The bar is located inside an old bank building hence, the play on the name. The historical building creates the perfect backdrop to a fancy beverage. Unfortunately, since the new ownership took over, everything that made it special has been stripped away. The new concept seems to care more about being an "art gallery" and chasing trends than honoring what longtime patrons loved. They scrapped the menu that people came back for, pushed out the staff who gave the place its spirit, and turned a beloved bar into something completely unrecognizable. This bar has soooo much potential, sadly it doesn't get the recognition that it deserves. The venue itself is breathtaking, art deco, drinks are reasonably priced and there is plenty of room to lounge around. I wish they opened on the weekends too. I've had this bar bookmarked for a long time but their hours never aligned with my St. Louis trips, open only from 4-10pm Tuesday-Fridays! Arguably the MOST UNDERRATED and UNDERHYPED cocktail bar in STL. Been to this bar more times than I can count over the past few years with different groups, and has impressed everyone. In what used to be an old bank, the open ambiance being sophistication that not many other bars can achieve. Makes it perfect for literally any occasion-- we normally start our night here before a nice dinner, and it sets the mood and tempo of the night perfectly. It's one of the only STL bars that, once you enter, you don't feel like you're in STL anymore. Love what the owners have done with this place. On the topic of owners-- they're the most genuine and down to earth bar owners I've met. They're so welcoming and engaging, which makes the experience that much better. Cocktails are strong, well made, and creative. Their menu items rotate seasonally and I don't think I've ever had a bad drink here. Their R&D is phenomenal. Their "The Freudian Slap" cocktail is one of their signatures that's always on the menu and ALWAYS impresses. If you come here only wanting 1 cocktail, you're 10/10 going to get a second one after trying the first one. Located downtown and surprisingly not busy in their early opening hours. Some of their drinks come with a small show, which is a nice touch to make some of the simple drinks more exiciting. Again, never been upset because even their most basic creations have their own flare making them so unique. 5/5, if I could give it more than 5 stars, I most definitely would. After calling places around the area and them wanting me to sign a contract, TRUST came through. Not only did they allow me to reserve a space with no issue, but there was ample space and they were accommodating in every way. The space is beautiful and well built. I've heard that it was a bank before and now has offices on the top floor as well as a work space in the bar. The menu is well-crafted and has a great mixture of beer, cocktails, and wine, and might I add, all reasonably priced. Disclaimer, they don't serve food but are in the process. I'm not sure when this will come to fruition BUT it's on the way. The pictured drink is the pono punch and it's my favorite! I it has the right amount of sweetness and reminded me of a high class punch. If I could drink it everyday, I would because it's that's good. I attended an event here planned by my partner and his group. It was for ~150 people and the size of the venue was perfect. High ceilings, various types of seating (high tops, lows even a couch) and beautiful ambience. Assuming it was a bank in the past, it was redone so nicely. Huge square bar. Staff was super nice and accommodating. Drinks were great but I have one complaint - they were pretty small and lessened in quality as the night went on. The first Pono Punch I had was delicious and I could really taste the passion fruit and Li Hing. At the end of the night, it tasted more like grapefruit juice and must less alcohol (I only had 3 over 4 hours so it's not that I drunk I promise LOL) I definitely want to return on a regular night and try their cocktails when they aren't made in batches and when they have others available - they looked great on the menu. read more

I came in, sat at the bar, waited for 10 minutes and was not once acknowledged by either of the two bartenders. I walked around to the kiosk and still was not acknowledged. Then the bartenders disappeared and came back to tell everyone there was a gas leak in the building and everyone had to leave. Probably the worst experience I've had at any establishment. A gem in the often forgotten section of Downtown between Kiener Plaza and the Arch grounds. When I think of this area I think of hotels, boring chain restaurants, and a few high end stake houses. Trust definitely breaks from that mold. Trust is in the historic Mississippi Valley Trust Company building (built in 1896). The interior has been beautifully restored and is enormous. Bring your large groups here! There are ample tables and lounging areas as well as many seats at the u-shaped bar. The restoration work was done impeccably. There is also a coworking space (CoVo) in the building including a large event room on the top floor with an adjacent rooftop patio. I can see many a lovely reception or birthday party held there. What a view! Service is simply amazing. Staff is friendly and easy to chat with. The music being played while we were there was jazzy and speakeasy influenced. Good jazzy covers of pop songs as well as some old standards. Their menu has all the cocktail, wine, and spirits you could ask for. Their craft menu boasts recipes with lots of fresh and unique flavors (jalapeno, allspice, citrus zest, fruit tinctures, etc.). They even have a classic cocktail menu for the purists. They unfortunately do not serve food (yet), but I have it on good authority that it will be offered in the near future. ;-) Noah and Rob have really done a great job creating another unique and enjoyable craft cocktail experience (they originally setup and ran the Bronson House which I LOVED). Went to Trust for the first time night and agree with other reviews....this is an absolute gem! Both the venue and the cocktails embody beautiful craftsmanship. We'd been intending to go for a quick happy hour and ended up staying for over four hours evening enjoying the AMAZING cocktails, ordering in food, and chatting with Kevin (the beverage director) who was super fun and clearly enjoys sharing his passion and knowledge of cocktails.
