French toast w compote and sausage Patty.

I had the berries and cream blueberry biscuit and coffee after fasting for some blood work I had done at quest on Kirkwood road. It was delicious but I really wanted to try the French toast biscuit. For some reason at 8:15 on a rainy Monday morning they were out?! Oh well. The coffee and what I had was good. Service was okay, ambiance of place is cute.

The food tasted great! I got the breakfast burrito and obviously couldn't wait for one picture before I took a bite. I have a fairly larger than normal appetite and still this burrito filled me up! I got a biscuit as well and had a bite of their sausage and so as far as the food taste it was great! Their indoor seating is unfortunately extremely small but if you go during a time of the year it feels great outside they have plenty of room. It's a little overpriced for the food in my opinion but the service was great and they were very friendly. Will definitely be back at some point.

We bee-lined over to Honey Bee's Biscuits and the buzz is real! This biscuit haven had us feeling like part of the hive -- buttery layers stacked high with breakfast happiness. We went all-in with:* Sausage + Egg + Cheese Sammie* Bacon + Egg + Cheese Sammie* Cinnamon Roll * Hashbrowns* Seasonal Peach Biscuit Great food, cute patio, stellar service, and prices that make breakfast plans a no-brainer -- what better way to begin the day?

Original Sausage Gravy and Biscuit - ordered to go

I was craving biscuit and gravy and I didn't have the ingredients to make them at home. I've been here before because of a Yelp event but I couldn't remember if I liked the biscuits or not. So I decided to give it another try. It's a cute corner resturant with plenty of outside seating and limited dining in. They had a lot of staff but a bit slow with taking orders. I ordered the biscuit and regular gravy with a mixed berry ice tea. The tea was so good. Not too sweet and the mixed berry flavor was just right. I wish they offered a bigger cup because I would definitely order a large. My food, very filling and the sausage gravy was really good. My biscuit, a little too hard for me. I wish it was a fluffy biscuit with a light crisp on the outside. It seems a bit hard throughout. I came around noon so maybe that's why but I feel this biscuit was cooked too long. Or maybe that's how they are meant to be made. I'd say try it but it's not for me.

This is not your ordinary biscuit joint! Me and my taste buds were thoroughly surprised upon taking that first bite, it was super soft and fluffy. The peaches and creme on top was a but too sweet for me, but I'd still eat a second and third one lol The manager was really friendly and made sure I was able to get my order even when they had to close early.

We finally got around to trying honey bee's! These biscuits are huge and filling! Really liked all the savory and sweet biscuits we ordered to try. The biscuits are not very soft and flaky, they have a honey glazed crust which is delicious and gives it more of a crunch bite. The gravy is delicious and the hash browns taste so good dipped in it. There's a parking lot in the back near the Session Taco or there's street parking. Limited seating indoors and there's a good amount of covered seating outside. Workers were really nice.

If I could put no stars I would, completely disappointed. Overpriced, plenty of breakfast spots don't waste your money here. Where do I start.. mystery secret sauce on sandwich wasn't listed, cajun seasoning on the hash brown ALSO wasn't listed, "banana bread" biscuit comes out as a plain burnt biscuit so you charged me double for nothing? Then asked about it and they said they didn't have any of the toppings but could put some banana whip cream on it why didn't you do that in the first place? Place was cute but wasn't well taken care of floors definitely hadn't been cleaned in some time. Staff standing over gross towels laying on the floor in the back.. pick it up?

Always yummy! The biscuits are massive! They have so many options! I highly recommend a plain biscuit with jelly or even their biscuit gravy yummm!

Walked in and the guy at the counter was so joyful and silly, it made my whole morning. He was sing song "thank you for coming today" to everyone. The food was amazing! My husband and I each ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and I ordered a pumpkin biscuit. Both were phenomenal! Highly recommend. We went around 10:30am on a Friday and it wasn't busy at all.

I decided to come here on a Saturday morning to get a fresh biscuit. I was able to find some street parking, but there is a large public parking lot behind the store with available spots. It is a small restaurant with seating both indoors and outdoors. The inside tables are very limited and fill up quickly. I ended up finding more open tables outside. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich, a blueberry biscuit, and the Bee Kind (iced vanilla coffee). All of the staff were very nice and respectful. The wait time for my food was under 10 minutes. The coffee was good, a basic vanilla coffee. The sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit was my favorite thing I ate. The sandwich was warm, full of flavor, and filling. The biscuit did fall apart as I was eating it, but it was still good. The blueberry biscuit is what I won't order again. The biscuit was clearly overcooked, hard, and dry. It had a nice blueberry flavor, but I prefer my biscuits to be softer and flakier. While I enjoyed my food, I'm not sure if I'll be coming back here.

Honey bees is a great restaurant for brunch in Kirkwood. It has lots of outdoor seating options and the rather long line moves quickly. I stopped by recently and got the pumpkin special which was delicious and came out quick. The last time I went I got the biscuit and gravy and it was a little on the salty side so I stuck to sweet this visit. My daughter got a honey butter biscuit and a side of bacon. They have some creative flavors for their coffee but the lattes aren't my favorite...although it hasn't deterred me from continuing to order them. Definitely recommend popping in for brunch.

Honey Bee's Biscuits is an awesome breakfast spot in Kirkwood. They offer a wide variety of biscuits/biscuit combos, both savory and sweet, as well as coffee, and tea. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese biscuit and got their signature gravy on the side. The gravy is an additional $5 but is totally worth it and elevated the biscuit sandwich to the next level. The portion sizes are ginormous and I was full for hours! It was super busy when I came in and all of the indoor seating was taken. This was such a nice treat to have on a Saturday morning and I know that I will be dreaming about the gravy tonight!

The absolute worst biscuit egg, bacon sandwich I have ever had in my life. What kind of eggs do they use because I have never seen anything like it. Nor have I ever tasted anything like it. One bite and I threw it in the trash. The price was unbelievable for two sandwiches, a coffee and a juice, and a side of gravy. It was $37.00 Our first and last time there.

I had my first dinner of my stay at Olive + Oak, and it blew me away from the moment I laid my eyes on it. From the unsuspecting street outside, the giant windows glow with the warm, sparkling light from within. An elegant dining room with a beautiful bar and a good amount of hustle and bustle. I felt like I was at an upscale New Orleans joint. Very cozy. Service was just as beautiful. Our server was extremely nice, new the menu backwards and forwards, and rattled off the nightly specials without hesitation. And on top of all of that, when we were getting some stuff to-go, she threw in more bread for us! You can't train that level of service. That's just a good person. Onto the food. We started off with the Blue Crab Gratin (calabrian chili, celery + pretzel bread). This was ooey, gooey, cheesy, delicious, had a fair amount of crab in it, had a nice little kick, and the sliced, crunchy pretzel bread dippers were exquisite. Something seasonal that isn't on their menu anymore, we ordered an Okonomiyaki, which is a savory Japanese pancake, basically, covered in sauce. Wow, this thing was done well. Very reminiscent of the authentic thing I've had in Japan. Very nice. Another dish that isn't on the menu anymore, the Catfish dish. It was slightly Asian and on top of some sort of risotto rice. I can't remember exactly, but I do remember that it was very well cooked, had a nice char. An eclectic dish that came together very nicely. I also got to try some of the Rabbit Crepe (port wine braised rabbit, blueberry, fennel, arugula + kenny's bleu gouda crepe). Some people might shudder at the idea of eating rabbit. Those people need to grow up. Rabbit is one of the most succulent, delicious meats out there, and in this wonderful flavor combination, in a crepe. This chef is genius. I could have downed two of these things. We finished off the night with the recommended Cloud Cake (vanilla chiffon cake, coconut pastry cream, coconut + whipped cream icing). This thing was de-ca-dent. A nice, thicc sponge, a very coconuty cream, and a whipped icing with lots of coconut pulp in it. So heavenly. Overall, my socks were blown off. Not only does St. Louis have good food, this was a better meal than I had in Nashville and Kansas City. Who would have guessed. I would love to come back.

We shared mussels, the beet salad, the soup flight, and the pot roast. Everything was good and tasted well prepared. The mussel broth was flavorful. The soups were excellent. The pumpkin and pear soup leaned toward a dessert profile but fit the season perfectly. The beet salad was not the typical style. The beets had a crisp texture you do not usually see, but the flavor was good and the goat cheese worked well. The pot roast was also solid with tender meat and plenty of flavor. Dessert was the coconut chocolate pie. It had sliced almonds that added some crunch and the portion was large enough to share. Drinks included the brandy margarita and the elderflower gimlet. Both were fine but the margarita was the standout. The cognac note gave it a deeper flavor. Overall, a pleasant dinner with good food and a cozy setting. I would return. This is the perfect spot to bring pretty much everybody, maybe not vegan, but plenty of options for vegetarians and pescatarians. A crowd pleaser. 4/5 because although it's good and solid. Don't think any dish blew me away. But that prob will not stop us from considering it again.

It was just enough for one person to eat if they were Hungry, but feasibly could be enough for two with small appetites. There were a good number of shrimp and crab legs and they were fresh and tasty. I don't like sausage so I didn't eat that but I did eat the potatoes and corn and they were delicious soaked in the liquid from my boil. I have been looking for a decent boil because my daughter also loves boils and down south where we lived for quite some time there are plenty. Storming crab will be our go to place for boils. It was really very good. Also let me add before I end, one thing that drew me here was prices. I don't mind paying for a good boil but I do mind if it is too much for me to eat and half gets thrown out. It was nice to find a place that had a good boil for one person that was priced well for the food received. I am very happy with my decision to go here and will definitely be back.
