One of my best friends was in town visiting from Italy and said he wanted to check out this place. I previously came here for a Yelp event, but was only served off the dinner menu. I was excited to try their lunch/brunch. We came around 11:30 and were seated promptly, given water and menus. Everything looked so good! We decided to split an order of Brussel sprouts as an appetizer. I got the west end smash and he got the Sunday sandwich. To drink, I went with the amaretto fizz and he got the sazerac. The Brussels were the perfect size to split between the two of us. Come to think of it, the appetizers were made that way. We both said, "mmm" after the first bite as we were caught off guard by how perfectly cooked they were. The chili-lime vinaigrette taste was an unexpected but welcoming twist that I'd be more than happy to have on my Brussel sprouts going forward. My drink was good, although it's been a long time since I had anything with amaretto. The fizz aspect was a nice touch but nothing special. Shortly after we got our drinks, the food arrived. Everything came as I requested. This was my first time eating a double burger and let me say, it was worth every penny. It was quite flavorful, from the meat to the brioche bun. The fries were equally as good; small, yet crispy and well-seasoned. Overall, we were both impressed with the food and service. I can't wait to come back to try more of their menu. read more

Noble Crown is a pretty new restaurant situated on the corner of a great little neighborhood in the Central West End of St. Louis. It's a fairly small, nicely designed establishment. With a bar taking up one whole end of the restaurant. There were 3 of us and I tried making a reservation for around 6, on a weekday, and there was nothing to be had except for 5:15 or 7. So we chose 5:15. It was pretty dead until we left, which was shortly after, so I was kind of wondering why we were unable to get that reservation. I have to say our server, Erica, was very attentive and outstanding. For an appetizer we had the Bacon Fat Fried Cornbread that had this whipped honey butter with a hot honey topping that was so delicious. Never have we ever had anything like that, so we absolutely had to try it and I would totally recommend it! I had the Culpepper Dip, which I'm assuming is named after the restaurant that was in that spot for years. It was ok. Pretty bland actually. The fries that came with the sandwich were nice and crispy but were beyond salty. I couldn't eat them. It was an ok experience overall. read more

Noble Crown just opened in the CWE in the last month or so and I decided to pay this establishment a visit. The interior looked nice and I was excited to try this spot! I immediately took a seat at the bar and ordered a Tom Collins which was made very well. I got the brussel sprouts to split and they were roasted nicely and the addition of the crunch on top was perfect! The bartender was very nice and friendly. Noble Crown is the newest addition to the growing "Chess Corner" on Maryland and Euclid in St. Louis' Central West End, and it already feels like a welcome addition to the neighborhood. I happened to notice the buzz outside while walking around the neighborhood and decided to pop in for a cocktail. I grabbed a martini at the bar, and it was delicious. The service was also friendly and attentive, which made it an easy place to settle in and enjoy a drink. While I didn't get a chance to try the food this visit, I did look over the menu, and there are definitely a few things I'm excited to come back and try. I'm always happy to see new restaurants bringing more energy to the Central West End, and Noble Crown seems like it has a lot of potential. I'll definitely be back to give the food a try! read more

While I was out shopping, I decided to stop by Noble Crown, the new restaurant in the Central West End. I sat at the bar and had a great time chatting with the other patrons. I ordered the Brussels sprouts, which were delicious, and the steak tartare tostada with Sea Island red peas, pickled onion and radish. I had about three drinks, I know! The bartenders were so sweet and even gave me a free dessert. Such a fun spontaneous stop! read more

Fantastic dinner for 4 at Noble Crown. The service was fast and friendly in this space that once belonged to the beloved Culpeppers. I started with a dirty martini with blue cheese olives. The blue cheese was fresh in the plump delicious olive. Our appetizer was the crispy Brussels sprouts which we devoured. I had the chicken which was superb. The pork steak and clam linguini did not disappoint my friends. We had to get to the Muny for a show or we would have tried the deserts which looked lovely. We will be back! read more

Went here last weekend with my husband. Made a reservation but honestly prob didn't need it. We were a bit early but got seated right away. The waiter was super attentive and for us drinks and water quickly. We ordered the Brussel sprouts to start and they were delicious. Drinks were okay but pricy. The number 6 was a little on the to sweet side, but I am not a big sweet drinks fan. Took a bit to order our dinner. Husband got the chicken and I ordered the trout. Both came out hot and fresh. Trout was okay, needed a little more flavor. The chicken was delicious! I wish I had ordered that. Restaurant was a good size and quiet enough for us to hear each other. Tables were a little tight so it was hard to get out when we were done eating. Bathroom was hard to find, it's next door and down the elevator. Overall good experience and there are a lot of things I still would like to try so def will go again! read more

We came for the Cobb salad with salmon, crab gratin, mushroom toast, and burrata. #stlouispescatarianapproved Susie, a random person walking CWE, joined the table like she'd had a reservation all along. We collect people, what can I say? GM Chad gave us the history of Culpeppers (that's what used to be in this space) while we ate, proving this restaurant serves both food and local lore. Between Mystery being our waitress and Susie becoming our newest friend, I'm still not convinced this wasn't all part of the experience. Only in St. Louis can you leave a restaurant with a full stomach and one more person in your circle. read more

TLDR: food is good, give it a try. We were excited to try Noble Crown within the first 2 weeks of opening. It sits in a great location on a busy corner of CWE. Interior is beautiful, but space feels kind of tight. We had a reservation for three but upon being seated, it felt they were uncertain where to place us. It seemed they had tables for 2 and larger tables for 4 or possibly 6-8, so 3 is an odd number. I saw the end of one of the larger tables was set for 3 however that space was given to a larger party who came in behind us (overall understandable given how busy they were, but seemed like a last minute change). We were ultimately seated at a smaller table (fit for 2). We tend to order more apps than we can consume, so the small table was unfortunate as our apps had to be split up into 2 batches, and at one point, our plate was taken away before we were done with it because the next set of apps were waiting to be served. Our server did not seem happy at first but did have many tables to serve and got his job done. Food, overall, was superb - Presentation and flavor (possibly a little over salty for me, but I think in general, people like that). read more

Nobel Crown was probably the best dinner I've had in the CWE in a few years. The cocktails are very well done (slightly sweet so ask for that adjustment if you want) but ingredients are very well thought out. Food was prepared well with fresh ingredients and no added fat which can be a STL thing. The gnocchi app as the Brussels were order agains and the pork steak had a good helping of peas, potato's and Lima beans with it that was an excellent accompaniment. This is a very clean and open space where Culpeppers used to be. I love the brightness of it. Love the marble tables. Dislike the fake plants.....everywhere. Every corner you look there is a fake plant. Strange to me as the rest of the restaurant seems like they put money into it. My food was ok. The burrata was really good, did not care for the white bean dip, and my friend said his chicken sandwich was ok. Our server, Mystery, was lovely and very helpful. The Noble Crown is a Modern American Bistro open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner and is located on the corner of Maryland and Euclid in the Central West End. Parking is limited to metered street parking, parking near the residential part of the streets, or in a paid parking lot. We made reservations and were greeted warmly by General Manager Chad Bertelsman. Chad was not our first encounter prior to our dinner. We actually were walking by one night and stopped a staff member there to ask about the restaurant, and that gentleman brought us a menu and encouraged us to check them out sometime. The modern design of the restaurant gives an "art gallery meets date night" vibe. As the night progressed, the lights were dimmed slightly. We had chilled water to start and were asked for our drink orders. My guy ordered the No. 5 Sweet and Smoky (mezcal base) and I ordered the No. 4 Peppery and Creamy (vodka and rum base). My cocktail was so good I ordered a second round. For our appetizer, we shared the ROSEMARY GARLIC FOCACCIA (gruyère, grilled mortadella). The bread was very light and grilled, something I was not accustomed to but still great. For our mains, I ordered ROASTED CHICKEN (Yukon gold, broccolini, pan jus, black garlic) and my guy ordered STEAK FRITES with béarnaise butter (14oz N.Y. strip, frites, choice of - béarnaise butter, au poivre, bordelaise). The chicken had crispy skin and was juicy on the inside and packed with so much flavor. It sat atop smashed Yukon gold potatoes, charred broccolini, and was soaking in the most delicious chicken stock. I finished my entire meal; it was so good. I tried a bite of his steak, and it was tender, and the butter elevated the flavoring. We loved our meals and will be back! read more

Noble Crown is an exciting new addition to the Central West End dining scene and we were very excited to try it for dinner. It has great curb appeal - big windows, clean and bright interior decorating, and a great spot right on Euclid, although it does feel a little small. Our hostess had made a note of the allergy we put in our reservation, which I always appreciate and our waiter was very attentive. I was impressed by their menu, especially the drinks, and came in expecting a somewhat elevated dining experience with the main course options averaging mid-$30. The Sol Y Menta mocktail was refreshing and well-balanced and I'm eager to try more options off this menu. My husband's wine pour did seem a little small but he did like the wine. The brussel sprouts had great flavor but were a little undercooked and weren't as crispy as I hoped. This definitely would've been the star of the meal if they were cooked more. The rosemary garlic focaccia was fine - the piece we got was quite small and didn't have a lot of flavor. I also thought the Gruyère and (nut-free!) mortadella didn't add a lot to the dish. I would love just a piece of really good bread with some high quality olive oil and balsamic on the side. My husband got the mussels as a main course and generally enjoyed them quite a bit but several were sandy. Of course that was the case for the only one I tried, which was instantly a turn-off for me. I got the culpepper dip as my main course, which I didn't realize was a sandwich when I ordered it, although that made sense after reading the menu again. It came with fries on the side which were really good and well-seasoned, if not a little too salty for me (husband thought they were perfect). The sandwich itself was underwhelming. The jus was good but the meat itself didn't have a lot of flavor. Overall, all my issues with the food seem easily fixable and I'm hoping are just anomalies. I'm willing to give it another try, especially since a lot of the other reviews have such positive things to say about the food! read more

It took a little longer than usual to get my food, but she was attentive and apologetic, and it was their opening day. Those things can happen when you're ironing out logistics and operations. My new favorite spot in the CWE! I stopped in by myself to grab a bite to eat and a drink at the bar. First off, my bartender Julia was fantastic! She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations! The space is really well done and very nice inside. I ended up having a few drinks, a Sazerac, a Sidecar, and then a Number 1. All the drinks were great but the number 1 cocktail tasted exactly like a caprese salad. It was so unique, I've never had a cocktail like that before and will definitely be ordering again! For food, I started with the crispy Brussels. The whipped feta was to die for. Then I got the noble burger, which was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. I will certainly be back to try the rest of the menu! read more

The food was pretty overpriced and very plain. I got the burger and it was good but it was not worth $17 when there wasn't even sauce on it. They also charged per soda which is pretty expensive. I know they just started out but not the best and probably won't be going back. Service was okay. The waitress was nice but as it got busier it took her forever to come back to our table just for our checks. She never came back to check on us after we finished our food and we had to wave her down for the check. read more

First of all - this gem is directly across Euclid from The Drunken Fish. Signage isn't up just yet but it's coming. But, if you enter on the other side, in the Chess Club, you'll meet some fabulous people so no worries. If you're lucky, you'll be greeted by Miss Clementine who is just as sweet as her name. She's so kind and brings an amazing first impression. We were fortunate enough to be greeted by Carrington who brought us so much water with a smile and never made a passive aggressive comment about us being thirsty. Just water and a smile. :) Our seats were in Kelly's section and she was just delightful. She was so accommodating and eager to help. She has a wonderful smile and she's so kind. We asked her about bread selections and she recommended the Sally Lunn toast and oh my soul - we're soooo happy she did. It's incredible. The butter and jam are NEXT LEVEL on some yummy grilled toast. It was scrumptious. It'll definitely be on every order I make going forward. Chad (2) brought us our meal and instantly noticed we didn't have silver and brought it back immediately. We learned later it was his second day...very observant! We ordered the roasted chicken and the Culpepper dip (which came with fries) and they were both amazing. The skin on the chicken was so crispy and the jus was very tasty! I snagged a couple of my hub's fries and they were hot and fresh and very well seasoned. Maybe some of the best dining room fries I've had - very delicious. We ended with gooey butter cake (my hubs) and tawny port (me) and we both left happy and eager to return. This is a fabulous new place and it'll be in our rotation for sure! The food was amazing! The service was ok. We sat at the bar and didn't love that other servers WITH the manager present congregated at the service well and were talking about other tables in the restaurant and it was so loud my guest had to almost yell over them. Quite distracting. I also worked in service for almost 15 years at all levels. I know a 4 oz pour like I know my kids face. They are charging astronomical prices for a significantly small pour of wine, which in turn means more money in their pocket. Over all I feel like they were really trying to gouge the consumer. I understand a quality higher end experience but ultimately if you are trying to rip me off I'm going to go elsewhere. Thanks but no thanks. read more
