Drove by twice and missed it, it's hidden in a gritty industrial area

I have been all over the country over the course of my life and BBQ is my favorite food to seek out but the St Louis slinger is my second favorite regional dish that is only a St Louis MO thing so I stopped by for one. The decor is US pride/military freedom and in general a modern diner with with old school roots with the old fashioned lunch counter and round fixed stools. My service was good with that southern pace. I ordered the classic slinger with chili but the menu does have country version with country gravy that I haven't seen before. My classic slinger was deep fried cubed potatoes topped with topped with a mound of chili, scrambled eggs, cheese, red onions, two juicy pork sausage patties and a side of toast. This was a big portion and probably the best slinger I have had. The chili had a hormel can taste which isn't bad but with a homemade recipe of fresh beans and fresh ground beef with a beefy flavor. OMG this was fu#king delicious and my only complaint was one slice of toast to make my famous toast sandwich. Overall the slinger was probably the best one to date and anyone who follows me knows I'm trying to get restaurants in the Milwaukee area to create one which is never the same as the St Louis only classic breakfast dish, yep they hit this one out of the park.

If you like corned beef hash. You must try it here! I'll admit, I've only had it from Nadine's. Have you ever had something so good. You won't try it anywhere else? Nadine's is that good! It perfect everytime I've had it. The potatoes and beef are nicely carmelized. The eggs are always cooked perfectly as well. The staff is always smiling and check in on you when appropriate. It has a neat kind of 50's diner vibe. They also serve alcohol.

Such a great place and hidden gem! We love finding breakfast places in downtown and thanks to Yelp we discovered Nadines. Service and food was top notch embracing the straight-forwardness of diners with quick and kind service. We will definitely be back!

The breakfast food was filling. I would have preferred a few more vegetables on the menu, but the food ws good. We had a great waitress. The restaurant is on a mixed use street near Soulard Market and there is a school right across from it. It was quiet enough to enjoy conversation at our table. I would visit again.

Very good breakfast at a decent price. The staff is attentive even when it's been busy. The hash breakfast is good. So is the soulard slinger, and pancakes.

Nadines Hash House is quite the hidden gem. Ot was war and cozy. There was a place designated fir selfies. I wish I had found this place much sooner. I was warmly greeted by the owner, Nadine. She sat us quickly. Her staff were the best. Everyone was so personable. The food was amazing. I tried the cod sandwich. It was delicious. The fries were fresh cut fries. I asked for cheese fries. But when I saw they were fresh cut fries I didn't want cheese on them. I was happy that I didn't get cheese. They were perfectly cooked and delicious. There was parking in front and plenty of parking in the back. They offer Mimosa and othe adult beverages. I even purchased a souvenir coffee mug. This is located in the Soulard area. If ever in the area please don't miss this diner. I highly recommend.

Stopped by for the first time and the service was great. Ordered the sweet potato hash and a pancake. Everything was seasoned and cooked well. Atmosphere was not loud and is a more personal eatery. Can't wait to go back.

I don't know what to say about Nadine's that hasn't been said. It's the quintessential diner: counter seating, no frills breakfast, big portions, regulars, and a friendly owner often found behind the counter. Except it's better because they serve mimosas and cocktails, have a ton of other seating, and even have several vegetarian options (not always the case at a diner!). The service is fast even when they tell you they're slammed and has that personal touch... even if you're not a regular!

Nadine's Hash House is a trip down memory lane, capturing the essence of classic diners. Right here in Historic Soulard, St. Louis. This spot used to be Billie's Fine Foods Diner. But Nadine "always wanted to own a diner" so here we are! The create-your-own omelet with feta, spinach, and tomatoes was delightful and satisfying, perfectly cooked, accompanied by fried potatoes that were a taste sensation. The nostalgic setting with chrome counter stools and an inviting atmosphere is charming. Perfect for a business breakfast or with friends/fam! Loved it!

What are the hours open each day?

They were open 7-2 Wednesday thru Sunday. I am not sure if that is current, but it should be close.

I had to visit Blues City as I heard they have great Po Boys...and they do. I am used to having oysters or shrimp on a Po Boy. Not here. They are basically served with many versions of meat. I had the Benton Park Po Boy and it was incredible. The sandwich has ham, roast beef, turkey, provel, and is dressed with lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, pepperoncini, sweet red pepper sauce on french bread. My wife, being vegetarian had the Panino Fresco. It included mozzarella, provolone, dressed with homemade olive salad, tomato, onion & Italian vinegar oil on an Italian roll. This was the first time in 26 years that she finished the entire sandwich. I had a bite of hers, and it is easy to see why she she finished it. So good. I even bought a memorable t-shirt as I loved Blues City Deli. The female counter person was so friendly. She even wrote down three other restaurants to try while we were visiting St Louis. I had never been to this downtown location and I was concerned about parking once I got there but decided to give it a go. I ended up parking at the top of the block 1/2 in a space and 1/2 in front of a hydrant. I dashed in and thankfully once I spotted the shelf the order was there and ready. I grabbed in and dashed back to the car. If I had to be here any length of time though this wouldn't have worked and there would have been nowhere to park on the whole block even for just 2 minutes. That said my order, a veggie sandwich add bacon came out correct even with lots of customizing. My pickle was delicious and perfectly quartered as requested. I'd obviously go back but I'd have to think twice about it due to the parking situation!

Coming to St. Louis and not having Toasted Ravioli is a crime in my opinion, so I was happy to see that they had included this regional staple on their menu. I had planned on ordering some. Unfortunately, I saw a sign posted stating that they do not offer any of the hot food items to-go, and they were being served on reusable, acrylic plates. There was a woman there complaining that she'd purchased $20 barbecue ribs and couldn't take her leftovers to-go because they have no packaging available for that.
