3 Grilled Four Cheese & Tomato Bisque with French fries
    Jaslynn W.

I always love coming here. I brought two of my friends and they had a pleasant experience. My food was a 10/10 and the service is always really great. I got the four cheese grilled cheese with tomato soup and French fries. I also tried the latte which was amazing! The bourbon crème brûlée was a bit strong, but it was still good. The establishment is also always clean and so beautiful, especially in the evening when the sun goes down and it's dim inside. My friends didn't really enjoy their vegetables that came with their meal. They mentioned that it didn't taste fully cooked, otherwise they enjoyed their meal.

Brunch at Cyrano's is a whole vibe. First things first: the Empress 75. A lavender champagne cocktail that looks like it belongs on Instagram and tastes even better than it looks. Light, floral, and refreshing -- 10/10 recommend starting here. I went with the Eggs Florentine: poached eggs, avocado, spinach, and hollandaise piled on a waffle (yes, a waffle -- genius!). It was indulgent in all the right ways, with crispy potatoes on the side to balance it out. Around the table, people were raving about the French toast, lattes, and biscuits & gravy, so clearly the menu is stacked with winners. The atmosphere is eclectic and lively -- think cozy dining room buzzing with energy plus a sunny patio if you're in the mood for outdoor sips. Perfect for groups, brunch dates, or just treating yourself. Insider tip: come hungry and order a cocktail. You'll regret neither. Cyrano's has officially earned a spot in my St. Louis brunch rotation. Can't wait to come back! Follow me here (and on FB/IG/Google Maps/Beli) if you're into local eats, brunch finds, and plenty of bubbles.

My boyfriend and I decided to go out for a date night on Sunday, June 29th, and we have mixed feelings about this place. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was off. The greeting was awkward and unwelcoming. The man at the host stand -- who I assume was the manager -- seemed flustered and honestly made us feel like we weren't wanted there. When we asked for a table for two, he told us there would be a 30-minute wait. We said we'd wait and I requested a table outside. His response was a hesitant "ummm ok," and he jotted our name down without much warmth or hospitality. Since we were hungry, we decided to grab seats at the bar and dine there instead of waiting. We started with a Negroni and a tequila añejo old fashioned -- both were mediocre. For our appetizer, we had the BBQ shrimp, which was flavorful and delicious. For entrees, my boyfriend ordered the meatloaf and I had the lemon rosemary chicken with linguine. The food was fantastic -- the sauce on my chicken was layered with flavor. We also added a small order of fries we didn't need, but definitely didn't regret. To end the night, I ordered an espresso martini that struck a great balance between sweet and bitter -- you could still taste the coffee, which I loved. My boyfriend, a big coffee lover, first tried the espresso macchiato but found it overly bitter. He swapped it for the crème brûlée latte and enjoyed that much more. Now, for the service -- this is where things fell flat. The bartender barely acknowledged us. No greeting, no check-ins, no small talk -- nothing. The only words exchanged were: "What are you drinking?" "Are you ready to order?" and "Do you want dessert?" That was it. Very surface-level service, and frankly, it felt cold. As someone who works in the service industry, I know how much hospitality matters -- and unfortunately, it was severely lacking here. The food was great, but the overall experience felt uncomfortable and impersonal. Not sure if we'd return based on the vibe alone.

Cyrano's is not a bad option for food or drink, in fact the menu is impressive. The drinks feel like basic bar bistro options with some desert cocktails mixed in. With foods ranging from appetizers and shareable, full meals, and desserts. It's been open a long time as I grew up down the street the menu hasn't changed much. I went back to celebrate a happy hour for my mom's birthday, we got drinks and the hummus plate. The food was good with veggies and pita bread but we didn't try anything else off the menu food wise. Drinks we got two lemon drop martinis and a bottled beer, which took the longest. The bar tender hardly spoke to us and was hard to get ahold of. Otherwise it was fine and dandy

Our waitress, Camille took this visit up a star for me. I came in with a group of 8 for brunch and even though she was gonna get her 20% tip on everyone's check, she didn't treat us that way. MUCH appreciated. My Bloody Mary was good, though no exceptional. I ordered the Rare Seared Sesame Encrusted Tuna to share with the table and is was FANTASTIC. Even got someone who'd never eaten rare tuna to try it and she liked it. My breakfast, Eggs Neptune, was also very, very good. All the parts worked perfectly together. We shared 4 different desserts and even though the World's Fair Eclair was a bit of a disappointment, the Brown Shugga' Pie made up for it. I was willin' to fight folks for THAT one! My one complaint would be the acoustics. Really LOUD! Wish they'd do something about it.

Disappointing experience at Cyrano's Cafe to say the least. We hadn't been to this place in like, 10 years minimum. So when we stepped in for lunch, we were hoping for the same stellar service and food from back in the day. Boy oh boy has this place changed. No longer is the charming ambiance, attentive staff and delicious offerings. Cyrano's is now a place where you wait 30 minutes to get a refill for your drink, while you wait for your $20 burnt sandwich. We arrived at 3:00 and the hostess said, "Oh, our kitchen is behind. You should be able to order at 3:15 at the latest. Our server came, got us drinks, then disappeared into thin air. It took us asking multiple people where she was for her to reappear. We were finally able to order at 3:41. We should have just left. We ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Tenders for an appetizer. Those, I must admit, were seasoned pretty darn good. However, when our entrees arrived, at 4:02, they were burnt to a crisp. See photos below. Would I come back? An astounding: no. What has happened to this place? Who knew you could unintentionally have a two hour lunch because the staff don't know what they're doing...

Came for brunch and it was a really nice experience. We had a large group and were celebrating a birthday. Our server was attentive and pleasant, and had our drinks to us pretty promptly considering how many of us were present. I love their lattes so that's what I ended up ordering. Lots of people ended up getting Bellinis and mimosas and had great things to say about them, especially the Bellinis. I ended up getting a lunch choice, the veggie sandwich. It sounded delicious and I added turkey for protein. Their meat is by Sugarfire which is a plus in my book! My sandwich was amazing and so fresh, avocados, tomatoes, spinach, pepper, cucumbers, onion, on delicious bread with a goat cheese spread. I loved it and would definitely order it again. It was so big I had a second meal out of it. I recommend!

Bread pudding to die for! Have been a few times with friends just for the dessert. Dinner (beef tenderloin steak with Bordelaise sauce, roasted broccoli, garlic mashed potatoes) was excellent too! But dessert stole the show. Caramel brioche bread pudding with a cherry bourbon sauce. Excellent with vanilla ice cream and a fancy coffee. :) Friendly wait staff and such a cute setting with the lights and eclectic decor. Perfect for gathering with friends or a date night.

A group of us girls met for brunch. Nice menu with great drinks. And, save room for the yummy desserts. Menu is reasonable prices. I got a drink, entree and a dessert for $40 including tip. The restaurant gets a little loud. But, the service is great.

Cyrano's is top tier for STL desserts! Went on an afternoon date and tried the bread pudding. Even though they are on the $$ side, it's worth it.

Did you know that Cyrano's has a room that you can reserve for a party? I didn't either but they do. It's cute and serves the purpose for my friend's baby shower. The cozy room is perfect for about 20 people. There is a bar and a couch and room for a great appetizer section. The food was definitely Cyrano's. Very tasty. Large portions. Fantastic. While our hostess picked out the food, the curry chicken salad sandwich was so tasty. The charcuterie board was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this venue for a small party.

My family and I went on a Friday night for desert. We were seated immediately on their patio which was incredible but small if they are busy. Clean and plenty of options to choose from on their deserts. Our server was especially fun. Overall a great location to go on a date night!

Nothing divey about a hip cocktail or hip deviled eggs -- these are sophisticated modern twists, the exact move wine bars make and dives don't. A chalkboard of specials and weathered seating gesture at the aesthetic; the rest of the room knows. Kendall Roy of restaurants -- comes from privilege, wants badly to be of the people. It's a bit, and mostly the kitchen and bar back it up. Nevertheless, we arrived to a full room, hour wait for a table, but we fortunately arrived to snag the last first come patio table. The bar was also full, by the way, which felt neighborhood like, people clearly like this place during happy hour. The old fashioned makes the case: Old Grand-Dad Bonded, pickled rye, cognac, butterscotch bitters. Two whiskeys and a bitter you won't find at an actual dive. Rich, a little sweet. The harissa deviled eggs keep going -- fried shallots, roasted red peppers, cilantro, marinated tomato jam. You know, just like the old dive with the $1 PBR.Deviled eggs for people that don't like deviled eggs. However, we love deviled eggs...foreshadowing. The short ribs are the headline -- fall-apart tender over whipped potatoes substantial enough to stand up to the meat, gravy spot on. Eats like a perfectly executed roast dinner. The brie burger is the sneaky second hit, genuinely decadent, bacon with the cheese melting into the beef. The service was good and pleasant and that felt more like dive-friendly, where you might expect a wine "bar" to be snooty or full of themselves. 4.4 Stars Picking Nits: hip deviled eggs that reach past what they can hold. Tomato jelly on top is a lot going on, in the wrong way, and the egg disappears under it. These are trying to be hip deviled eggs more than they're trying to be good deviled eggs. Every ambitious kitchen has one plate that tries too hard; this appears to be one. A 5 needs those eggs landing, in the same way the entrees excelled. Regardless, we'll be back.

That's the vibe. We started on the front patio on a Friday night and quickly realized we'd made a mistake. The doors to the interior were open and the music -- a rock-forward playlist that night -- was loud enough that we considered bailing. Our server, was unbothered when we asked to move up to the rooftop. Where we met with a new bartender and server, London, who rolled with it, got us resettled, and from that point on the night was great. London was clearly handling the bar and most of the rooftop tables, but she was attentive throughout, and made eye contact, which seems a near miracle from many 20-something these days. Bumping the score up just for the flexibility on the table move alone. The food: crab cakes were genuinely good, not life-changing, but well above the weak-crab-cake bar that exists in most of the world, served simply with capers and a small salad. I went off-script and ordered the wagyu burger medium rare with fontina (London mentioned cheddar is the more common pick, but the Fontina offerd a great alternative). The burger was deeply flavorful and cooked exactly right, but here's my one real note for the kitchen: toast the brioche bun. Wagyu medium-rare puts out a lot of juice, and an untoasted bun loses its structural integrity about three bites in. A quick toast would let the bun keep some additional integrate and keep up with the perfectly cooked beef. The pom buff were great, the best elevated patato tots you may come by. Beyond what we ordered, the Greek salad is a longtime go-to -- chopped, with grape leaves and pita, available in a small or large, and easily dressed up into a light meal with or without adding some protein or can be share as a self-dress bruschetta appetizer for the group if you ask for extra bread. The cheese boards are also a reliable pick. The wine list is extensive (it's a wine bar, after all), but they don't sniff at cocktails -- I had a solid fine old fashioned, and my wife shared had a Malbec that paired well with everything. Lots of gluten-free options across the menu, too. What Sasha's gets right is that it has refused to become precious. "Wine bar" reads as pretentious to some people, but this place runs as a neighborhood spot. You'll see college kids dressed way down, couples on dates dressed way up, Hawaiian shirts, oversized sweaters, the full range. There were a few open tables, but we were asked to wait by the door while they "got situated." Meanwhile, a walk-in who arrived after us was seated at a table we had been waiting for. When we were finally seated, we were placed in direct sun. I asked if we could move to a shaded table in the corner and was told it was only for parties of three. After explaining we'd just be there briefly for a drink, we were allowed to sit there, but the interaction felt dismissive. From that point on, the experience felt rushed. We were pushed to order quickly, our menus were taken right away, and the check came almost immediately. It made what should have been a relaxed stop feel uncomfortable and transactional. I understand how busy restaurants can get, especially on nice days, but a little more consideration and courtesy would have gone a long way.
