Mint Mayday- do you see the Mint in the right upper corner of my drink?

I love this spot for studying and working so I'm so glad another coffee place decided to open at this location. Only thing is..... they don't do Cold Foams. I know first world problems, right? I sucked it up and I got their Cookie Butter Latte iced & their Mint Mayday! Both were really yummy and not too sweet. Right amount of sweet for me. For Mint Mayday, I was like "Mint in coffee? I don't know about that"! Surprisingly, it was good and very refreshing. If I wasn't scared of acid reflux, I would've chugged it! Great space for work and study for solo and group. Outlets everywhere! Good lighting! Street meter parking (download parkmobile) Few pastries available, but no kitchen food. Friendly staff!

This is such a massive space and I love the main area and the outdoor section. They are open until 8pm which is such a rarity. Popped in on a Sunday evening and ordered an iced matcha with honey. It was perfectly sweetened. Staff were friendly and the matcha was out fairly quickly. Great place to come and work. The music was a vibe but not too loud of distracting. I loved just hanging out and reading.

My new favorite coffee shop. There's tons of space to work, great coffee, nice staff, and a quiet patio!

What a delightful stop on my way through the central West End! I use this frequently and it previously held another coffee shop that closed down. I'm so happy to see shortwave has opened in its place. Kind staff, quick service, and a delicious latte! Lots of seating (a good mix of two person booths, tables, and window/high top seating). I was surprised with how busy it was for noon on a Tuesday! I will absolutely be back and wish them nothing but continued success as people start making this their morning stop!

I was really excited to try shortwave and stopped by to do some homework. I ordered a tea and let staff know I'd be outside. I'm normally exceptionally patient when I notice a place is shortstaffed and/or busy, but was a bit confused why my tea had taken almost 20 minutes to prepare, and while the tables were filled inside, there wasn't an active line and it seemed to be not so much in a rush. I had asked one of the staff about it and it seemed as if my order was forgotten about. Totally fine, humans make mistakes! I didn't let it affect my judgement. The tea was otherwise delightful. About an hour or so later, I went to order a simit. I was pretty bummed when I learned that my order was, again, forgotten about when I had inquired about it. I want to give grace because this time around, they had been what I believe to be shortstaffed. Still, I am a bit disappointed in my first go here. I'm certain that this isn't truly what a shortwave experience should be and would like to give it another go next time.

This one did, so I walked over from the restaurant where we were after lunch. This is a very pleasant shop with lots of available seating. It just has a rather modern look, and it was very nice and clean. I came up to talk to a friendly barista. The pour over menu was a bit confusing because there wasn't a lot of information directly on the menu, I asked about one pour over because I had never tried a bean of that origin before. She had good things to say about it, but she said that, if I wanted something fruity or floral to try Haro Wachu from Ethiopia. It was as if she read my mind because I had been wanting to try a natural processed Ethiopian. I'm really glad I took her suggestion! It was one of the best cups of coffee I've ever tried. I didn't taste so much of a note of fruit in it, but I still loved it! I made sure to make a note of what it was in case I have room for more beans at home and want to order it. So, I do wish it was easier to tell what each pour over was in the menu (They have a lot at reasonable prices!). However, I left there thoroughly impressed with the coffee. If you are out on Delmar Loop, they are definitely worth visiting.

If they're religious, why name your shop after a movie that is about Satans child. Once I visited, all of those concerns were pushed aside. As I entered, I was immediately greeted by an associate working behind the bar. It was a generic greeting since I was not a known customer. While I enjoyed my Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso, other customers got a greeting with their name. The space is spacious. It's very minimalist and very bright from the large windows. I liked the contemporary furniture. I was also impressed how super clean the entire cafe was. However, what impressed me the most was how inclusive the customers were. I would have never thought a religious coffee shop would be so welcoming to the alternative lifestyle. While I enjoyed my Espresso and Blueberry donut, I also enjoyed the eye candy. I'd say a third of those enjoying coffee and working on their computers play for the same team that I do. To my surprise, one of them was from my past of twenty years ago. So I send a thank-you, to Omen for reconnecting us. Will I be back? When I'm in the area, I'll stop by. I enjoyed my drink and the Blueberry Donut. The service was good and professional. I very much enjoyed it! First and foremost, my coffee was great which is the main priority for me but I was incredibly impressed with the atmosphere! The space was big and open with a cute bar and tons of tables. People were there meeting and working and it just gave off amazing vibes. The workers were so kind as well. There were only two people working so it took a little long but literally it was no problem at all. They apologized for the delay but the vibes in there were so great it truly didn't even phase me. They greeted everyone that walked in and even said goodbye to me by name when leaving. I'll definitely be back!
