After attending an event I decided to go here for lunch. I have been wanting to try it for some time now. It took a minute to go over all of the various menu options. It's nice to see all of the fresh ingredients available-mostly grown onsite. It can't get any fresher than that. The service was great. They are ready to help explain anything on the menu. It's a cute place, there's street parking available. I decided on the Thai BBQ which is a popular item. I also got the chili crisp cheese bread. My salad was huge and can easily be shared with another person. It was so fresh and delicious. The cheese bread was good, would have been much better if it was served hot and gooey. This is a favorite restaurant for many reasons, one of them being the freshness of their greens, the friendly and helpful service, and the variety in their menu. I've never had a dish that wasn't outstanding. I love that there seem to be new things on the menu when I go there, and everything is well marked with allergen info. The workers seem happy to be there, and the customers are too! On Saturday afternoon they offer a tour of their hydroponic gardens, and I can't recommend it enough. I've driven by here so many times and I finally made it in. There is only street parking. It is a very welcoming space with an open concept. There's seating inside in the main dinjng area, out in the back under a covered area and also outside in the front on an upper level deck. The staff is phenomenal! They made me feel welcome, they took time to explain menu items and seemed proud of the products offered. The lettuce is grown on site. I ordered the seasonal sweet potato soup and so did my dining companion, but her presentation looked different like it had some cream on top. I chose to create my own salad, and I absolutely loved all of the unique choices to do so. I had the hardest choice picking one of their house made salad dressings. I have yet to make it to Neon Greens for their Neon Greens food but was able to stop in this morning for their new Biscuit Town permanent pop up. Beautiful, bright space! A seating area when you walk in with tables and window counter seating. We didn't sit there but the view of the changing trees was beautiful out the window. Walk up the to the counter to order, our order was taken by a friendly and upbeat person, the menu gave all the options right there. the server was efficient and asked questions to make sure our order was correct, we paid and chose a seat. Our food was brought out quickly on a tray, there was a counter with a composting area that also had napkins and utensils. The biscuit sandwich was huge! The Sneaky Biscuit. I asked for no cheese since I am a cheese weirdo and don't like it mixed with eggs, meat, or potatoes! So, biscuit, bacon, egg, and smoked citrus honey. Very good, I am also a weirdo about butter and I was afraid I wouldn't like the biscuit because of it, but it wasn't overpowering and I really enjoyed it. For my first time, I opted for the Plain Jane hash brown, so thin and crispy! I will be more adventurous next time and choose the Unami option. As I was composting our dishes, one of the employees chatted with me about the option of touring the farm and he pointed it out, I had thought it was part of outdoor seating, so cool that it is where they grow the greens. I remembered reading something about it after he mentioned it. I admitted I hadn't been there for their non breakfast options and he got me a menu and encouraged me to come back. Since I'm not a fan of quinoa, I swapped out the three-grain mix for all lettuce, and my salad came with mizuna, shredded cabbage, roasted broccoli, pickled red onions, garlicky cucumbers, Salt + Smoke's signature pulled pork, crispy garlic, chopped peanuts, and a charred scallion green goddess dressing. I came across Neon Greens in a web search and I love a good farm to table concept and salad so I was intrigued. It is really a cute and very clean restaurant. Yours are given on the weekends which is so cool. Staff is amazingly friendly and helpful! I ordered the Beet Salad and added strawberry and sweet potato's to it. I could not decide on what type of dressing sounded good, the horseradish vinaigrette it came with or strawberry. So I got both. The dressing is homemade and thicker than I had expected , but delicious. I did end up using the strawberry and it was a nice complement to my salad. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. I really don't think it could have tasted any better. The marinated tuna that was on my salad was tasty and not overpowering which was important to me. The menu isn't huge nor hard to figure out. There are some salad selections or you can create your own. Same goes for the wraps and there is an option to turn the salad into a wrap as well. There were a few things I can't wait to go back and try, and I am a sucker for a good create your own with whatever I choose that sounds good that day. I've lived pretty close to Neon Greens for a hot minute now, and I'm so mad at myself for not trying this place sooner! My partner and I were craving something that would make our bellies feel nice and nourished, and Neon Greens did that and more! We placed an order online for pickup. I decided to build my own grain bowl, and it took me an embarrassingly long amount of time to make all my selections because there are SOOO many awesome choices and additions. I ended up getting the three grain mix, hydro lettuce mix, roasted broccoli, roasted cauliflower, sweet potato, fresh herb blend, roasted red pepper vinaigrette, and feta cheese. This bowl was absolutely packed with flavor and freshness. I especially loved the roasted red pepper vinaigrette. Very unique and brought all the ingredients together perfectly. My partner had the Buffalo Chix Wrap. He said it was one of the best buffalo wraps he's ever had, and that's a lot coming from someone who is actually obsessed with buffalo chicken! I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS PLACE!! Never thought I'd say that about a salad place but Joe stay it's blown my mind. My partner and I went there for a date night and we had the best experience. The salad is so fresh and they build them right in front of you, kinda Subway style. Everything was so refreshing and full of flavor - and very filling! I had the seasonal July salad and he had the mushroom bowl. We couldn't skip dessert so we had "the works" on their Thai basil + matcha swirl soft serve. Update : I was here some time ago and the service and food was just not good. Must of caught it on a bad day because today I got a delicious salad and the staff was friendly wand receptive. I'm so glad I went back because the salad I got today was so good so much better than what I purchased last time. First timer. Was greeted immediately by a very friendly staffer. Her snippy counterpart quickly advised us that they were closing in 30-minutes and our food would be to-go (basically saying hurry up, order and get out). The nice staffer said we were welcome to stay and eat if we'd like. Had we not had a small child with us and it was school night, we probably would've stayed to eat just to piss the snippy one off. Anyway, we got a quick tutorial from the nice one on the menu and their hydroponic growing method. Lots of delicious fresh ingredients behind the glass so you can watch your salad, wrap or bowl being created. I chose the Protein Caesar (50g protein total) and I was not disappointed. The salad was huge - well worth the $16.95 price. My daughter had the equally huge Mojo Verde ($13.75) salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. As I say at the beginning of all of my reviews, I've been meaning to stop in here forever and I finally did! We actually took a tour of the greenhouses on a Sunday afternoon. Well, they aren't greenhouses, it's a hydroponic farm or plot. They grow all of their greens on site in these large shipping containers! Kind of like the ones on the back of 18 wheeler trucks. And you can tour them! It's so neat. Definitely recommend doing that. They harvest the greens fresh every day to put in their salads. I've only ever tried one salad, the Thai barbecue, and it was delicious! I also got a bag of chips, dill, pickle chips, ha ha because I'm obsessed with them. They also had ketchup Lays as well. I was surprised at how busy the spot was! It's not a very big space, but there was definitely always a line. People love neon greens! What I really loved about the place was that all of the workers seemed very passionate about making clean and healthy food. Tried their sweet crisp and oakleaf lettuces and both were wonderful. Built my own bowl with roasted sweet potatoes, roasted broccoli and cauliflower and their tomatoes. They had so many topping options! Added some smoked chicken and parm crisps. They have several unique and fresh dressing options. I tried the roasted red pepper vinaigrette which was fantastic. Also tried the buttermilk herb which was like a spin on ranch. So delicious! They have huge portions- you will definitely leave full.
