A heck of a happy hour! My intern and I met here for a working happy hour and it was perfect! Ample space at the table, casual but still felt elevated, and a great/ affordable menu when huge portions. We had the chicken lollipops, zucchini fries, meatballs, and espresso martinis. The espresso martinis were delightful, light but not too sweet. The food was all delicious, I especially loved the zucchini fries. Like I said, the portions were huge! We both had a bunch of food to take home. I'm Looking forward to returning for dinner!

We went here for early dinner after a matinee show at the Fox . Making reservations was easy online: the food was delicious . We loved the apps - artichoke , pulpo , cheese . We tried bunch of apps : hamburger , lobster roll, lobster gnocchi (yum!!) and a Salad with chicken. Ambience was causal and relaxed

Omg YUM! This might be my favorite place on The Hill!!! The burrata was incredible. The balsamic was my favorite part. I also loved the soft bread and arugula. Overall an awesome appetizer. I wasn't blown away by the baked ricotta though. The lobster gnocchi was delicious. Lobster was perfect, loved the creamy spicy rich sauce, and gnocchi were perfect pillows of goodness. We finished the night with chocolate cake! The water tasted a little off to me but otherwise great. Lots of seating, cute part of town, street parking. Great service too. Our waiter was very patient since we had a bigger group and he was super nice.

Unique menu - if you aren't familiar with Italian dishes, be sure to ask wait staff to describe dishes to you. We started with the lobster ravioli. Delicious, and $20 for 4 ravioli. Next fall salad (butternut squash, apples, pecans) - also delicious! My husband had the prime rib (cooked perfectly to order with a delicious serving of mashed potatoes), I had the mushroom ravioli. It was rich and a bit salty. Overall, food was well made and served promptly.

Decided to stray from our normal Hill favorites and give Marconi Mercato a try! The inside is very cute and was decorated for Christmas. We skipped apps and ordered the Bucatini Cacio E Pepe and the Nduja é Salsiccia Piccante. The Cacio E Pepe was pretty good, but it could have used more cheese. My partner didn't like the Nduja é Salsiccia Piccante very much, said it was bland. I enjoyed the mashed potatoes, they were mostly whipped but had a few chunks still which I like. The sherry green beans weren't my favorite but we were trying something new. There is a cute market right when you walk in which we would have liked to check out, but by the time we finished eating the market had closed. We may give this another try sometime and order some different items.

    Salmon and lump crab manicotti

This restaurant is open on a Monday. Do I need to say more?!? I ordered the Lombatello entree, which includes marinated hanger steak, boursin garlic herb mashed potatoes and crispy Brussel sprouts with romesco sauce. I have no idea what's in this orange sauce but I liked it. It seems like it's something in the chimichurri family but red sauces based. I can probably count on one hand how many times I have ordered boneless steak. I will say this dish "wow'd" me. It wasn't heavy and it did not skimp on flavor. Everyone else at my table ordered the jumbo lump crab manicotti. They all loved it so I made sure to taste it. I can say it was good and the packed the cheese and sauce in. One person even ordered the salmon for extra entree for lunch. Another person said it was the BEST salmon they ever had. Now I do not eat Salmon so I cannot confirm or deny that comment. Overall excellent restaurant choice. Great service, clean, good drinks (not pictured), and price was about the same as another Italian restaurant.

An absolute gem for happy hour. I went with my manager and their espresso martini did not miss. I really loved their chicken lollipops and was pleasantly surprised by their zucchini fries. The atmosphere was so calming and it's a perfect place to connect with others in St. Louis!

Went here with friends one night. I had never heard of it, but love trying new places. Parking in the hill is never easy but we were able to find a good spot. We were seated quickly and ordered appetizers. We got the burrata and cauliflower. Both appetizers were yummy and flavorful. For dinner I ordered the lobster roll. Lobster roll was just okay but the fries that came with it were yummy. It's a cute place behind the market. Noise does carry throughout it. But that might have just been someone that was really loud. Overall good dining experience and would def go back!

    Grilled octopus and pork belly

If you're looking for a dining space that is not fussy but delivers high quality food with a wide variety of menu items which could include some atypical offerings, look no further than Marconi Mercato! You enter through the market and the restaurant is located towards the back. I made a 6pm reservations and we were seated immediately. There's a bar area with dining tables closer to the restaurant entrance but we were seated at the dining area close to the kitchen. They had a sangria special which was fitting for the season (autumnal flavors). I ordered that to start and it was delicious. Then we shared some grilled octopus with sweet potato mash and pork belly. The sauce had fantastic flavors, the grilled octopus, perfectly charred in places and the pork belly was great as well. Immediate Chef's kiss with the appetizer we've chosen. I was deliberating over the lobster gnocchi and the crab manicotti but in the end I decided on the gnocchi. Fortunately enough for me, I had voiced my opinion and my husband ordered the manicotti for himself so I had the chance to try them as well. Both dishes were lovely but our waitress was right, the manicotti was richer than the gnocchi. The sauce over the gnocchi was very good and while I ate my entire lobster tail at dinner, I ended up taking home the rest of the gnocchi. I was too full for dessert, unfortunately but we did browse through the market. They have a frozen section where several flavors of their tiramisu are sold. Service was fabulous. Our waitress came to check on us at regular intervals and it seemed that they actually all help each other out as our beverage and food orders were delivered to the table by available staff in a timely manner. Our table was also cleared off of dirty dishes fairly quickly which is always a great thing to see. I would definitely come back. With such an extensive menu, I'm sure I will not go home hungry or disappointed. I was especially eyeing the wagyu ribeye and would love to try it next visit!

One of my favorite bar tops in STL for a great lunch or dinner experience! Food is super fresh, staff super friendly and the atmosphere is what you'd expect on the Hill aka feels like home for a Sunday dinner

Entering in through the market side, you're greeted with a delightful variety of Italian favorites, everything you need to make your dishes at home. Walk straight to find the restaurant entrance where the Bar section is first and Dining area 2nd. This place is surprisingly larger than it looks from the outside and with the 2 spaces is great for type of atmosphere you need. Great variety on the menu. We stated with the friend zucchini, ample size for sharing, great crunch and dips. For the entree I went with the Crab Manicotti, huge portion. Good flavor, had to ask for extra sauce to support the size of the pasta. Tiramisu and an Espresso Martini for dessert rounded out the meal. Our server was great! She was friendly and attentive, fun personality! Overall a great time!

This is still my favorite Italian restaurant on the hill! Food, vibe and service are all excellent. The wild boar pasta is one of my very favorite dishes in St. Louis. It's hard for me to get anything else here when I come back. We also had the lobster gnocchi and mushroom ravioli, which were also excellent.

I've been here twice now and had a great experience both times. Our waitress was amazing--she offered suggestions and was very personable and attentive throughout the meal. We started with the ricotta al forno, which is an absolute must-try. We also split the fall panzanella salad, which was incredibly refreshing. I highly recommend ordering one of their pastas--everything is made fresh, and you can truly taste the difference. We had the Maine lobster gnocchi and the 'Nduja e salsiccia piccante. Both dishes were creamy, rich, and packed with flavor. Don't skip dessert either--the tiramisu and olive oil cake were both excellent. The bar side has a lively, fun atmosphere that adds to the overall experience. The market at the front of the restaurant is adorable and features a great selection of pastas and sauces from all over St. Louis.

There was a small wait for a party of three but the staff was super welcoming and courteous. The ambiance was cool - the outdoor area was super inviting. It was slightly too chilly to sit outside for dinner, though. Once we were seated our server was a little cold - but we never waited for anything and she kept our drinks full so it's hard to criticize too much - she just could've had better "table side manner". The food menu is relatively small - but good. The food my party had was well prepared. Good drink and beer menu and an adequate draft selection - although the first two beers I asked for were no longer in stock so I ended up going with a domestic. All in all a good experience. 4 out of 5. I'd love to go back when it is slightly warmer and sit outside. Casual ambiance. Family friendly.
