Kaldi's is one of my fav local spots. One of the few places I'll get a black coffee because it's so good. They also have great breakfast sandwiches. The good and bad thing about this location is the ample seating and working space. This is realllly great but also can be hard during busy hours to find a spot to sit. (Guess that just proves how popular it is) I highly recommend!
Im always so impressed with their avocado toast!! I crave it every time I come here. The sauce on top is the perfect amount of spice and makes it so delicious. The bread they use is also amazing! Everyone was friendly and the line moved quick despite being busy.
I want to love this place, I really do. My family loves it, my friends love it, but all I taste is something I could make at home for $5 less. Everything I've tried has been very bitter yet somehow watered down as well. Very watery, tasteless coffee. The staff is great, the interior is clean, I just don't vibe with their coffee. Maybe I'm trying the wrong drink? On a good note, the Ube Latte I recently tried was decent, but probably because half of it wasn't coffee.
Kaldis is always a staple! I love their cappuccino set up, their iced matcha, and their breakfast burritos. The staff is very helpful and the atmosphere is perfect for whatever you need to do!
Packed on a Saturday about 45 minutes befor closing. Line moved fairly quick and counterperson sweet and efficient. I love this seasonal drink, not sure why I ever tried it as I'm not a big rosemary fan, but paired with brown sugar the rosemary is a small hint and oh so good. I am always nervous they won't bring it back and excited when they do!
Petite little store that is great for grabbing a quick bite or coffee. If the line isn't long. Haha. This place is always busy, but I guarantee you that won't change your experience. There's enough clean seating for everyone. Key word: clean. This place is furnished really well and tidy. Service was decent, which I will consider good. I ordered a ube cookie and a matcha latte, and I will say it didn't dissappoint. The matcha latte is hot, (fork found in kitchen), but when it simmers down the taste is the right amount of oolong and it's delicous. Ube cookie was tasty. Would go here again.
Their festive fall drinks and relatively quiet space were the perfect place to work remotely during the week. I also like that they call the order name out through a mic so you can hear your order ring up whether you're inside or outside. I didn't get any food this time because I was sad to discover they have different food at different locations. Their sweet potato and black bean burrito in the previous CWE location and their sour cream with chives from the Midtown location were delicious! I hope they bring these beloved menu items back. They ran out of whole milk when I was there during the week, which happens. I was pleasantly surprised when my drinks still tasted good when made with almond milk.
Lovely morning spent at Kaldi's, complete with iced coffee, avocado toast, and gooey butter cake! Kaldi is counter service - they have the menu posted online and up on a screen above the counter. Once you order, you're able to find a seat inside or outside and they'll call out your name to pick up your drink order. If you order any food, they'll give you a number and bring your food out to you. They were very quick, even though they were pretty busy! They've got a great patio setup outside and cozy coffee shop vibes outside. We loved our iced lattes - they tend to have seasonal options as well. The avocado toast was delicious, I do wish there was more avocado on it - it was heavy on the bread. The housemade hot sauce it comes with is very good. The gooey butter cake and pastries are all delicious but overpriced. Overall a good experience though!
Stopped by Kaldi's to grab a coffee and take a couple calls the other day. It's becoming one of my favorite places to work. The staff is really kind and pleasant, and there's always a space to find a seat. The coffee is delicious, and the space has such a local feel compared to other places. Parking can seem tight initially, but there is a free parking garage across from the building/ off of the side street. There is also one behind the building as well. It's also in a great location, perfect place to grab coffee and walk the streets of downtown Kirkwood.
Popped up to Kaldi's today to meet up with a colleague I hadn't seen in ages. I thought this would be the perfect place to meet. I was greeted as soon as I came in, and ordered my coffee and breakfast sandwich. The coffee was ready immediately and my sandwich was brought to my table fairly quickly. I forgot to ask for water, which was fine, because there's a tap and plastic cups on the condiment station, which is a great touch! Even on a workday, they still did a pretty brisk business, which was great to see. (It gets packed on the weekends, but there was still empty seats today on a Thursday) The bakery items looked good, too. I love this place.
The food here is amazing! I'm obsessed with the Egg Bagel with sausage, it's perfect. The cookies and muffins are to die for! Their smoothies are so delicious. The vibes here are great for relaxing to study, read a book or to just chill. The people working here are 10/10, Phebe, Eili, and Robert are my favorite. Everyone here is so kind and respectful.
Yes, it's expensive, but when I say this is the best coffee in the nation, I mean it with my whole heart. Being home for the holidays means stocking up on kaldis!!!! Ordered a 16 oz. Peppermint mocha (I don't really like Starbucks PMs) with oat milk and it was amazing. Love love love. Total came to like $7.50
Definitely my favorite (not so little) coffee shop in my hometown. Every time I come to Kaldi's I'm filled with nostalgia with memories of my early high school self who would come here to sometimes study but mostly spend time with my friends. Little did I know back then, the coffee is amazing! Coming back now, it's mostly the same layout with a facelift. It's spacious with tables, booths, comfy chairs, and a community working area. I went with one of the holiday specials, the brown sugar and rosemary latte. This was one of the most unique lattes I've ever had! The rosemary is strong, but is balanced nicely by the coffee and brown sugar. If you're into super sweet drinks, this probably isn't for you, but I enjoyed the unusual flavor combinations and creativity. My husband ordered Kaldi's version of a peppermint mocha and really enjoyed it as well. I usually try to grab a slice of gooey butter cake whenever I pay Kaldi's a visit, because it's my FAVORITE from here. I've also tried plenty breakfast/lunch items on the menu and they are all solid. Kaldi's is definitely a busier coffee shop, but it has truly become a staple in Kirkwood and I'll continue to visit whenever I'm in town!
There's another coffee place nearby that we wanted to try, but it's not open on Sundays, so Kaldi's it was! That may have been for the best. I know Kaldi's has labor issues and might be paying their employees in coupons they can exchange for day-old baked goods, but that's neither here nor there for me, because I don't work there. And I know they once had a reputation for charging entirely too much for coffee and what have you, as if they were Whole Paycheck, but that's been rendered at least somewhat moot by the fact that everyone does that now. (I'd mention whom we have to blame for that, but I don't think it's necessary.) What a lovely location this place is in. If you time your Sunday morning run just right, you can arrive right as people are assembled, with their luggage, at the little train station next to the parking lot. Hopefully, they're not about to hop a train somewhere for tragic reasons. I used to travel by bus on occasion, and I've heard some stories. The inside is lovely. If they're overcharging, they at least spent some of it on the decor. The lights are dimmed, like at a fine-dining establishment. If you can convince a girl on Hinge to meet you somewhere for coffee, and you don't want her to see what exactly you look like, this place would be perfect. Also, if she's willing to meet IRL, and possibly give it up, in exchange for a $9 latte, chances are you're not gonna want to see what exactly *she* looks like. I've had the breakfast burrito from most local coffee places and only really cared for the one from Upshot, which might be the best thing I ever had in a restaurant. I figured Kaldi's offering wouldn't be anything to write home about but I'd try it anyway, for the sake of citizen food journalism. If this place has the unmitigated gall to charge a Section 8 rent payment for something you can get in the freezer at QT (with a free coffee, if you use the app), people need to know. Turns out that wasn't really the case. Their breakfast burrito isn't anything you just have to have, but it isn't half bad either. The ingredients are a cut above something you might get at a fast food restaurant, and I appreciate the way that the eggs, bacon, potatoes and what have you all seemed to be cooked together rather than layered on separately like in some elaborate bean dip. The bacon is greasier than you'd expect, in a good way, some of which carries over to the eggs and potatoes. A side of sour cream or salsa, or a bottle of Cholula on the table, would have really set it off. I guess coffee is what they're known for. I've had their regular coffee once or twice and recall liking it, but I've heard some people complain that it tastes burnt. But I know some people say the same thing about the coffee at Starbucks, and I might be the only person who likes that. (And yet they somehow manage to stay in business.) Kaldi's iced vanilla latte is surprisingly complex, for what it is. It's not overly sweet, and it's much more coffee-forward than the version I had a week before at Kentzo. Sometimes these things taste more like milk than anything else, which is fine with me, because I love milk, but this is probably how they're supposed to taste. If it's true what they say, that the labor here is not completely voluntary in nature, then at least they're running a tight ship. The consequences for subpar performance must be positively brutal. read more
I was in Kirkwood and wanted to stop by for a drink. I haven't been back in a couple of years. Cozy vibes inside, lots of seatings. Service was fast. Very excited they got a seasonal menu with Ube latte and Strawberry Banana Matcha on. I decided to get the Matcha and it was decent! Definitely need to stir it at the beginning and occasionally because the matcha kind of gets separated. However, it was $9 with no add on or anything, pretty steep in my opinion. read more

Always a good cup of coffee for folks like me who love a hot dark roast, black. My wife says their latte is also very good. Service in their Kirkwood store is usually solid, but avoid the 9 AM "rush hour" during the school year. When I have breakfast, it is usually the unwrapped breakfast burrito. Very tasty! Sit out on the patio when the weather is good and watch the trains go by! read more
I came to Kaldi's to use my Experience Book to try a couple lattes. Both Kaldi's locations I've been to with this didn't know what it was and I had to wait for them to ask someone which is slightly annoying but not a big deal. I ordered a fresh mint latte and Mayan mocha. I waited for my coffees and the area around when they came out was a little crowded for what I'm comfortable with right now but I brought my mask in. I love their outdoor seating area it's full of sunshine and has ample amount of seating. The fresh mint latte is definitely better iced when I've tried that variety. The Mayan mocha is pretty good. read more

What a treat to be able to dine in and enjoy my cold brew and pastry while studying! This location seems to have a lot more seating than most Kaldi's, and I appreciated how safe the booths were with high plexiglass dividers. I felt very comfortable here and just wish I had arrived earlier so I could have stayed longer. Beautiful outdoor tables would have been tempting if the weather had been cooler. Staff were exceptionally friendly in Kirkwood, and the only reason I didn't give them five stars is that there was apparently some mixup with my order. After waiting 10 minutes for my drink, I asked about it and the barista apologised and made it immediately. Not sure what happened, but it was worth the wait. Now that I know they close at 3 I'll go earlier (& hopefully get my drink sooner, ha) so I can enjoy more dine-in time. read more
Kaldi's is a favorite. The Kirkwood location is a decent size and nice for grabbing breakfast or lunch and hanging out. The staff is super helpful for those of us who may have dietary restrictions or can't decide what we want. Kaldi's locally roasts their beans. Whole or ground beans are available for purchase (several varieties). I haven't had anything that wasn't excellent, but I am partial to the Mayan Mocha. Their oats for breakfast are hearty and delicious, too. read more

This is my favorite place to hang out on the weekends. It was mobbed today on a Sunday and the line moved quickly and the staff are so friendly and professional. While I actually go elsewhere for my coffee, I think Kaldis has the best tea in town. Check out the breakfast bowl! Maybe one day they'll have more desserts that are dairy free. Pull up a chair, hang out outside or relax on the couch for a delightful time. read more
I always love coming here. The baristas are so nice and are doing a great job at keeping the place clean during the pandemic! It's a great place to hang out outside or inside get some work done or see a friend. The coffee is always great and the food is even better! Haven't had anything here I haven't liked! Great place!! read more
I've been to this Kaldi's location a couple times and the one thing I really love about this location in particular is the large indoor seating selection. This location also has a really cute outdoor seating area in the summer, conveniently located in Downtown Kirkwood right next to the train station. The last time I was here I ordered the gooey butter cake and it was pretty good! Very sweet (as you would suspect with any gooey butter cake) and fairly fresh. My usual coffee order is the drip coffee which is very fairly priced. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop in Kirkwood. Kaldi's has a nice ambience if you're looking for a spot to relax with friends, or get some work done. Their coffee never disappoints. I also like to get their egg and cheddar biscuit! If you plan to visit them at lunchtime on the weekend, I'd get there before 11am to guarantee you can find a place to sit. read more

I ordered a coffee and there was a mixup at checkout that led to me being overcharged. I wouldn't have even caught it (it was minor), but the manager did catch it and immediately coached the new employee on how to handle it -- and then proceeded to give me free drink tokens for next time. The situation was handled so gracefully. I will definitely return and recommend Kaldi's in Kirkwood! It's refreshing to see such great leadership and service! And the drink was drool worthy! read more
