Half flank steak, half flat iron

Been wanting to try this place for years, finally did. Jill was our server and she couldn't have been any more friendly or accommodating. We shared the Ozark mushroom salad, grouper collar appetizer, and flat iron/flank steak. Food was all delicious. Ambiance wasn't what I expected, but overall it was a nice experience!

This place was amazing! The vibe was chill, great for date night, or just a night out to enjoy some wonderful food and drinks. We did make reservations as it was a Friday night and wasn't sure how busy they normally are. We were seated immediately and our server came over to take our drink orders. I had a glass of wine. We opted for the a la carte menu and started with the braised beef neck empanadas. They were excellent! You can tell they were freshly made and had really good flavors. For my entrée, I had the black Angus prime ribeye. It was prepared to my liking and was served over smashed sweet potatoes and green beans. Quite delicious and filling. Of course, the night was not complete without a dessert. And I ended up getting a semifreddo served with strawberry meringues. To die for! Service was wonderful from the moment we were seated to the time we left. Our server was lovely and we were checked on a few times by the host, he even stopped to chat about their offerings. It was easy to tell they are passionate about what they do here. I obviously cannot sing enough praises about this place and I cannot wait until my next visit here. If you haven't been, go... now!

Made a reservation a few weeks in advance for our 5 year wedding anniversary. We were sat on the window wall in the bar area set with white table clothes and candles at each table. Our waitress was prompt to go over the menu and enter our drinks as we waited for the tasting menu to begin. Everything was served at the perfect pace, was made fresh and we left perfectly full.

My wife and I came here for our 6th anniversary. We had gone to Ivanhoe Sno shaved ice which is attached to Bubba's Deli a number of times. We had never realised that Farmhaus was on the same block. It is a relatively quiet area with a handful of bars and restaurants spread across Ivanhoe. Babe's Tavern, Vinnie's Italian Beef, and Pizza a Go Go are just north of Farmhouse. It is actually a nice bock that we will come back to and try out some more restaurants. At Farmhaus we went ahead and did the pre fixe menue and wine pairing. The three courses were a pasta dish with roasted tomatoes (very good), a fish dish (good), and then a steak dish with broccoli and roasted onions (outstanding). The wine pairings were a proseco and then two red wines. The wine with the steak was dryer than we would normally drink but worked very well with the meal. For dessert we got Chocolate Pot De Crème which as its name suggests is a "pot of custard." Think a chocolate creme brulee but without the carmalized sugar crust. The service was attentive and helpful, making a reservation was easy to do online, and the atmosphere was intimate. Since it was our anniversary they also gave us an extra class of proseco. I could not have been happier with the service. Overall it was a great anniversary dinner. The one drawback was that it was relatively expensive. With tip the bill for two ran over $300. A big chunk of that was the wine pairing. In retrospect we should have just done one glass per course and split it between the two of us. There is an a la cart menu which would be more affordable for those not wanting to go all out.

Service by Kylie, Jill and Mildred was above accommodating! Oh, and the food experience was fantastic! Chef / Owner Kevin came out and chatted with us.... Who doesn't love that! GREAT Experience!!!!

10/10!!! I recommend the tasting menu for a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary (everyone in your party has to order it). Every single dish was amazing from appetizer to dessert in taste and presentation. The blackened red drum fish was my favorite! For my food allergy, they were very accommodating. We will definitely return for an another date night!

Very low-key, classy restaurant located in a quiet neighborhood in St. Louis. Overall, each dish had great flavors, the staff was very welcoming and friendly, and the wine and pomegranate martini was on point. Their menu changes on the daily as well. I like that I left feeling perfectly full and satisfied but not stuffed. 4.5/5 stars Ravioli dish- served with pine nuts, delicious sauce and flavors. Unfortunately, this dish was lukewarm/ bordering cold. But again, sauce and the textures were amazing. Served hot would have been outstanding. Wish the portion was slightly larger and I would have had it as my entree. Shrimp- Wasn't expecting this level of spice. Was almost too spicy for us but all the flavors and textures worked well together. The polenta was to die for! A little bit warmer than the ravioli but still lukewarm. Came with about 4 shrimps, perfect appetizer to split with 2 people. Lamb- Chefs special of the night, cooked medium rare, perfectly seasoned. Trumpeter fish- Good portion of fish and again perfectly seasoned and cooked and perfect temperature. Gnocchi were great but got soggy very quickly because of the sauce underneath.

3.8 - we went here on NYE. When we entered we were promptly greeted: however, it was made clear we only had a 2-hour time limit despite the restaurant only being half full throughout our entire meal. We were sat at a table that had paper over the table cloth. We did love our waitress. She was sweet and personable. We opted to order a la carte. The food was delivered promptly. While it was good, I don't feel like it was anything special - the New York strip steak entree was divine though. We ordered 3 appetizers and 2 entrees - again although the price w as up there, we left feeling satiated not necessarily full. Overall we gave a 3.8 stars for prompt but rushed service. I don't know if we would go back.

Low key but delicious dinner! We came out on the blizzard night when nobody wanted to brave it. The service was excellent, pacing was great on the 3 course meal with some unique wine pairings. The pork was tender and flavorful and the fish was a variety I have never tried.

We went all out tonight since we just received our yearly bonuses. This is the first time we went for a 5 course chef designed meals and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed every bite. We also order wine pairing- that is a lot more wine than we are used to . We really enjoy everything and thanks for an unforgettable experience.

I'm sad to not leave a 5 star review because we were really excited to go here for our anniversary and do the tasting menu. The pasta and kebobs were barely warm when they arrived to our table and instead of the scallops we got a piece of fried flounder. It was very underwhelming. The steak was great and the dessert but for spending $400 (2 tastings and a bottle of wine) we weren't thrilled with the experience. If you get sat in the bar area you are pretty much sharing a table with your neighbors as well. The couple next to us said it was their favorite restaurant so maybe we caught them on a bad night.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Farmhaus. Yes, the food is pricey, but we felt it was quality over quantity here. The service was great, and very timely. The dishes were all great - and we were happy. Thanks for the great evening!

'ssippi is a new(ish) wine bar set towards the western end of the collection of bars, restaurants, and shops that are the heart of the strip. The inside has a large wrap about bar and some limited seating. There is a very good selection of wine and mixed drinks and an okay selection of beer. The prices are reasonable. There is a very limited food menu which largely consists of snacks rather than proper entrees. So this is a great pre/post drink spot rather than somewhere you would spend an evening. The bartenders were fine. Nothing stood out either in a good or bad way. The mixed drink my wife had was very good. The orange wine I had was good, a bit on the dry side but overall no complaints from either of us. Without a highlight of the spot is the large patio. It is mostly taken up by large bench style seating. So you have to be okay sitting next to strangers. I actually enjoy these types of settings and I ended up chatting up the group to our right. There are a couple tables but they are few and far between. There are some overhead canopies and lights, and there was a nice vibe and energy. I was there and it was crowded. I really enjoyed it. Just two additional things to note. The bathroom line was very long. It must only be one stall. The entire time I was there it was a dozen people deep. The only other downside is that my wife and I felt old. The vibe on a late(ish) Saturday night was mainly 20 year olds. If I was in grad school or a recent graduate I would absolutely adore this place. Even if your 30s this probably is a good vibe. Once you hit 40 though you may feel a bit out of place on busy nights (or it will make you feel young again!)

Generally it's a small menu of tapas plus wines and cocktails but it's well curated. We enjoyed both the red and white featured wines both seemed very high quality and was fun to try something new. The food was delicious and happy hour prices were very reasonable. Service was prompt and our server was very knowledgeable about all the wines. You for sure need a reservation here unless you come at 4pm as it's quite an intimate space, I believe about 6 tables. They have a tasting menu for 2 or 4 that comes with several small plates and an optional drink pairing (2 wines and 2 cocktails). For two the food was only $60. Would love to come back and try that tasting menu as it sounds fun. The small plates they offer could definitely be made into a full meal if one was hungry enough.

What was most disappointing was the complete lack of follow-up or customer care afterward. Additionally, our dinner service took well over two hours on a Wednesday evening, which only added to the frustration of the experience. I was also concerned to notice what appear to be inaccuracies in the suggested gratuity calculations printed on the receipt. Based on the total shown, the percentages listed do not appear to align correctly. That's the vibe. We started on the front patio on a Friday night and quickly realized we'd made a mistake. The doors to the interior were open and the music -- a rock-forward playlist that night -- was loud enough that we considered bailing. Our server, was unbothered when we asked to move up to the rooftop. Where we met with a new bartender and server, London, who rolled with it, got us resettled, and from that point on the night was great. London was clearly handling the bar and most of the rooftop tables, but she was attentive throughout, and made eye contact, which seems a near miracle from many 20-something these days. Bumping the score up just for the flexibility on the table move alone. The food: crab cakes were genuinely good, not life-changing, but well above the weak-crab-cake bar that exists in most of the world, served simply with capers and a small salad. I went off-script and ordered the wagyu burger medium rare with fontina (London mentioned cheddar is the more common pick, but the Fontina offerd a great alternative). The burger was deeply flavorful and cooked exactly right, but here's my one real note for the kitchen: toast the brioche bun. Wagyu medium-rare puts out a lot of juice, and an untoasted bun loses its structural integrity about three bites in. A quick toast would let the bun keep some additional integrate and keep up with the perfectly cooked beef. The pom buff were great, the best elevated patato tots you may come by. Beyond what we ordered, the Greek salad is a longtime go-to -- chopped, with grape leaves and pita, available in a small or large, and easily dressed up into a light meal with or without adding some protein or can be share as a self-dress bruschetta appetizer for the group if you ask for extra bread. The cheese boards are also a reliable pick. The wine list is extensive (it's a wine bar, after all), but they don't sniff at cocktails -- I had a solid fine old fashioned, and my wife shared had a Malbec that paired well with everything. Lots of gluten-free options across the menu, too. What Sasha's gets right is that it has refused to become precious. "Wine bar" reads as pretentious to some people, but this place runs as a neighborhood spot. You'll see college kids dressed way down, couples on dates dressed way up, Hawaiian shirts, oversized sweaters, the full range. It's the kind of place where you can split a bottle with your girlfriends, meet a date for drinks and a quick bite without committing to a full dinner, or roll in for brunch on the weekend. Different times of day, different vibes -- always approachable. 4.7 stars. Loses a few tenths for the front-patio music situation and the weak burger bun, but more than makes up for it on flexibility, food, and overall hang factor.
