My wife and I stopped into Grand Pied for the first time on Friday, 12/6/25 around 10 AM, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The place has a warm, welcoming vibe that made us feel comfortable right away. The service was friendly and attentive, and you can tell they really take pride in what they do. Our food came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor -- exactly what we were hoping for with a late-morning bite. Everything tasted homemade and thoughtfully prepared. We walked out already talking about what we want to try next time. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

Have had this place on my list since we moved to the south side earlier this year! The parking kind of sucks (street parking) but it was worth it. It's a small place but not tiny. They were immediately friendly and it's charming inside. I loved all of the unique decor and couldn't get over the different pans and bowls they used for light fixtures. The food came out pretty fast and was soooo good. My husband had the gumbo shrimp and grits which were packed with flavor! I tried the ham, eggs, and potatoes! LET ME TELL YOU... AMAZING! Nothing needed any additional seasonings and it was so good. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and so fluffy on the inside. Ham was good, and the gravy was great as well. Can't wait to go back and try new things!

Cute little charming cozy gem in south city. It's seat yourself and order from the menu you download on your phone. The staff is friendly but you do have to constantly grab an employee if you need anything in addition. The BF began with the Shaken Brown Sugar Oat Iced Cold Brew which is cold brew coffee shaken with oat milk and brown sugar, no frills, just straight to the point and well made, reasonably priced. The pancakes are a must try. They are serving the BEST pancakes in the city hands down. Three buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup, homemade whipped cream and blackberry jam are phenomenal. The pancakes taste as if your grandmother was in the kitchen with her cast iron skillet making you breakfast. The quality is superb. Each and every pancake stays hot from the first bite to the last bite. These pancakes are a family favorite. Crispy edges and golden all around with a fluffy interior. I don't care that these pancakes are $15, they are well worth it!!! ABSOLUTELY delicious, so great in fact we turned around and took my mother a few days later so she could experience the phenomenon. We also tried the bbq pork steak over cheese grits. I have been wanting to get here for dinner to try this pork steak and to know that they had it for breakfast with cheddar grits I couldn't pass it up. I wish I would have passed it up. The pork steak was over cooked and you could tell it was from the day prior. The bbq sauce on top of the pork steak was horrible. The cheese grits were some of the worst grits I have ever eaten. They were runny and not seasoned as was the pork steak and the bbq sauce was so nasty that nothing worked together and in addition each item helped to off-set the other. This dish was so awful it should have been sent back. We have since returned since our initial visit because the pancakes are just that good. We will eventually try other items on the menu.

Cute place. Love all the decor- bigfoot everywhere Food was good but a little greasy & a small menu with limited options. You sit at table & order from phone. They deliver to you & refill your coffee. We ordered their take on biscuits & gravy. Beignets & gravy. Also eggs & bacon. Bacon was fresh & well done. Eggs were cooked well but in a lot of oil. Split the b&g. Eggs & bacon were side item add on.

Grand Pied was lovely. I ordered beignets and biscuits and there was plenty of food for the price, all of which tasted great. It was unique but still classic. The restaurant itself is also super cozy and provides plenty of caffeine options, like matcha and shaken cold brew. I would give a five stars but the service was a bit rude, saying we "got lucky" to have gotten our table while I was apologizing for being one minute late to our waitlist spot among other disinterested behavior. However, I would likely give this place another chance at some point if I lived locally.

I have a soft spot for some hearty and flavorful Southern and Cajun food! I've been to Grand Pied many times and they never disappoint me. First off, their Pork steak and dirty grits are back for the summer and as soon as I saw it on the menu again I knew it was gonna be a lil party in my mouth! The pork steak was perfectly seasoned, moist, and fall apart tender while the cheesy grits were cooked to perfection. No matter how empty or busy it gets in the restaurant, I've always had great experiences with the organization and professionalism of the wait staff. Lastly, I've been here many times and I just realized you can bring your own bottle(s) if beer, wine, and/or spirits.

Brunch with some New Orleans flare! I've heard great things about Grand Pied and even when we were inside, people were raving about how they go all the time. We got the Breakfast Po Boy and the Beignets and Gravy. Their potatoes are unreal. Perfectly crisp. Everything was packed with flavor and quite filling. The Po Boy's slaw was a fun addition to a classic breakfast sandwich. The balance of the fluffy and buttery beignets with the creamy gravy and eggs.

Super busy which is a good sign! Easy to order on the QR code menu. Had really great service once we got in there but wouldn't say the hostess was overly friendly...

Great brunch spot! Definitely recommend taking advantage of the waitlist feature on their website before coming in because the space is small. We lucked out and were able to snag spots at the bar when we popped in at prime brunch time on Sunday. As noted in other reviews, the pancakes are a MUST! Super thick with a nice crispy edge. We also had the goat cheese omelette which was tasty but could've used a little something extra. We will def be back for more pancakes and to try some other menu items.

This is such a cute little place. It was packed for brunch when we arrived. We opted to sit outside, it was covered and nice with all the plants. I like the ability to order and pay right from my phone. It's BYOB so we grabbed a bottle of champagne from the cute grocery store on the block. We ordered a carafe of orange, it was 12 dollars, a little overpriced in my opinion. The pancakes are the star of the show! I loved them, you get 3 nice sized ones so we split that and the dirty pork steak and grits. The pork steak was super tender and tasted amazing, we split that as well so the portions are nice size. The service was great. I would absolutely come back.

I had the loveliest time here with a friend celebrating her birthday. Grand Pied had been on my list for a while, and it's her favorite brunch in the city. I totally get it!! These are the best grits I've found in the area. The gumbo on top was flavorful, perfectly spiced, with tender sausage and shrimp. The toast and jam, so simple, but their house made preserves were divine. Lovely to split for a side. My friend got the Fries and Shine, I had a bite and the fries and sausage gravy were very, very good. Flavorful gravy, and a crispy yet velvety fry. I want to give a shoutout to the staff member who made my friend's birthday special! She loves the pomegranate lemonade, even mentioned it on the drive over, but it wasn't technically "in stock" - when my friend went to the restroom I asked about it, and she whipped up a lemonade to surprise her with before our food came out! She was so tickled. DELICIOUS food and lovely kind people, I will certainly be back!

*new brunch spot unlocked* We always talk about ambience, quality of food, and the people when evaluating a restaurant. This place is as close to perfection as it gets. First and foremost: BYOB, count me in! I brought a batch of carajillos and went to work. The food was amazing. The pancakes have a nice crust. They're thick, fluffy, and have nice crispy edges. A truly unique pancake in the best of ways. The chicken sandwich gets applause as well. The chicken was super crispy with a wonderful, fluffy homemade bun. The slaw, pickles and sauce all meld perfectly with the hot honey. I also got one of their chai lattes which was wonderful. Super rich with the brown sugar. The service was great. You order with a qr code, but they have plenty of floaters perusing to help with any needs you may have. Absolutely loved, loved, loved my experience at grand pied.

This place is a hidden gem! We chose it because it was close to the botanical garden and the menu was appealing. It is pretty small and only offers 2 or 4 top tables plus a few seats at the bar so this is NOT a spot for large groups. There are QR menus on each table and you use that to order food/drinks to the table. I got the brown sugar oat cold brew (YUM!) and we each had the sausage egg and cheese sandwich (the jam it comes with is the perfect compliment to the sandwich)Food and drink were delivered quickly and everything was delicious. Generous serving sizes. They also have a table with to go containers for food and drink so you can pack up any leftovers you want to take. Recommend getting here early since it is so small, but this is a great brunch spot before going to the Tower Grove Farmers Market or the botanical garden.

We sat outside , our server was wonderful and they were so helpful and accommodating. First I ordered the Dive Bar Coffee which just wasn't for me so i got the Dottie (with the good crunchy ice) instead and it was wonderful! (They even took the first one off and i didn't even ask, thoughtful. ) Food was delicious. My Hashbrown was delicious and crispy and seasoned and mm. And the salmon was yummy. My date got the baked eggs and loved it as well (they make their bread so will be back just to have bread). We also got the ButterScotch Budino for dessert. As someone who isn't a fan of pudding , this was goooooood. Salty, sweet and crumbling that cookie into it (per their suggestion), worth it. Their menu is seasonal so check before you go, but definitely go.

A small plates restaurant that felt a little Italian. We make reservations and show up to this place that looks like a neighborhood pub. Quaint, in the corner, inviting light shining through medium sized windows. Inside, the vibes were a hybrid of someone's very nice dining room and an old western saloon. I know that's almost nonsensical, but the vibes were good. We felt right at home. Service was spot on. The server was very nice and new the menu pretty well. The food came out tapas style, so when something was ready, it just came right out. I like that. I like the periods where there are so many plates on the table at one time that it's overwhelming. What's what eating is all about. As for the food itself, it was good. I'll give a little blurb on each thing, as not to wear out your eyeballs. Crispy Artichokes (sauce au vert). These were fun and nice and crispy. Don't see artichokes like these very often. The sauce was a little weak, though. Didn't exactly go well with these fried little morsels. 'Nduja Croquetas (bomba rice, spicy prosciutto, fontina, grenada pepper aioli). Wow, now these little flavor bombs cannot be missed. Spicy sausage arancinis with a nice peppery aioli to dip. An intensely flavorful little dish that I loved. Can't find it on the menu, maybe it was seasonal, maybe it was a special, but we had a bone marrow French onion soup that was nice. The soup was good good. Very well developed flavors. The marrow bone was a little sloppy, though, and we got a transverse cut of bone, leaving very little marrow to access. Next were the Mussels (green garlic broth, Spanish vermouth, pickled peppers, spring onions, grilled LF bread). Very well cooked mussels, sitting in a lovely broth to dip your bread in. Ask for extra bread. But do not ask for extra of that sauce. That was really bad sauce. Sauce work seems to be this place's only weak point. Probably the biggest dish of the night, the Bolognese Bianco (Newman Farms pork & mushroom bolognese, bucatini, gremolata, parmigiano reggiano). This was a really nice pasta dish! Love those big, thicc bucatini noodles. Flavorful bolognese, great texture from the gremolata, and just cheesy enough to make this probably the most complete dish of the night. Then finally the Sea Scallops (ramp soubise, morel mushrooms, house-cured pancetta). Scallops were scored and cooked to look like fine art. Light scallops paired with nice umami from the morels and the pancetta, all tied together by that nice soubise. You don't see that very often either. We ended the meal with a Sticky Toffee Pudding (apple & date cake, apple brandy toffee, crème chantilly, marcona almond tuile). Chef's kiss. Such a delicate sponge with a nice date flavor. Then boom, the sweet boozy toffee, the creamy chantilly, the texture from the tuile. Every element helped make this a great dessert to end a great meal. Overall, another very pleasant surprise. This was a very good dinner, and I'll definitely come back if I'm ever in St. Louis again.

What a fun place!…read more Since the previous place we went to was on last call, we came and spent the rest of the night here. I had heard from several friends that this was a great place to watch sports games and has a good crowd. While it was late when we came, there were still plenty of people. First off, this place is huge. I almost got lost for a second because it seemed like every turn I went I ended up in a new room. Like the last place, this has a whole section dedicated to darts and pool. There's ample space and TVs in the main part of the bar and throughout. Drink wise, I got my typical three olives grape and sprite and my friend got a beer. He loves this place for the food and the atmosphere. He got an order of wings, fries, and jalapeño Mac and cheese balls. While we were looking for a place to sit, he took me outside in their heated and covered outdoor area. Again, there was ample seating, but best of all, they have a pop-a-shot machine! He ate for a little bit and then we went to play. Overall, I loved the space and drinks and def see myself coming back when I'm in the area.

It's cash only and has multiple places and rooms to sit, watch, eat, relax, and socialize. Buckets of beer are super cheap, and food is pretty good. Who doesn't love bar food? Back patio and sitting area is super nice on a warm day, and it's dog friendly. Street parking is available!

This has been on my list for years, so I jumped when my bf said we were going. He made a…read morereservation for 8:45 because he said it's normally packed. We came right on time and were sat immediately. The inside was lively and buzzing. Right after we were sat, our server came to introduce himself and take our drink order. To start, we each go a Caesar salad, we split an order of calamari, and I got the flower power to drink. I was warned before hand that the drink I chose would be an "experience" but that I should enjoy it. An experience would be an understatement. The salad was good and I loved the croutons, although they were a bit tough. The calamari was quite tasty and seasoned well. As for my drink, let's just say I was NOT prepared. The drink itself wasn't the problem but more so the buzz flower that accompanied it. You're supposed to eat the flower first and then drink. It comes with a glass of prosecco as a palate cleanser but I don't feel as though it did much. I'd say that flower kicked in within 15 minutes and ultimately, that's when things took a turn. At first it felt like pop rocks in my mouth and then I started to feel awful. While the chaos was going on, I managed to eat my blackened salmon, which was delicious. The slaw was so-so and I could have done without the beans and rice. All in all, we had a lovely visit aside from the drink. Our server was fantastic, the food was top notch, and I really enjoyed the ambiance.

Frazier's was easily one of my favorite spots in St. Louis…read more From the moment we walked in, the vibe was just right. They had the windows open, giving that indoor-outdoor feel that I love -- it felt relaxed, inviting, and perfect for a laid-back meal. Now let's talk about the food... because that's what really stood out. We ordered the Louisiana-style barbecue shrimp and the red beans and rice, and both were so flavorful. The shrimp had that rich, buttery, seasoned sauce that you just don't want to leave on the plate, and the red beans and rice were exactly what you want them to be -- comforting, well-seasoned, and done right. I had just come from a night out, so I didn't go too heavy on drinks, but I did order a cocktail and it was really good -- balanced and not overly sweet. Service was great, the atmosphere was welcoming, and honestly, everything on the menu looked good. This is definitely one of those places where you already know you need to come back and try more. Highly recommend if you're in St. Louis and looking for great food and a solid overall experience.

Can we do six stars? I have nothing but good things to say about The Drawing Board! The staff is…read morestellar and the food is AMAZING--especially that Medart Burger, a dish with a rich (and kinda greasy) Saint Louis history. Sidewinder Fries are spiral-cut wedges that come with just enough seasoning. The falafel pita is a great vegetarian choice... seriously, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. There's always a nice selection of craft beers on tap for about $7/pour, as well as a smattering of AB products and other national brands in cans. Beer is wonderfully cold. The bar is well-stocked--especially with local spirits--and the bartenders here know their stuff, making drinks to order and advising what to try if you ask. I'm usually interested in trying a gin or bourbon I haven't had, and they're quick to make recommendations and talk about what's on the shelf. The Drawing Board has a nice-sized bar area with pool tables, darts, and chalkboards, as well as a cool patio. There's a small parking lot on the east (right side of the building), as well as ample street parking just west of the bar on Oak Hill. If you like pub trivia, drop by on a Thursday and test your knowledge and memory!

It's on the smaller side, reminding me of places in my new home of SF, so anticipate seats/tables could fill up quickly. Parking is very limited, I got lucky to get a spot, so on a weekend evening I'd consider ride share otherwise you may be stuck parking blocks away. Beer was reasonably priced at $4-$5 for domestic. There was a group of people playing Magic The Gathering which was intriguing.
