    Sippin Santa drink
    Natalie H.

We recently visited their Sippin' Santa pop up and it was so fun! The decor and drinks were perfectly on theme. The Shark Bite was our favorite themed drink. Be warned, some of the drinks are heavy on the sugar/ alcohol, but all tasted good! Our service was attentive and friendly. She walked us through what to expect from the cocktails we asked about. They serve food and other non-themed drinks as well, if you're interested or attending their pop up soon.

Sippin' Santa at Planter's House has a super cute and unique vibe with its Hawaiian Christmas theme. The decor and overall ambiance were fun and definitely different from the typical holiday pop-ups. With that said, I was not impressed with the menu. Every single food and drink option leaned heavily sweet. If you need to watch your sugar intake at all, this place makes it really difficult. There were no balanced or lower-sugar options to choose from, which was disappointing. When I finally found something on the meal that seemed less on the sweet side (grilled shrimp) it was $18 for 4 shrimp. I was still hungry. They also enforce a pretty strict two-hour time limit on your table. Thankfully, the staff was kind enough to extend our time since my friend's food took a while to come out, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was a cute experience and fun to try once, but it's definitely a one-and-done for me. If I ever go back, I'll be eating beforehand.

An absolutely lovely place to stop in for Happy Hour! The cocktails were delicious and the food was even better. Our server was attentive without being obnoxious. Since it was winter, the patio wasn't open, so the seating is pretty limited. But they were kind enough to work with us. A little loud, but I think that was more the table across from us than anything else? Only wish they were open on Mondays... And a BRUNCH! Wish they did BRUNCH!!!

Another fun night at Sippin Santa 2025! This is one of our favorite Pop-Ups! We were sat upstairs for the first time. The decor upstairs is just as busy and Christmasy but it's a little quieter. The special Sippin Santa drinks were great and as usual we enjoyed our meal.

My friend and I reserved bar seats for $10 each (the donation goes to a charity of their choice). We enjoyed the atmosphere. It's a bit expensive for the portion sizes but unfortunately that's to be expected nowadays. The decor was kinda cheesy but cute.

I've been to Planter's House many times--mostly for cocktails--and haven't been disappointed yet! We recently visited in December, and they're "operating as Sippin' Santa" through December 29. They do not mess around with Christmas decorating! The place is thick with festive lights, trees, and other decorations. The usual cocktail menu is available, plus seasonal specials with a "keep the glass" option for an upcharge. Service is always friendly, and this time the bartender advised us which of the holiday offerings were his faves ("Frosty the Merman isn't going over real well but folks love the mug!") Most are fun drinks on the sweet and fruity side; after a couple we switched to the classics. Drinks have been consistently well-balanced and interesting at Planter's. It's a great place to sit at the bar for cocktails or a beer, or grab a booth with friends and enjoy dinner too.

Attentive service, expensive drink menu. Patio was closed when we were there, not sure why, but apparently that's the place to sit for this spot. Average cocktail is $15 each, really good bartenders that guided us to drinks...Chex mix snack was good. I've had the dill pickle fries before and they're pretty tasty. I recommend getting reservations as they don't usually take walk ins.

Sit on the patio. Get a cocktail (or two--there are a plethora of options). Order the fries. Thank me later. Service is so kind & friendly-- only made the experience more enjoyable!

Let's talk COCKTAILS! They are so impressive! If you are wanting a unique cocktail that is delicious and clever, go to Planter's House!!! Food is also very good. We got the cauliflower, happy house deviled eggs, and happy house nuggets and dill fries ..no complaints.

I came to Planter's House for their holiday pop up and it was so great! Very colorful lights, tasty drinks and delicious meal options. The staff was friendly and very helpful when deciding which drinks to try. I really enjoyed myself and look forward to visiting again in the future.

Great food, service, and setting. I ordered the pork belly poutine and my wife ordered the mushroom fried rice. We split the house fries with cacio e pepe. The fries and dipping sauces were fantastic. It came with a homemade ketchup and a ranch sauce. The pork belly was amazing especially with the cheese curds on top of it. I also ordered the yard sail drink. It came in a copper cup and was great. My wife ordered a non alcoholic drink which came frozen in a tiki cup, she enjoyed it. Overall, amazing time and worth it.

Stopped in for pre-dinner cocktails without reservations. Thankful we arrived a little early so we got a table. Celebrating a birthday, it was the perfect vibe we were looking for! Comfortable! Drinks were tasty good & our server Anita was knowledgeable about the extensive drink menu! Fun place.

Planters house is one of the best spots in St. Louis for a great custom cocktail. They are fantastic. Greatest ambience and friendly staff too. The food is solid, especially the fries! If you haven't been, give a try. You won't be disappointed if you love a good cocktail.

Their patio is fantastic when the weather is nice and creates a charming, upscale atmosphere. That said, the interior is just as inviting, with a romantic and moody ambiance that makes for a great evening out. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Our server, was friendly, knowledgeable, and offered great recommendations throughout the meal. You can tell the owner and chef take pride in creating a memorable dining experience. We started with the garlic herb fries, which were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. I also ordered the classic Caesar salad, and it was authentic, fresh, and perfectly executed. For my entrée, I chose the strip steak, and it was outstanding--easily one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. The cook was flawless, the flavor was incredible, and every bite showcased the chef's attention to detail. Overall, this was a 10/10 dining experience, and I can't wait to return.

The parking lot had spaces available. We walked in and there was an event space on the right and a large sofa and chairs against the back wall. Signs indicated where to go for Bellwether so we went around the windows showing the climbing wall to the elevator. Upstairs we were greeted promptly and asked if we wanted to sit inside or out. We opted for inside and she led us down one level to the second floor. I think the building is really cool, and the restaurant is well appointed, exposed brick, cool lantern hanging lamps, bookshelves filled with books and odds and ends, Waitress was friendly, there were only a couple of tables on the floor, but she wasn't intrusive and let us take out time. It filled up more by the time we left. The menu had several things I wanted to order but ended up deciding on the breakfast fried rice. We also ordered the cinnamon roll for the table. Coffee was hot and kept refilled, but it was just ok. The cinnamon roll was tasty. The fried rice was great and the fried egg on top was well cooked and tasty. One of our party ordered a side of sausage, it was four links and they were good, another ordered the pork belly sandwich and that was one of my other choices, I tried it and was impressed! I thought it would be too sweet, but it was perfect. Viewing the pictures of dinner, can't wait to go back for that and sitting outside!

I'm disappointed that it took me so long to make my way here. They won me over with the tiny dedicated parking lot. At my big age, difficult parking situations are a turn off and I will go home if I can't get reasonable parking. I was able to snag a space in the lot and headed in. The space is a bit dark with rich sage, brass, and terracotta. There are several hanging plants making it an inviting place. The bar has plenty of comfortable seating and cozy tables if you decide to bring some friends. Caleb was our server during our visit. He was an absolute delight. He made excellent cocktail suggestions. He looked after our group without being overly doting. Just a gem of a human. We tried approximately 9 cocktails during our visit. Did I mention we were at brunch! I highly recommend the peach bite and the Side Car. Every cocktail is thoughtfully made and well executed. They offer a small brunch menu along with the regular menu. I usually always get chilaquiles when they are available. But today the ruby trout and grits sounded perfect. This dish was amazing!! The trout was thin with crispy skin. The grits were creamy and delicious. The dish is topped with a house made radish pico and salsa macha. We also ordered a breakfast sandwich that was paired with the crispiest breakfast potatoes I've ever had. The burger and fries are also a good option. The seasoning on the fries is next level. The brunch menu has a sticky toffee roll that is a perfect size for sharing or not. Salty sweet fork tender cinnamon roll. Lastly, the deviled eggs were a group favorite. I am a big fan of Passenger Chili Crisp. If you are unfamiliar please look them up! It's hands down the best chili crisp I've ever had. It's locally made here in STL and can also be found in several dishes at restaurants around town. The eggs were creamy with the right amount of tang from the mustard. The chili crisp made these deviled eggs easily top five best I've ever had! Planning to stop in again soon for happy hour with more friends
