If looking for something, not so ordinary brunch items and food, this is the place to be. Collocated to Rolling Ridge Nursery, it's the perfect spot to grab a nosh with friends. It's cafe style so you'll order at the counter but they bring you your food.
Not your average breakfast! That is what I loved about Telva. My friend had the Kunefe - what a surprise! it is a mixture of cheeses with shredded phyllo and baklava syrup - savory and sweet all together. We shared a Chocolate Povitica - similar to a babka and really good I had the Cilbir - very similar to Shakhuka but with garlic yogurt - REALLY GOOD!! We started by seating outside because it was unseasonally nice in the Summer of St Louis, but we moved inside due to rain and both are eclectic (but there is an odd surging of electricity inside) We received our food quickly and we were asked how we were doing and if the food was ok at least twice and very kind servers. PS dont laugh at the pictures...I forgot to take pictures before we dove in
Telva is truly one of the best places in St. Louis. Loryn, the owner, recently won a James Beard award so I knew I had to go. The decor is excellent. The service was amazing. All the servers were extremely patient, knowledgeable and accomodating. The food is spectacular. We ordered half of the menu and loved everything. I dream of the baklava parfait. One of my top recommendations in St. Louis.
Tried this fantastic new spot to open in St. Louis. I loved how intentional the space was, designed in and around a plant nursery. The food is incredible, everything was brought out to us quickly, and I appreciate how different the menu items are from other breakfast or brunch spots. There are a lot of vegetarian options, but I would have loved more gluten free options. We also ordered a chai latte and the latte with vanilla and caramel- both were fantastic.
Delicious farm-to-table Baltic cuisine packed with flavor! I was blown away by the freshness of the ingredients. The hot toddy with apple brandy was a surprising and delightful treat! Kudos to the restaurant's management and team -- they run the place with Swiss precision. From the moment you order to when the food arrives and the table is cleared, everything is incredibly professional yet warm and welcoming. The ordering process is a bit different from what you might expect. Just follow what the locals do: place your order at the top of the line and then wait for your delicious dishes to arrive at the table when they're ready. Highly recommended!
Earlier this week I decided to grab some breakfast to go from Telva at the Ridge, which is Balkan inspired cafe. I placed my order online and it was hot and ready when I arrived. I love when I can track the status online. I ordered the breakfast sendvic and I added sudzuka (seasoned beef). You do have the option to add beef or turkey bacon. This sandwich comes with a herbed ajvar mayo. No clue what ajvar is but it really elevated the flavor. Make sure you check out this cute place in Webster Groves.
Absolutely phenomenal. It's been a while since a restaurant has impressed me a bit and telva does it. No wonder they won James Beard: best chef Midwest. The food is complex and well structured and balanced. The presentation is clean yet casual. The environment is very spacious. I saw fresh market deliveries being brought in. It's the real deal without having to pay $$$$$$. Come casually as you are and experience a casual yet uplifted vibe
I tried this spot for the first time on a random weekday afternoon. There were probably 3 parties in total, including mine, so it felt very quiet and empty since the dining room is so big! I could imagine how lively the place would be during the weekend. My friend and I each had a breakfast pide ($18) with meat added on ($3-5 depending on choice). The bread was pillowy and chewy with lots of charred spots, which I personally love but might not sit well with others. The dipping sauce that came with the pide was peppery and smoky, perfect for balancing out the saltiness of the meat.
We finally tried Telva at The Ridge. This spot is owned by the same folks who own Balkan Treat Box, so we hoped to have a similar or better experience than BTB (which we liked, but didn't love). Sadly, I'd say this restaurant is actually a star worse than BTB. Let's start with the positives: this place has a cool vibe. It's industrial with a bit of the warmth from the attached Rolling Ridge Nursery below. The downside of the industrial vibe is that the chairs are painful and there could be more seating. The food wasn't bad by any means, but it didn't knock our socks off. My Mom got the Breakfast Sendvic, which is essentially an Egg Sandwich on crispy bread with an herb aioli. She added Beef Bacon. I understand they don't serve pork here, but the Beef Bacon was not her favorite. I got the Breakfast Pide. I thought I ordered sausage on top, but instead received something similar to Pepperoni. Regardless, I enjoyed my meal. The service was definitely the weakest part of our experience. We did not encounter one "friendly" staff member. They all ranged from cordial to rude. That being said, I think we'd give Telva another chance a few months from now.

I've been here multiple times and I've never had anything that wasn't amazing! (The mustafa tost was good, didn't have the deeper flavors that I like, but still very good.) I didn't think that the orange cake would be nearly as good as it was, but WOW!! The cream topping was phenomenal and the cake itself was SO flavorful and moist. The orange flavor was more authentic and present than it's been in any other orange-flavored thing I've ever had. The kilbir is always savory and has a depth and warmth to it that pairs perfectly with the yoghurt. I wish there was more bread included because the pieces included don't seem to last for half of the dish. The latte was very nice! If you're a coffee lover, then you'll like it. The coffee flavor is very nice and isn't drowned out by the syrups. The baklava parfait is a MUST. With the honey drizzle and nuts and flower petals on the plate, you get nice variety and it looks gorgeous. The sweetness of the baklava filling paired with the sourness of their homemade yoghurt, it's a perfect pairing. The service was also very professional and helpful when an item was missing from our order.
Fun to go on a breakfast date with my wife. We tried a couple of different things and loved each bite. It's usually very busy, but they do a great job of seating everyone and food comes out quick. Worth a short wait to enjoy!
Had a lot of fun coming here with a friend. It was super busy on a Sunday but somehow we were able to get a table right away. We got drinks and I got a cookie. It all came out soup quick even though they were busy. My iced seasonal drink came in the cutest cup ever. I would recommend maybe coming on a less busy day. Super cute place though and good drinks.
Tevla at the Ridge is the real deal. We stopped by for brunch and had a great experience. We ordered the breakfast sandwich with the sudzuka patty, breakfast pide with cured sausage, cilbir, and a tahini bun. We also had a cold brew and the Telva spritz. Everything was delicious, especially the freshly made bread. The service deserves a special mention. We were sitting outside on a sunny day, and one of the owners came out and put an umbrella over our table without us even asking. I really appreciated that. Even though it's counter service, several people checked on us during our meal, which was a nice surprise. We will definitely be returning. The combination of great food and thoughtful service is something not to be missed. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more
Went back again this weekend and I still love this place. I'm a bit biased since coffee shops and nurseries are my favorite places to frequent when I'm having a slow Saturday morning, but Telva has the best of both worlds! Not to mention the food is incredible. I love coming here for their house made syrups in my latte and you can't go wrong with any of the food options, but my favorite is the Clibir. Everything is healthy and the vibes are so fun.. staff is always so friendly and attentive. There is usually a long line at peak hours on the weekends but it moves quickly and it's so worth it! read more
Beautiful space with lots of greenery, great music, and friendly, attentive staff! The food was good but not too memorable. I had the Sloppy Mustafa Tost and it felt like something was missing. The biggest letdown was the "runny" egg, which wasn't runny at all, very surprising for a breakfast spot. The ordering process also takes away from the experience. Waiting in a long line to order and pay, then carrying your own water to the table, doesn't make for a relaxing brunch. My friend also wasn't told they had run out of the somun for the Cilbir until the food arrived and it had already been substituted. Overall, I loved the ambiance, but the food and service details didn't quite live up to the hype. read more

The ambiance of this place is the absolute cutest!! It's above a plant shop if you're interested in shopping before or after. Their food is to absolutely desire. I have never been disappointed when coming here. You order at the front counter and they bring your food to you so no direct service at the table. But everyone is very helpful if you have questions or need assistance. read more
Wow! This place is a gem! We were pretty intimidated by the long line, but it actually goes pretty quick and the food comes out just as quickly. Every bite was phenomenal. We had the Cilbir and Breakfrast Sendvic with sudzuka patty for savory items and they came out shortly after our pastries which came almost as quickly as we sat down. Both were savory delights. For pastries, we had the sour cherry scone and the tahini bun. Super well done on both counts. While smaller than anticipated, the sour cherry scone with thai basil was delicious and had a great textural variance. The outdoor patio is lush with greenery and was an easy choice on where to sit, but the inisde looked very fun as well. read more
Superrr yumm! I've been here three times so far and I left satisfied every time. My favorite dishes are the cilbir (turkish eggs) and the breakfast pide. Yasmina is an amazing server, she helped me decide one the best options for my taste and helped secure a reservation for my birthday brunch. My friends and I were taken care of by her and her team and made brunch feel so special. The vibe is perfect for family and friends! -I'm not much of a chocolate person but I did enjoy their hot chocolate. It's more on the sweeter side! Only downside is that it can be incredibly tricky to find parking depending on which day you come. read more
Finally found a spot with coffee ans real food, that the partner approves of! He usually likes a pastry with his afternoon coffee, so I was surprised when he ordered an avocado toast with an egg on top. Along with his double cortado, or hot latte with light milk, he has finally found a spot other than Starbucks for his afternoon coffee needs. He likes to say "would you like coffee" at lunch time. So that leaves me scrambling for real food. Today, I ordered the Baklava Granola parfait. I am focusing on a high protein lifestyle, they do have plenty of egg options, but I'm getting tired of eggs, so I jumped at the opportunity to get Greek yogurt. I wanted to ask where the yogurt came from, because it was so thick and not watery at all, I would definitely be interested in finding that for my home. Combined with granola, a drizzle of honey and baklava wafers, I would totally order it again but there were many other things that I would like to try! read more
What a wonderful coffee experience! Stopped by early on a Saturday morning to try a latte. Beautiful decor and energy inside. Ordered the iced Kazandibi latte (espresso with creamy whole milk and a caramel/vanilla syrup). Delish! Very strong flavor, almost bitter but in a good espresso way. Telva at The Ridge is one of the best breakfast spots. I've been a few times now and everything has been to die for. The Breakfast Sendvic with Sudzuka sausage was hearty and filling. The Cilbir was amazing because the garlic yogurt with tomato chile brown butter and herbs was perfect for dipping with sourdough. The Telva Avocado Toast was packed with fresh ingredients, messy but so good. We also tried the Breakfast Pide with dried sudzuka, which was like a flavorful breakfast pizza. We even had the pumpkin toast special, which was unique with a chili oil spice. Everything I've had here has been consistently delicious and don't forget to order their pastries. The service is also top-notch and they're very helpful when ordering and do a great job managing tables and seating. read more

Great food with an identity. Menu is small and thoughtfully composed, staying in its lane for ingredients. Loud boisterous atmosphere. Expect to wait in line for a table for weekend breakfast. Prices are extremely low for the quality and portion sizes are perfect. I will be returning. read more

I came back and brought a guest! I couldn't stay away from the European Sipping Chocolate and the Breakfast Sendvic, again! They were as good as I remembered from last month. We got there early, close street parking on a cold day. Snow was coming down pretty good by the time we left. Same great service, same great food. Do not sleep on the sipping chocolate, it is a winter and weekend only option. read more

Beautiful location! Well staffed with friendly people. And breakfast was amazing! We had the Turkish eggs, sloppy mustafa tost, a chai latte and a delicious Telva chocolate chip cookie. This was my first experience with Turkish eggs and I am a fan! Creamy yogurt base with runny eggs topped with a nicely spiced tomato-y sauce. Wow! The sloppy beef toast open face sandwich was also quite good. The chai latte had an amazing foam and was well balanced between the sweet and warm spices. So delicious! read more

We had a great time visiting Telva at the Ridge for brunch. They have food and drink menus at the welcoming desk and you would order at the counter before finding seats. The foods were made quickly but were so delicious. I ordered Cilbur with sunny sided up eggs and the dish was so flavorful. I particularly enjoyed the toasted somun that came with the dish. Their iced chai tea latte was very refreshing with perfect sweetness. Definitely will be back again! read more
I'll be dreaming about those Turkish eggs for a long time. And that somun with garlic butter? Pure brilliance. The place filled up quickly, and the dining area is pretty intimate, so planning ahead is a good idea. It took a little while to get our group's order in and again when settling the check, but given how busy it was, they may have just been understaffed. The menu is unique, thoughtfully executed, and full of standouts. Highly recommend adding this spot to your next brunch rotation. read more
We stopped into Telva's around 12:30pm on a Friday to find it buzzing with college students, laptop workers, and tourists. You order at the counter before being assigned a table. The European Sipping Chocolate is a seasonal hallmark and major draw for folks to Telva's. They only serve it on weekends (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays) in December. We had never been to Telva's and came explicitly to try this drink. There were a few tables to choose from, so that meant we were cozy with other customers; eavesdropping on your neighbors is almost inevitable. The sipping chocolate and baklava we ordered arrived at our table within 5 minutes. The sipping chocolate was oddly cool; we expected it to be at least a little warm. European Sipping Chocolate is intentionally high-quality, dark chocolate. The toasted marshmallow rims on the teacups are the perfect pairing, allowing each consumer to mix in some marshmallow to sweeten to taste. The chocolate was delicious, but so rich we did wish we had shared one order. We do think it would be lovely if Telva expanded the drink in the future to serve the toasted marshmallow with toppings like pistachios or berries. The pistachios especially would make the drink pair so well with their delicious house baklava! We are glad we took the time to taste the famed Telva's European Sipping Chocolate, but wish it had been served a bit warmer. read more

Came here on a Friday morning and it was wonderful! The space is large and beautiful. You order at the counter and they bring the food and drinks to your table. Highly recommend snagging an outdoor seat if possible! read more
The brunch menu has a variety of delicious items. And the drink offerings were great too. I guess because we'd made a reservation, we didn't have to stand in line. The food didn't come quick, BUT at least we got to sit it out. Ambiance is lacking though. Extreeemely loud and every time the front door opened, we almost got blown away. I don't understand why restaurants don't work on these physical problems. read more
This is such a cute brunch place with delicious Balkan food. It is the sister restaurant of Balkan Treat Box. Service is fast - you order at the counter and then get seated. Our favorite is the Cilbir as it was so savory and flavorful. It has a tomato and yogurt sauce with running eggs overlying. Knafeh was okay, not great. Telva at the Ridge has been on my list ever since they opened because I love their other restaurant Balkan Treat Box! I finally checked it out for a weekday lunch. We ordered and got our food quickly; the next-door neighbor Rolling ridge Nursery was fun to browse briefly. The French toast special BLEW me away. Crispy exterior and warm buttery interior topped with phyllo crispies, agda syrup, pears, the sweetest pomegranate seeds. I want to return purely for this French toast which was like the perfect marriage of a bread pudding and baklava. We also enjoyed the sloppy mustafa toast which reminded me of chili ground beef with a perfectly runny egg on bread. Their Cilbir Turkish eggs also look delicious and I will be back to try them next time! read more
I went to Telva for the first time while I was in Webster for an interview, and it was such a great find. I really enjoyed the chicken breakfast pide. It's also attached to a nursery, which made it an enjoyable experience. I loved being able to walk through and look at all the plants after eating. read more
Had a wonder brunch date here for the first time and was not disappointed! It's very spacious inside with nice patio seating outside. Everything is decorated beautifully. My partner and I both enjoyed a hot coffee with our meals and was very happy with it!! We were able to order at the counter and get seated fairly quickly for how busy they were. Our food arrived shortly after. We got the cilbir and the breakfast pide, both of which were so delicious and filling. There's a lot of complex flavors that work so well together! The bread was our perfectly baked and was so incredibly fluffy. Bonus points for having a plant nursery right next door! read more
I don't have much to compare it to, but I can safely say the Turkish eggs here are the best I've ever had. I learned Telva is the sister spot to BTB, so now I'm even more excited to try that next. It's a casual, order-at-the-counter, sit-where-you-like kind of place. There was a bit of a line to order, but the food came out super fast once we sat down. The coffee drinks are adorable, and the food was amaaaazing. The tomato-chile brown butter and garlic yogurt sauce on my Turkish eggs made this dish a total standout! Definitely get it with the house-made somun bread (or maybe an extra serving if you're like me). I left wishing I could've tried a bite of everything, which I guess just means I'll have to come back soon. read more
Everytime I tell myself to try something new...I remember Telva exists and I return happily. Brought my husband with me for the first time and those Turkish Eggs certainly wowed him. Guess he'll be a return visitor with me moving forward. This visit, I had the French toast (seasonal, dreamy, fab) and the carrot cake latte which I thought tasted great even if it didn't seem super carrot cake like to me. I've been meaning to try the orange Olive oil cake and I figured breakfast is a good time for that. :) Very flavorful, unexpectedly delightful texture and I left (as expected) a happy camper. One of the best brunch spots in St. Louis and I mean that. The fact that it's attached to a plant nursery alone makes it unique and special! The interior is earthy, kind of vintage, a little grunge, very cultural and layered. It just has so much character and personality to it. The menu is simple yet good variety. Please get the Bosnian coffee! It comes as a fun little DIY kit with a Turkish delight on the side and it is such a delightful experience haha! The lattes are also incredible and the mugs they serve in are so pretty. The food though. I don't even know where to start. We ordered a few dishes and every single one was insanely flavorful. The flavors just hit you all at once and so savory, so satisfying, I cannot brag about it enough. It's also super family and kid friendly and works really well for groups anywhere from two to eight people. Just a really special spot all around. Can't wait to come back! read more
Yeah these people know how to make really good food. When someone told me Balken Treat Box folks decided to start serving brunch I didn't think twice. They are a machine, huge space that's packed with a line out of the door so if it's a Sunday I suggest ordering online and going for a nice walk. Ideally not a grab and go but everything is damn good. read more
