It reminds me of Napoleon cake and it's amazing

This place never disappoints! We came today with the kids, got bunch of things. All fresh and tasty. Kids started eating chocolate chip cookies in the car and we had chocolate churros. So amazing! One thing we missed today was the caramel churros, but we came after 4 pm I am sure those delicious things were sold out first! We also love all the wonderful ladies who works there!

    So many treats!

Diana's has such a huge selection of beautiful treats, the hardest part is making a choice! Today I opted for some chocoflan, which was absolutely delicious. Everything looks so perfect I can't wait to go back and try more! The staff is super friendly too.

It doesn't take much to tempt me into a smorgasbord of sweets. Your first step's into Diana's are filled with the aromatics of baking spices from cinnamon, to nutmeg, to sugar--and everything in between. The selection is huge. Tons and tons of pastries line the racks. With traditional offerings to more out of the box they have something for everyone. We got a chocolate chip cookie, a birthday cake scone thing, cannoli, and a layered s'more-esque dessert. The cookie and scone were fine. Pretty crispy and not a ton of flavor. I would not get them again if I am being honest. The cannoli was wonderful. The filling was creamy and fluffy with a beautiful richness. The casing was crispy and brittle. The s'mores dessert was the star. It was layered with a flaky croissant like base. With a super light whipped cream/frosting between layers. Of course, topped with a thin layer of a rich icing and chocolate drizzle. An insane amount of offerings, with plenty that I missed out on. Would happily go back to try some other items. The workers were likewise great!

Diana's Bakery is located on historic Cherokee Street and was a recent and delightful discovery for someone like me with a penchant for authentic Mexican pastries. As you step into this unassuming bake shop, you're immediately hit with the sugary goodness smell. The bakery has an impressive array of over 100 traditional Mexican treats. Choosing just a few items will be impossible. The conchas, with their sweet, crunchy topping, are a must-try. The churros, golden and crisp, are a testament to the bakery's dedication to traditional recipes. Check out my haul. You grab a glove and a tray and off you are on your journey to picking the treats that suit your fancy. The friendly staff are eager to guide you through their offerings and share the stories behind each treat. I love making discoveries like this.

I have been to Diana's and I am probably the only person who doesn't like it. I want to like this bakery and I have been a few times, but to me most of the baked goods don't seem fresh. Lot of dry bready items and it's just not my vibe. The one thing I DO love here is the tamales. I know, I go to a bakery and my favorite thing is a non bakery item, but hey, it is what it is. the service is good, the people who work there are always nice, but unless you are seeking out a specific Mexican bakery item, I would skip it. Unless you want a tamale!

Great prices, excellent quality, and outstanding service! I love this place and will definitely be coming back soon. The staff is friendly, and the overall experience is always fantastic!

Tamales were AMAZING! We got several bakery items as well and they were all delicious. There are so many options we had to refrain from buying 1 of everything. All of the workers were so friendly and their prices are so incredibly reasonable! Definitely a go to spot for us now!

I was like a kid in a candy store here! My friend drove past it and I made her stop for us to go in and it was one of the best decisions I've made. That was the best churro and cannoli I've ever had! Obsessed

Got 2 sandwiches for lunch: the smoked pork and the roast beef sandwhich. Still can't decided which one was better because both were DELISH. The focaccia on the smoked pork was sooo soft and fluffy and light, combination of coleslaw with the pork was perfect. I thought there was no way the roast beef could be as good yet once again proven wrong. The challah was perfect and whatever cheese they had with the roast beef sandwhich was perfect. Pro tip: you can ask for the sandwiches to be heated up! As for the desserts: I really wanted a cake sweet treat but my eyes were bigger than my belly could handle. Got the maple pull, chocolate almond croissant , and ham and gruyere croissant. Which I cannot wait to eat tomorrow for breakfast!! Place is busy but moves fast. Side chairs and table to sit along the window.

We stopped by on a whim once I realized how relatively close it was and not in the city. There is only window seating (maybe 6 chairs total) so majority ordered to go The pastry case was a gold mine of treats and various cakes! While my husband and I thought about our order, they got drinks started for us: an iced tea and a vanilla latte. We ended up with: smoked pork sandwich, prosciutto sandwich, caia (vanilla bean mousse cake), a chocolate croissant, a cheesy focaccia roll. The breads for the sandwiches were great and soft after being warmed up! My toddler loved the caia and refused to share with us. I liked their chocolate croissant and it would have been ideal with a hot cup of coffee. I highly recommend for literally all occasions!

Honestly, if you judged it by the outside, you might drive right past it. There is one parking spot in front, and then a run down parking lot behind and to the side. The moment I walked in, I felt like I was back in my childhood. The lime green decor, the dark bakery display cases filled with buns, and the small plates of food inside reminded me of the Cantonese bakeries I grew up going to. They also had ready to go meals wrapped up to take home. We bought a bunch of things to try. We had the beef cheung fun, siu mai, BBQ pork baos, sesame balls, egg custard tarts, and one of my favorites, the giant round sponge cake. Everything was fresh and really tasty. The roast pork looked delicious too, with nice crispy skin. The biggest surprise for me was seeing lo po beng (Old Wife Cake). We can hardly ever find it on the East Coast, so whenever we do, we always buy some for my mom. Seeing it here made me so happy. I live in the Metro D.C. area, where we have some really good Cantonese bakeries, so I wasn't expecting much from this tiny place. But honestly, Wei Hong Bakery could definitely give many of the bakeries back home a run for their money. Don't let the outside fool you. If you're looking for authentic Cantonese bakery items in St. Louis, this little bakery is absolutely worth a visit. It brought back so many childhood memories, and I'd definitely stop again the next time I'm in town.

My friend spent a little extra time browsing all the pastry cases before finally making her selections and ordering a coffee as well. While we waited, we admired the beautiful cakes on display and talked about all the incredible-looking pastries. Honestly, I wish I could have ordered one of everything because that's what I really wanted to do! Pastries are one of my biggest weaknesses, and choosing just one or two items is never easy at a bakery like this. Everything looked delicious. Last year, (I waited that long) I sent Simone, the owner, a message on instagram to let her know I was frustrated about having trouble getting any of the crème puffs she was constantly advertising. They were one of my favorite pastries she made. (Obv not super important I just thought she may not know & what could it hurt giving her some input from a customer, she may know know?) In this message I also told her how long I'd been supporting her & why and how much I loved her bakery. She is black, female, and truly an artist and master at her craft. With a good personality, That being said; she unleashed her fury on me, one of the angriest most condescending messages I had ever read. Not sure if I caught her on a bad day or she just doesn't handle feedback well. I was stunned and disappointed. Either way, I would never consider stepping foot into her bakery ever again. Her window has maybe 5 things to choose from. It's pretty sad, but there were 2 items I love love loved, and I drove out of my way and paid top dollar for those items. She's by far one of the most expensive bakeries in St. Louis, but I enjoyed supporting her I thought she was great. And she has a moving story. Sadly she doesn't know how to handle customers or feedback. I'm in customer service, 30 years, that's not how you do it, I still think she's a cool Person but not enough to support her. We have a ton of fabulous bakeries here I'd rather go to like Nathaniel Reid or Russell's or MO baking co....
