    Irish-ish Coffee

Okay, this place doesn't get the love it deserves. It's right there when you walk into City Foundry, and we KNOW we're all stoppin' in for a beer or cocktail, but then we get further in and Yelp all the food places, but maybe forget about The Kitchen Bar. I know I have. First time here, I ordered a Bloody Mary, but no picture and no review. I remember that it was good. SHAME on me! This time I ordered a Irish-ish Coffee. Must say... DELICIOUS!!! LOVE this place Give 'em some LOVE Yelpers!

This is the one space at the Foundry that could use some work. They do have a good selection of beers, wine, and cocktails, but the service could use some help. 1- their menu is a QR code so you have to have your phone to scan (I have trying to do more phoneless outings so this could be a struggle who is trying something similar). 2- there is no way to signal one of the bar staff that you are ready to order, need a refill, or close your tab. 3- the bar staff are either over-stretched or under-trained (or both). It is hard to catch their eye to note you need something. They are not consistent at keeping track of who has already been waiting. Something that would really improve my experiences here would be some operations structures. For instance, if the menu is going to be a QR code, why not link to an online ordering page instead of a PDF? Add a little flag system to each seat where a certain color raised means you are ready for your tab/order a new drink/etc. (think like what Pieces has done).

We decided to check out City Foundry last night, and took up residence at this bar for a couple hours. The entire Foundry is a really cool space, and The Kitchen Bar is in the middle of it. There was a DJ a few feet away and the entrance is nearby, and several people stopped to check it out. So it was fun and there were many others with whom we could interact, but because of the open space, it never felt too crowded. My favorite thing about this bar is that it only offers local liquor. It even had some beers from Scratch Brewing, which I was personally excited to see. We tried a couple beers from Logboat and Heavy Riff, and then switched things up and ordered a drink from their cocktail menu called Last Splash, which featured a watermelon rum from Naked Spirits. It tasted like a light beach drink, the flavors were subtle and overall it was really refreshing. While our trip to City Foundry began as a quick stop to grab some food and drink before our next destination, it extended into the highlight of our evening. We had a great time, we loved the atmosphere, and loved the loyalty to local breweries and distilleries. We will be back!

All super classic but unique. My favorite was the espresso martini, which had a great slightly sweet tastes without the strong alcohol taste. I hope to be back for their happy hour sometime soon!

The vibe is moody, intimate, and effortlessly cool--perfect for a date night or just a really elevated night out. The cocktails are incredible--creative, beautifully presented, and honestly some of the best I've had. Every drink feels intentional and a little unexpected in the best way. But what really makes it special is the experience as a whole. The space, the energy, the attention to detail--it all just works. It's one of those spots you don't want to leave... and immediately start planning your next visit. Absolutely one of my favorite places in St. Louis.

Hidden Gems in St. Louis -- and darling, the name is not exaggerating…read more I had the absolute pleasure of attending a birthday celebration here and let me tell you... this place is a vibe, a moment, and a whole sparkling experience. The space is intimate, stylish, and perfectly appointed -- the kind of place that feels like you've stumbled into a secret little jewel box in the city. It's cozy in the best possible way, with an atmosphere that invites laughter, celebration, and maybe just a little fabulous mischief. The bartenders? Absolute pros. Warm, welcoming, and clearly masters of their craft. Naturally, I ordered my classic gin and tonic, and it was perfection in a glass -- crisp, balanced, and exactly what a proper G&T should be. I heard from the birthday boy and his wonderful wife that the owners were incredibly accommodating, and you could feel that hospitality throughout the entire evening. Everything felt effortless and welcoming -- the kind of place where people clearly care about creating a great night. And then... the party truly began. We had drag queens serving glamour and joy, music, laughter echoing through the room, and pizza delivered from the birthday boy's favorite local pizza spot that honestly deserves its own standing ovation. If you want to know where that pizza came from, drop a comment -- because it was outrageously good. By the end of the night I couldn't stop thinking: this place really is a Hidden Gem. A perfect little pocket of St. Louis where good drinks, great people, and a bit of fabulous chaos come together. Sparkle-tastic. Gem-tastic. Pure joy. Highly recommend discovering this hidden gem for yourself. -- Big Daddy Tedd Energy

The upstairs lounge is perfect if you want to hang out with friends or just take a break and rest your feet for a bit. I absolutely love that space and how comfy it is. One of the biggest perks of Hidden Gems is their back room, which allows them to host events and fun pop-up experiences. I've been to a few, and most recently attended the "Taylor Swift: Bejeweled" experience. The space was decked out in all things Taylor, with every era clearly represented. Giant friendship bracelets hung from the ceilings and lined the walls, which was such a fun touch. And of course, there were plenty of photo ops with my close personal bff, Taylor herself! The drink menu was themed to match the eras, with tons of creative options. My friends and I tried several cocktails, along with a few NA options as well. I really appreciate that they offer non-alcoholic drinks as I've been cutting back on alcohol over the past few months, and it's nice to still have fun choices that actually taste good! The Mirrorball was easily my favorite drink of the night. It tasted just like an orange creamsicle and was served in a disco ball...so good and so fun. My last drink of the night was "So Long London," which was almost like a dessert in a glass. Highly recommend ending your night with that one!

This is the original pop-up holiday bar, and it's everything you want in a seasonal escape: warm, delightful, a little bit tacky in the best possible way, and bursting with love. From the second you walk in, it's a full-on sensory sleigh ride -- twinkling lights, over-the-top décor, and a playlist that makes you feel like you've just stepped into a Hallmark movie (with a better soundtrack). The cocktails are inventive, festive, and downright delicious -- second only to the truly amazing staff who pour them with so much personality. It's fun, it's magical, and it's a DO NOT miss for the holiday season in St. Louis. Come for the drinks, stay for the vibes, and leave with a little more holiday spirit than you came in with.

For the karaoke, you go up to the KJ get into the queue, and then add your songs across the evening for each of your turns. There was quite a variety being sung. You sing in front of the fireplace. There is a little bit of room to dance around the edges but not much. Despite being a "nonsmoking" bar, there were patrons vaping indoors and there was a cigarette smell inside (perhaps wafting in from the smokers outside?). The ladies bathroom was very clean. There is free parking outside in their attached lot, but you might have to get creative if you get there later in the night, as the lot gets crowded.
