Stopped in for a late lunch. Staff was so friendly getting us seated and helping us make a decision. We both decided on lunch options, and they were fantastic! We even found ourselves looking around at what others orders too because it looked so good! Plus, adorable patio!

A very short walk from the Chase Park Royal Sonesta Hotel, we thought we would save a little money for breakfast. While less expensive than the hotel breakfast, it also wasn't as good. Service suffered from a lack of good communication between the two hosts and our server, our server was good though. Pancakes were good and a good deal. Coffee was good but the latte drinks came in those awkward oversized coffee cups that require a two hand heft and they cool off too fast. The oatmeal was tepid and unpleasantly al dente. Yes I now know that's what they mean by overnight oatmeal but I didn't know that until we ordered it. Sometimes you can tell a trend is going to be short lived. Either pay more for better breakfast at the hotel, or drive through the enormous Forest Park to Courtesy Diner for a much better deal.

We were visiting the CWE in St.Louis and saw a cute patio so decided to eat here. The staff was super friendly and helpful in making our lunch choices. The food came out quickly, hot and delicious! I would certainly go again and try something new!

I grabbed takeout from here for brunch since I was staying at a hotel in the area. The vibe inside is so cute! Definitely like an elevated diner feel and their menu definitely has something for everyone. I ordered through their site and my pickup time was about an hour after I ordered. It was ready right on time and still hot when I got it back to my room. I got the BLTA sandwich that comes with fries. I really loved their fries. They were the type that has a crunchy batter on them which I love. They stayed crispy, especially for being takeout. The sandwich had lots of great elements, but it was way too dry for me. It had garlic aioli on it, but there was really barely any on there. I loved the addition of the avocado and how they do fried green tomatoes instead of regular tomatoes. But it desperately needed something to cut all the breading. I even asked for an extra side of garlic aioli to dip my fries in and they didn't give me that much. Overall, this is a cute spot for brunch in the area and I would try dining in if I was back in this area again!

From Oklahoma visiting son. Food was great! Atmosphere was great although we were freezing from a cold draft from down the hallway. (It was a cold day.) Love the name and story behind it. Server was good but never asked for refills or to go drinks and with their prices, that would have been appreciated. Once we got check, she never returned. Everything was very overpriced for portions. $9 for plain waffle, no meat.

My favorite food is breakfast, so I decided to celebrate a milestone with brunch. My expectations were high based on my last visit, and overall I still had a good time. The restaurant just has those feel-good breakfast vibes that set the tone for a great outing. This time, though, I didn't love my drink (the Kingside Refresher - Mango), and the special, (the Birria & Eggs Wrap), was just okay for me. But the house potatoes! Absolute perfection. They should honestly be available as a side with every meal. Will visit again soon to see if l just ordered poorly on my last visit.

Kingside Diner in St. Louis is a must-visit spot! I ordered the strawberry shortcake waffle, sunny side eggs, hashbrowns, toast, and a side of fresh fruit, and everything was absolutely delicious. The waffle was perfectly fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness, and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The hashbrowns were crispy and golden, and the fresh fruit added the perfect refreshing touch. The service was friendly and quick, and the cozy, classic diner vibe made the experience even better. Definitely a 5-star breakfast spot I'll be coming back to!

Great spot for a hearty breakfast after a night out. They were obviously pretty busy on a Sunday morning, but there were a few spots open on the counter in the window, so we were able to sit right away. The "Damn Delicious" was truly damn delicious. I judge a breakfast spot by their hashbrowns. I like them crispy and a little greasy, and Kingside's definitely hit the mark. My partner loved his Huevos Rancheros too. Wish the prices matched the "diner" vibe as well, but I understand it's a HCOL neighborhood.

This place isn't bad, but it's definitely not good. Everything on the menu is overpriced except the pancakes. The "smashburger" looked and tasted like it was cooked from frozen. Rubbery and chewy. The beer battered fries were good. Our waitress was nice and attentive but not hover-y. This place is not a diner by any stretch of the imagination. I would say it's more of a daytime cafe. They also have a ridiculous tipping policy. Everyone in our party of 5 people rated it a 2-3 out of 5 stars.

Came in and was seated fairly quickly. The workers were very nice and informative with the menu. Got the special short rib burrito which was so delicious and big with side of potatoes. the country fried steak was also delicious my boyfriend ended up eating the whole thing! Can't wait to come back and try other dishes

I'm glad my family chose Kingside Diner fur breakfast. I had a taste for sweet and savory, so I ordered the lumberjack - a waffle topped with eggs, bits of bacon, crumbled sausage and cheese. It was a great combination!

While visiting St Louis, not knowing much about breakfast spots, we found Kingside Diner. We were so happy we did! Cute neighborhood hosts this cafe. Parking was easy and the outdoor patio is very spacious. Inside, the restaurant is clean and welcoming. It was stylishly decorated and offered many seating options. The big windows allowed in tons of sunlight. The staff were friendly and helpful. We visited twice and were treated so well both times. Everything was so fresh and prepared perfectly. The latte options were diverse and very tasty.

A wonderful brunch spot in STL serving up creative takes on the classics. I came a couple of times and everything I've had was absolutely delicious. One day I went for the chicken and waffles which were very solid, and another the meat focused hash. Portion sizes are fantastic, everything is cooked perfectly, and there's a good number of options to choose from. The staff is super friendly, quick to offer suggestions and get anything you need. The place is mildly chess themed to fit in well into this historic chess focused part of town. Nothing too intense on the theming, but it's there, and make sure you stop by the museum next door. There's plenty of seating inside and out, and while the place gets busy, it doesn't feel crowded. Highly recommend checking out this wonderful place for a great plate of breakfast!

Servers are quick to take orders and the food comes out at a good pace. They are open to customization on the menu (just be nice about it). I ordered the Posole and Biscuits and Gravy the last time I went. Previously, I've tried their tamales, sopapilla, pancakes, birds in a blanket, and Carne Adovada - all highly recommended. Still want to try their wings. I want Guy Fieri to come here and try their food... Tips: Weekend brunch lines are long, I'd recommend utilizing the Yelp waitlist when able. If you're eating in the winter, try to avoid eating by the door ... unfortunately my biscuits and gravy were a bit cold the last time I ate there because the wind kept blowing in when people were checking in at the hostess stand. But that's okay because the Posole was steaming! Tables larger than 6 are going to have a longer wait time in the winter. In nicer weather, the outdoor patio is great to enjoy a meal in. That's what you get with local diner charm! This place is definitely a special spot in St. Louis

It's the Grove so do what you will with the parking situation. Walk-in always welcomed, that's the only way we roll. The inside is chill and relax, low key with good music playing. We have sat in the diner section a couple of times. Our first visit our waitress was AMAZING!!! She was extremely attentive and spot on with her recommendations. It was late on a Saturday night and we sat at high top table. We ordered the collards and artichoke dip, crispy brussels sprouts, potato wedges, LL cheeseburger and the Nashville hot catfish po'boy. EVEYTHING was a WINNER. The collards and artichoke dip along with the catfish po'boy were the stars of the show and became the BF's and I favorite staples. But DON'T SLEEP on the LL cheeseburger. A double smash burger packed with flavor and juicy, that is accompanied by american cheese, tomato jam and aioli. This burger is not to be missed. We didn't get a chance to eat the potato wedges while there so we took them home and I re-heated them the next day, expecting to be disappointed in reheated potatoes but there is something different about the way they make these potato wedges. They re-heat PERFECTLY in the toaster oven like NEW and are absolutely delicious!!! We noticed that after that first time our waitress no longer worked there and we had this guy who could care less. We discovered why he could care less. They automatically started implementing a 18% gratuity on all checks so our waiter was getting tipped no matter if he performed or not. And let me tell you he sucked. Our food was coming out before our cocktails which we ordered way in advance and he would go missing for long periods of time and our food wasn't the same quality as we once experienced. So now when we go we ONLY sit at the bar. I prefer my 18% gratuity and more go directly to our bartender who cares about our service and experience. The BF and I really enjoy Little Lucy. The cocktails are phenomenal!!! The bartenders really know what they are doing and can craft something extremely mind-blowing and delicious. The cocktails on the menu are equally OUTSTANDING!!! We have veered off our regular go-to's to discover more options like the honey hot wings which were just ok, they were under seasoned and not extra crispy as requested. The toasted ravioli is a hidden gem on the menu, which is served in a bechamel sauce with cajun spices and topped with green onions. Apparently it is referred to as stoner food. I don't care what they call but it's GREAT!!!! A truly unique way to serve toasted ravioli. A must try that I haven't talked about is the collard and artichoke dip that is served with Alabama crackers. Pro tip, always ask for extra crackers. I knew this was dish was deadly when they said collard. It is so creamy and thick. I would purchase this in large quantities and pas it off as my own. It hits the spot EVERYTIME!!! A new favorite that I order in-house and to-go is the smoked brisket sandwich, served with peppers, onions, pepper jack queso and cajun spices on a hoagie. This sandwich packs a powerful punch and the way they shave the brisket ever so thinly like a cheesesteak and layer the toppings. ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT!!!! We are still working our way through the menu as you can see.

Boooooooo! Lol. I'm not a huge fan of restaurants that serve a la carte. But whatevs. I started with the Charleston drink. It was good and strong; came out in a fancy box w a lil smoke. It was semi dramatic, lol. We decided to order the collards and spinach artichoke dip to start with. It was good. It gave spinach and artichoke dip for the most part. The seasoned saltine crackers that accompanied that were not my favorite, but not the worst, & we had to ask for more to finish the dip (we were unexpectedly charged for them -_____-). I wish it was pita bread or pita chips instead, but I guess the crackers are Lucy's special touch. We finally decide on food; she got the catfish po boy, I got the brisket sandwich. She said her sandwich was FIRE but I didn't try it so I can't speak to that unfortunately. My brisket sandwich was ok; it had queso on it and it was kinda cold which was wack. The sandwich was a decent size for sure, I just could have went for a different bread personally. The ciabatta bread overpowered the actual meat. I asked for bbq sauce to dip and eat pieces of the brisket. I want to come back and try the Brussels and catfish po boy myself.

A huge disappointment was the beef ribs and rice pilaf, both lacking seasoning and substantial flavor. Yes, the beef ribs are fall of the bone but they are tasteless and over-priced for the quality. The corn bread is good. Another disappointing dish is the smothered pork chops. The porkchops do not stand up to the massive amount of gravy they are sitting in.
