Was pleasantly surprised by the game room! It had a bunch of pinball machines, skeeball, a big virtual Pac-Man, punching bag game, and more. There was a bar and new clean bathrooms. It connected right to crows nest. A very cool spot!!

Cute drinks! Small hole in the wall pub. Cute pics on the wall. Full menu. Cute drink list . Reasonable prices. Bar staff friendly. Street parking available but it's easier to park across the street on the Schnucks lot and walk across the street. I only ordered a drink called Drop a Bitch which consisted of Deep Eddy Lemon , Raspberry Liqueur and lemonade. It tastes like a snow cone . I hoped it would have been bigger .

Recently tried Crow's Nest again and waited more than 20 minutes hoping to order with the server. Didn't get to order beverages, appetizer or entrees. When we first arrived, a server informed us she would be right back to wipe our table off but she never came back. She greeted another couple who arrived 10 minutes after we did. We went next door to The Post and they waited on us right away! Many tables were dirty. It was loud which is expected on a Friday. Last time we were there service was much better.

Restaurants on this block don't seem to last long. Crow's Nest however has been around for the better part of the decade. And for good reason. It is a testament to how good the dishes are crafted here. Always had gone here for supper and never brunch. Until now. I wasn't concerned because this place has always delivered on deliciousness. Ordered the Ranchero with steak. The fried eggs was made to perfection - not over cooked but not runny. The salsa had a good kick to it. Lucky for me the friend who I was catching up with had a lengthy story which allowed me to eat continuously, while giving non verbal Q's that I was listening. For those that haven't been here, the place has a death metal thematic decor and so are the tunes. But have no fear if you don't like death metal, you can choose to seat outside where the music isn't as loud. If you like death metal, you'd feel at home here. Public parking lot in rear. Post script: mac n cheese with hot chicken is very good on dinner menu and everyone that I've introduced this place to has become a fan instantly.

I met friends for drinks on their heated patio on a cold Tuesday evening. There was lots of space and seating on the patio. Plenty of free parking nearby. I did not see any staff members come out to the patio. Loud metal music was piped into the patio area - I thought it was too loud but that's kind of their thing. They have food but I did not eat this visit.

This is nifty hidden gem! The vibe is cool with the menus being on album covers and the overall theme being semi rock and roll/grunge in my opinion. Food is fantastic and the drinks are good! The staff I'm here is very kind and helpful as I can never make a decision. I have only been a few times but will be back!

Came here for happy hour with coworkers to decompress and chill. The vibes in this place were low key and laid back. There is plenty of parking across the street as well as some parking directly in front, but limited to 2 hours. We sat at the bar. There are also some booths you can sit at. Our server was polite and took care of us right away.I ordered a drop-a-b**** cocktail. It was smooth and gave me a spiked iced tea vibe. I also ordered the honey hot mac and cheese. The chicken was juicy, and delicious, with a crunchy crust. The hot honey was absolutely amazing. The Mac and cheese was cheesy and flavourful. I'm not a fan of blue cheese so i could've done without it, but if you like it, then go for it. There are so many cool little Knick knacks around this place, and they are expanding to the unit next door so they will have some video games. Nice hidden gem in Maplewood!

I went here with a friend last night for drinks. The bar area did not have seats for two people so me and my friend sat at the table. We both got the same type of drinks each. The first drink we got was the drop a B drink, which consists of the sugar rim drink. The second drink was the hedgehog. Which is fruitier than the first thing and tasted lighter in alcohol content. I got the frisco melt sandwich with waffle fries for entree. My friend got their burgers and waffle fries. The food was good here.

This was my first time trying this place and the food was good! Based on what I read from the menu I thought this meal was going to be more on the basic side but I was definitely wrong, there was nothing basic about this dish. Theac and cheese had a deeper flavor profile than other Mac and cheese dishes I've tried. Also the hot honey chicken was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy with a crispy outer layer. The inside of the bar was pretty small and narrow, so it was a bit of a tight squeeze getting to a seat.

Breakfast metal brunch.... Don't get the burger. Absolutely no taste. I had two bites and took it home to my son who eats everything....he took a bite and said, "why is there no taste." Needless to say - $20 in the trash. I feel guilty.

Authentically St. Louis. Littered with pop culture, punk rock, and St. Louis flare this divey haunt serves up some solid eats. When you walk in, the walls are inundated with artwork and an old school movie is on the projector. Menus are printed in old record books. We got some cheese curds and fried pickles to start. The fried pickles are chunked up spears which is amazing. i love fried pickle spears. They were crispy, salty, and still super juicy. Plus, the sauce was wonderful. The cheese curds were just as great. Please, dip them in the tomato jam! It is sweet, savory, and acidic. Absolutely beautiful. The steak sandwich was great as well. A nice ciabatta roll with crispy onions, medium rare steak sliced thin, and some jalapeno cheese sauce. Absolutely wonderful. All of the workers were wonderful. I am not sure if they all share roles, but we did not have just 1 server. Every server would periodically check in, give refills, take orders, etc. Not sure if that is the norm but I thought it was a cool concept to have communal serving. All in all, an amazing spot. Not upscale, not stuffy. Just a welcoming eatery for any and all to enjoy some wonderfully executed bar fare!

We were looking for a brunch spot on a rainy Saturday and ended up on the covered patio at the Crow's Nest for their "Metal Brunch". I had an Irish Coffee to warm me up, and it was standard but hit the spot. I had the Eggs Beni which were just alright. The breaded and fried poached eggs were a bit too much for me, and the fried capers made the dish too salty for my taste, so I ended up trying to avoid them. The hashbrown casserole was good but a much tinier serving than expected, so I wouldn't say they are worth the upcharge. My bf liked his Breakfast Sandwich, and the Brunch Burger sounds good, so we may be back to try it out again at some point.

Salmon BLT - Side House Salad with Worcestershire vinaigrette. Amazing dressing!

I love sitting and eating at the bar here. All sorts of old school decor around the bar/restaurant. It's a lil' dark on the inside and they do have outdoor seating outback. Good music playing usually, too. They have great food, been here a number of times and never disappointed with food or service. Give this place a try - it's worth it!

The place was packed inside and outside (in the rain - there were umbrellas over the tables) so the staff was super busy. She kept the drinks and food coming at a good pace. We started off with drinks and onion rings. We had been told how good the onion rings were so we had to order them - they lived up to the hype! I'm not a beer drinker, but my husband is. He had three different ones and didn't really enjoy any of them. He tried Tidewater Plains, Master of the Universe, and Batholith. I had a Jungleberg cocktail and liked it so much, I ordered another one. The server said they were out of them. There were five ingredients in the drink so I have no idea what they were out of. I ordered a Spicy Ancho Margarita and it was okay. It shouldn't be called spicy, because it is not. I ordered Chicken Wings and Onion Soup. Yes, it was summer. But it was cold and rainy and soup sounded good! The soup was very good - very cheesy and they didn't put a chunk of bread in there to get all soggy, which I appreciated. The wings were okay. They were way too saucy for me. My husband got the Philly and said it was okay, but nothing special. I would have probably given 3.5 stars, but that is not an option. I'd go back for the onion rings!

I went in thinking British craziness and got a "Edgar Allen Poe" feel... But I'm going to say this was NOT what I was expecting. First and foremost, your eyes are going to need adjusting. Plain and simple, it felt more like a dark ... room? (Part of the problem I think is that as it was already June, you can forget using the fireplace to lighten the room up) so it felt.. "Small", and I"m going to feel weird saying this... "Romantic Horrorfest". Wait, before you go "wha??", this isnt' necessarily a bad thing. The Taxidermy , the photos on the wall. the fireplace. the VERY (and I mean VERY) dim lighting... The limited seating on the main floor, the one door in and out it had a "wooden cabin feel".. Yes, if you had a wonderful romantic film and it was suddenly invaded by some monster villain... This where it would take place and it would be perfect. (See I can find positive things to say about things i wasn't looking for) As for the service, apparently (going back to the Romantic filmfest), I was struggling to get any attention for the bartendress, cause I guess I was solo'ing by myself, and because of how I wasn't able to get the bartendress attention... I kinda felt like an unwanted customer in a place more for couples or friends getting together which had me leaving shortly thereafter, so no real food score (although I will say, much like Oh London ,the menu wasn't really much to work through...), Anyway, no TV's, no world cup game on the air.. just like I said a vibe of a cabin in a "romantic movie, where the monsters lurk".
