Gorgeous space, relaxing mixed seating options. Super hot outside, tried an Iced Caramel Macchiato and it was enjoyable. Quiet and nice for an early afternoon break.
Tried a latte with their house made marshmallow syrup. Was hoping for a strong flavor but didn't taste any marshmallow/little sweetness. The espresso tasted great, would recommend to try a different syrup as my friend liked her vanilla latte and scone!
10x upgraded better than Starbucks. Enjoying delicious blueberry and marshmallow ice coffee. Pleasant and positive ambiance. Plus no weird people. So impressed. Big smile face on my face.
Cute, aesthetic coffee shop in Webster Groves. It has a cool but cozy ambiance that seems great for studying or working. I ordered the gingerbread latte with oat milk which was delicious and picked up a bag of the house blend beans. It seems like they only have one size option for lattes. which I'd guess was a 12 oz. cup. Parking is limited as it's only street parking, but we didn't have too much trouble even on a Saturday morning. Definitely would come back! And for the summer it looked like they have nice outdoor patio seating.
Highly recommend the s'mores latte and raspberry latte. Their drinks are not overly sweet like a lot of other establishments. The cherry almond scone is especially great when served warm. The space is pleasant and the service is expedient. Natalie is friendly and provides great recommendations.
Really cute place! I came here because I saw it suggested in a tiktok video. They had lots of options and I went with the seasonal banana bread shaken espresso! It was really good! They also had a lot of yummy looking pastry items, I asked the staff member what she recommended and she was really helpful in helping me pick something out. I ended up getting the almond poppy seed loaf and it was good! I really want to come back and get a matcha because I saw someone else get one and it looked super good! I also just grabbed my order to take it home and I think the space is beautiful so I would love to come back and hang out for a while! The closest lot was full when I came but I found some street parking not too far away.
23 West is such a cute spot. The interior is super stylish and well-designed. It is definitely one of those places that feels curated but still comfortable. There's also plenty of outdoor seating, which makes it a great place to hang out on a nice day. The staff was really friendly, and I have to give a special shoutout to the restroom setup. There's a very nice changing table stocked with complimentary baby wipes, which any parent will appreciate. It's a small touch that goes a long way. The only downside is that the prices are a bit on the higher side, and they do charge for even just a splash of oat milk, which always feels a little unnecessary. Still, it's a lovely place with good vibes and thoughtful details. I'd definitely come back for the atmosphere alone.
First time at 23 West! I can confidently say I'll be coming back :) This place has been on my list for a while. My friend put me on the STL Coffee Passport and once I saw this shop was on the list I thought I'd give it a try. I was greeted by a barista who shares the same name as me! Honestly, in addition to the great seasonal flavors and customizations for the coffee, it made my day. To drink, I've been sipping on the orange blossom latte with ube foam. This was a bit of a custom ask but as it's seasonal, I wanted to take advantage of all the flavors! It came out beautifully and tastes like a sweet and savory summer. To eat, I've been enjoying the blueberry muffin. I think I detect a bit of lemon! It's so good :) Rating this place a 5/5 because the vibes are amazing, it's remote worker friendly, the menu is massive, and the staff is so helpful and friendly. Definitely surpassed my expectations :)
To the girl in the overalls that took my order and the sweet barista who made the pecan matcha for me: this latte made me a better person!!! This cafe gave me a great first impression from just the outside, the patio and inside dining room is gorgeous and extremely clean. The staff was so accommodating and showed curiosity when I asked to add their house made pecan syrup in the matcha. I feel like that's what makes a great cafe! My sister got their Vietnamese style cold brew and didn't have to make any adjustments to it. What a fantastic cafe and hope to see longevity with this place.
I had heard about this place when they opened and had a vague idea of where they were located, but it took the discovery of their winter specials for me to stop by: specifically their gingerbread latte. The place itself is next to a bank and in front of Llewellyn's, with a shared lot in between the buildings. Since I stopped by on Christmas Eve, it was fairly quiet inside at the time, though it did look pretty inviting. They take their time with the drinks, so it does seem like a place better suited to lounge around and sip your coffee. The drink itself was pretty good, and unique to the other GBLs in town, mine had a slight kick to it. Also interestingly, they did have an espresso martini on the menu, so that might be the thing to get to finish off a brunch day
why did it take me so long to try this spot? love that they make their own syrups, have a great rotation of flavors, and the staff are super sweet. if you want a luxurious coffee setting to do work, or socialize... this is the place 100% the banana bread latte was ridiculously good

I was wonderfully delighted when I randomly came across this cafe! The matcha was top tier, and the cold brew had just enough flavor without being overpowering. I personally prefer my drinks on the sweeter side, so I would have loved a little more syrup in both of the drinks we tried today, but they were still really good! The service was quick, and I loved the patio area. My only other suggestion would be to have a few more indoor seating options for smaller groups. The few 2-person tables were full, so we ultimately ended up sitting at a 6-top even though there were only two of us. Overall, such a cute little find and definitely somewhere I'd come back too read more

This was recommended by a friend (it's her favourite spot) so I was glad I was around the area to try it. I got one of their specialty lattes and my friend got the tiramisu cold brew. They were both great although I would probably come back and try just the regular coffee (and their matcha as well). Service was fairly quick, drinks came out a little after ordering. The vibes were great and there's plenty of seating inside. Perfect place to chill and hang out with friends - but they do close earlier so. read more
This might be the best coffee shop in the area, except that they don't have any food, that I'm aware of, other than a small selection of baked goods. But why would you want to eat food from a coffee shop? I've been visiting coffee shops on the reg for the past several weeks, and I've repeatedly made the mistake of ordering breakfast sandwiches, burritos and what have you. I have no one to blame for this but myself. I knew going in that it wasn't a good idea. I just couldn't help myself. This must be how people end up on drugs. There was a race going on nearby, when I visited 23 West yesterday. I wasn't involved, though I was there in a running capacity. My running group just happened to be meeting there. We ran a few miles in the neighborhood before our visit. By the time we got there, there was quite a crowd. The contrast between the sweaty, disheveled runners and the sleek, modern decor was striking. This place has an interior like some showroom where you're pressured into taking out a high-interest loan to purchase jewelry of questionable provenance. Are they in cahoots with the bank next door? Both buildings, I notice, have a similar facade. 23 West is painted the same shade of gray as a post-McPlayPlace-era McDonald's, when they started trying to look like a Chipotle. Some girls on apps prefer it if you didn't take them to get coffee. It's not expensive enough. If you can get one to agree to such a date, you might consider bringing them here. It's classy. The coffee is good too. I went with the Raspberry Cheesecake Cold Brew, a seasonal item. It was magnificent. I ordered mine to-go, so I could enjoy it at the tables out front, and in case 12 showed up. They give it to you in a tall plastic cup with no lid, filled to the point where it's nearly impossible to carry without spilling, presumably so you can sample the delicious cheesecake-like froth and probably get a little bit of it in your mustache. You can't really sip it with a straw. The coffee itself is surprisingly robust, given the depth of the raspberry flavor. It's an odd idea for a drink, and not something I'd usually order, but the execution was on point. I also went with a Cherry Almond Scone. I had to eat something, for emotional reasons, and it looked interesting. I'm no expert on scones, but I enjoyed it. It may have been the most dense baked good I've ever eaten, to the point where it could probably be used as a weapon, in a pinch. I know it's supposed to be similar to a biscuit and that in England, where they're consumed on the reg, a biscuit is known as a cookie (why?). It's a lot dryer than even the biscuits at a Lee's Famous Recipe, but intentionally so, I guess because it's designed to be eaten with a beverage. A hot beverage is probably ideal, but I made it work with a cold brew. It's the kind of thing you don't realize until after the fact. Next time I'll know. If and when I do return, I'll be dressed as a magician, possibly with a young lady in tow. read more

This spot is always so lovely and aesthetically pleasing. I came here between meetings and it was the perfect spot to get some work done and grab a coffee. They had a special February/ valentines menu, so I decided to get the black sesame vanilla latte. I love anything sesame, and this was perfect. It wasn't too sweet and had a bit of a sesame taste to it. The specials on the menu were super creative and I'm curious to see what their next seasonal menu will include. Looking forward to coming back. read more

This is a charming, modern coffee shop located in the heart of Webster Groves. We just moved back to the area and this shop was not around when we previously lived here. The baristas were super friendly as well. Unfortunately, the coffee was just okay, or I would rate the place higher. Perhaps I just tried the wrong latte? I'll likely come back in the future to see if I can find something I like better. read more
Friendly baristas, chill soundtrack, well-lit modern aesthetic with currogated metal, hardwood, grey/black emphasis with pops of green, and pretty solid coffee and pastries. Looks like cocktails are on the menu if that's your thing - including mimosas, Bellinis, carajillos, and aperol spritz, among others - and their dirty chai (which did end up being over $9 w/ tip, FYI) is tasty. Located in downtown Webster Groves, in close proximity to Olive & Oak and much more. Great place to walk to. read more
The new coffee spot, 23 West Coffee in Webster Groves is super cute, clean & has ample space! I ordered a vanilla caramel iced latte & a spinach quiche. My coffee was made very efficiently & served out very quick. My quiche was even warmed up for me which was really nice. They were both super delicious!! The location is super convenient to get to, there isn't a private parking lot so it's street parking only but I didn't have any problems finding a spot. The only thing I would add would be a few more high top chairs at the bar seating area. If you haven't tried go in & take a try! read more

Espresso is decent, maple is a little smoky, they wouldn't let me sample their specialty cold brew (which is their right), so I did not have a chance to try it. Ambiance is alright, probably good for the area but I live in San Diego so most places outside of SD are underwhelming. read more
The coffee here was amazing. I'm not normally a coffee drinker because it's really bitter, but this coffee was so smooth and you could tell the beans were the best of the best. When we got there, they told us there was a bit of a wait so we expected there to be some awkward time waiting. It wasn't too long of a wait and it didn't feel too uncomfortable to watch the process from the side. I was really happy I didn't get charged any extra for getting oat milk - a real rarity! read more

I was so excited to hear a new coffee shop was opening in the area. I often frequent Clover & the Bee but that's more of a brunch spot for me. We came in the early afternoon on a weekend and it was busier than we expected with lines to the front door, minimal seating options inside, and a line of people waiting for their drinks. We waited and we're greeted by the sweet staff. The selection of baked goods was minimal but they do have a refrigerated section with some juices and quick snacks to grab on the go. The space is beautiful and can accommodate a good amount of people inside and out. We did enjoy the experience but this is still a fairly new place and they seem to be working out some of the kinks around service and getting drinks out quickly. Worth a visit if you are looking for a new place but be mindful that wait times can be longer than expected. read more
I was excited to hear about 23 West Coffee opening and finally made my first (but not last) appearance. On my visit I decided to try a few classics--a vanilla latte & almond croissant. The coffee is VERY good. Wonderfully rich flavor I'm still thinking about the next day. The flavor & size of the croissant was great too--I do think their pastries are a touch more costly than alternative coffee shop options. The baristas all were very friendly and honestly do a very impressive job of helping you feel welcomed to the space. The shop has a very sleek appearance which could make the space seem cold & maybe less likely for folks to sit around and chat. However, the kindness & warmth the staff brings to the shop makes it feel genuinely wonderful to be at. I'm looking forward to future visits! read more
I had been wanting to try 23 West for a while so I was excited to get to stop by a few weeks ago. They definitely focus on aesthetic and espresso drinks without a lot of sugary contents which is great. I would like to see a seasonal drink or two but I can appreciate just great coffee. I ordered an iced latte and a chocolate croissant. The iced latte came out quickly and was good. The chocolate croissant had way too much chocolate it was more candy bar consistency especially since I didn't have it heated. The croissant seemed nice and flaky I would just like to taste more of it. read more
Such a clean and aesthetic coffee shop! Love the interior so much and that moss wall is beautiful. It's a great place for studying. It has lots of table and seating and there are a lot of outlets. Our drinks were good but not amazing so we want to go back and try some more! They also have pastries to snack on. Workers were nice and helpful and were constantly working to keep the place clean. Definitely will be back to work/study here! read more
Such a good way to start our Sunday morning. The moment I walked inside, I felt a great vibe here. The barista greeted us with a big smile. I was obsessed with the aesthetic look and modern design.My partner got the liquid tiramisu (cold brew with tiramisu foam on top). It was pretty good. The warm Almond croissant complimented his coffee every well. I got myself a matcha latte and spinach quiche. I was totally satisfied with my order. 23 West Coffee is such an awesome spot for a coffee date. We will definitely return!!! read more

Super cute coffee spot in Webster! Connected to a tiny parking lot by shared with the bank and there is also street parking. You walk into a sleek coffee shop with chair and table seating. It isn't massive but we were able to sit right down after grabbing our coffee. Servers were super friendly and the bakery items looked and tasted DELISH! I had the lavender cappuccino and it was so so so dang good! I will be back! Be sure to try the bacon quiche!! It's so warm and gooey! Yum! read more
I got an iced honey latte with oatmilk. It was smooth and not too sweet. I also got the chocolate croissant. I wish it had been warmed up, so I may ask for that next time, but nonetheless still delicious! Very modern looking space! Quick service and friendly baristas. read more
23 West has a great vibe when you walk inside - very minimal yet cozy design. I ordered the flat white and bacon quiche and both were excellent. I was able to sit and relax reading a book - while I was here many people ordered the liquid tiramisu drink so I recommend trying that! read more
