We stopped by here for a Halloween pop-up, which seem to be fewer and further between this year. This is a very cool spot with an even better patio! If it hadn't been so cold out, we would have sat out there. It was decorated really well for Halloween. It was crowded and we had a wait the night before Halloween, so we sat at the bar for a while. One bartender was amazing and the other was kind of crabby, but it was fine over all. The food was good as well. I had the pretzel sticks, my fiance had the Philly Mac, and my parents shared the Albuquerque Turkey sandwich. It was all very good! The cocktails were cute, but nothing special. I've been here twice-- once casually and the other to see the Nightmare on Elm Street popup bar! My first time coming, I came here simply to eat and it was splendid. The food is hot, fresh, and full of flavor. During the pop-up event, the staff was so lovely and helpful for any menu questions. Food and drinks came out fairly quickly. Drinks are strong, you get what you pay for! It was quite busy when I went during the popup bar, but my first time coming was during a weeknight and it was mostly empty. I would definitely come here again. There is a ton of street parking, as long as the area isn't too busy. The first time I came here, I wasn't impressed. It was a regular Thursday, and I ordered an appetizer and a few cocktails off the menu. The second time, though, I was genuinely blown away. The service was excellent, and our waiter gave great recommendations. The cheese dip was so delicious, and the Philly sandwich was amazing--though I wouldn't suggest it if you don't like cream cheese. Went for the Metal brunch on Sunday. Great seating indoor and outdoors. Ate inside then finished our beverages outside because it was a beautiful day and they have a nice patio. Kelly was our server and she was attentive and nice and Hannah made great beverages. The BBQ burger here was great. Cooked perfectly with great char. We also had the poutine. The waffle fries that come loaded with the smoked Gouda jalapeño cheese, (yum) bacon, green onion etc. Delicious. The chicken and waffles was also good. Chicken breast has a nice and was not dry. This place is a hoot! Their big screen plays old movies. The menus are inside old vinyl records' covers. There are trivial pursuit cards in a copper cup at each table. The staff are friendly and make you feel like a valued regular even on your first visit. And the food.... Bold flavors, large servings, nice presentations, good prices. The menu item names were very creative, but I was a little underwhelmed with the Halloween decorations and expected a bit more for a seasonal pop-up experience. I also ordered the Cheddar Goblin Mac and Cheese but was confused why it was served in a plastic salad bowl because it got cold almost immediately. For my first Eat Crow meal, I ordered the Green Chile Burger with a veggie patty. They were out of beef patties, which was surprising considering burgers are one of their specialties. The burger was sufficiently spicy thanks to the roasted green chiles and horseradish sauce. The Gouda jalapeño cheese sauce added another spicy note to the sandwich, but most of it had pooled under the burger, which made for a very messy burger which required handfuls of napkins. The veggie patty was ok, but had a strange aftertaste flavor. I think a black bean patty would have worked better. The side of waffle fries were okay -- some were a little undercooked but overall they made for a good accompaniment to the burger. I liked the atmosphere inside and the service was great. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to outweigh the average food. read more

We drive past here almost daily and have been wanting to try it for a while. This is one of the only Soulard bars that my boyfriend hasn't been to. It was too hot to enjoy their patio so we sat at the bar inside. The bar is very high. The bar stools could be a little higher, it's slightly awkward but okay. It wasn't very busy inside and we were greeted and served immediately. I really wanted to order the Mac and Cheese with the Veggie Chili but I was trying to be healthier so I got the veggie sandwich with fries. It was very good. The waffle fries were great. My boyfriend ordered the wings and a caesar salad. The salad was great, I tried it. He really loved the wings too. The menus are printed on old music records which is cool. They don't have a drink menu on paper. The beer list is on a chalk board and they have a full bar. They had a projector showing Ghostbusters. This is quickly becoming my go to place for comfort food. I've never been disappointed. The staff hands you a vinyl record sleeve. When you open it, you find the menu. So clever. My favorite appetizers are the deep-fried pretzel sticks or the pork poutine. For the main course, I usually go for the chicken Mac & cheese or one of the many cheese burgers. The sandwiches are good as well. Note that several of the menu items include a jalapeno cheese sauce. I don't like a lot of spice, but I'm not bothered by the level of heat in their food. There's a great patio when the weather is nice. It's perfect for people watching in soulard. The kitchen is fast and the drinks are cold. What's not to love? read more

The food menu covers were record album covers! The bar itself had concert tickets all over and they had trivial pursuit all over to keep you busy. They had a big screen featuring rock music videos and I was in heaven! The bartender recommended the fries I burger with a side of ranch for the fries and I'm so glad we took his recommendation! Got a patty melt to go and it was truly awful. The meat was terrible quality and much too thick of a patty for a patty melt with this much sauce. It was sloppy and greasy, and not in a good way. We went on a Saturday and the place was pretty packed. We were able to get a table, the server told us the wait for food was going to be 45 min to an hour wait. I love that he told us that upfront. We had the time so it didn't make a difference to us. We had a couple drinks and took my 9 year old out to have a little photo fun on the patio. My husband had the BB's chicken sandwich, he absolutely loved it! I had a bite because he was raving about how good it was. I will have to agree with him. It was delicious! I had the frisco and it was delicious as well. My kiddo had a burger patty because they didn't have gluten free buns. She was ok with it though and hogged it down. I popped in here one night after work on a whim and now it's become almost a weekly regular stop. Eat Crow has a relaxed vibe, but food that's supersedes any expectations from a casual bar. If you're not a wimp like me, you'll love the jalapeño cheese sauce that is served as a side option with fries, and also as the Mac-n-cheese base. It was phenomenal just a little too spicy for this kid. The burgers are made and cooked to order and so fantastic!!! I don't know how to even start this review as I'm quite ambivalent about this location. This was our first visit and initially we felt quite welcomed by the bartender. They had a sign that said: "please wait to be seated", but they weren't busy so were told to sit wherever. We saw this with quite a few people that came in. No big thing; however I do feel like they could have spun the sign around and resulted in a few people who got upset with not being acknowledged right away that came in after us. This restaurant has what they call a metal brunch. During those hours, you can only order from the brunch menu. They play death metal music, but it's not loud so it's not a huge deal. There isn't a wide selection though and nearly everything has egg on it. I ordered a mimosa and my boyfriend got a beer. The beers are on a list on the wall. They have a cocktail list, but no beer list. There's no description of what the beers are but they have cute names. Our food was pretty good. My grapes tasted funny so I didn't eat them. They tasted like they were on the verge of being bad. They were super soft too like they were ready to ferment. The waffles were good as was the burger. My ambivalence comes from feeling like we were ignored once we got our drinks. We weren't really checked on except once and when my boyfriend ordered another beer, our bartender/waiter forgot it. He went to talk to a patron that he seemed to know and we had to remind him of our beer. The other thing I didn't really care for was the lack of sugar free syrup. I asked and was told they only had the syrup in little bottles that were already laid out. Everything seemed to have sugar in it, which I have to be careful about. Even the mimosa, they added Sprite.
