I LOVE this place. I have been trying to come here and it was well worth the wait. I love the service. Everyone knew the menu and was accommodating they treat you like you are family or something. I enjoyed the food. they have a cute little gift shop and again their menu is truly unique. I don't think you can find a place like this. After we left we went on the trail and walked off the calories. I highly recommend this place!!! read more

The toughest part of dining at The Barn is deciding what to order! Everything looks and sounds amazing! I got the Special French Toast, which, on this particular day, was French toasted-Belgian waffles topped with salted caramel apples. OMG, was it delicious! Service is friendly and atmosphere is casual and scenic, as the restaurant sits right on Grant's Trail. Do yourself a favor and walk your breakfast off on the trail afterward if it's a nice day, because you'll definitely leave feeling stuffed! read more

We have been wanting to try this place for a long time. It did not disappoint. We came for breakfast. I got the ham eggs Benedict my wife, but got a quiche. They were cooked to perfection. The flavors were amazing. The service was very nice and pleasant and fast. We will definitely be coming back here. Can't believe we waited so long. read more

Portion sizes and quality were great. I hate ordering quiche to only get a sliver! Not here! Great portion sizes. The property is beautiful, sit on the covered deck to get nice views. Manager came over to make sure when it started raining that we were still comfortable. Friend got the crawfish Benedict, I want that next time! read more

A great setting with yummy breakfast food. Usually busy so you need patience. Have been back many times.

The Barn is so unique - located in a public park in Sappington with amazing food and great service. We went for brunch and sat in the patio (highly recommend). I had the chicken salad sandwich, which is served on a moist wheat berry bread. Pro tip: It's always busy - put yourself on the wait list well before you arrive. read more

This place was cute! Service was great, food was yummy ! I loooved the Strata, very good - especially with some hot sauce (which they have on the tables) The Belgian French toast waffle was delicious as well, glad we got the s'mores topping on the side though! The Barn is a little brunch place off Grants Trail that has big ideas! If you love eggs Benedict, just go ahead and come on in because you have 6-7 varieties! Their Cajun style items and rooster sauce is mouth watering. I had the Delta- artichokes, Cajun Hollandaise, sautéed spinach and English muffin! (I had it made with scrambled eggs due to a dietary reason) and I left a very happy pregnant lady!! This is not my first visit either. My first time I enjoyed the Ragin Cajun eggs Benedict and my mouth still waters thinking about it. There are other breakfast items and several lunch options too. 10/10 would come back again and again! My only wish would be to have more specialty coffees besides just regular brewed- maybe iced or a mocha. But it didn't stop me! We arrived on a Saturday at 10:40am and had a party of 5 and maybe waited 30 minutes. Staff was attentive and kept our drinks refilled and friendly even with how slammed they were! Plan to take a while to find parking! Tight but there is a school across the street many use! read more

I decided to check out The Barn, which wasn't far from my doctor's office. I was very pleased with the view and atmosphere - it felt like a cozy summer cottage! They had a variety of pastries, however I was surprised to find that there weren't any omelets on the breakfast menu. The staff were kind enough to make one for me, though! I will come back. Their lunch menu looks pretty promising. They did have a nice selection of benedicts for all you runny egg fans!! It's perplexing that this breakfast place doesn't even offer omelets on the breakfast menu. Nevertheless, I could be too hard on them. The food was delicious, and the service was on point. I will be back. They could have denied my wish for an omelet. That would have been fine too, but they didn't. That made me feel like a valued customer. read more

The food was amazing, the cocktails were great, and the service was friendly and very attentive. It is a cool, little place to go for brunch, and they have a nice little shop upstairs. They move you in and out fast so don't go to have a leisurely conversation with friends, BUT when you are waiting for a table you will appreciate it. Our wait time was posted as 45 minutes but we waited only 15 for our party of 6. read more

So, I REALLY wanted to love this place, not just like it, but love it! The reviews seem on par with the kind of locally owned joint I would to support. That said, I didn't love it. I mean, it wasn't terrible, but the food was fairly basic. Of course, I ordered a basic meal but my wife didn't. The so-so parts: The food. I ordered "The Barn" which is a traditional breakfast: eggs, bacon, toast, and something called tater tot casserole. The hands down best offering of an order of bacon I've been given when eating out. I like extra, extra crispy and they nailed it! Most places are too shy to actually make it as crispy as I like...not The Barn. So bravo to that! The eggs were just scrambled eggs...meh. The tater tot casserole was a let down to me. Seemed like mashed up tater tots with a few specks of cheese. I didn't eat mine, but my wife loved her, she thought it was great! So...make her happy and I'm happy! I also ordered a side of tomato. (Planning on a make it yourself bacon and tomato sandwich.) They should ha e said we aren't serving tomatoes today because what came out was inedible. Seriously inedible. It was hard as a rock. I took one bite and left it in my napkin. If you can't find tomatoes in season or in a greenhouse it's probably better to not serve and charge customers $3 for inedible produce. My wife ordered the Ho-Ham version of eggs Benedict. Again, just not impressive. The ham was tough and she didn't eat the second Benedict. She did enjoy her tater tot casserole and cheese grits though, so that was a win. The reason I'm torn between 4-5 stars? The service. THE SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! The team works together seamlessly to provide their guests with attentive and friendly service throughout their meal. Just a great army to start a Sunday morning. Everyone was smiling and helpful and always quick with a refill on coffee. So...all in all The Barn is definitely worth visiting! I will be back, just might try something on the lunch menu this time. read more

Broad selection of eggs Benedict. Fantastic flavors and kitchen willing to accommodate food sensitivities. Recommend

I've had this place on my list for awhile. Hubby and I were out and about so we stopped in. The wait was quoted as 20-30 minutes, but ended up being quite a bit longer. Once I was inside I understood why. This place is tiny. Very little seating. We were at a two seater table and I didn't love that it was right on the corner everyone comes around so people were very close to us moving through the dining room. They had a list of specials that looked great. Hubby ordered one and really enjoyed it! It was a special steak benedict kind of item. I was torn between the Strata and a quiche special they had that day. I ordered the strata because - have you seen it?! It looks divine. But I didn't love the texture, it felt mushy and very bready which I wasn't quite expecting. Sadly I also didn't love my grits, they were an odd texture too. Service was average, they appeared to be short staffed. It was a long time between check-ins, even when we were tying to pay and leave. At the end of the day I was a bit surprised to have left here with a $60 breakfast... and we didn't even have drinks except for Hubby's coffee. read more

I had a wonderful experience here the other day with my boyfriend. One this location is so pretty on a sunny spring day. It is off an 8ish mile bike trail. Across from a cemetery. And is located next to the Sappington House which is a museum. Also down the hill behind the Barn is the Reflection pond. Very cute area. Although we did need to wait around 20 minutes to be seated, it must be a very busy place. Especially for brunch. They close at 2pm on the weekends. They have up shower curtains to be COVID friendly. Our waitress, Taylor, was wonderful and super friendly. Not only with us but with the whole staff. Everyone got along well with one another. I ordered mimosas which were good as my boyfriend had his soda. For brunch I ordered the Texan. It was so bomb. I totally recommend. The brisket on it was the best I've ever had. My boyfriend ordered the barn burger with bacon and cheese. He enjoyed it. The harsh browns or barn browns as they call it, were different. Not my favorite but they weren't bad. Upstairs is also a gift shop. Very cute, with little knickknacks. Jams, honey, cream, sewed things, statues, plates etc. All in all we had a great time and will be returning. read more

Super fun concept- they do a sort of team service where everyone takes care of you, and that was really cool. It was fun to have brunch in a "barn" atmosphere. Good burger, good breakfast, no complaints! read more

Food was pretty yummy. Lots of good choices. Servers were sweet but a little chaotic. 3 different people asking our drinks and greeting us. You could tell it was a family run place, just could be smoother. Place isn't the most polished but would go again! read more

Good food, excellent service and a great atmosphere. Went there for brunch and got the Eastern Shore Benedict: toasted English Muffin, two delicious homemade blue crab cakes, two poached eggs all covered in rich hollandaise sauce! The best breakfast in St. Louis and it's not even close. Cool place great service as well. We will be back!

First time for breakfast. I was greeted by a friendly hostess who took my name. I had to wait 20 minutes. I chose to sit inside. They also have a heated patio but some people looked cold. I was only at my table for 30 seconds when my smiling waitress arrived. Her smile made me smile so thank you! I chose the half order of the biscuits and gravy and a half order of the French toast and a small orange juice. My order arrived very quickly which was nice. My biscuits and gravy were hot but the French toast was luke warm which was disappointing. The sausage gravy was seasoned nicely and it wasn't salty which was great. The biscuit was warm and flaky. Excellent biscuits and gravy. The French toast was good but not excellent. The syrup was served warm which was nice. Excellent service by my waitress! Very cozy restaurant. I'll definitely come back and try the quiche. Shout out to the restaurant for supplying their waiters and waitresses with mobile devices to place orders and accept payment table side. I notice the efficiency these provide. read more

This is such a great restaurant! The service is friendly and quick, and the view from the brick patio where we sat was lovely. The strawberry mimosas were really good! I had the pancakes and Barn browns (hash browns), and my husband had the Barn burger. Everything was delicious. Very good nice atmosphere but prices are high. Try it worth your time . Eat inside or outside.

Lengthy Waits, especially in poor weather can be a bothersome. And likely on a Saturday or Sunday brunch time visit. During nice weather, enjoy the park like setting in the back or BYOB and sit on a park bench along the walking path adjacent to the parking lot. Once in, the bustling bar serves great pours and simple and also more interesting takes on classic brunch drink staples. Good, home style , yet also interesting food comes out of the kitchen in reasonable time...slow enough to allow your to "brunch" but also not so long that you begin wondering when you are getting your food. Also, and a feel terrible for misplacing her name, but our waitress was fun, friendly, and helpful to a large party that included several kids too. read more

The service is good. Very busy. The food is very good. We ate inside and quit nosey. Also have eaten outside in the summer. Nice atmosphere quieter. You may need to wait very busy during brunch time. Unique menu they have a lot of different things on their menu Example:Avocado toast. A great place to eat, especially when we take guests out. read more

We joined the waitlist before we got here since we knew it would be busy. Definitely advise to join the waitlist ahead of time, and check out the gift shop upstairs before you eat! The place itself is small and kind of crammed, so be aware of that. The wait staff/servers rotate around so we had a few different people helping us out. Everyone was fantastic and I had a good experience until the checkout process, where the woman helping us pay and clean up was kind of rude and kept going in and out of our table while we were trying to pay on our own on her device, where it kept changing screens and malfunctioning. Other than that I enjoyed my first time here, and I'd come back again! read more

a delicious and quaint stop for a classic all American breakfast! The Barn was a perfect choice a brunch spot and the atmosphere was very welcoming. It is a smaller restaurant so if you plan to enjoy with a bigger group o would recommend arriving earlier. The staff were all very kinda and patient as we took our time to order. We both got the Barn Breakfast with fruit instead of meat and thought it was wonderful. I truly do not think anything you order there would be bad. The gift shop upstairs was also a wonderful addition to toot around. Definitely recommend and will be returning! read more

Every time I visit The Barn, I enjoy my meal! Consistently delicious, fresh and creative selections!

Beautiful Sunday, a break in the weather and opted to check this place out after months on the Bookmarks. Arrived around 11a and this place was jammed pack. It's a small restaurant, so standing outside to wait was the only option. If it had been colder, would have had to leave. Our wait for party of 2 was quoted at 40 min,but took 30. Opted for the Strata, gravy on the side, with Barn Browns (hash browns). The time for the food to come out was rather quick. Pleasantly surprised. The Strata was amazing! Seasoned well, portion for price was fair and temperature was perfect. Glad I got the sausage gravy on the side because it needed salt. Once that was squared away, it was a great accompaniment to the Strata. The Barn Browns...meh. There wasn't much too them and they were too crispy. Overall, pretty good experience and it's definitely popular. read more

This place was adorable and delicious! My hubs and I got there around 9am and were lucky to get the last table available outside. The view outdoors looks out to a grass lawn and cute little pond. I got the "Eastern Shore" Benedict. Highly recommend! It was a lot of crab and the poached egg was cooked perfectly. The English muffins are big and fluffy. It comes with a sauce that was really flavorful. I got browns as my side and they are cut so thin! I loved that because they were just the right amount of crunch without taking away from a good hash brown flavor. YUM! My husband got the cheeseburger with bacon and chips. He really enjoyed it and said it was "perfectly juicy." We also shared the bread pudding and WOW! What a tasty way to end our meal. The service was stellar. Highly recommend this place. We'll be back for sure! My recommendation is try and get there early if you can. By the time we were leaving there was a line out the door. We understand why!! read more

The food was cooked perfectly and they are so nice! I had the crab cake eggs benedict and it was so good.

In a Covid-19 world, The Barn does a good job of serving customers and keeping people safe. We sat on the patio for brunch on Sunday. The wait time for a table was minimal and there were a good deal of shaded tables outside. I opted for the Barn breakfast with a biscuit and sausage. The biscuit was one of the best I've ever had. The sausage is served in egg-sized nuggets. It had great flavor but was slightly overdone. I also had the opportunity to try my daughter's Ho-Ham benedict. It was also very delicious. My son had pancakes and thought them a bit dry, but the bacon was excellent. Overall, the Barn is a cute brunch spot--a bit pricy, but very enjoyable in this crazy world. read more

What an adorable space. The rustic atmosphere and decor most certainly fit the menu, which was largely comfort food. My husband ordered the burger, which was nothing special. The food and service was great. Liked the ambience. A quaint place to eat I would enjoy going back.

First time here. It was a wonderful experience for me. We arrived around 1130 a.m. and was promptly seated. Note that when we left there was a line out the door. I did see online that you can join the waitlist before you get there so I would highly suggest trying to do that. We had our choice of breakfast or lunch. That was a tough decision because it was lunchtime, but I love a good breakfast. I decided to get the strata with hashbrowns, $13. I definitely made the right choice. The Strata was a Baked Concoction of Eggs, Bread, Sausage, Cheese & Green Onions... Topped with Sausage Gravy! This was absolutely delicious. So tasty and different from what I normally eat for breakfast. The hashbrowns were absolutely perfect and very crispy. Just how I like them. My friend ordered the half gumbo and half chicken salad sandwich. She said the gumbo was delicious and very flavorful. She didn't quite care for the chicken salad. Maybe it was the type of bread that they used that she didn't like. It had like berries in the bread. I tasted it and I thought it was OK. But nothing compared to my meal. I am kicking myself because when it came, it looks so darn good, I just started eating it and totally forgot to take a picture of it. I don't think I saw any strata pictures on here. If you go there, try it out you will not be disappointed. For the dining you had your choice of sitting inside or out on the patio. We did eat inside, but we're right next to the patio. It looked beautiful out there with lots of flowers and they had some fans going to make it not as hot. The upstairs had a little gift shop. We did not make it up there, but it was a nice bonus. read more

The bacon is the best! Thick and chewy and perfectly cooked. Ambiance is outstanding. Love the view of the lake and fountain. My husband ordered the Barn Breakfast and loved everything about it. My ham and cheese quiche was very tasty, but a lot of the ham was overcooked. Great hash browns. My only real complaint was the coffee, which should be top notch in a breakfast restaurant. The flavor was mediocre at best and the cups are so large, maybe so they won't need refilling as often, that the coffee temperature became lukewarm very quickly, resulting in bitter coffee. Other than that, service was excellent and I'd definitely recommend it. read more
