Went here for my birthday dinner. I would definitely recommend the Bellwether for the great food and drinks. However, if you are looking for some sort of acknowledgment of your occasion I wouldn't recommend it for that. I'm not sure you can state the occasion on the reservation and we weren't asked by our server. The food was great. Drinks good. I like the ambiance and decor. The service was as expected. I planned my solo date night and selected Bellwether for dinner. I reviewed their online menu and made reservations. I arrived and was the only person inside. I had an early resy. There were people on the patio. I was immediately greeted and served water. My server was Rosie. She was pleasant and attentive. I perused the menu and discovered the meal I'd planned on ordering no longer existed. I was instantly disappointed and thought "that's why I came here". After a big sigh I decided on something else. I ordered the jerk chicken with a side a fries. I also ordered my FAV...a Manhattan. My drink arrived and was perfectly balanced. I love when that happens! My food didn't take long. It was a bone in chicken breast wonderfully seasoned on a bed on not your usual veggies. It was AMAZING. My fries were cooked just right. They gave a nice balance to the meal. I ordered dessert. The peach bread pudding. THIS is why they didn't receive 5 stars. I'm a bread pudding aficionado. If ever there's bread pudding on a menu I'm ordering it 9.99 times out of 10. It arrives with vanilla ice cream on top. Looks good. However, the taste was weird. It wasn't rich and buttery. It was dry and I'm not sure what held it together. The peaches were tart. The peach bourbon sauce was salty. I tried two bites and decided it was a major no for me. The worst bread pudding I've EVER had. I'd go back for the food and cocktail. Their patio is fantastic when the weather is nice and creates a charming, upscale atmosphere. Our server, was friendly, knowledgeable, and offered great recommendations throughout the meal. You can tell the owner and chef take pride in creating a memorable dining experience. We came for brunch so the review will focus on that meal. There were 8 of us and the service, timing, and care were exceptional. Everyone's meals came out at the same time and the servings were appropriately sized. The staff made sure we never had to ask for a refill or top off on our drinks. Delayed Mother's Day brunch by a week since we were too slow in making reservations. So glad we still went! Our reservation time was also opening time, 10:00. The parking lot had spaces available. We walked in and there was an event space on the right and a large sofa and chairs against the back wall. Signs indicated where to go for Bellwether so we went around the windows showing the climbing wall to the elevator. Upstairs we were greeted promptly and asked if we wanted to sit inside or out. We opted for inside and she led us down one level to the second floor. I think the building is really cool, and the restaurant is well appointed, exposed brick, cool lantern hanging lamps, bookshelves filled with books and odds and ends, Waitress was friendly, there were only a couple of tables on the floor, but she wasn't intrusive and let us take out time. It filled up more by the time we left. The menu had several things I wanted to order but ended up deciding on the breakfast fried rice. We also ordered the cinnamon roll for the table. Coffee was hot and kept refilled, but it was just ok. The cinnamon roll was tasty. The fried rice was great and the fried egg on top was well cooked and tasty. One of our party ordered a side of sausage, it was four links and they were good, another ordered the pork belly sandwich and that was one of my other choices, I tried it and was impressed! I enjoyed my brunch visit to the Bellweather! I have previously been here for dinner, so it was great to see what brunch offerings they had. This is a very cute restaurant and gives you nice cozy vibes! Service was fast and efficient, which was nice for brunch. It wasn't too busy that morning. We sat at the bar and it was 4 flights to get to receptionist and 2 more or the bar...and I'll say we were not ready for that at all. But it was worth a nice like hike up and back down for the brunch. The menu was unique but had plenty of amazing things on it too. What rock have I been living under? Came here with a friend for brunch on Sunday around 11am. I made a reservation on Thursday night and they called Saturday to confirm and let me know that the elevator was down and that it would be a 5 flight stair climb. When I arrived I was greeted by a cheerful host and my waitress Camyrn was nice as well. They mentioned a few options and I settled on the biscuit and gravy with soft scrambled eggs and potatoes. I had an orange that was good too and there are free refills on that. The biscuits and gravy was the star of the show. The cheddar biscuits is different and pairs well with the gravy. Fantastic family baby shower brunch at Bellwether yesterday. The food was delicious! I was too distracted to take pictures but we had buffet style with scrambled eggs (they were cooked perfectly), giant fluffy biscuits, fresh fruit, two types of sausage, two types of gravy for the biscuits, roasted crispy potatoes and waffles! Coffee was awesome with all types of cream, juices and soda. The two ladies running the event were lovely and accommodating. I started with a cocktail that was lovely. We also ordered the wagyu bruschetta as an appetizer. Overall, it was good, but the flavors clashed a bit. However, the entrees blew us away. I ordered the pan roasted duck breast. Typically, I do not like duck but this was amazing. What a beautiful day for a nice brunch! I came here on Sunday, 8/3, to celebrate our friend moving with some friends. We had a late reservation at 1:30 and while we initially sat outside, we decided to move inside. Our server was stupendous in every facet. He was extremely attentive, never letting our water get too low and always there for anything we requested. I came in quite famished and went with the farmers breakfast and talk about bang for your buck. Drink wise, I went with the blueberry lavender sparkling cocktail. It wasn't long before our food came out and it far exceeded my expectations. The eggs were fluffy, the potatoes were seasoned and a lot better than expected and best of all, the turkey sausage was some of the best I've had. WELL! When pulling the Bellwether up to do my review, old pictures showed up! I knew I'd been there before, but I didn't have a review, so decided to go again. This time with a group of 5 of us. The Bloody was very tasty, though not dressed up very well IMO. I ordered the Farmer's Breakfast (over easy, turkey sausage and biscuit). It was all DELICIOUS! And more than I felt I should eat in one seating... Somebody talked me into ordering another cocktail that I can't find on the online menu. Something with rye.... VERY tasty! I made reservations on their website and was able to get a slot (reservation was made on Saturday evening). I ordered the Florentine Benedict and my husband ordered the Bacon Fried Rice with an egg over easy and a side (small plate) of biscuits and gravy. The Benedict was delicious. The eggs were perfectly poached and the hollandaise sauce was delicious. The best I've had! Let's talk about those smash fried potatoes. They were amazing! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yummy!! The Bacon Fried Rice was very good as well and a fun take on a brunch dish. Now the Bs & G, I was a bit disappointed. The gravy had too much flour and was under seasoned. One bite was enough. Very underwhelming. I will say that the portions were very generous and priced very well. We left stuffed. All the bartenders at The Bellwether are masters of their craft and make amazing cocktails. As my appetizer, I had to have the Brussels Sprouts. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am addicted to Brussels Sprouts. If I see BS's on a menu, I've got to have them. Many times, I will order them as my entree and these tonight could easily be an entree. They were absolutely delicious. The blend of smoked shallot ricotta, lemon, garlic, capers and aleppo pepper, had my taste buds dancing and begging for more. The service is top notch. Despite being busy, our waters stayed full, as did our stomach's. We were fortunate to enough to get the last cinnamon roll. It was beautiful. Fluffy, light, the cream cheese frosting was so rich, and the pistachio crumble gave just enough texture without overpowering. We likewise got some biscuits and gravy as well as an omelette. The biscuits were solid. A super buttery crust gave the biscuit a great crunch. The gravy was great as well, especially paired with a runny yolk of a poached egg. The omelette was awesome also. Stuffed with bacon, canadian bacon, pork sausage, turkey sausage, and peppers. The omelette was prepared well and every meat offered unique flavor and spice. The potatoes were solid as well, some crispier than others, but still good. The seasoning blend I really enjoyed. Salty with some paprika and other spice.
