What a great time and experience Extra Wavy is! I came here for a girls night and it ended up being such a refreshing new spot for us to check out. The decor is modern and fits well with the raw bar vibe, it's still elevated and an intimate space. I was in the midst of doing dry January but the cocktails my friends received looked wonderful and well crafted. Our appetizers were all delicious: hamachi crudo (I've never had anything like that before- loved the melon/ caviar combo), whipped ricotta was fire, and loved the butter that came with the ricotta. I had the burger for my entree and it was delicious- smashed wonderfully with the manchego. The real winner tho was my friends crab pasta. I've thought about it several times since and will definitely be getting that next time. Bravo, Extra Wavy!

The food was incredible. Service was attentive, took a while to get the check but that seemed like the ambiance of the place. You sit and enjoy! Quiet and cozy

Extra Wavy absolutely rules. The staff, the thoughtfully curated ambiance, the food, the drinks - genuinely everything is top tier. I love sitting at the bar and watching the bartenders be completely in their element. They have a weeknight happy hour that is quite excellent with creative discounted drinks and unique food options - perfect for a solo bar sit. The popcorn shrimp with curry mayo was, quite frankly, one of the best apps I've ever had. On the regular menu, the Plot Twist is also one of the best drinks I've ever had. You'd have no idea it's a margarita. They also have mini martinis!! A mini espresso martini as dessert? Sign me up. Their fries are advertised as salt and vinegar flavored, but don't let it scare you! It's not super strong and pairs so nicely with the flavors of whatever delightful meal you are eating. Seriously. How do they do that? Lastly, don't sleep on the chocolate cake. My friend and I were in awe by it. I love Extra Wavy. Thank you, folks at Yellowbelly, for making this new gem of a joint.

Extra Wavy is a really fun addition to the STL food scene. The atmosphere is upbeat and stylish with that cool bar energy that makes it perfect for a night out. It feels social, a little buzzy, and great for sharing plates with friends. Cocktails were excellent and the food was fresh and creative. The lobster roll The menu has a lot of interesting options that make you want to order a few things for the table and try a bit of everything.

Came here with a friend and it was soo good. Parking lot is a bit small so I had to across the street. Once I got there, we were seated quickly. Everything on the menu looked great so we decided to split a few things. We ordered grilled oysters, salt and vinegar fries, shrimp skewers, Panzanella salad and chocolate cake for dessert. There was much more I wanted to try! Service was great! Food came out in a timely manner. The space is much larger than I remembered. Will def go again and try some of the larger plates.

Came here with a friend for the happy hour. I'd never been here before but have heard good things. It's got a nice big parking lot and we were able to get bar seats right away on a Monday night. Their menu was great with lots of yummy seafood options. We got a chicken sandwich and fries off the happy hour menu to split. Both were delicious and we were in the mood for more so we got the shrimp. A stand out for me was the cocktails. I had three. A French 75, a lemon drop martini, and the cutest little cosmo marTINY which is a baby martini. Everything tasted delicious. The inside was beautifully decorated and the wait staff was very fun. The bartender chatted with us a lot and it was enjoyable! I would love to come here again, maybe for a company happy hour.

Dined here with my husband at the end of December, but haven't been able to stop thinking about our meal since! The restaurant interior is clean and sleek, and the vibes and service are immaculate. Our waiter that evening was incredible and so attentive; he gave us some great menu recommendations and was very accommodating. For drinks, we started off with a Plot Twist (cherry limeade vibes) and a Confetti Cowboy (smooth, nutty, and slightly tart). Both drinks were exceptional! For food, we ordered the scallop crudo, crab pasta, and lamb burger. The scallop crudo was light and citrusy, and the almonds on top were an interesting and unique touch. The crab pasta was decadent and delicious, definitely a must-order if you visit! The lamb burger was also delicious and flavorful. We added the salt and vinegar fries on the side, and I'm so glad we did. The fries!!! Omg they're so good!! If you love salt and vinegar chips, you have to try these. By this time we had also ordered a couple of the mar-tiny's. We got the Perfect Martini and the Cosmopolitan. Both were well-crafted and tasty. It was a fantastic meal overall, and we would love to visit again the next time we're in St Louis.

Came back for a light dinner - my husband and I split the burger and upgraded to salt and vinegar fries. Holy crap these fries are awesome. Great service again. Drinks were awesome. Definitely a cool spot that we'll be back to.

Been back 2x and can't recommend the fish & chips and crab pasta highly enough.... We got them both times . Massive piece of fresh fried fish with my favorite salt & vinegar fries. Oysters & mignonette are delightful, as are the crudos. A surprisingly large & busy space. Love this as a great dinner spot before bopping around the Lou!

By far one of my top fav restaurants in St. Louis this year. The food at Extra Wavy is amazing. I highly recommend the baked oysters, the crab pasta, and the lobster doughnut. The service was amazing, with our server being incredibly sweet and helpful. The ambiance is unique and gives off vibes similar to Yellowbelly and The Lazy Tiger (which is all under the same group). I've been recommending Extra Wavy non-stop and am finally getting around to writing this review!

This restaurant was so good last week, had to run it back this week. Make you sure you make a reservation as they even book the bar seats. Drinks, service, and food are top tier. This restaurant is the sister company to @yellowbelly so they knew how to get things right. I highly recommend the lamb meatball, lobster donut (made with sweet potatoes), and the classic cheeseburger.

    It was the lamb meatballs!!

So where to start?, the Shazam set on auto?, The adorable design of the place with interesting art ? Or the delightful food in taste and presentation?? Or how the waitress had recommendations ready?!!!! Let's discuss the food and drink... that is a big reason I go to a restaurant.... I am a foodie... We had baked oysters with hot honey!! That's a tasty modern twist ! Then we tried the lamb meatballs... they were served in a white and red sauce.. delicious... the chicken thighs were moist... but normal.... We also had the crab pasta... great flavor there too! An incredibly pleasant experience... I will return! Oh and drinks!!!! My table favorite was frothy tequila based drink!!'

That cocktail was to DIE FOR! A friend and I had a reservation here before a concert at Enterprise Center. We picked out an entree and a starter, and shared both. The food was perfectly cooked and presented beautifully. Our server was attentive and explained everything well. The interior is lovely, though the music is loud enough that it's a struggle to hold a conversation. I just don't understand why restaurants feel the need to have their background music at such high levels.
