Located close to Barnes, we walked here for brunch on a Tuesday morning having never been here before. Located in the central west end neighborhood. A very nice outdoor seating area. Indoors was nice as well. We were seated right away. Everything you'd want on a breakfast/brunch menu, including fun boozy options. Staff was extremely friendly and efficient. I don't really have anything negative to point out about this experience. If I had to be nit picky I wish they had draft beer - they only have can/bottle options. I would definitely go back here to experience more menu items. The outdoor area on a sunny and warm late morning with a cocktail was fantastic.

Buffalo Chicken Salad w/Caesar dressing and a side of bacon and a tall glass of orange juice

Upon entering seating was very quick but I choose the bar seats in the end. Immediately greeted by a nice young lady that was training then a guy came in happy as ever to relieve the trainer and take the order. End up doing the Buffalo chicken salad but instead of Ranch I did Caesar dressing and I also got a tall glass of orange juice as they offer both short and tall and then I also got a side of bacon. Honestly, Dolly disappointment to me out of the entire experience would've had to have been the bacon because even from the photo you can see, I thought the bacon was gonna be thicker. It was gonna be better. I feel like if it's three pieces like that. It needs to be more like five pieces of bacon for five dollars, but nonetheless my experience was nice. The bartenders were amazing. I got to try a nice diner, so it was a very nice experience and I will definitely be back me and my best friend are already planning our next trip here.

A very short walk from the Chase Park Royal Sonesta Hotel, we thought we would save a little money for breakfast. While less expensive than the hotel breakfast, it also wasn't as good. Service suffered from a lack of good communication between the two hosts and our server, our server was good though. Pancakes were good and a good deal. Coffee was good but the latte drinks came in those awkward oversized coffee cups that require a two hand heft and they cool off too fast. The oatmeal was tepid and unpleasantly al dente. Yes I now know that's what they mean by overnight oatmeal but I didn't know that until we ordered it. Sometimes you can tell a trend is going to be short lived. Either pay more for better breakfast at the hotel, or drive through the enormous Forest Park to Courtesy Diner for a much better deal.

A delightful brunch. My family, off duty service dog, and I were delighted to enjoy a beautiful patio brunch. The wait was over 30mins as the seating is limited for the patio, but worth the wait to enjoy sunshine and a mimosa flight! The flight was enough for 1 person or share with another. We tried the kids custom breakfast with a giant pancake, sausage patty, and fresh fruit. There was only 1 kid option but the customization was great for us. My partner got protein oatmeal (contains PB) and the southern comfort. The oatmeal can come hot or cold and was a great portion if thats all you wish to eat. The SC was underwhelming because the waffle was thick as well as the gravy. I got the chicken and waffles and can agree the waffles are thick and have a slight sweetness. The chicken tenders were dry for me but if they marinate the chicken then it could be a great improvement as the batter is seasoned. The venue is obviously noisy as the patio is on the corner of euclid so you hear and see it all on one of the busiest intersections of the CWE. The venue has accessible seating and family friendly restrooms.

Met a friend here for lunch. I loved how bright and open it was. It is a fairly big place too so plenty of space between tables. Our server was super nice. I ordered the smash burger with cheese and was a bit disappointed in it. Just tasted Ho hum. It had lettuce and tomato on it but maybe pickles would have been a good addition. But I was really there for the company so it matter. I did get a cold brew coffee as well but without ice!! unfortunately server filled the cup so full there was no room to add water or barely room for cream. That meant it was super strong. But really not her fault - I should have told her. My friend loves the veggie hash here. It did look good.

Stopped in for a late lunch. Staff was so friendly getting us seated and helping us make a decision. We both decided on lunch options, and they were fantastic! We even found ourselves looking around at what others orders too because it looked so good! Plus, adorable patio!

I grabbed takeout from here for brunch since I was staying at a hotel in the area. The vibe inside is so cute! Definitely like an elevated diner feel and their menu definitely has something for everyone. I ordered through their site and my pickup time was about an hour after I ordered. It was ready right on time and still hot when I got it back to my room. I got the BLTA sandwich that comes with fries. I really loved their fries. They were the type that has a crunchy batter on them which I love. They stayed crispy, especially for being takeout. The sandwich had lots of great elements, but it was way too dry for me. It had garlic aioli on it, but there was really barely any on there. I loved the addition of the avocado and how they do fried green tomatoes instead of regular tomatoes. But it desperately needed something to cut all the breading. I even asked for an extra side of garlic aioli to dip my fries in and they didn't give me that much. Overall, this is a cute spot for brunch in the area and I would try dining in if I was back in this area again!

We were visiting the CWE in St.Louis and saw a cute patio so decided to eat here. The staff was super friendly and helpful in making our lunch choices. The food came out quickly, hot and delicious! I would certainly go again and try something new!

From Oklahoma visiting son. Food was great! Atmosphere was great although we were freezing from a cold draft from down the hallway. (It was a cold day.) Love the name and story behind it. Server was good but never asked for refills or to go drinks and with their prices, that would have been appreciated. Once we got check, she never returned. Everything was very overpriced for portions. $9 for plain waffle, no meat.

My favorite food is breakfast, so I decided to celebrate a milestone with brunch. My expectations were high based on my last visit, and overall I still had a good time. The restaurant just has those feel-good breakfast vibes that set the tone for a great outing. This time, though, I didn't love my drink (the Kingside Refresher - Mango), and the special, (the Birria & Eggs Wrap), was just okay for me. But the house potatoes! Absolute perfection. They should honestly be available as a side with every meal. Will visit again soon to see if l just ordered poorly on my last visit.

Kingside Diner in St. Louis is a must-visit spot! I ordered the strawberry shortcake waffle, sunny side eggs, hashbrowns, toast, and a side of fresh fruit, and everything was absolutely delicious. The waffle was perfectly fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness, and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The hashbrowns were crispy and golden, and the fresh fruit added the perfect refreshing touch. The service was friendly and quick, and the cozy, classic diner vibe made the experience even better. Definitely a 5-star breakfast spot I'll be coming back to!

This place isn't bad, but it's definitely not good. Everything on the menu is overpriced except the pancakes. The "smashburger" looked and tasted like it was cooked from frozen. Rubbery and chewy. The beer battered fries were good. Our waitress was nice and attentive but not hover-y. This place is not a diner by any stretch of the imagination. I would say it's more of a daytime cafe. They also have a ridiculous tipping policy. Everyone in our party of 5 people rated it a 2-3 out of 5 stars.

Great spot for a hearty breakfast after a night out. They were obviously pretty busy on a Sunday morning, but there were a few spots open on the counter in the window, so we were able to sit right away. The "Damn Delicious" was truly damn delicious. I judge a breakfast spot by their hashbrowns. I like them crispy and a little greasy, and Kingside's definitely hit the mark. My partner loved his Huevos Rancheros too. Wish the prices matched the "diner" vibe as well, but I understand it's a HCOL neighborhood.

Phenomenal flavors and textures. Toast is typically an afterthought for me, but the buttery crunch of the sourdough has to be spotlighted. The Bee's Knees cocktail was also a wonderfully refreshing prelude to the approaching STL summer. The time has come, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say: wake up, reserve, enjoy.

I was very excited to try them but left knowing I would not return. I waited 40 minutes on a weekday morning for a bar seat for one, standing because all the waiting area seats were taken. The hostess/waitress was very nice when she got to me, but you could tell that the amount of customers was simply too much to handle. Now, this was okay - I should have made a reservation, and it's not the staff's fault they were overwhelmed. However, the service once I sat down was patchy, delayed and distracted. I had to remind different servers of my presence, multiple times. I was willing to overlook this if the food had been fantastic, but unfortunately, their most popular item, the combo breakfast sandwich, was so incredibly heavy. The first bite was crispy, oily and fatty deliciousness, but by the third bite it was simply too rich. The sweet overtone of the honey was lovely but did not cut through the grease. By the time I finished half, I understood why several diners had left the other half uneaten. My personal preference is for a fresh, umami yet balanced sandwich that does not make me feel queasy after finishing it. This was not the sandwich for me. There was a long delay after I finished eating for them to bring me the check. My whole meal took around 2.5 hours. I had arrived starving and, I like to think, with an open mind. These are my honest, unfiltered observations. It is wonderful that so many people want to try their food and that their new space is bigger. Their decor, glassware and menu were cute and tasteful. I also love that they grew from a farmers market food stall and that they source their ingredients locally. With their level of popularity, I think they should focus on preserving the quality of their service and food.

While it is not likely the norm, the owners, Mark & Leslie, met us at the front door, quite literally inviting us into their establishment. It was simply the most welcoming manner in which to be introduced to this treasure and Leslie quickly engaged us with the history of the home and how she and Mark had recently become the owners. We chose this destination based upon the significance of the Fleur-de-lis to my love, a native New Orleanian. Given St. Louis' rich French heritage, the mansion was originally outfitted with four chimneys that feature the fleur-de-lis design and the pattern is repeated throughout the home. While we enjoyed a quiet morning coffee in the back of the property, a lovely shaded patio area, she noticed how many places the symbol was present. She actually made mention to Mark & Leslie that they could make an activity out of counting/finding all of the fleur-de-lis around the home. What a fun idea! We were fortunate enough to book the Tower Grove Park room, a spacious room fitted with a king-size bed and a two-person jacuzzi tub. There is even a 'fainting couch' for that extra French touch! The bed was amazingly comfortable and the decor and accoutrements were exceptional, right down to the pocket doors and writing desk. But a B&B is set apart by the fare served in the morning, and this is where Mark, a chef by trade, and Leslie, a self-taught baker, knock it out of the park. That morning's menu included a fruit starter, fresh juice, Leslie's home-baked sourdough toast and home-baked English muffins, and Mark's egg and sausage soufflés with country potatoes. The entire breakfast had us completely over the moon! We felt so at home that we wanted to clear our own place - so we did! The rates are competitive and well worth every moment spent here. There is parking behind the property, as well as across from the property, and each guest is allowed a unique security code so as to gain entry while you are enjoying your stay. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this getaway, and Mark, Leslie, & assistant Sammy made us feel like family from the moment we crossed the threshold. We'll be back - and you should give Fleur-de-Lys a try!

Location is perfect to venture out in any direction. We appreciate our stay at the Fleur-De-Lys Mansion, and highly recommend it as a destination stay spot whenever in St. Louis.
