I enjoyed the coffee more than the matcha here, I am more of a matcha person though. I like that they are open until later which is great for studying. The staff is really nice and friendly and the drinks are made quickly. It does get a bit busy and seats fill up but it's a big space. I believe they have people play music in there sometimes too.
What a cute cafe! Super clean inside with amazing prices. Stopped in to try a matcha. The quality was okay, still had a bit of an aftertaste but the brown sugar syrup was fabulous! I also loved that they had ready made flower bouquets to buy from a separate seller! Definitely will come back to try a coffee next time.
Piper's is the best. It is a cute coffee shop with great lighting and seating. I am a huge fan of their bar in the middle! It adds a nice community feel to the space. The service is always good here and the drinks are even better. I love they have a rotating seasonal menu. My partner had the caramelized banana latte and I tried a sip and can verify it's as delicious as it sounds. Me personally, I'm a matcha fan and I added a lavender cold foam to the top. It was the perfect summer sipper to cool down :) For people using laptops, their wifi is great! They also seem to have a decent amount of outlets so you can stay charged. With vibes like this, I know I'm gonna be coming back soon :)
A great corner spot located off Kingshighway. I love Pipers for their creative, seasonal syrups. As part of their spring menu this year, they had a house-made brown butter lemon syrup. Their summer menu lineup was even more impressive. They have great natural light. For this reason, it's a great place to post up and work. A few times I have had to wait quite a long time for my drink, so I wouldn't recommend for a quick stop. Still, the drinks are always pleasant.
I went here on a Saturday afternoon for a quick study session and to try the matcha after hearing good reviews. I was able to find street parking, and I ordered the Iced Caramelized Banana Matcha and a peach pop tart pastry. Both were so good! This was definitely one of the best matcha lattes I have had in STL and would recommend anyone to try it. The staff were friendly and quick with their service, as well. I found a table to sit at quickly and thoroughly enjoyed my time at Piper's!
My friend and I tried the cold brew with cold foam and caramelized banana latte. Both were fantastic! You can even flavor the cold foam which was cool. I think they may have advertised some additional items/flavors on their Instagram so that's what initially caught our attention to this place. Parking is kind of a pain, but the delicious drinks made up for it!
I make a trip here at least 1x a week because I have yet to find a better matcha in town. While there's a different barista every time I go, they're always so nice and sometimes shower me in compliments! Ive also never seen it super busy but I've never waited longer than 7-8 mins for my drink. One thing I wish is that they had more pastry options, but I guess I should try and go when they're fully stocked up. There seems to only be a few options like a pop tart or muffins when I visit. Other than that, the best place to study or work on a few things as there's never any wait for a table during the workweek (not sure about weekends), and it's pretty quiet inside. Thanks for always being my go-to
If you're looking for a cute coffee spot, you have to check out Pipers Tea and Coffee. The atmosphere is adorable, and I love that they sell fresh flowers. The Pop-Tart and the cookie were both so good!
This is a cute and cozy coffee shop! Plenty of space to spread out and work or for a coffee date. They have a few tasty pastry options. I tried the pumpkin muffin which was good ( you of course get it warmed). I tried one of their fall drinks, the fall spice. It was pretty good although I do wish my drinks were a little sweeter, but that's just my own taste. They even made a little heart on top! Staff was very friendly, fast, and efficient. Excited to come back and maybe do some homework or hang out with classmates another time!
I love Pipers Tea & Coffee! The workers are always so nice & v helpful with recommendations. I loooove the vibe. It's full of natural light & PLENTY of seating for catching up with a friend, a good space for a group & a great spot to go by yourself if you want to work. Not only do they have great coffee but don't sleep on the homemade pop tarts Street parking only & it's kind of hard to find on a busy day so be prepared! Check out Pipers Tea & Coffee on S Kingshighway
Pipers Tea & Coffee is a nice coffee/tea business located in south city. They serve a variety of leaf teas, coffees, and offer a few pastries. They also sell packages and tins of their teas and coffees, as well as artisan chocolates and tea brewing equipment. I decided to stop in here right after having lunch close by and ordered the Moroccan Mint Green Tea as recommended by the barista. It had a nice subtle mint and green tea flavor and I quite enjoyed this hot treat. Their indoor space was also nice. It included a lounge area as well as a more structured work space with tables and chairs. I look forward to trying some of their other teas in the future!
Amazing blueberry cobbler latte, the prices are a little high especially if you get alternative milk, but it's honestly worth it for this seasonal drink. The cafe itself is so cute and pretty, lots of natural light. There's WiFi and lots of power outlets so it's a great place to get work done. My drink came out quickly and very well made! The baristas are great and have amazing style and vibes, totally recommend. I want to be friends with every single one of them
Walking into this place, I had a moment where I thought, "oh no, Ive made a mistake. This is one of those super hipster coffee places that's going to make me feel like an idiot and out of place!" Nothing could have been further from the truth! The baristas were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering to adjust a recipe to be less sweet for one of our party. They answered our other questions without any judgement or eye rolls that can sometimes happen at places like this, We were there in the evening and it was filled with people working on their laptops. Probably 20 or so, and it was super quiet, as everyone was doing their own thing. A beautiful space, which I image is better during the day, probably filled with light and a nice place to sit and work. Our drinks came out quickly and were tasty, probably because of the syrups that they make on site. A nice surprise to come across after dinner!
Great coffee, friendly staff, fast service and a lovely corner spot with beautiful plants and decor. It's definitely a spot to order coffee and take some time to chill, sip and savor. My friend is a super fan of their chai tea latte so I ordered an iced dirty chai with oat milk. Definitely the best chai latte I've had. They mix brown sugar into the drink and it's heavenly! read more

After visiting the Farmers Market, I needed more coffee, so I stopped in at Piper's Tea and Coffee. I have been a couple of times before, but it isn't near my home area so haven't been often. It is a really cute space with lots of different types of seating. I really enjoy some of the local art they display. Service was friendly, upbeat and with a smile and conversation. I got a Mocha with oat milk, and it came up quickly. I sat for a bit and sipped the mocha; it was really good - lots of chocolate and coffee flavor! They had a pop-up smoothie bowl going on, I had eaten a few things at the market so didn't have room but it looked great! read more

Stopped in for a quick cup with a friend. The cinnamon honey latte hit the spot. There's nothing better than a latte out of a real glass. Perfectly brewed and stunningly beautiful The vibes in Pipers are great! If you have some work you need to do, or want to meet a friend - this is a great spot. read more

I ordered the Chia Latte with whole milk. Unlike most places, this shop makes their own chai concentrate and it definitely makes the latte one of my favorites! I picked this drink from the recommendation of the server and greatly appreciate her rec! Loved studying here as the music isn't too loud and there's tons of spots and outlets to work from. read more

This is cute spot to grab a coffee/tea and some pastries. We arrived an hour before closing so they were down to a few pastries. I grabbed one of ther oat thumbprint cookies and paired it with their seasonal matcha strawberry lemonade. I loved how well they paired together. My partner got an iced American. The space is beautiful and well lit. I saw people studying, reading and chatting it up. We will be back. read more
Had a great time doing work at Pipers! There were many places to sit - one side has smaller tables for sitting and chilling and the other side has taller tables and couches to do work or chill we well. The aesthetics of this cafe are so cute - lots of beige and plants with cute accents. The workers were very nice and friendly. Will definitely be back to try more drinks while working! read more
Great place for both coffee and a little pastry to go and hangout with friends. Great atmosphere. I have been to this place several time this year so far. I definitely will be back! Parking is street parking. I can always find parking near the coffee shop if I go early or about half a block away if I go later. There are two entrances the front and side entrance. I used the side entrance since I park closer to it. There are quite a few seating area and I never had trouble with finding seats when I go here in the morning. The people here are nice. You order your coffee then they will let you know when it is ready for you to go up to the counter to retrieve your drink. read more

Pipers is one of my go to coffee shops because of the aesthetic and energy in this place and the number of seating available! Even if the tables are full, which a lot of the times they can be since this place is so popular, the bar seating cannot miss (plus they have bag hooks too). Their matcha and lattes have always been delicious and their gongfu tea is my go to when I need caffeine but not coffee caffeine. Plus, you can get a free refill on the same tea! The staff is incredible and super friendly, often times bringing my drink over to me if not too busy :) read more
Everything about Pipers is wonderful. The aesthetic of the spot is airy and light. With the white countertops, gold hardware, and unique wall paper, it gives a super awesome vibe... like you're happy to be there! There is a ton of natural light which I love and think you can never have enough of. I typically get the same thing each time I go lol, which is a nonfat iced latte. They serve them in can glasses which I love! Not sure why, but it's just a nice little extra touch. They carry local items from Whisk and Siftd which is fantastic. We all love a good local collab! It's a great spot to work on your laptop or meet up with friends. I think the only thing that could make it even better would be them adding a patio, but I doubt that will happen due to the building/ space. I enjoy what they have already :) Love coming here! read more

I've been to Pipers a handful of times now. Every espresso drink I have had from Piper's has been delicious. I've brought friends before and they all loved it too. The wait is a little inconsistent sometimes I've had to wait awhile, sometimes it's really quick. It just depends how busy they are. The one thing that bothers me a little about Piper's is that they label the drinks with the name of the drink, instead of using the person's name. I don't know what the reason for this is, maybe they have a good one, but it has caused confusion half of the times i've gone there because I get a pretty common order. It's just always a little awkward when somebody behind you takes your drink or if you have to figure out which one is yours with another customer. Also, I've tried their matcha, and my opinion is that if you like your matcha flavored with honey, it's really good. But if you like it flavored with vanilla, it's not my favorite. With all of that said, the ambiance inside is really lovely and classy. It's a very cute place and unique that the coffee bar is in the middle of the room. It has great natural lighting, which was always something that I loved in cafe for studying. The baristas are all great too from my experience. I cannot express enough that I LOVE their coffee and the ambiance, just could improve in other areas. read more
Pipers is a fabulous addition to the new, Crown District that is becoming a hot spot along South Kingshighway. The ambiance is crisp, clean and bright. The white decor, with copper accents, gives this coffee shop an upscale feeling, that has been long overdue in the coffee shops of STL. During my first visit, I enjoyed one of their seasonal drink specials, Rose Hunny Tuxedo Latte. It truly was a treat. Pipers made the Rose Honey Syrup in house and it also used Oberweis Chocolate milk (local dairy) along with White Chocolate Syrup and the shot of espresso. It was garnished with rose petals, just like a fancy cocktail. My friend who was introducing me to her new and favorite coffee shop, enjoyed a Chocolate Covered Strawberry Mocha and its garnish was Dried Strawberries. Again, a classy touch. The baristas were hustling to keep up with the long line that stayed consistent throughout our visit. Lucky for us, we were able to get two stools at the counter and re-charge our phones using the outlets under the counter. Outlets and hooks under bars/counters are one of my favorite things. They do offer a small variety of baked goods from the local bakery, Whisk. In addition to those baked goods, they also offer Macaroons from, La Beaume Co. I'm addicted to macaroons, but I wasn't hungry the day I visited. That gives me an excuse to return. Gotta love it when a new local business, supports other local businesses. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. They were all hustling to keep up with the constant crowd. Even with their hustling, there was a slight wait for the specialty drinks. Lucky for me, I got to meet Peter the owner and congratulate him on this thriving business. Even though I really liked this coffee shop, I have two reasons why I did not give them 5 Stars. 1) None of the retail items had price tags or shelf tags telling you the price. Big inconvenience. 2) Notification of your drinks being ready. Acoustics in the room are bad and when you came to claim your drink, there were no names on them. Many times more then one person was standing there wondering which one was their drink and had to wait for the barista to come back over and explain who's drink it was. Even with a Starbuck's directly across the street, this place is the bomb and I wish them much success. Drink your coffee local. read more
