I will say this is a great spot for coffee. I ordered the honey lavender iced latte with oat milk and it met my expectations. The blend of espresso was pneumonia. I love the decorations inside. It is a classy brunch/ lunch location. The chocolate filled croissant was delicious! I loved the sugar cookie as well. Who ever the chef is needs to be recognized bc the food looked incredible. If you have not checked out this place you need to!
Coma is a great spot if you are in the area or, even better, if you are stopping in the building! I'm lucky my dermatologist is upstairs so I always stop by. I always get an iced caramel latte, and they rank well amongst other lattes I've tried. There is usually always a line, but service is quick at the counter, and I've never waited too long for my drink. One con is that it's fairly loud in here, and each time I've been, I've never been able to find a spot to sit inside. Luckily, each time I go I'm always taking my drink to do. I recommend Coma for your next coffee stop!
I love love love their seasonal strawberry matcha! Wish they had it year round. It's the absolute best in St. Louis and I've tried quite a few. Coma is also just such a good coffee shop to sit and work, or to catch up with someone. They have many different seating options, and although inconspicuous from the outside, is very cute and bright on the inside. Don't miss out their second floor, the stairs are near the entrance when you walk in.
I had a giftcard for here left from a long time ago so I decided to finally use it up. During covid this was my go to coffee place as they had half gallons to go. I ordered a vanilla latte and the seasonal spicy potato hash. My coffee was delicious and came out pretty quick. Sadly though my food took over 20 mins and the eggs were overdone. It was cold too by the time it got to me. Taste was good. It's a cool place with both an upstairs and a downstairs. Seems like a lot of people go there to work and spend a good amount of time there. Seating isn't always easy, but I did find a seat upstairs. I will def come back for coffee, maybe not to eat.

I finally returned, and this might as well be a completely different store. On this Sunday that I stopped in, people were all over, some socializing, some working, some grabbing food. There is plenty of hang out space inside and outside of the shop. I didn't grab any food, but that which I saw looked great. And the coffee was excellent as well. Definitely the type of place that invites you to stay awhile
Came back to give them another try. This time i was definitely impressed. The young lady working the register was friendly and welcoming. I was informed by the manager to come back and get my drink remade on the house. I showed the workers the message and my review, but they were unaware of what was going on. They quickly got on top of it and reached out to the owner for clarification and got me together. I ordered a honey Lavender Latte (iced). It was so delicious. It was not overly sweet and you can definitely taste both the honey and lavender. This may be my go to drink. I also ordered the breakfast Sammie. It's a breakfast sandwich with bacon, fried egg, cheese, and cinnamon butter on sourdough bread. They toasted the bread perfectly and sprinkled it with a touch of sea salt. I should've gotten a side of cinnamon butter or a little extra to incorporate a little more sweetness to balance out the salty. It was delicious and filling. Thank you Rachel for ensuring my next visit and drink was better than the first!
I was skeptical of this coffee shop from the exterior, but it has a quickly become one of my favorites! The staff is always so friendly and the food is so good. They are always packed, but they do have additional seating upstairs. We got a couple of pastries and some breakfast items with flavored lattes. I do like that they have some homemade syrups! Highly recommend this place for a quick brunch or coffee.
I f*cking love Coma Coffee. It is the perfect work from home / study / hangout spot. The food is great and I'm glad they have such a robust menu. Their drinks are also fabulous and I've been working my way through their menu. I gotta say the lavender latte is a favorite. Definitely wanna go back and try their cold brew with the chocolate cold foam! I will say for remote workers it can get a little loud. So bring your noise canceling headphones and make sure your laptop / devices are charged cause they don't have a ton of outlets either. All that to say, the wifi is strong and I've never had issues with it.
It's strong! It's black. It's strong black coffee! Jet A Fuel for me! She runs bold. This spot has great parking and plenty of space to work. The aesthetic is quiet and head down! She's also got snacks! For the folks who love the syrups and pumps here and there, they have you covered! Wish I liked it! Quick friendly service!
What an absolute gem in brentwood! In an area that is a desert for good coffee Coma can be your oasis. Multi level, vibey, and delicious. First and foremost the workers are awesome. Just a slew of coffee loving folks smiling and having a good time serving students, partners, professionals, and everyone in between. You can study, catch up with friends, and even have yourself an AM espresso martini. Bar seating, table seating, stools. No matter the occasion they got you set. Oh, and the pastry box is DECADENT! The confetti cookie is incredible.
I came in to test Coma out as a coffee shop to get some work done outside of my home office. Came in on a Friday late morning. Most of the tables downstairs were already taken but I lucked out and someone was leaving as I arrived. Didn't have a chance to peek upstairs but it seemed pretty busy. Variety of coffee beverages, including seasonal specials! I had a dirty turmeric latte special which had good flavor but note that is comes iced by default. Appreciates the variety of breakfast and lunch options but will say that the prices are kind of high for what you get. Definitely recommend a biscuit though! Great texture and flavor!

I stopped into Coma Coffee looking forward to trying something new and interesting--a strawberry matcha latte with a shot of espresso. Unfortunately, my experience from the moment I walked in was uncomfortable and disappointing. I was greeted at the register by a staff member who was dry and disinterested. I placed my order and sat near the bar to wait. While my drink was being made, I overheard two baristas talking about it. One barista began preparing the drink by adding strawberry syrup to the milk, while the other mixed the matcha and espresso together. Midway through, one said to the other, "Why are you doing it like that? It makes the drink not as pretty." Despite this comment, they continued anyway and handed me the drink, fully aware it didn't look right. It ended up being an unappetizing brown-green color. That interaction alone made me feel like I was being handed something they weren't proud of. It felt careless and awkward--especially as a customer who paid for a specific, customized drink. Feeling uneasy about the whole thing, I went back to the register and explained what I saw and heard. Instead of an apology or any attempt to make it right, I got a half-hearted explanation about the "buoyancy" of espresso and matcha--something I know isn't the real issue. It felt dismissive and insincere, like they were brushing me off rather than addressing my concern. At the end of the day, it's not just about how the drink looked (though it looked bad)--it's about how I was made to feel. If the staff openly criticize how a drink is being made in front of the customer and then serve it anyway, it sends the message that quality and customer experience don't matter. I left feeling unwelcome and disappointed. I won't be returning.

Easy coffee shop good for working in. Stopped here after an early morning flight and grabbed a coffee (seasonal coconut offering) and a cheddar scallion biscuit. I was disappointed the kitchen was closed because I really wanted protein and fresh food, but the cheddar biscuit was delicious and helped fill the void. The drink was very tasty. Stopped in to get a coffee and a bite to eat. When you pull in the parking lot, I always find a spot on the right side and head in the main entrance. The coffee shop is on the right and you enter there and get in line for the counter ordering. There is a case with treats to tempt you right there and a stack of menu's to peruse. Ordering is easy and the cashier was friendly. I decided on a salted coconut latte, on their seasonal items board. I had decided on Avocado toast, it tempted me most as it was served on Union Loafers bread, who can resist that? Not me. I was given a number and chose to sit at the counter, lots of tables and counter space and additional room up the stairs. When my name was called for my latte, I was excited! It was beautiful! I really enjoyed the flavor, not too sweet and just the right amount of coconut. A server brought my avocado toast. It was also beautiful. All you need is positioned at the end of the counter, utensils, napkins, go boxes, hot sauce, etc. I liked the presentation but immediately spread the microgreens over the whole toast, moved the egg to the center and cut the toast in half forgetting to take a picture! Darn, camera always eats first but I totally forgot. I enjoyed the toast and would order it again. Good food, friendly staff! read more
What an odd name for a coffee shop located in the lobby of a medical office building. Er, I'm assuming this is a medical office building. I've only gone there to have blood work done, and even then, only because I couldn't get an appointment at any of the other locations, natch. My understanding is that this building was built back in the 1980s, maybe around the time they built the Galleria, with the thought that if they built one such building others would follow. Fast forward 40 years later and not only is this the only skyscraper in the area, it's one of the only (semi-) occupied structures on this accursed stretch of Brentwood Blvd. I imagine foot traffic is minimal, but I'd encourage anyone who just got off the MetroLink on their way to stab someone at the aforementioned Galleria to stop by and have a look. This place makes a mean Strawberry Matcha. It might honestly be better than the one I had at the Upshot in Clayton, which I passed on my run from here yesterday. It took all the strength of will I could muster to not stop and have a burrito, like when Bill Clinton used to stop at McDonald's on his runs back in the early '90s. Weirdly, I'm now the exact same age, and let's just say I get it. All of it. I love the fact that they give this drink to you not stirred, so you can see the separation between the milk, the strawberry syrup and the matcha (whatever that is). A girl I was with (but not "with," natch) remarked that it looked like an Italian flag. Also, it probably ensures that you're getting the various ingredients in the correct ratio. Sometimes you get these lattes, and they mostly just taste like milk. They're not putting enough syrup in them, and the issue might be that the syrup is visually indistinguishable from the rest of the drink. It's a brown-ish liquid in another brown-ish liquid. The only way to know if it's right would be to taste it, and I don't need some of these baristas tasting my drink. I don't know where their mouth has been. (Some of them could do literally anything and I'd be fine with it.) Anyway, it was a good drink. The burrito wasn't as good as the burrito at Upshot, but it might be the second best one that I've had, and I've had breakfast burritos from all over: Living Room, Bike Stop Cafe, Goshen Coffee Roasters. They give you the choice between bacon or a non-meat option. I didn't think to specify (the heat may have permanently damaged my brain), and they had the sense to give me bacon. Kudos! I like the fact that there's potato in addition to the bacon and egg, providing variety and heft. The monterey jack cheese gives it a vaguely southwestern vibe, and then the chipotle crema that comes with it (truly a miracle substance) really sets it off. I also got a Pesto and Parm Focaccia, on a recommendation from one of the girls in our group. I didn't need it, and if the taste was any indication, this was one of the least healthy things I've ever eaten--like an elevated Cheddar Bay Biscuit from Red Lobster, if you can imagine. But it was good, and it was further proof that this place knows what they're doing, weird name and location notwithstanding. read more

There is more than one reason this place is packed every day of the week despite being in an unassuming spot at the bottom of an office building. The food is good, the coffee is great, and the natural lighting helps you feel not so bad about being inside working! I appreciate the all day options of both breakfast and lunch, the copious veggie options, and the creative lattes and cold brews. It is a little expensive but they are clearly making everything to order. That's why every time I have an errand in Brentwood, I bring my laptop along to get some work done in Coma's ambiance. read more

This is my third time here and first time trying the food. I normally get the coffee or matcha. Service is quick and there's plenty of seating but it gets really busy. It's nice to study here if you find a spot. The food wasn't too bad either! read more

Coma is always my go to spot whenever I'm in the area. The drinks are always wonderful and the people working very friendly! It can get quite busy on the weekends but I love sitting in the upstairs area! Beware that food can some times take awhile! read more
This spot is easy to miss but in a great location. We ordered a coffee, a chocolate croissant, an iced strawberry matcha, and a breakfast burrito with the southwest vegan patty. I really enjoyed the strawberry matcha, it's unique and something I haven't seen anywhere else. I was also impressed with the burrito and the multiple vegetarian options they offered. There are some large tables and lots of people studying/working. Seems like a great spot to get some work done and hang out. read more
My second "office" of the day, I spent about three hours here this morning plugging away at emails and dialing in to Zoom bridges. The wifi worked well but the space is a bit loud for trying to work. All we got were coffees for this visit but it was really good! I got a sugar cookie latte and it wasn't super super sweet, which I prefer! It also didn't leave my teeth scummy like some places do. Also, even though we didn't get food, the baked goods were so tempting. They had some cookies and scones, and a couple muffins too. It was a modern vibe but still cozy. The upstairs was especially inviting because of all the sofas and comfy chairs, whereas downstairs is more tables. We found some comfy chairs downstairs and just had nice time being out. The lady who took our order was really kind. There wasn't a ton to do for us but she was nice. Also, while we're there, one of the workers spilled steamed milk on herself and o saw all the other workers, jump to her assistance and asked if she was okay, so the staff seemed great! This place is sort of tucked away and I didn't realize it replaced the Skybar until I got here. When I walked in, I was taken aback that it was two stories! I def. thought it was best that they had two levels but also appreciative of all the space they had. The menu has quite a few options to choose ranging from breakfast sandwiches and bowls to salads, burgers and pastries. It truly has a little dabble of everything, which is great when you can't figure out what you want to eat. I met with a friend and while I was going to get one of the hash bowls, I opted last minute to get the pesto and Parmesan foccacia instead, as well as a chocolate chip cookie to go. They heated up my focaccia and off we went. The foccacia roll was reminiscent of the focaccia they used to sell at Bread co, except this was better. It was super light and airy, with the perfect amount of Parmesan and pesto inside. It's def. light and while I was worried I'd be full, I was eagerly awaiting my next one! My friend ordered a cappuccino and I loved how they made the design with the milk. When you're done eating, they kindly ask that you buss your own table and provided a bin for you to place your dishes in. Stopped by for a quick coffee. I got the 12 oz caramel latte. It was the perfect little sized latte. Their flavors are house made and the caramel was really good. The 12 oz lattes have 2 shots of espresso and the 16 oz have 3 shots of espresso. The flavors for their lattes were limited and I wish they had a few more options, but overall the lattes were very good and service was quick. read more
Coma is a great study space for students looking to study. It can get crowded, so really depends on what time you get there. I love the fruit matcha lattes they have and it's great that they also have a comprehensive breakfast/lunch menu which is awesome when you really have to grind for a couple hours. I've heard so many great things about Coma Coffee Roasters, and I finally had the chance to try it out. I loved their Signature Campfire Latte, and I was surprised they had food offerings beyond just bakery and pastry goods. The interior has a very hip, and urban vibe to it, with lots of natural light and filled with many young, trendy-looking customers working and studying. I knocked off one star due to the slightly odd location, right inside a random high-rise office building. It's not difficult to find, but it's more of destination rather than stumbling across by accident. read more

Can we have updated hours on here? I just called and the machine says you guys close at 2pm every day, the website says 4pm and on here it says 8pm weekdays. Help!
Hello!!! Our hours are updated on our website and Yelp! Sorry for the confusion. On Sunday we close at 4. Monday - Thursday we close at 8pm and Friday’s and Saturdays we close at 10pm.
