roasted red pepper-walnut dip with fresh yogurt, pickled red peppers, and parsley

Cozy restaurant with indoor and outdoor patio seating that is dog friendly. Got a few dips, a salad, and some tinned fish to share. Absolutely loved the homemade flatbreads that came with the red pepper-walnut and eggplant baba dips, would go again just for those! Delicious.

I first tried No Ordinary Rabbit at the Great Taste. Their red pepper walnut dip made me want to try the restaurant and it did not disappoint! I of course had to get the dip again and opted for a dirty martini and asked if I could do their pickle brine instead of olive brine and I loved it. Our waitress was so nice and accommodating. I can't wait to try more of their food and drinks in the future

Mac and cheese, gnocchi, burrata with beets, short ribs

Came here on a Tuesday evening. Made a reservation, but when we walked in, it was not packed. The waitstaff were nice, and quickly led us to our table. The place was small, and the ambience was cozy. The menu was nice and tight, and our waiter was very informative about options on the menu. We ended up ordering the following: zaatar onion rings, burratam gnocchi, mac and cheese, braised short rib, and 2 gooey butter cakes. This was a meal that fed four people comfortably. The onion rings had the wow factor when they were first brought in given their size, but it rapidly dwindled. While they were crispy, it was definitely underseasoned. It had flavored, and tasted better with the caramelized onion labneh, but more salt would've definitely sent it over the edge. The burrata was good; definitely a dish to get if you like beets. The gnocchi and the mac & cheese were both really good. Both were exceedingly creamy, rich and full of flavor. Very satisfying sense of umami with each bite. The braised short ribs and potatoes were also good, but not as flavorful nor as tender as I know that braised ribs can be. Finally, the gooey butter cake with ice cream left a satisfying sweetness to end the night. The ice cream was delicious and the gooey butter was good, although not the best gooey butter that I've had. Overall, it is a decent place for a nice date night service was relatively fast and I was satisfied. 4/5 stars.

UM WOW. This place is amazing. It's been on the list and I'm so glad we gave it a try. We will absolutely be back. My husband made a reservation for my birthday and I'm glad he did, it was packed for a week day!! Luckily, they had a table saved and we were seated immediately. Service was great all night. Our only complaint was there was nothing said about my birthday. We never expect anything free but it is a special occasion and he told them it was a special occasion and they didn't even say anything, which was a little disappointing. Luckily we had another reservation for dessert somewhere else after and they made up for it! My point is - this place is awesome and give it a try but not for a special night because it won't be "special". Since it was my birthday we did go all out and got whatever we wanted off the menu, we warned the waitress so she was awesome and boxed things as we ate, which was perfect. I don't think we had anything we didn't like. My husband said the onion rings were the best he's ever had. The fish dip was fantastic and I'm not a fish eater. The Mac n cheese was super unique and flavorful. The ricotta dumplings were bomb. The pork was so tender and perfect, we are sous vide our own pork chops now it was so good. The food is top notch. We eat out a lot in the area and this place competes with the best. Highly recommend for a great meal.

Sexy, vibey, cozy, intimate. No ordinary rabbit is home to all the vibes and some dang good eats. This spot is the perfect addition to the grove. A clean, sharp space full of good drinks, and amazing service. All of the workers are awesome. Attentive, respectful, and on point. A dang cold martini began my night to act as dinner's predecessor. Crisp, clean, bright. As a martini should be. The whipped feta is superb. A bit tangy, amazing texture, and a bit of sweetness from the honey. Burnt rosemary adds a touch herbiness. The chicken gnocchi was amazing. It was reminiscent of a chicken pot pie in gnocchi form. Super rich with fluffy pillows of potato pasta! So much umami packed in with the mushrooms, slight acidity and spice from the peppers, and some wilted greens to top it off in a light broth/sauce! So amazing. This place will be a go to for myself and the rest of the neighborhood for years to come

I really enjoyed my first visit to No Ordinary Rabbit. The decor was bright, nature-inspired, with a bit of a Tulum vibe. The cocktails were creative, and the menu had a bunch of unique dishes and a lot of the ingredients I had no idea what they were but really enjoyed. Everything tasted fresh, perfectly cooked, and still felt healthy at the same time. I really enjoyed my duck dish and I was surprised how much I liked the smashed beans with the sun-dried tomatoes, and the whipped feta app was textured and really good. Our server was friendly, attentive, and l helpful. Overall, an enjoyable first experience.

Everything is perfect here - small, quiet, great food and reasonable pricing. Really interesting taste combinations and something that is truly different. I'd recommend this for anyone who enjoys something different and higher end. Friendly service too. Nothing to dislike. Check out the pics. This will make you want to book a reservation and hop on a plane to St. Louis....

We got recommended NOR by a family friend and we were not disappointed! The concept of having all shareable plates was a great way to try multiple different items on the menu. The Corn Hummus and Sable plate were our favorites. The Hummus had great flavor and the fried bread it was served with was soft, perfect for the dish. The Sable was flaky and crispy on the outside, cooked perfectly. The pistachio gooey butter cake was the highlight of our meal!! Our server was a great help with deciding what to get. We tried two of his recs (the sable and pistachio cake) and were impressed. Great knowledge of the menu. We'll be coming back!!

This place was amazing! You have to call to make a reservation and I highly recommend it especially on busy weekend evenings. During our visit, there was still a slight chill in the air but we were seated indoors which was lovely. We started with their za'atar onion rings. So good! We immediately knew why they are one of their most popular starters. We also ordered their charred eggplant baba served with (2) grilled loafers bread with smoked sea salt. It was perfect. We asked for more bread as there was still about half of the baba. You can tell they make it fresh as it took a little while and they came out hot. We did get charged for the extra bread but worth it. For my entrée, I ordered the pan seared monk fish and my husband had the spinach ricotta gnudi that had some fennel chicken sausage. He let me have a bite of the chicken sausage and it was delicious. Of course, I couldn't finish my plate so I took the rest home but saved room for dessert. I ordered a cigar baklava. Flaky pastry but due to the configuration (cigar form) it was convenient to pick up and eat without needing any silverware or making a huge mess of the flaky filo. What an excellent concept! Service was great. Our waitress had the right amount of attentiveness and made sure we were not waiting too long for our food and drinks. Their cocktails were excellent as well. I am so happy to have had a wonderful experience during our first visit. I cannot wait to return!

Tried NOR based on rave reviews from a friend-DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Staff was friendly and welcoming. Busy and small-plan accordingly. Bartenders are masters at what they do! Had the Trinidad Sour-excellent! Trout Dip and Mackerel were a great start! Braised short ribs were like a home cooked roast-comfort food. Larger portions requested! Lamb meatballs were yummy. Ended with pistachio gooey butter-hats off to the chef! Very lively crowd! Constant crowd coming in.

Their steak is sooo amazing and I really didn't expect that from a place that isn't a steak house, I typically like my steak on the more "little pink" side, they tend to lean more towards the hot pink center and I will say this is one of the only places I make that exception for because it tastes so amazing cooked exactly like that! I'm constantly craving it! Def plan on getting your name on the list ahead of time- usually busy but they get people in and out quickly it is just simply a smaller establishment that's all :)

Outstanding, Happy Hour! One of the best things about being retired is having the ability to attend an early in the day, Happy Hour. No Ordinary Rabbit has its HH, 3PM - 5 PM. Most people are still at work, but us retirees can go and have basically the entire place to ourselves. My BFF and I went yesterday to celebrate her birthday early. It was the first time for both of us and we were totally gobsmacked. The cocktails were masterfully prepared and the appetizers aka small plates were impressive, too. The linen napkins, gold flatware and the stemware used for the cocktails added to the total experience. I am a fan of Onion Rings and theirs are made in house and I recommend that you order them. They're on the smaller size, so they'll not be super filling. I also recommend the Whipped Feta and their House Potato Chips with "special sauce". You'll be pleased with all of these. They'll be perfect accompaniments to your cocktails. While we celebrated the birthday, I enjoyed three different cocktails. Don't judge me, I'm retired and can drink in the middle of the day. I started off with, No Ordinary Rabbit. It's one of their, N.O.R. cocktails and is made with rye, one of my favorite liquors. I would have had a second one, but I am a vodka man and wanted to try their Wet Martini. Then my third cocktail to wrap up the celebration was an, Old Fashioned. All three were outstanding. I loved watching the bartender make our drinks from the table. She was masterful in her skills. The drinks were so good, I tipped her separately as I exited the restaurant. In addition to my drinks, my friend had her own. Just look at my posted pictures and know that she gave them a thumbs up, too. The ambiance is super cool and relaxing. It's rather chic and contemporary. While you are there, be sure to go and check out the non-gender restrooms. One of them has a green toilet and the other is gold. After seeing the green one, I had t peek in and see what color the other one was when I was returning to my table. The service was attentive and friendly. My BFF enjoyed herself so much, she is going back on Saturday with the husband to celebrate her birthday on her actual day.

'ssippi is a new(ish) wine bar set towards the western end of the collection of bars, restaurants, and shops that are the heart of the strip. The inside has a large wrap about bar and some limited seating. There is a very good selection of wine and mixed drinks and an okay selection of beer. The prices are reasonable. There is a very limited food menu which largely consists of snacks rather than proper entrees. So this is a great pre/post drink spot rather than somewhere you would spend an evening. The bartenders were fine. Nothing stood out either in a good or bad way. The mixed drink my wife had was very good. The orange wine I had was good, a bit on the dry side but overall no complaints from either of us. Without a highlight of the spot is the large patio. It is mostly taken up by large bench style seating. So you have to be okay sitting next to strangers. I actually enjoy these types of settings and I ended up chatting up the group to our right. There are a couple tables but they are few and far between. There are some overhead canopies and lights, and there was a nice vibe and energy. I was there and it was crowded. I really enjoyed it. Just two additional things to note. The bathroom line was very long. It must only be one stall. The entire time I was there it was a dozen people deep. The only other downside is that my wife and I felt old. The vibe on a late(ish) Saturday night was mainly 20 year olds. If I was in grad school or a recent graduate I would absolutely adore this place. Even if your 30s this probably is a good vibe. Once you hit 40 though you may feel a bit out of place on busy nights (or it will make you feel young again!)

A small plates restaurant that felt a little Italian. We make reservations and show up to this place that looks like a neighborhood pub. Quaint, in the corner, inviting light shining through medium sized windows. Inside, the vibes were a hybrid of someone's very nice dining room and an old western saloon. I know that's almost nonsensical, but the vibes were good. We felt right at home. Service was spot on. The server was very nice and new the menu pretty well. The food came out tapas style, so when something was ready, it just came right out. I like that. I like the periods where there are so many plates on the table at one time that it's overwhelming. What's what eating is all about. As for the food itself, it was good. I'll give a little blurb on each thing, as not to wear out your eyeballs. Crispy Artichokes (sauce au vert). These were fun and nice and crispy. Don't see artichokes like these very often. The sauce was a little weak, though. Didn't exactly go well with these fried little morsels. 'Nduja Croquetas (bomba rice, spicy prosciutto, fontina, grenada pepper aioli). Wow, now these little flavor bombs cannot be missed. Spicy sausage arancinis with a nice peppery aioli to dip. An intensely flavorful little dish that I loved. Can't find it on the menu, maybe it was seasonal, maybe it was a special, but we had a bone marrow French onion soup that was nice. The soup was good good. Very well developed flavors. The marrow bone was a little sloppy, though, and we got a transverse cut of bone, leaving very little marrow to access. Next were the Mussels (green garlic broth, Spanish vermouth, pickled peppers, spring onions, grilled LF bread). Very well cooked mussels, sitting in a lovely broth to dip your bread in. Ask for extra bread. But do not ask for extra of that sauce. That was really bad sauce. Sauce work seems to be this place's only weak point. Probably the biggest dish of the night, the Bolognese Bianco (Newman Farms pork & mushroom bolognese, bucatini, gremolata, parmigiano reggiano). This was a really nice pasta dish! Love those big, thicc bucatini noodles. Flavorful bolognese, great texture from the gremolata, and just cheesy enough to make this probably the most complete dish of the night. Then finally the Sea Scallops (ramp soubise, morel mushrooms, house-cured pancetta). Scallops were scored and cooked to look like fine art. Light scallops paired with nice umami from the morels and the pancetta, all tied together by that nice soubise. You don't see that very often either. We ended the meal with a Sticky Toffee Pudding (apple & date cake, apple brandy toffee, crème chantilly, marcona almond tuile). Chef's kiss. Such a delicate sponge with a nice date flavor. Then boom, the sweet boozy toffee, the creamy chantilly, the texture from the tuile. Every element helped make this a great dessert to end a great meal. Overall, another very pleasant surprise. This was a very good dinner, and I'll definitely come back if I'm ever in St. Louis again.

We went on a Sunday around 5 pm and there were already a couple other tables there, so I can imagine it fills up quickly at normal dinner times. I would probably make a reservation if planning to go at a typical hour. The service was excellent. Our server was attentive and really on top of things. We had the patatas bravas, which were good, and the croquetas de bacalao. The croquetas were a little runny for my taste. I usually prefer them a bit meatier, but they were still enjoyable. We also shared a cheese plate, which was a nice portion for a snack with wine. The wines we tried were very good. Overall, this feels like a great spot to stop for a couple glasses of wine and some snacks between plans. I could also see coming back and building a full meal by ordering a few different plates. I would definitely return.

We got the papas bravas and cheese plate off the happy hour menu plus the croquets de bacalao off the regular menu. Generally it's a small menu of tapas plus wines and cocktails but it's well curated. We enjoyed both the red and white featured wines both seemed very high quality and was fun to try something new. The food was delicious and happy hour prices were very reasonable. Service was prompt and our server was very knowledgeable about all the wines. You for sure need a reservation here unless you come at 4pm as it's quite an intimate space, I believe about 6 tables. They have a tasting menu for 2 or 4 that comes with several small plates and an optional drink pairing (2 wines and 2 cocktails). For two the food was only $60. Would love to come back and try that tasting menu as it sounds fun. The small plates they offer could definitely be made into a full meal if one was hungry enough.

Luv the idea of a combined sit in and have a few drinks with the ability to shop and purchase. The oversized gray leather seats were very comfortable as well. Settled on a couple of chilled Knobb Creek shots to show our support. What was a miss for me? Well, while I do like dogs, I'm not necessarily a fan of the owner's pup seeking playtime attention while I'm trying to enjoy my libation. Additionally, the owner had the 2nd table occupied with a boatload of work, shouldn't there be an office? The vibe just didn't pull together for me.
