Came here for happy hour and it did not disappoint!! They have great HH pricing. Lovely ambiance and drinks. The wallpaper and decor is super fun. We got there right around 4:30, plenty of parking and it was basically empty! It realllly filled up within the next hour! I really enjoyed the popcorn shrimp and yummy curry aioli it came with! The fries were tasty but a little on the crunchy/burnt side. The oysters were fresh and delicious. Super clean. Also loved the little sauce it came with! The meatball sandwich was okay, I probably wouldn't get that again! Can't wait to go back! There's so many items on the menu I can't wait to try!

Gosh I cannot say enough wonderful things about Extra Wavy!! The vibes here are perfectly crafted - ideal spot for a cute girls night out on the town. Starting with the cocktails - you just cannot go wrong. Everything is aesthetic, stunning, delicious. I loved the spicy marg I got (forgot the cutesy name but it was so good) and wanted to try so many of the others! We ordered several plates to share and everything was delicious - the lobster donut roll is an absolute must. I'm not a big fries person, but the salt and vinegar fries that come with the lobster roll stole the show. We also ordered the crab pasta and we were obsessed - the noodles were so whimsical so fun. The desserts were equally impressive and worth trying - I'll be back and I won't stop talking about how incredible and chic this place is!!

A fun new raw bar addition to STL. The space is large and has a parking lot right in front there enough space in the restaurant to host all your guests. It's wheelchair friendly but a host may need to grab the door for you. The staff was phenomenal and never missed a beat. The vibes are great! And fun note all their greens are grown in house! The seafood was fresh and very bright! I would love to see a full raw menu when they hit their 1 year of service. The scallop crudo had texture but the raw oysters had the perfect cucumber mignonette! The baked oysters could have been harder but that sauce was fire! Each went well with my Mayday cocktail. Unfortunately the lamb meatballs were a miss as they flavors are not too common to my taste and unfortunately my bread had that burnt taste from the grill. The viral crab pasta was also not very crabby and overly bready. I would add more crab or lessen the amount of pasta to balance. The desserts also need a rework because the flavors were not what you would think for sticky toffee pudding or pistachio ice cream. There are more menu items to explore so I will be back! I am very interested in what this restaurant has in store for us!

The perfect place for a happy hour, birthday celebration, etc. I love the way they have decorated this space with funky wall paper and their green/pink color scheme. They have a parking lot too or you can opt for street parking. Celebrated my birthday here and really loved the cocktail offerings, food, and service. I got the hot take and my partner got the golden coast both delicious and very strong! For food, we started with oysters (the cucumber mignonette was such a perfect pairing) and hamachi crudo. Both of this dishes were a fresh and light start to our meal. For our mains we orders the fish and chips and the crab pasta! It was so good and filling. We finished the night with the chocolate cake! To die for and not heavy at all. Great meal, service, and ambiance!

I truly can't say enough good things about this place. The service is top notch - attentive and incredibly knowledgeable on the menu. A perfect spot for a solo dinner, date night or girls night. My top picks: the espresso martini (wow, the fig leaf elevates this), the salt and vinegar fries (probably one of my favorite bites in STL), wavy burger, and espresso martini affogato for dessert. Order the salt & vinegar fries - thank me later!

I loved Extra Wavy! Such a fun menu. Tequila? I am ordering it! Plot Twist with tequila, sour cherry maraschino, walnut, lime, pistachio foam. So good! We shared all the plates we ordered. Sourdough Focaccia, Salt and Vinegar Fries, Fried Polenta, Pork Belly Skewers, and Fish and Chips. Each item was better than the one before. I can't stop thinking about the fried polenta! The fries were so good and good again when reheated. The fish was great! Firm and not greasy. Bread, delicious! Our waiter, Almedin, was great. Attentive but not hovering. Already looking forward to going back!

What a great time and experience Extra Wavy is! I came here for a girls night and it ended up being such a refreshing new spot for us to check out. The decor is modern and fits well with the raw bar vibe, it's still elevated and an intimate space. I was in the midst of doing dry January but the cocktails my friends received looked wonderful and well crafted. Our appetizers were all delicious: hamachi crudo (I've never had anything like that before- loved the melon/ caviar combo), whipped ricotta was fire, and loved the butter that came with the ricotta. I had the burger for my entree and it was delicious- smashed wonderfully with the manchego. The real winner tho was my friends crab pasta. I've thought about it several times since and will definitely be getting that next time. Bravo, Extra Wavy!

Popped in on a Friday around 515 without a reservation and we got lucky with a table available for 2. We enjoyed the happy hour menu with excellent cocktails and shared several appetizers. Everything was so good!! The oysters were fantastic and fresh, the sauce was unique and tasteful. Our waitress was great -- very friendly and attentive but didn't hover. The decor is fun and modern and definitely gave ~girls night~ vibes (while still being a great spot for a date night!). We didn't make it to entrees as we filled up on the happy hour menu, but I felt like prices were reasonable while the vibes were a little more upscale than causal. Can't wait to come back and try more things on the menu! Everything was so good, but I think the oysters and popcorn shrimp were my favorite things we tried.

Since I'm a huge fan of Yellowbelly, I couldn't wait for the opportunity to try this place. Our reservation was at 8:30, and we made it with 5 mins to spare. When we first walked in, I was captivated by how large the place was followed by the pleasantries of garlic and other spices. We were sat at the bar and immediately given water and menus. At first glance, the menus have a similar setup in which the cocktails are listed first followed by the food dishes. The menu offers a wide array of drinks such as speciality cocktails, non alcoholic, and wine. The food section is vast as they offer a raw portion, salads, appetizers, sandwiches and entrees. To start, I went with the plot twist and my bf got the hot take. My drink was tequila based but had a nice mixture of cherry and other ingredients with a pistachio foam on top. The foam reminded me of a secret barrier before getting to the good stuff. The drink was sweet but not overly sweet. For appetizers, we went with the sourdough focaccia and chicken thigh skewers. The bread was heaven sent. To our surprise, it was already coated with garlic butter. It was soft, fresh, and something you wanted to keep eating even if you were full. The chicken skewers were tasty and they took it up a notch by adding chimichurri. For our mains, he got the stuffed pasta and I got the grilled salmon. This is where things took a slight turn as the server put in the wrong order for him causing a slight delay. Additionally, she was a bit slow with the cues when it came to getting her attention. Eventually she got it right and I must say it was worth the wait. My salmon was cooked perfectly and as I requested. The sauces paired well and were a nice addition to have with the accompanying vegetables. His stuffed pasta was incredible. It had a nice blend of vegetables and reminded me of the mint pasta from Pastaria except it's bigger. To round things up, I got a glass of sparkling rosè. It was strawberry based with hints of lemon but was just what I needed. While as much as we enjoyed the meal, we had no room for dessert. Overall, we were more than pleased with our first visit. Both the staff and service were phenomenal, in addition to the amazing food they serve. We'll def be back.

extra wavy was such a treat! First of all the ambience of the restaurant is so cute and unique. I absolutely love the design. To start we both got cocktails that were delicious. And we got salt and vinegar, fries and popcorn shrimp as appetizers. Both were amazing. I didn't expect this restaurant to have such great fries, but man, you have to try them. For my main entrée, I got the donut lobster roll. It taste as good as it looks. I'm very excited to come back and try something else.

Extra Wavy absolutely rules. The staff, the thoughtfully curated ambiance, the food, the drinks - genuinely everything is top tier. I love sitting at the bar and watching the bartenders be completely in their element. They have a weeknight happy hour that is quite excellent with creative discounted drinks and unique food options - perfect for a solo bar sit. The popcorn shrimp with curry mayo was, quite frankly, one of the best apps I've ever had. On the regular menu, the Plot Twist is also one of the best drinks I've ever had. You'd have no idea it's a margarita. They also have mini martinis!! A mini espresso martini as dessert? Sign me up. Their fries are advertised as salt and vinegar flavored, but don't let it scare you! It's not super strong and pairs so nicely with the flavors of whatever delightful meal you are eating. Seriously. How do they do that? Lastly, don't sleep on the chocolate cake. My friend and I were in awe by it. I love Extra Wavy. Thank you, folks at Yellowbelly, for making this new gem of a joint.

The food was incredible. Service was attentive, took a while to get the check but that seemed like the ambiance of the place. You sit and enjoy! Quiet and cozy

Extra Wavy is a really fun addition to the STL food scene. The atmosphere is upbeat and stylish with that cool bar energy that makes it perfect for a night out. It feels social, a little buzzy, and great for sharing plates with friends. Cocktails were excellent and the food was fresh and creative. The lobster roll The menu has a lot of interesting options that make you want to order a few things for the table and try a bit of everything.

Their patio is fantastic when the weather is nice and creates a charming, upscale atmosphere. That said, the interior is just as inviting, with a romantic and moody ambiance that makes for a great evening out. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Our server, was friendly, knowledgeable, and offered great recommendations throughout the meal. You can tell the owner and chef take pride in creating a memorable dining experience. We started with the garlic herb fries, which were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. I also ordered the classic Caesar salad, and it was authentic, fresh, and perfectly executed. For my entrée, I chose the strip steak, and it was outstanding--easily one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. The cook was flawless, the flavor was incredible, and every bite showcased the chef's attention to detail. Overall, this was a 10/10 dining experience, and I can't wait to return.

The parking lot had spaces available. We walked in and there was an event space on the right and a large sofa and chairs against the back wall. Signs indicated where to go for Bellwether so we went around the windows showing the climbing wall to the elevator. Upstairs we were greeted promptly and asked if we wanted to sit inside or out. We opted for inside and she led us down one level to the second floor. I think the building is really cool, and the restaurant is well appointed, exposed brick, cool lantern hanging lamps, bookshelves filled with books and odds and ends, Waitress was friendly, there were only a couple of tables on the floor, but she wasn't intrusive and let us take out time. It filled up more by the time we left. The menu had several things I wanted to order but ended up deciding on the breakfast fried rice. We also ordered the cinnamon roll for the table. Coffee was hot and kept refilled, but it was just ok. The cinnamon roll was tasty. The fried rice was great and the fried egg on top was well cooked and tasty. One of our party ordered a side of sausage, it was four links and they were good, another ordered the pork belly sandwich and that was one of my other choices, I tried it and was impressed! I thought it would be too sweet, but it was perfect. Viewing the pictures of dinner, can't wait to go back for that and sitting outside!

I am a big fan of Passenger Chili Crisp. If you are unfamiliar please look them up! It's hands down the best chili crisp I've ever had.
