it wasn't possible as it is a small space and speakers were close to each table. I felt so bad that she couldn't enjoy a meal there--we both were so looking forward to having a fresh pasta dish, but just couldn't stay. Upon leaving, I felt I should let management know why so I waited to speak to him, offering constructive criticism about the sound level but he was not the least apologetic nor said he would take it under advisement, but was completely dismissive and harrumphy as though we were annoying problems and not potential regulars with suggestions worthy of consideration. How hard would it be to have a quieter area or make a speaker accessible with volume control? People, whether on the spectrum, with hearing impairments, or just lovers of good conversation deserve respect and when it is not given, will go elsewhere....
