Absolutely the best brunch spot in Humboldt county! The owner is sweet as can be, the ambiance is always wonderful, the food and drink are to DIE for! So lucky to have such an amazing local spot. You won't ever leave hungry

Great service, tasty food. Pretty good coffee. Highly recommend the breakfast burrito or the turkey sandwich.

Beniettes, chocolate and raspberry. Highly recommend, they were absolutely perfect.

Great, responsive service. The food was fresh, perfectly balanced, and tasty and menu original. If you are ever in Eureka this is a must stop for breakfast.

Definitely my favorite place to Dine out at. Great food, full bar, inviting dining area with chairs & possibly the longest comfy bench I've ever seen. I usually get either a Rooster, Philly, Benny or Breakfast Burrito. I really dig their Ranch & they have a nice selection of Hot Sauces too There's also an upstairs that can be rented out for larger private parties that mimics the style from downstairs with windows looking down over the downstairs dining room

Stopped by recently for breakfast one morning, the place was busy so I sat at the bar since I was solo. Service was slow at best, they gave away or mis sent my breakfast to someone else? Then literally ignored me. My order was simple, avocado toast with fruit and a coffee - then had someone sit beside me ten minutes later and they got their meal a solid ten minutes before me and not until I asked my server at the bar about my food. There was no apology or even an acknowledgement, it was at least obvious to me - my patronage was not valued. Even another customer said something to the server about my meal being overlooked. Crowded on the weekends is an understatement. Even getting a coffee refill was like an act of god. A casual popular eatery with a center isle of tables and chairs with wall of booths and a bar with seats. A high ceiling makes the place very loud to blaring noisy. Maybe it was a bad day? or maybe its just the normal there but it was not worth the time, energy or effort. A single piece of avocado toast with seriously four slices of avo and a cup of coffee took over an hour? My food was okay but overlooked and wrong, ordered fruit and got spuds and its avocado on a piece of toast its not that complicated. Then after getting passed over and having to reask for my food, at almost $20 bucks and its wrong... after an extended wait - the 2 stars is being generous. Was not impressed, felt disregarded and like my eating there was a secondary thought and an inconvenience to my server. As such cannot recommend, and will most likely not return. 2 Stars - a disappointment 00906

What a fun place! It's like a mini vacation from the outside world. The hostess rocked, and my server was a total pro. I ordered an Aperol spritz, and it was like a little taste of heaven. Then, I went for a mimosa that hit the spot. The avocado toast could've been better, but the fruit and potatoes were a nice surprise. I'll be back for more good vibes!

Wow! I absolutely loved this place, which is both historic and new. We started with the mimosa flight. Plenty to share!!! I can't believe I'm saying this - but the ratio of juice to alcohol is a little light. I got the 50-50 and loved it. Both classic Benny and Backwoods Benny. Eggs cooked perfectly and loved both sauces. The Hubbs got the meatloaf and eggs. All was good!!! Service was excellent.

    Breakfast potato vegan (not really)

I was excited to see vegan dishes on the menu. However, the breakfast potato had a strong taste of meat. Sure enough, they grill vegan stuff on the same grill.. albeit on one side I was told. But looks like the juices of the meat certainly made its way to the 'vegan' dishes..

French onion soup on a cold day plus a small caprese salad is beautiful and delicious!

Do they have many gluten free options?

The crab cakes "breading" is gluten free, or used to be. Ask to make sure it still is.

I pulled up, and the lady comes out to talk to me, she asked me if I had been there before and I said I didn't. She said take a look at the menu, and I will come back to you. It turns out she was going back-and-forth between being the cashier, and taking orders. If they had a box, it wasn't working. I decided to go with the pulled pork sandwich on a baguette, I chose all of the veggies, with no cheese or avocado, which was extra price. I requested the barbecue sauce, which was the non-spicy version. The sandwich was excellent. The baguette was a very high-quality roll, the pulled pork was savory, and all of the veggies were nice and crisp. The barbecue sauce tasted like it was a vinegar based, and it had a great "Tang" to it. It provided a nice pop of acid to offset the richness of the pulled pork. I could only finish half of my sandwich, and I had the other half for dinner. The sandwich came out to $14 and change after tax, , which was reasonable for such a good sandwich. The reason I'm taking off a star, is because of the wait time. The wait time from when I pulled up till when I pulled out with my sandwich was roughly 15 minutes. That's quite a wait for a sandwich. You can order ahead online, but you still have to wait in the line to pick up your food. They do delivery, but they only do one delivery run a day at 11 AM, and so you have to get your order in on time. They shouldn't have the person running back-and-forth between being cashier, and taking orders as well. Maybe have another person taking orders. Hopefully the next time I come back, the wait won't be so long. I wish these guys would get a "brick-and-mortar." They would do very well. Thank you!

The place was pretty busy at 8pm and we sat outside since we had our pup with us. I ordered 3 oysters as an app. I had just read that Humboldt Bay provided a large percentage of the oysters consumed in CA and NV so figured I should order some since we're so close to the source! I was surprised when I slurped it down and it was warm but they were delicious and the sauce on top was very flavorful. (That was my fault for not reading the description well enough; I'm just accustomed to eating oysters chilled) For entree's, I went with the Polenta Veghie lasagna and my husband ordered the Italian Mac n cheese. Both dishes were very good and very filling. I loved the crust of the polenta and the eggplant and cheese filling was delicious. The vibe is exactly what you want from a coastal brewery--casual, beachy, relaxed, and just the right amount of bar energy. I ordered the French dip, which was delicious and piping hot, although it was a little saltier than I prefer. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos, and apparently they were so good that I am now concerned about the stability of my marriage. He literally declared that he was leaving me for the chef. I guess the tacos were that good. The shrimp tacos came with fresh, flavorful salsa that really stood out, and everything arrived hot and quickly. Our server absolutely was friendly, attentive, and FAST--which we very much appreciated. Getting the check however took FOREVER! I think our server went out to lunch. :/ And the beer selection on tap? Lots of choices, and everything was served perfectly. Just keep an eye on your spouse if they order the shrimp tacos. Apparently that's where things get dangerous.
