did not ask for granola or strawberry's, did not add any coconut.

me and my friends went here to get açaí bowls, the guy was not letting us choose what we wanted in the bowl and started putting things we didn't ask for in the bowl. The guy made me and my friends very uncomfortable and kept staring at my freinds newborn baby. The bowls were melted and not every good. 11 bucks for a bowl that is small and not what i asked for. Took forver too.

Rush Bowls, like another reviewer had mentioned, is like the next level Jamba Juice. They have a large variety of bowl and smoothie options but the bowls don't come with all the toppings. In comparison to Jamba, where you can get a fully-loaded açai (or other variety) bowl complete with fresh fruit toppings and granola, Rush offers a bowl topped with granola and honey only. If you are like myself and prefer the fresh fruit toppings, you will end up paying almost 3 times as much for your bowl. And the size? Not really much bigger than what you can get from Jamba for slightly over $6. My legendary bowl, which I am guessing is their traditional açai topped with starwberries, banana slices, almonds and coconut came up to a whopping $16! My bowl from Jamba Juice with the toppings mentioned previously was still only slightly over $6. As far as taste and quality, I also prefer Jamba Juice's bowl better. The frozen things from Rush was slightly slimy. I'm not sure what that was about but the strange texture was very noticeable. I took my bowl home. It was overfilled and a bit sticky from the honey that got all over the bowl and the lid. Perhaps they should consider not overfilling the bowl with the frozen ingredients especially if toppings are added. The toppings, for being the source of the majority of my highly priced bowl, were also minimal compared to what I normally get elsewhere. Maybe consider a better ratio for ingredients? Overall, the place was nice and clean. The staff were nice and helpful. They have a couple of tall tables inside if you want to enjoy your bowl there, but otherwise, not really much room for big parties. Their menu is quite extensive but you do pay quite a bit unless you want a simple bowl. In that case, I recommend perhaps just getting a smoothie! I love the concept and the options but I'm not sure I'd choose this place over another option equidistant to my house.

I came here with a coupon and it was such a refreshing treat after dinner. I ordered the Berry Fresh bowl with blueberry, strawberry, raspberry juice, frozen yogurt, topped with their AMAZING crunchy organic granola and drizzled with honey. The kids bowls come with colorful sprinkles on top too which is a nice fun touch. Dessert has never tasted so healthy...I feel like this would a be a great summer staple when I'm craving something cold and refreshing!

After moving back from Southern California my husband and I have been scouring the St. Louis area for the perfect açaí bowl place. Rush had one person working so service was pretty slow and he had his friends visiting him which slowed down the process even more. The açaí bowl was more like a smoothie with how melted it was and the strawberries that I paid $1 extra for was disappointing. Pretty sure I paid $1 for 1 strawberry.... All in all the "açaí bowl" wasn't bad tasting but as a whole I am not inclined to come back.

I went to Rush Bowl for a quick breakfast, and it took a bit longer than expected since there were only two employees working (one on register and the other making bowls/smoothies). Everything looks nice and new inside and I was impressed with the number of options available on the menu (for especially the bowls but also the smoothies). This place reminded me of a Jamba Juice with a larger focus on the bowls. However please take note: many of the bowls do not include toppings---you must order them as an extra (which is an additional charge). While the bowls at Jamba Juice often include the fruit toppings within their price, Rush Bowl decides to have many fruit toppings as an add-on. This is great for customization, but a little frustrating since most of the delicious pictures you see everywhere does not represent the base menu item. Failure to acknowledge toppings as an add-on will likely leave you with basically a smoothie in a bowl with some granola on top.

I like Rush Bowls, not only cause it's a healthy meal option but because it tastes really good. the fruit is fresh and the bowls I have had were very refreshing and perfect for the summer cus it also helps to cool you down. There's no bad bowls so u can pretty much wing it if it's your first time:)

Ordered the Avocado and Beach bowls and added almond butter to each. Personally, I was not a fan of the avocado bowl, it tasted like baby food. The beach bowl was good. I was overcharged (menu advertises toppings are $1 but I was charged $1.50). I emailed the store to let them know and they promptly responded and refunded me. This was my first time going to a Rush Bowls so maybe I should have examined the menu a bit more before ordering but overall this is good healthy food option to come to Kirkwood. Be aware of the time it takes to make the bowls (10 mins or so). Also, any toppings are an additional charge (sliced fruits, almond butter, etc.)

Still new to this place, but so far I've liked what I had. The service was exceptional they made sure I liked what I bought before I left.

The perfect quick and healthy breakfast, lunch, or even dinner. There are lots of green options and the menu items are totally customizable with added protein, toppings, and fruits. They also have seasonal bowls which are fun to try. I usually stick with the high veggie green bowls and always feel refreshed and not weighed down after enjoying. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating and is in a beautiful space with lots of parking. Highly recommend for a healthy meal!

The quality has not wavered once. I ordered what I always order: The Combo (fried eggs, maplewood smoked bacon, cheese, brioche toast), extra egg, extra bacon. Most kitchens treat a fried egg as binary (runny or ruined). Songbird has mastered the middle register: lacy edges with a yolk that stays glossy and intact right up until the first bite. I ordered them over hard, and they came out a bit closer to over medium, but they were just as good as I wanted them to be. The bacon carries real smoke. This is a decadent sandwich, big enough that half of it would make a light breakfast; I wasn't remotely hungry after one, the second half was indulgent. The service made the move too. The hostess still recognizes returning customers, and the bigger room finally lets the dining experience breathe. The service at the table could have been a little warmer as we've had it the past, but it is still professional. I was there with two close college buddies, one of whom declared his latte excellent. I keep meaning to get adventurous with the menu, but it is genuinely hard to find a bacon, egg, and cheese toasted this perfectly, and I'd go twice in one day if given the opportunity. 4.8 A full five arrives the day when I can arrive first thing on a Saturday without a 30 minute wait, honestly, it's hard to get a reservation here because of its popularity. I wanted my toast's jam to be on the side and they said no. It was a thick tasteless brick without the jam. The items are not as traditional for a breakfast spot, and when I asked the server what they were known for she said the drinks.... They also run a tight turnaround time so they will make you feel uncomfortable when its time to clear your table and pay the bill because they will tell you the next reservation is in 5minutes. The plates were all different and my guest who got a sandwich had her food come out in a plastic fry basket instead of the nicer plates. Odd. As I mentioned earlier, they are not kid friendly as they don't have a kids menu or kid friendly items like fruit and pancakes. We ordered a side of avocado and chicken sausage as those were the safest for us. Also there are no changing tables in the restrooms. Accessibility note: the entrance is a giant multi-slope and 1 turn ramp into a cramped lobby. The men's restroom is the only one on the main floor and female restroom is tucked far in the backroom inaccessible due to a steep step in the back. It is not wheelchair or walker friendly.

We were greeted by one of the nicest and overwhelmingly insulting people I have ever met. We "had to have been from out of town" because "if you were local you wouldnt have imagined coming here without a reservation." Then we spent the next 10 minutes trying to walk back to our car while having an app explained to us so "you can check for open tables at other places." There were maybe 3 people eating in the entire front area. So out of towner's, dont spend the 5 minutes looking for parking and the 5 minutes walking to this establishment to be treated like some peasant commoner who is sullying their establishment.

Whether it is the quaintly appointed guest…read morerooms or the delightful library and parlor, each area of this former residence is unique and meticulously maintained. While it is not likely the norm, the owners, Mark & Leslie, met us at the front door, quite literally inviting us into their establishment. It was simply the most welcoming manner in which to be introduced to this treasure and Leslie quickly engaged us with the history of the home and how she and Mark had recently become the owners. We chose this destination based upon the significance of the Fleur-de-lis to my love, a native New Orleanian. Given St. Louis' rich French heritage, the mansion was originally outfitted with four chimneys that feature the fleur-de-lis design and the pattern is repeated throughout the home. While we enjoyed a quiet morning coffee in the back of the property, a lovely shaded patio area, she noticed how many places the symbol was present. She actually made mention to Mark & Leslie that they could make an activity out of counting/finding all of the fleur-de-lis around the home. What a fun idea! We were fortunate enough to book the Tower Grove Park room, a spacious room fitted with a king-size bed and a two-person jacuzzi tub. There is even a 'fainting couch' for that extra French touch! The bed was amazingly comfortable and the decor and accoutrements were exceptional, right down to the pocket doors and writing desk. But a B&B is set apart by the fare served in the morning, and this is where Mark, a chef by trade, and Leslie, a self-taught baker, knock it out of the park. That morning's menu included a fruit starter, fresh juice, Leslie's home-baked sourdough toast and home-baked English muffins, and Mark's egg and sausage soufflés with country potatoes. The entire breakfast had us completely over the moon! We felt so at home that we wanted to clear our own place - so we did! The rates are competitive and well worth every moment spent here. There is parking behind the property, as well as across from the property, and each guest is allowed a unique security code so as to gain entry while you are enjoying your stay. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this getaway, and Mark, Leslie, & assistant Sammy made us feel like family from the moment we crossed the threshold. We'll be back - and you should give Fleur-de-Lys a try!
