So much to choose from. Very fresh pastry. Churros were Awesome. Cannoli's, Apple tarts, chocolate cake & icing. We will be back.

We went here for pastries and tamales. The Tamales were pretty tasty. I am usually not a Tamales fan but these were good. They have lots of pastries selections and they taste not too sweets which is good. I wish the pastries were also listed in English because I cannot tell what they were and just select them with how they look and hoping they have custard inside. There were just too many of them for me to web search it. read more

Wide range of parties. Very fresh and not over priced. The service was very good. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

This place never disappoints! We came today with the kids, got bunch of things. All fresh and tasty. Kids started eating chocolate chip cookies in the car and we had chocolate churros. So amazing! One thing we missed today was the caramel churros, but we came after 4 pm I am sure those delicious things were sold out first! We also love all the wonderful ladies who works there! read more

Diana's Bakery - It reminds me of Napoleon cake and it's amazing - Bakeries Near Me - Saint Louis, Missouri

Diana's Bakery on Cherokee Street -- ¡qué delicia! A true St. Louis treasure with beautiful Latin flavor. The moment you step into Diana's, you're wrapped in the warm, sweet aroma of a traditional panadería -- fresh breads, sugar-topped pastries, and that unmistakable feeling that everything here is made con amor. The pastry cases are a celebration of color and flavor -- pillowy conchas, golden empanadas, trays of vibrant pan dulce, and fresh breads like bolillos and telera rolls that practically beg to come home with you. Every bite feels authentic, comforting, and joyful -- the kind of baking that carries tradition in every crumb. The conchas are especially spectacular -- soft, lightly sweet, with that perfect sugary shell. Pair one with a cup of coffee and suddenly the whole morning feels like a little fiesta. I especially love popping in and picking up fresh bread for Sunday brunch. There's something about bringing home warm bolillos or sweet pastries that instantly turns brunch into a celebration. But what really makes Diana's shine is the spirit of the place. There's warmth, laughter, and that welcoming neighborhood energy that makes you want to linger just a little longer. The staff are so gracious and kind -- the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like familia. Diana's Bakery is more than a bakery. It's flavor, tradition, culture, and alegría all in one beautiful little spot on Cherokee Street. Auténtico. Delicioso. Puro sabor latino. -- Big Daddy Tedd Energy read more

Unfortunately I think I just don't like a lot of Mexican pastries. My friend that is more familiar with these types of sweets told me that dry and crumbly is the style, and that's just not for me. I tried several different things and didn't really like any of them. The sugar cookie with sprinkles, the almond cookie with powdered sugar, and the frosted chocolate sugar cookie were all no-go for me. I wanted to buy the wagon wheels (not sure if that's what they're actually called?) but they were plain! No cinnamon sugar on them. The service was pretty good! We didn't chat with anyone as we shopped but once we got to the counter, they were friendly and helpful. The line went by quickly and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. My compatriots also got several things and I'll add their reviews too! Cannoli - the filling had a gap in the middle and it was little disappointing. The filling was good. The shell was a bit thick. Pretty good overall. Cheesecake - not my favorite. Tasted good and the texture was perfect but not cream cheese-y enough for my liking. The chocolate version might be better. Giant meringue - really good! Nice and crumbly with a great taste. Wedding cookies - didn't taste like anything and they were super dry. Literally no almond flavor at all. read more

Diana's Bakery - So many treats! - Bakeries Near Me - Saint Louis, Missouri

It doesn't take much to tempt me into a smorgasbord of sweets. Your first step's into Diana's are filled with the aromatics of baking spices from cinnamon, to nutmeg, to sugar--and everything in between. The selection is huge. Tons and tons of pastries line the racks. With traditional offerings to more out of the box they have something for everyone. We got a chocolate chip cookie, a birthday cake scone thing, cannoli, and a layered s'more-esque dessert. The cookie and scone were fine. Pretty crispy and not a ton of flavor. I would not get them again if I am being honest. The cannoli was wonderful. The filling was creamy and fluffy with a beautiful richness. The casing was crispy and brittle. The s'mores dessert was the star. It was layered with a flaky croissant like base. With a super light whipped cream/frosting between layers. Of course, topped with a thin layer of a rich icing and chocolate drizzle. An insane amount of offerings, with plenty that I missed out on. Would happily go back to try some other items. The workers were likewise great! read more

Diana's Bakery is located on historic Cherokee Street and was a recent and delightful discovery for someone like me with a penchant for authentic Mexican pastries. As you step into this unassuming bake shop, you're immediately hit with the sugary goodness smell. The bakery has an impressive array of over 100 traditional Mexican treats. Choosing just a few items will be impossible. The conchas, with their sweet, crunchy topping, are a must-try. The churros, golden and crisp, are a testament to the bakery's dedication to traditional recipes. Check out my haul. You grab a glove and a tray and off you are on your journey to picking the treats that suit your fancy. The friendly staff are eager to guide you through their offerings and share the stories behind each treat. I love making discoveries like this. read more

I have been to Diana's and I am probably the only person who doesn't like it. I want to like this bakery and I have been a few times, but to me most of the baked goods don't seem fresh. Lot of dry bready items and it's just not my vibe. The one thing I DO love here is the tamales. I know, I go to a bakery and my favorite thing is a non bakery item, but hey, it is what it is. the service is good, the people who work there are always nice, but unless you are seeking out a specific Mexican bakery item, I would skip it. Unless you want a tamale! read more

As one who enjoys traveling, especially to other countries, I've tried their known pastries and all are delicious, I've never had a pastry that I disliked. First time here and I am glad that my friend introduced this place to me. We came here on a weekend afternoon and there was a line inside. Made me think that they must be good and they really are! They have a big pastry selection, look and taste like home. :) Cookies, cream filled donuts (kind of like Beignets but bigger), flan, celebratory cakes, custard, layer cakes, Mille-Feuille items.. They have pretty much everything! Place looks clean. They have plastic gloves to pick up items from the display box. This humble bakery has so much to offer! read more

Affordable and fresh. Always welcoming. I am a fiend for the churros, especially chocolate.

Used to be a favorite spot of mine, I'd drive an hour a couple times a week but after being turned away an hour and a half before they closed was enough for me to never come back. Nobody would even come outside to talk to me, just waved me away from inside. I used to spend a lot of money here but I'm all good on that. If you can't honor your hours and are cool with being that negligent to a solid customer then I'll never be back in. Poor customer service, lost a good customer. read more

When I lived in San Diego, I didn't care for the Mexican bakeries just because I wasn't raised with that flavor. However, Diana's bakery is a whole different deal. I would go there every day if I could!!!! everything is so fresh and not overly sweet and beautifully made...go check it out!!!! read more

This is a no frills, old school bakery and it is a gem. Every single thing I've tried there is perfection.

Absolutely incredible! The pan dulce was fresh, and delicious. I got the conchas, cuernitos, orejas, and galletas. Perfect classic pan dulce. I also got some champurrado which was hot, and very creamy. The panaderia was clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The colourful pan dulce brightened an otherwise grey winter day. 10/10 absolutely recommend. read more

I love this bakery for the selection for pastries, confectioneries, and tamales available. I was very confident this bakery was going to blow me out of the park. Upon entering the most insane, sweet smelling smells hit you in the face, the floor to ceiling cases packed with colorful pastries overwhelm you with excitement. I liked the self-serve set up; trays and gloves available to use to grab all you desire. However, despite the convenience, we were not greeted or acknowledged the 10+ minutes we served ourselves. I wanted to get their opinions on what was best or a had-to-have item being our first time in and never having had authentic Mexican desserts before. I didn't feel comfortable due to the near silence from behind the counter, it was slightly uncomfortable with 3+ people working up front. We bought 3 full bags of goodies. Not much was said to us other than being told our totals, regardless we could barely contain our excitement to try everything. Pastries were just okay, not very sweet but the freshness was there. I really wanted to love this place and share with others but kind of bummed regarding the over all lack of hospitality. A friendly face/smile is universal regardless of possible language barriers. read more

So many wonderful items - I can't name them all. I went for the conchas and left with a whole lot more. Fantastic!

Very nice people. Nice selection. Thought the concha's could be a bit fluffier (height wise bigger).

This is a cute old school bakery! Super inexpensive. We spent $7 on many different pastries. We tried the Galletta de Grajea, Concha Grande, caramel donut, deliciosa cookie. Checkout was quick and easy, they take cash & card. There's no seating inside, you just grab a glove/ bag and bag items yourself. We were quite sure what to expect when we tried this place, but were pleasantly surprised. I'd recommend not eating in your car though, very crumbly.... read more

My friend and I were walking down Cherokee street and got/were still kind of hungry from walking around. My friend was craving a churro so I followed him in and found a large space with a bunch of baked goods. I ended up getting a strawberry danish and a concha, while friend got the aforementioned churros. We walked out with them while we continued to go walk. The strawberry danish was pretty good, a little too much syrup flavor, but the concha was good. A good spot to come carb up while you're walking around. read more

If you do one thing at Cherokee Street, come to Diana's Bakery. This little shop has a ton of baked goods at super affordable price points. I think it's a mix between Mexican and Western breads/other baked goods. - Conchas - Usually I don't love the conchas you get at many Mexican bakeries because it's too sweet but Diana's is actually really good. It's not overly sweet and the bread is so soft. - Apple Croissant - Kind of a weird thing to get here but I thought it was pretty good with a lot of big apple chunks inside. - Chicken Tamales - I saw a bunch of locals get tamales from here so I had to try it out. I was worried that it wouldn't taste that great after reheating it, but I was very wrong. After you reheat it, there's still that slightly crispy texture of the corn and the filling was very flavorful. Highly highly recommend! Overall, great find on Cherokee Street. Definitely looking forwards to coming back for more (especially for the tamales)! read more

Love this place. It's as authentic Mexican as you can get. I ordered 2 dozen Churros for my daughter's bridal shower. I arrived about a half hour before I had said I would be there, so I had to wait, the reason? FRESH, HOT, out of the oil churros that were so darn good. I appreciate that they didn't make them up way ahead of time. There were so many yummy and interesting looking baked good, I can't wait to go back. read more

Stopped in during the Cinco de Mayo festival after hearing so many good things. There were a lot of options and I went for the specific ones that had been highly recommended... may as well go for the best! Grabbed 2 kinds of churros and the chocolate iced big donut. We rushed out and dug in... then we gave pause. Stale. Hmm. Well, it certainly wasn't what I was expecting or hoping for. Granted, it was after 6pm and, perhaps this isn't the norm. To say it was "just ok" might be an understatement. Unfortunately, with so many excellent options, I'm just not sure I'd try again. If I do, I'll be sure to update. read more

Visiting from out of town, I saw the reviews and had to stop in. I walked in, and expected something slightly different, but, it worked out, as you can grab your own stuff. Take a bag, put on a glove, and go to town. I ended up grabbing about 10 diff things, and over the course of eating them, some def stood out more than others. The next time i'm in town, i'll stop back in, try some more stuff, and skip over some things I was not a huge fan of, but for the price and selection, def worth it. read more

I've steered clear of Diana's Bakery for as long as I could. Until suddenly I was slipped a delectable orange muffin with a salad I ordered from another Cherokee Street business. After sharing the muffin with a co-worker, he requested another on my next visit. Fast forward 2 days...I went back for an encore of my salad and orange muffin only to be told the muffin actually came from Diana's Bakery! OMG...now I'm forced to step foot into this carbohydrate/sugar heaven that reeks of deliciousness from the curbside. Walked in to Diana's with caution. I wanted to stay forced on the muffin I came for! I was sidetracked by the beautiful cases, cakes, cookies, coffee, coconut macaroons, donuts, churros, chocolate covered strawberries, ice cream freezer, breads and personable service. Grabbed my muffin and wanted to inflict coworkers so I got a bag of churros to spread the love. Diana's is a lovely Bakery, an asset to the Cherokee neighborhood and I will NOT endure this type of temptation alone. ~Christy read more

This was a wonderful bakery. Everything I bought was so good I almost went back the next day. The prices are reasonable, but that means you have to buy quite a bit in order to reach the $8 minimum to use a card. As we recently moved in St. Louis area, we were looking for a authentic bakery. Someone recommended this place and we took 40mins drive to visit this place. It was early evening on a Friday. At first glance the prices seems unreasonably high; $0.75 for single piece of small cookie. We pick about $45 worth of stuff; just had to throw away half of them; nothing but sugar. Regretted the trip; not recommended. read more
