Always a great brunch spot! Love the food and atmosphere. Small menu but they do everything 10/10. You can't go without getting a Benedict... Specifically the pork belly one. It's on top of corn bread and will change your life.

Great food. Service was excellent. We got here at about eleven on a Tuesday morning and were seated quickly. The server was attentive and very helpful. Had a salmon omelet, mussels and grits, French toast, and the cornbread Benedict. All of the meals were excellent.

I came here for brunch with my Dad, bonus mom and sister because I saw they had a frozen espresso martini, and I have to try it. They had a small weight but nothing too long maybe five minutes and then we were seated. This place is small, but cute and the service was great. I loved the frozen espresso martini and the food was cooked to perfection. Next time I'm home I will visit.

Egg is the perfect name for this Benton Park spot. Eggs as a food staple seem simple and straightforward, but they're almost magical in all of the ways they can be used. From the outside, Egg the restaurant looks unassuming, but the moment you open the door and see the lovely and interesting decor and smell the aromas from the kitchen, you know it is something special as well. The owner is very welcoming, as if he is inviting you to his home, which is lovely. We ordered the Chakchouka with merguez and the ojja with shrimp. Both were completely delicious. I added a turmeric latte, which was unique and so warming. There are so many more items on the menu I want to try, so I know I'll be back soon--but it'll be hard for Mr not to order the ojja again; it was so good!

I'm obsessed with Egg. I frequent both locations. When I am looking for some great food to help me feel happy, Egg is one of the first thoughts that comes in my mind. I love bringing people here. I always get great service and the food comes out fast. There is commonly plenty of room at the bar, if you can't get a table. One thing that I like about this location is the look of the place - it's small, but the artistic nature of it is visually pleasing.

It was so delicious! I can't wait to go back and try something else on menu. It all looked and smelled incredible.

Lovely service from a great server who gave my party a complimentary shot of the good stuff. We came at a great time when it wasn't busy, enjoyed ourselves and the delicious food. Will go again, and again, and again. The Best Brunch Spot in STL

I got brunch at this place recently with a friend on a Sunday morning around 10. She had the mahi-mahi Benedict and I had the cornbread pork belly Benedict. Neither one disappointed. I'm not a big fan of breakfast potatoes but I do love theirs for some reason. Our server was also the bartender and while he wasn't super friendly, he was attentive and took care of everything we needed. The only minus to this place is they don't have a solid host game. When you walk in, no one tends to pay attention or come over to seat you. I walked and waited for a few minutes, then walked up to the bar and asked if bar was open seat seating and he said no sorry though please wait to be seated sign isn't up. He seemed slightly annoyed that I even asked, but I had been standing there for a few minutes and I know he saw me. He immediately said to me at a table, but the people behind me were all still just standing there and he did not even address them. I get it. He was kind of the only one available, but I would at least yell to the people at the front, I'll be right with you so they at least feel acknowledged.

Tostadas with chorizo. The Verda sauce on top was spicy but once mixed in with the beans and egg yolk mellowed to just a flavorful spice.

Brunch after Tower grove market. A easy drive from the park. Sign/location a little difficult to see from the street. Cosy seating. Aztec art. Service was friendly and quick with seating, drinks and food. Meals ordered- tostadas, pulled pork hash and French toast. The French toast was fluffy and sweet and a great chase to the more spiced and savory items.

Ask about the special! Shrimp and grits was not on the menu but it was an eggceptional special. The shrimp were cooked perfectly but could use 2 more pieces. It's flavorful and slightly spicy. My first visit but not the last. All the dishes that came out were a big portion. The service was good. There is no cold/ice coffee. They serve alcohol with bar seating. A bit small, not best for a large party. They opened at 9am and full by 10.

I've loved egg for years! The food genuinely is so good. The menu isn't huge but everything is a big hit. The pancakes are super buttery and I love the fresh fruit. First time trying the cornbread Benedict and it's so flavorful. I love the service. Owner walks around and makes sure everyone is happy.

We went on a Wed morning based on the reviews, and was not disappointed. The weekday menu is different from the weekend menu. We were the only ones there and the service was attentive and served quickly but cooked to order. I felt like I was eating breakfast in Mexico with the decoration and food. The homemade pancakes were the best I've had Good size portions - we didn't leave hungry!

Out of the norm kind of place built on what used to be industrial I imagine. You walk in and immediately your sense go wild. The 'food smells' were alluring and hit my endorphins like a Mike Tyson punch. Bam!!! The food was amazing I had the corn bread Benedict. Delish! Kids had scrambled eggs and bacon. Def amazing bacon. My other daughter had the tostado and really enjoyed it. To not off with Mexican Coles and we have a winner. The only down side was the service. The waitress basically ignored us after she took the order... literally. I tried to get her attention for ketchup, napkins, a refill of my first coffee. Eventually had to wave down another. It wasn't that busy where I would ignore it. The food outweighed the service so I am still giving it 5 stars.

This place is amazing. Great vibes , drinks and the food is out of this world. I would post a picture of the food but I ate it too quickly.

This was a very cute brunch spot for breakfast…read more Unfortunately, during my visit, my party had a poor experience with their customer service. One guest in my party had a food allergy and informed the waitress. And when the food was brought out, their food included an item that they were allergic to. The waitress brought the item back to the kitchen, and we could audibly hear the chef in the kitchen, making remarks about the food being returned. And that it's the customers responsibility to inform the staff of allergies (which we had done). There was no compensation or apology given for this poor service experience and miscommunication. This was a very unfortunate experience because the food and other items we tried were very delicious. I hope in the future they will provide a better experience, especially for guests who have food allergies.

I had seen a lot of reviews raving about Milque Toast, and it has been on my "want to try" list…read moreever since it opened. I was excited to give it a shot with my partner one day for a late brunch. We had just missed the morning rush, because the place was mostly empty. The hostess sat us and, when I asked about the interesting appliances on the wall, she told me about the history of the building with obvious, well-deserved pride. The seat we got was directly over an air vent, and it was freezing, so we moved to a different table. I asked for a hot dirty chai latte and the server seemed confused. I realized they only had iced chai on the menu, and despite how chilly I was, I decided to try it because I love a good dirty chai latte. My partner and I both got one, and it was disappointing -- way more milk than tea or espresso, without a noticeable caffeine effect. The straws are cool at least. The meal was underwhelming. My partner got the egg cocotte dish, a soupy, oily dish that the server suggested we stir. That left it basically inedible, and most of the egg whites looked super raw. Neither of us had ever had the dish before, so we looked up the proper way to eat it, but it neither looked right nor was to our taste. My partner ate the toast soldiers plain after giving up on trying to dip them in the egg mixture. I got the BEC and asked for ketchup for the potato wedges, which never came. They were more like potato chips anyway. I wasn't wild about the flavor or all the mayo on the sandwich, and I couldn't bring myself to finish it. I would try other dishes from this restaurant because I really wanted to love it. These two dishes, and the dirty chai lattes, just weren't all that great. I'm hoping I can convince my partner to give it another chance with me so I can update this review with something more positive, but it will take a while!
