Bacon wrapped meatloaf with fried green tomato on top

I am already a fan of their brunch and desserts. Now I know they can deliver for dinner to. Currently, they have 3 courses for $45 offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays. They did not skimp on these courses. Everyone about this visit was perfect! We enjoyed our food, server, and the whole staff.

Amazing food and drink menu on the cutest patio. Staff was all welcoming and very personable. I will definitely be returning for the Wednesday and Thursday 3 course menu special!

Typically known for brunch and made from scratch baked goods, Russell's on Macklind also offers dinner service and wow is it GOOD. This quaint and cozy spot serves up seriously delicious, seasonally inspired dishes that really impress. We started with the focaccia topped with ricotta, balsamic, and roasted grapes. The focaccia is house made, fresh, buttery, and perfectly grilled, then we layered with creamy ricotta and roasted grapes balsamic reduction. Honestly, perfection. Next up were the fried potato croquettes. Crispy panko on the outside with fluffy potato on the inside, served with a ranch style dipping sauce. For entrées, we had the sourdough and fennel stuffed pork tenderloin wrapped in crispy bacon over Parmesan grits, the grilled dry aged filet topped with crispy shallots and red wine reduction served over buttermilk mashed potatoes with broccolini, and the ricotta gnudi. Pillowy cheese filled pasta paired with roasted seasonal vegetables and mushrooms in a creamy white sauce. Every dish was thoughtfully executed and the flavors worked so well together. For dessert, we shared two of their house baked and very large cupcakes. Fluffy, generously filled, and topped with plenty of buttercream, it was such a great way to end the meal. I highly recommend not only coming here for brunch, but also making it a go to dinner spot. It is perfect for gathering with friends, celebrating a special occasion, or just treating yourself to a really great night out with exceptional food.

FINALLY made it to Russell's for brunch this weekend after hearing good things for years! We made a reservation but our table took a bit longer to be ready, which wasn't a huge deal. we were seated on the patio with heaters, each of the chairs also had a little blanket which I loved since it was so cold today! We of course split the cinnamon roll to start and it is everything I dreamed of and more - you HAVE to get this! I also split the braised beef and cheddar and the Cuban with my friend. Both were great but the Cuban was really special - insanely delicious and a huge portion! The waitress was very nice but our food and drinks ended up taking a long time. She did mention our tables food was coming out the slowest and she was extremely apologetic and comped our beverages to make up for the delay which was so kind, classy and appreciated! Fantastic service, great aesthetic, and amazing food. This is all it's cracked up to be! So good that I forgot to take pics of the sandwiches... definitely make a reservation and check this brunch out!!

Had a late brunch and it was a hit as usual. Got the delicious biscuits to start which is a must have. Our group ordered a variety of sandwiches and the portion sizes were huge. As we dined in towards the end of the brunch period, we were also sent home with a variety of pastries from behind the counter free of charge which was a very pleasant and delicious surprise!

Brunch at Russell's is what dreams are made of. My friend and I came here without a reservation, and we were lucky enough to snag a table without a super long wait time. In the meantime, we weee able to grab a cocktail and admire the bakery items. The presentation on their baked goods is amazing. We sat upstairs at the bar. The bartender was so great, very personable and great to talk to. We ended up so little the biscuits with a side of gravy (highly recommend) and I got the Cuban sandwich. The sandwich is MASSIVE. It will definitely last you 2 meals, and is also served with fries. The bread is crunchy and soft, and the flavors all completed one another well. I loved it. To drink I had the sangria and the float trip. The sangria was my favorite, not too sweet and the fresh fruit really makes it feel elevated. Russell's is always a hit and I will come here anytime.

Came here for brunch based on good reviews, and we were not disappointed. Made a reservation, so the wait was not long. There is a large indoor and outdoor seating area, and we were situated outdoors on a very nice day. We got the burrito, lola, and the buttermilk biscuits, all of which hit the spot. The biscuits were really well-textured and had a good butter flavor to it. All of the jam, honey, and additional butter were excellent additions to the blank canvas of the biscuit. It was not dry, and the balance of salty and sweet was delightful. The lola was also excellent; the bun was perfectly airy and soft. The eggs were cooked to the perfect consistency, and the aioli added a nice little extra oomph to the overall flavor profile. Finally, the breakfast burrito was phenomenal. The cilantro was subtle, and the pork had a delightful saltiness to it. The richness was balanced by the pickled green chiles. Overall, this is an excellent place, and we will return for sure. 5/5 stars.

Stopped in for brunch and it was delicious! I had the Lola Jean Sandwich. 10/10. Russell's is cozy with a warm, welcoming feel. They have 2 floors where you can eat. I also had an oatmilk latte that did not disappoint. Our service was great. And they have cases full of, To good to pass up baked goods to choose from on your way out for later!!

Great service and interesting dishes. Ricotta Gnudi was such an interesting dish. Even gave a free dessert.

I've been meaning to try Russell's for YEARS after buying multiple of their gooey butter cakes from Fresh Thyme. They currently have a deal on some weeknights where you can get a salad, entree, and dessert for a set price! The bacon-wrapped meatloaf blew my mind; this is not your normal meatloaf! It was huge and had so much flavor and came on buttery mashed potatoes. I also tried some of my friend's local Buttonwood chicken on warm potato salad. The warm potato salad is actually perfectly roasted potato chunks, and the chicken was so tender and juicy. And finally, the desserts. I was a little overwhelmed by how many options there were in the dessert window display and wanted to try ALL Of them. I finally settled on the fluffy toasted coconut cake which was like eating a delicious coconut cloud. I also tried my friend's chocolate caramel cake which was SO rich, and the chocolate chip cheesecake, which made me want to go back and try the other 3 types of cheesecakes they had on display.

Incredible. Great value. Place was packed but that did not affect the service or food quality. Very neat looking building - I recommend sitting upstairs. Our bartender/server was top notch (Meagan, I believe). Two people next to us ordered one cinnamon roll...to split? Ya, it was the size of a loaf of bread!

First and foremost: get a cinnamon roll for the table to share. The quality of everything is top notch. I ordered the Lola Jean's Egg sandwich and the soft scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was THICK, and the paprika aioli was a nice touch. Their breakfast potatoes are actually crispy and not an afterthought like most places. I added chipotle aioli and it was chef's kiss. This is the type of place where you'd want to work your way through the entire menu, because everything sounds incredible and thoughtfully conceived.

This is the OG. Loved this place from its beginning, the owner does a great job creating an experience for guests. Food is always 10/10 and best bakery in st. louis. I dream of the chocolate ganache cake. It's perfect for a date night or a birthday dinner. They allow dogs on the patio and it's absolutely adorable. They also have a porch as well as upstairs seating. Overall, such a good spot. I can't stress enough how good the bakery is.

We didn't chat with anyone as we shopped but once we got to the counter, they were friendly and helpful. The line went by quickly and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. My compatriots also got several things and I'll add their reviews too! Cannoli - the filling had a gap in the middle and it was little disappointing. The filling was good. The shell was a bit thick. Pretty good overall. Cheesecake - not my favorite. Tasted good and the texture was perfect but not cream cheese-y enough for my liking. The chocolate version might be better. Giant meringue - really good! Nice and crumbly with a great taste. Wedding cookies - didn't taste like anything and they were super dry. Literally no almond flavor at all.
