First time at revel bowls and was expecting something similar to a cava or chipotle or other fast casual places! Was told that when you get the small bowl you only get one thing from each category so instead of going thru and figuring out which one thing I wanted I ordered one of the pre-set bowls. I got the prime time bowl and it's so incredibly drenched, it needed some sort of rice base to soak up everything from the mushrooms, beef and sauce. I got the southerner and it wasn't very impressive. It has pulled pork in it, however the meat was very dry & grey, it tasted like turkey it was weird. The Carolina bbq sauce tasted very mustardy which I just felt like didn't pair well with the bowl, the foods were bland overall. The portion was big though. **After I wrote this review, they ended up refunding the entire bill** I generally really love this place. The food is great, it feels very healthy, and the people working inside the actual restaurants taking orders in person are friendly. Last week I had a very bad experience, however. I ordered online for delivery. The order that was delivered was completely wrong; the bag had someone else's name on it. I contacted the restaurant through the website. Twice. After the second time, the owner finally emailed me back. It was like pulling teeth trying to convince her that I should be compensated for this, as the meal that was delivered was something that no one in my household could eat due to food sensitivities. Finally she agreed to fill my rewards points with enough points to cover the costs of the meal. That took days and more emails. She eventually did it, and compensated me $10. The meal was $14.99 before tax. I just gave up and came straight here. In conclusion; food is great. People working at the buildings are nice. The owner is not at all willing to do things to make it right after her restaurant makes a mistake. read more

Just discovered this place and wish it was closer to me. Loved my lunch. You can a wrap or bowl. Bowls come in 2 sizes, I got the large and plenty for another meal. You can pick which ingredients you want in the bowl. My main protein was the smoked salmon (you do have to pay extra for that). The chicken also looked really good. The garlic aioli was the bomb!!! I've seen Revel Kitchen in Brentwood/Richmond Heights but never stopped by. The newest location just opened in Maplewood though and I was excited to give it a try. The building was previously a Jack In The Box so there is a convenient drive thru if you're in a hurry. I love the outdoor seating, even though it's on busy Manchester Road, it's a nice option when it's a beautiful day. You place your order at the counter and they bring the food to your table when it's ready. Neither my husband nor I had ate at Revel Kitchen before so we didn't even know where to start. For the bowls, it's all build your own. When trying a newer restaurant it's nice to have options that are already the "tried and true" so we had to make our best guesses and hope it all tasted good together! The salads and wraps have several options on the menu or you can build your own. My husband ordered a bowl with quinoa, sweet potatoes, tofu, peanut miso, and pickled onion. I ordered brown rice, sautéed mushrooms, chicken, peanut miso, and pickled onion. I also added sriracha on top :) Both of us enjoyed our bowls and would get them again. I ordered Revel Kitchen for pick up. The online ordering simple was very nice. It had lots of customizations which made it easy to order exactly what you want. I don't see this at most places. My husband picked up the food and said they had a nice pick up system and it was really quick. I also like how affordable it is especially for healthy eating. I ordered a custom large bowl with my protein being chicken. The chicken was tasty and very tender. I also got carrots, zucchini, broccoli and sweet potato as vegetables. Each one of the veggies was fresh and seasoned nicely. My top vegetable would probably be the carrots or sweet potatoes. I think I would skip the broccoli in the future because the other veggies were seasoned better and I can make steamed broccoli at home. The beans and rice were also very good. The sauce I choose was the tahani sauce. It tied in the flavors of the bowl nicely. My husband did a custom bowl as well with the pulled pork. The pork was juicy and flavorful. He also really enjoyed his meal with zero complaints. We were both suprised how filling the bowls were and agreed we would probably be fine with a small in the future. Neither of us finished but it will make for good leftovers. We have been here multiples before and it's always been great! We love it for a quick healthy dinner or lunch. This was our first visit back to Revel, post COVID. We have always enjoyed grabbing lunch here when in the area. Everything tasted fresh, with bold flavors. My only complaint with the food is that the sweet potatoes were way undercooked and very crunchy. The biggest surprise of the visit was the appearance of the restaurant. I do understand and realize this is a very small, narrow space where work space is at a premium, but the kitchen "stuff" was out in the rear of the restaurant where the customer gets drinks, condiments, napkins, etc. There was Crisco, bowls, plastic storage, etc. sitting out for all to see. Not a pleasant site. Hopefully they were just reorganizing the kitchen or something and this stuff was just not put back in place yet. I first tried their products that they recently started selling at Schnucks and loved them, so it inspired me to place an order for take-out. Today I got the large bowl with pulled pork, mojo chicken, roasted zucchini, garlic mushrooms, and double cauliflower rice, with the cilantro lime sauce on the side. The quality was there, with the meat and veggies all perfectly cooked and seasoned. It almost reminded me of a meal that I would get at a high-end hibachi grill, where it just tastes super fresh and not sitting around all day. I liked everything equally and truly can't choose a favorite! The cauli-rice was also excellent with a great texture and was the perfect base. I highly suggest getting the sauce on the side because every bite had so much flavor, it's really worth tasting everything first without covering it with a sauce.
